What's NOT so great about 4ed Eladrin? What rock have you been under? Eladrin are the new super-cool race! They have no silly penalties that keep new PC's at first level forever while their comrades reap the benefits of normal level progression. We're so hot now, the Elves from Lord of the Rings would give their eyeteeth to be one of us! Who wants to play as a 4ed Elf? Derpy Newbs, that's who. All the hip players just flock to the Eladrin camp. Why, Justin Bieber just tweeted that he wants to play an Eladrin in an all-Eladrin party! Miley Cyrus updated her Facebook status: OMG! I gotta play the Rouge (sic) character!" Even Kevin Costner has joined up as the Wizard of the party, so says his MySpace page. Paris Hilton's got a YouTube vid in which she proclaims Eladrin Warlords are "totally yummers!" Oh, and who will DM this fantastic all-Eladrin, all-celeb 4ed par-tayy? None other than Perez Hilton! ZOMG! Eladrin Rule!!!
(I think I'm going to spew--gimme a second, here.)

The Addle-pated Djinn has heard your plea for polar avian companionship--and has sent you to Antarctica. Seeing as how this is Summer here, you are unfortunately not properly dressed for the climate. Oh, and if it's Summer here, it's actually Winter down there. And it's very, very dark. You can barely see your new penguin pet. It is only a matter of time before you fail enough Fortitude and Will Saves and you eat it. And then inevitably turn into a popsicle.
Maybe you should have wished for a Pengin Chinpokomon. I hear they were rather rare.
I wish to be Chinpokomon Master!

Gimme the bag o' coals, as my creature type (Extraplanar, {On Vacation}, Lawful, Ba'atezu) makes me immune to fire. Even if I could be harmed by fire, Gimme The Bag O' Coals!
I just keep flashing to the Old Woman In the Bathtub from "The Shining" ICK! ICK! GAG! HURLP! I would change my alignment to Chaotic Good rather than wed THAT!
Maybe I could wed her, and she could just get caught unprepared in an errant Meteor Swarm (Oh, No!) and I would forever wistfully mourn her tragic end.
Nah, the coals, if you please.
Okay, kiddies--Fight a Rust Monster with the Blackrazor from White Plume Mountain, or fight 50 zombies with a masterwork wooden club?

Yes, Mr. Jeffries is funnier than Dat Phan. Assuming your parents let you watch/listen to Jim Jeffries, you may as well check out Rodney Carrington. That is, unless heavy Southern accents make you flee in horror. Having lived in Virginia all my life (the past several decades all in the same county) and surrounded by voices that exude the twang of banjos and fiddles, I am immune to any such vocal assault. Heck, in my normal speaking voice, I have little or no accent and have been told I sound like I come from Delaware.
Accalia, pardon me for sounding a bit patronizing, but honestly I think there's more appropriate comedic fare out there for you. Have you ever heard of Brian Regan?
No, really--look him up on YouTube.

Topic: Last one to post wins - Part II Subject: Last Comic Standing--First season
As a huge fan of stand-up, I watched the whole first season of that show. I'm still dumbfounded at how Dat Phan won the final showdown. Rich Vos should have taken that show easily. Phan's Comedy Central special (part of the grand prize) was such a snoozefest for me. Yes, we get it--you're Vietnamese, and your parents still haven't quite assimilated into American culture. Miss Margaret Cho beat that horse quite soundly some years back, so please move on!
Who else is funnier than Dat Phan?
Steven Wright. (I used to get his jokes. What happened?)
Dane Cook. (His work has suffered of late.)
Bobby Lee. (Will always be funnier than Dat Phan.)
Tom Green. (Making faux love to a dead moose is still better than Phan.)
Rita Rudner. (Classy and incisive.)
Andy Dick. (He literally facelicked almost the entire panel at William Shatner's roast. If for nothing else (and little else comes to mind.) gotta give him props.)
Carrot Top. ('Roid Rage and all.)
(Edit: This isn't meant to be an exhaustive list, just an illustrative one. Phan is a hack in my opinion and I would pay to see any of the one listed before going to see Phan for free.)
