Somehow, it's funnier that the whole "Burning Bush" incident happened off screen!

The walking backpack stuff is hilarious! Thanks for the change of pace after the more somber (but excellent) fare with the city golem.

I guess Alacrity's catchphrase in Mythbreakers might be "When in doubt, use Catapults!" I thought at first they were odd-looking spoons. Another sip or two of coffee and understanding finally dawned.

The whipping snow effect was terrific! So was Santa's shocked expression and how protective he looked over his bag o' loot.

"Jolly Red Sleigh, this is Audalis Tower control. Be advised you have traffic inbound from your 3 o' clock low at a high rate of speed. Suggest you rapidly ascend to flight level 150."

Hope Dalana had three slots to spend on the Healing NWP. Rangers in 2ed drew their NWP from Warrior, General and Wizard (????) lists, and so couldn't buy Healing for 2 slots like Clerics could. I know, right? Makes as much sense as Constitution being the primary stat for Concentration Checks.

That shot of Amy in the first panel is, imo, vybeosa's best work in the strip thus far! The redditors who are voting this down are at least doing so quietly if that counts for anything.

Topic: AMC's The Walking Dead
Subject: Infection Vectors

In Ep 2, when Rick and Co. covered head-to-toe before going Lizzie Borden on the walker, they were just using what's called Universal Precautions. This is what First Responders like Rick do in a hazmat situation, and an environment where Zombo-guts are flying definitely qualifies as such. Unbroken skin is usually okay against pathogens, but even a paper cut will let the micro-critters through.

While biting is the most commonly used method of infection in Zombie media, bloodborne infection is something no one can dismiss. The stuff mimics meningitis as Jenner said, so it just hacks its way past the blood/brain barrier that keeps most infections from reaching the brain. Nasty stuff.

I dunno, Dr. Jenner explicitly said he didn't find any surprises in the samples, and he hardly had any time to do further research in the less-than-a-day before the big "blow-up" *smirks*. Others have posited that theory and personally I would find it a bit pat, a little too neat and tidy that one person among this small band of survivors holds the cure.

Oh, yeah, Rick's look after he pulls the grenade pin was priceless!

Dvd releases March 8, 2011 btw. Amazon taking pre-orders now.

Edit: Glad to see they laid it out concerning the differing times it takes bitten humans to reanimate as walkers. Some don't have time to fry an egg while others could log on and raid Onyxia's Lair in Warcraft--if they had a computer and Internet access that is.

Subject: Season Finale

Greetings, Zombo-fanatics!

When you find out the donor of those samples that burned up in "Wildfire," your jaw will hang agape!

I was expecting a two-hour episode, much like any other good series on television (counts on fingers how many actually qualify). I guess this is good news for those of us who download off the Net.

The flashback scene in the very beginning was quite illuminating as to how badly the scat had hit the fan in the early days of the outbreak, when all vestiges of order and society had indeed crumbled beyond repair. In a way it was like the sacking of Rome when the Visigoths crashed their way through the gates of the Eternal City and laid waste to all that was structured, orderly and predictable. The Zombies are our Visigoths and through sheer implacable numbers they rent asunder the body of our humanity.

Pardon a bit of dark humor, but the computer's tone in answering Rick's question gave the distinct impression of an unspoken "Duh!" at the end.

Who knew when Metallica penned "The Thing That Should Not Be," in all honesty THIS cinematic piece of tripe would rear its head and accept the challenge. This is not, and has not been for some time, a good era in which to be a child of the 80's--Hollywood can't wait to leave steaming coils of ICK all over our childhood.

It may be a tedious wall of text (and a double strip on top of that), but it is also the most GENIUS wall of text in the entire history of the strip!

"If I win, I get to be a King. If I lose, I get to be a LEGEND!"--General Tarquin This is probably the single most brilliant line in all of OOTS! It also illustrates why Lawful Evil is THE alignment hands down.

I don't think Elan's eyes could bug out any more than they did at the end!
