Topic: Innocence Proves Nothing - Warhammer 40,000 Subject: Onward?
And so it was quiet again.
The horrible beast of the warp was defeated, and an eerie out of place silence once again returned to the deck.
Tazi and Ghustel gathered around the Tech Priest. Several rounds punctured the body of the mutant, killing it off - no it wasn't dead, only stunned. Smart thinking to finish it off.
But the job wasn't quite done, was it? Sure the tech-priest had diagnosed the problem, but he still had to file a report, do the requisitioning paperwork, and probably an hour or so of assembly to get the new security unit ready to operate.
The others also had a bit of clean up... and that mean dealing with Carrigan. Mkoll stood silently over the unconcious Arbeit... the deck's security, waiting for his team to finish up with the Tech-priest. Once all were clear they gathered and decided on the next task at hand. What do they tell their mistress? Do they place blame? Did they even know what happened? (If anyone has warp lore, psyniscience or any other applicable skill PM me, I don't think anyone does). What would they say? Did they miss something?
Everyone on deck, get to my office to report on your findings as soon as possible! We might have a problem... barked the ever curious voice of the Inquisitrix Captain over the loud speaker Arcturious had hacked only a few moments ago. Didn't she have any patience? You had only been dispatched a few minutes ago.
Wait, Everyone? Arcturious quickly detected (as does anyone with a Voxcaster or Auspects) that Carrigan had only issued the order to their deck. She wanted to talk to the six of them. Or at least there were SUPPOSED to be six of them. The guard would need a medic... Better not delay, we all know Carrie's temper is far from long.
(OOC: Sorry for the short post and long delay, but we have a few more things to wrap up here before we start the "real" game )

I was actually planning on updating this tonight. Was going to make it a surprize. Fie on you for ruining it

I ran the 4e adventure from the back of the DMG with my group last week, and I'm running my first homemade adventure tonight. So far everyone likes it, but we'll see how well I can translate my DMing skills to the new system.

"Thank you Brigit, that will be all for the moment." Rufus concluded.
"If you could please ask Ms. Lizzie to join me for a brief interview, we can get everyone else home. Thank you for your time."
He continued to sip away at his tea as he awaited his next appointment.
"By the way, this tea is lovely. Thank you kindly."
*sip*

Rufus gladly accepted some good old fashioned accommodations. It helped him to focus on his work.
"I'm afraid chamomile puts me straight to sleep... I think peppermint will keep me lively though. Thank you ma'am.
"Now, perhaps you noticed something too routine - someone strangely walking by or stopping in at the same time, an object missing for too long, letters arriving, perhaps your work was made easier or more difficult by something or someone."

you can run it since it's two NPCs (that's why I picked them )
then just have him report back. That way you can keep the interrogation private if you want.

Borden House
"Ok everyone..." the Marshall announced as he waded through the crowd of rubberneckers.
"Unless one of you has some information for me, go home, but don't leave town for a week or so."
Rufus greeted his new deputy as he made his way into the house to find a group of people. "Dr. Dolan, please let me know if you find out what killed them."
"Everyone else, I'd like each of you to please tell us everything you know. Ms. Sullivan perhaps you could come with me first, and Mrs. Churchill go with Dep. Fleet."
Rufus heads off into the next room, away from both the crowd of people and Dr. Dolan, expecting Fleet to do the same into a different room.

Topic: D&D 4.0 Discussion Subject: 4e
Well, my group was missing a player last week, so we decided to try a little 4e romp. We basically took some pre-gen characters and just ran a few battles.
I must say I think the system as a whole is much improved over 3.5. Of course if you don't like 3.5, then you'll hate 4e, but as a b09s fan, I must say I'm a fan of 4e so far.
We have yet to take up a full campaign with non-combat situations, so stay tuned for further details.

Topic: The Ballad of Carrigan Øravík, a companion story. Subject: shorty
In this short chapter, we get to see a bit of Rykehuss's sadism, and delve a bit into Carrigan's baptism of fire, so to say.
Enjoy! I didn't want to go too far in this chapter to keep from getting too disturbing, but it needed to be said.
