Subject: Meri

If you go with her, she will take you far away from the others. So essentially you will be removed from the group and can manage PM for the next few posts.

Everyone else get your posts in!

Oscar looked longingly at the body, lost in thought about death.

The sound of an autophaser charging snapped him out of it. He lifted his head to see the startling sight of a Yellow uniform with a gun aimed at his face.

Crap... your uniform... the cleanliness officer's insignia!

"Well mop boy, this mess aint gonna clean itself," came the silky voice of the stunningly beautiful yellow.

Not only was she a superior, but she was a beautification officer. One of your Direct supervisors.

"Get to work, chump, whatever you were doing can wait."

She motions to Julianna, "You! Get over here, I have some questions to ask about this... Red you seem to intent to hang around with."

Her voice is commanding. Better listen up?

(OOC: Decisions! Skari and Meri have a PM waiting)

I would benefit greatly from a leveled up character. Did I miss the message somehow. I think my strategy might change depending on my new skills available.

I was assuming you had all read the manual at some point beings you've been troubleshooters for a while. If you want to have specifically not read it, then we'll go with that and Meri will have to edit her post, probably to killng you

But Meri, it all depends on the superior. If you are never questioned about it, then you don't have to provide any proof.

You are legally allowed to kill people as Troubleshooters, and legally allowed to kill Infrareds as Reds, but you must be able to back up why if asked by a superior or another troubleshooter. If you can't back it up, then you can be shot for treason. If you are never asked, then you lucked out.

Just to clear up a few things now that we're in full swing.

The "goal" of the game is to root out traitors, including each other.

Remember - you need reasonable proof of treason to execute a fellow Red. So if one of you wants to follow gboy and figure out what he's doing you are welcome to try. But if you find he's advancing the mission is some way then you might be guilty of wasting time yourself.

I rolled a quick roll and Skari's shot went off ok, if not a little dirty. It's up to you how you want to deal with the Infrared's gear, or if you want to leave it to the servobots. There is currently a big mess of corpse blood and guts on the floor. I'll deal with the cleanup next post but Meri has the right idea. You guys can feel free to play on each other's actions without waiting for me. This is free-form and the entire rules section of the Paranoia book is labeled "Optional" after all.

Remember, out of character you know you are all traitors either via mutation or secret society or both. How much in game comes out is another story.

And you were given order to get moving and root out the commie bastards now. It's up to you guys how to interpret those orders. Already I've had two PM's with different interpretations. If you can defend your interpretation and use it as backup for your actions then more power to you.

And don't take it personally if you die. You all will at some point, and in the event you burn all 7 of your lives we'll get you set up with a new character if you want to keep playing.

As Oscar bellowed his commands, the line immediately parts, with a few other Reds and Oranges looking back at you a bit awkwardly. They shrug it off and happily walk to the front of the line through the parted sea of Infrareds.

One Infrared doesn't move. He stands with his mp3 player earbuds in. Maybe he didn't hear you?

I know some of us had a holiday to deal with, but let's still try to shoot for Monday for an update day. Only two posts in so far. If not, no biggie, but I would like to get moving.

One person has decided to break from the group.

Completely Epic.

For those of you who don't know, an American tradition is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Probably 80% of the country watches this (as well as the Christmas day parade). It is sort of the unofficial start to the Christmas season.

I was watching this live and had just stepped outside for a sec to work on the pool with my Grandpa (we live in Florida, it's still hot) and I hear a scream come from the living room.

America just got Rickroll'd

Introductions were made, and plans began to be formed if only preliminary. The crew decided to visit the area after a quick scan of the computer records.

"I told you to root out and destroy the communists, fools! Get to work!" He bellows as a shot rings out from his pistol. It shakes the foundation of the room. This might be a good time to note that none of you have heard what a 45 caliber revolver sounds like when fired in an enclosed space. A large bullet hole can be seen in the roof. Warning shot...

The group quickly exits.

Stewert pulls out his PDA and begins typing. 50 Trillion results... that won't do. Perhaps a more narrow search parameter?

In the meantime, it dawns on you that none of you have ever been to subsector 21. Sadly it's going to be quite the trip. You could try to get ahold of a lift, but the lines are horrible. None of you have walked that far before. It's almost an hour of solid walking to get through!

Decisions, decisions...

Ok, decision time.

T looked about, there was practically a riot brewing, except one with a rotting flesh disease. "Well sir I have my own car here... do you have a safe place to go. People are sick, they are literally eating each other. We got out as fast as we could, with a little bit of protection. They made an announcement over the radio about it.

"Please tell me you know a place to go, neither one of us lives here - we were just passing through."

He wasn't about to go back into the riot. T wasn't a hero - he just filled in for them in the movies. Maybe if it was Jetta or someone he knew things would be different, but any minute now the government would be meeting to talk about things like quarantines, national guards, and other nasty stuff.

They had to find a place to rest and relax.

"Maybe we could follow you somewhere? My car is the red one over there." T said with a casual *over there* wave.

I'm moving forward on Monday. Get your posts in before then if you want to do anything else. Also Grugg.

By the way, the computer database will return somewhere in the area of 45 trillion results if you run a search on that subsector. You might want to narrow down your search. Next person to bring it up in game can feel free to point that out.

How about something along these lines? It might need some tweaking if short titles get long, but just throwing it out there.

When you compare it to the others, it seems like we're trying too hard. It's up to you, but I think we can find a better position out there.

After a few days, I gotta admit, I don't like the positioning. It makes the site feel too busy, too cluttered.

I still think we can afford to lose a T-shirt ad.

You know roughly 70% of the population is Infrared. 10% is Red. 10% is Orange. 5% Yellow, etc.

Alpha Complex's total population is somewhere in the billions. You aren't exactly sure how big it is, or how many people there are. You doubt anyone but Friend Computer knows.
