Most technology, given enough time, needs to be killed with fire. I submit "Terminator 2" as evidence.

I shall just wait patiently and with bated breath.

"Sing us a song, You're the Devil Man,
Sing us a song of Fright.
Well we're all overdue for a malady,
Soon we won't feel oh so right"

(apologies to Mr. Joel)

(Edit: Just so we're clear, the BOL in this case is I hardly ever sing songs of frightful malady. Not at the Inn at least.)

So, James Cameron is making two sequels to Avatar. Why will they suck as much as the Matrix sequels?

Subject: Where in the Realms is Ion Kired??

Greetz Everyone!

Soooo,

Where's Ion?

I miss him and the cute paper umbrellas he puts in my Nine-Layer Shooters.

*slaps table Hard* Alright, Mages get to scrying! Rangers get to tracking! Rogues, go gather that information! Priests, get on the horn with your sundry and various deities. I need answers, conjectures, conspiracy theories, rassafrassit!

Please?

Topic: Home Made Game Stuff
Subject: Homebrew

I borrowed a concept from an old Dragon magazine issue. The article was "Bazaar of the Bizarre," and featured items of uncertain value. The item in question was an Invisible Ring. I tweaked it by cursing it in as much that if the ring were put on and activated, not only would it turn invisible (the ring, not the wearer) it would not come off, thereby robbing an unlucky PC of a ring slot.

Enamored of the cool double-crossbows from the third Underworld movie, I was researching possible rules to include them in my game. Turns out both the Pathfinder Core Rules and at least one 3.5 book already have them. Shucks.

I did house-rule that Dragonbreath is a natural weapon/ability for Dragons or PC's with class features granting breath weapons, and were not subject to magic-suppression effects or, more pointedly, Dwarven +2 racial bonus to saves vs spells _and spell-like effects_. That's what happens when players try to _dictate_ rather than suggest to me how the game works.

Topic: The Game
Subject: Enjoy!

Verily, my perspicacious nature oft progresses adamantly forward into the intoxicating heights of proliferous verbosity! Unbound, unchained, unfettered, unleashed it ascends ever skyward into the dizzying reaches of the ether! Mere words I do transform into scintillating weapons of vorpal wit! Indeed my musings thrust and parry, slice and swathe betwixt the unpropitious chinks of many an opponent's ephemeral armor. Until, at the last, my foe lies repentant at ever having first issued such effrontery at my panache, such aspersion at my jocularity, e'en with gratitude emanating from parch'd lips comes forth "well played, good sir!"

Yeah, I scored rather well on the verbal SAT.

(Edit: Imagine the above as read by Richard Burton!)

Dear Ogre,

Do you find the depiction of your kind in the "Shrek" series of movies to be accurate and exemplary, or inaccurate and offensive?
