Topic: Final Fantasy: Crimson Falcons Subject: Satisfied
Yohn waited for the leader of the Falcons to answer Gelion's question (and anyone else's).
"Well, that's good 'nough for me. Let's 'ear what this first gig's all 'bout, and get on with freedom and makin' some gil and representin' and such. I'm itchin' t' get t' work."

Topic: Final Fantasy: Crimson Falcons Subject: Pacing
Hey Shield Wolf,
I was wondering what kind of pacing we are looking at for this game? One post per week? Or more or less?
Also, are you waiting on us for some more interaction before you move the story forward?
Thanks!

Topic: Final Fantasy: Crimson Falcons Subject: My guy
Yohn/ Puff is simply described as 6 ft tall and 280 lbs.
And image of him can be found here:

He's the round one of the bunch with the yellow and brown life jacket on.

Topic: Final Fantasy: Crimson Falcons Subject: Al Bhed's here too
Yohn piped in after Tuman, the large Al Bhed still working at fixing himself a snack. "I'm Yohn. Though, most of me friends call me ‘Puff'. A lil' easier t' say, suppose."
Yohn walks back to the table with a well layered, double high, club house sandwich and a pitcher of milk. Squeezing his 280 lbs frame into one of the chairs proved to be a bit of a feat, but the Al Bhed managed it well enough and didn't spill any milk.
"Lookin' t' put a lil' scratch t'gether, if y'know what I mean," he continued after taking a bite of the sandwich. "Falcons got a fine ‘nough track record, I figure. An' figure the Falcons might take me on t' keep their machinas well oiled an' such. Heard they got themselves a whole mech squad and a few airships t' boot. Lookin' forward to slidin' me creeper under one them boys."
Yohn took a swig from the pitcher of milk and then another bite of the sandwich. "How ‘bout you?" Yohn asked, looking at Simon. "What should we be callin' you?"
OOC: I know "Yohn" looks like it would just be pronounced like "Yawn" or something similar, but the Al Bhed translator has it listed as pronounced like "AEohn-ha". Puff seems slightly easily. Feel free to call him either though... he'll respond to both.

Topic: Final Fantasy: Crimson Falcons Subject: Yes Vesper
You gain an extra hit point OR extra skill rank each time you take a level in your favoured class (including level 1). It is assumed that the class you are planning to play is your favoured class.

Are the hybred classes an option (belt belt, dancer, technomancer, etc)?

Topic: Guaging interest for a new game Subject: Questions
So, I've never played Final Fantasy, but the material on the website you provided looks interesting.
Couple questions:
1) Is the setting Spira? If yes, are we playing in the time frame where machina/technology is considered bad, or afterwards? (before the Eternal Calm/ Sin's demise, or afterwards?)
2) Is the meant to be a long running campaign, with our characters gaining levels and such, or should I plan on just a first level character for the length of the game?
Think that's it for now.
Thanks!

Topic: CWWLLO QnA Subject: Slammed
Hi Alacrity (and friends),
I am slammed with an (unforeseen) at work project. I will likely be out of commission for this week as well.
My apologies. I hope to return sometime next week, though we'll see. I'll keep you posted.

Topic: Talk about The Inn Subject: Abilities
The ability to see posts from other people while you are posting... so you can see other game posts you are trying to respond to.
The ability to roll dice within a game post.
More content on Audalis, and perhaps a forum for fan-fiction and additional content that can be added by inn-members.

Hey Jozan,
Much success with your new start up, and wishing you the wisdom in balancing work and home (I know that's always tricky for me).
If the game does restart, I will likely not rejoin... I always find it hard to get back into character. Feel free to give my space/character to someone else.
Thanks!

Topic: The Gobber King Subject: Ouch! That really hurt, Charlie!
Wembley had been so fascinated by the magic of the orb, his normal near-instant reflexes failed him and the cidal took a hard blow to the shoulder.
"Ouch!" the thief cried out. "That really hurt, you know." He swung the staff-sling around and attempted to knock the head off the damaged iron-man, even as he continued to speak to the attackers. "Look, I don't even know why you're here. We didn't steal anything and the only reason I'm holding on this this orb is because you started attacking my friends. So, why don't you stop! And, go away! And we'll put all the stuff back where we found it. And then we can try again and it will be so great, because you won't have to worry about attacking us and we could have peace with each other. Doesn't that sound like a good idea? ..."

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Again Subject: Haha!
"Yes!" Kadrin cried out lustfully as the hrde if vermin advanced on them. "YES!! No more skulking around!"
Swinging his hammer around to get the blood circulating to the muscles in his arm, the Scarred General prepared himself for the charge.
OOC: Kadrin will stand close with Arien to attack as they ready themselves for the oncoming charge. The Dwarf is also uninterested in catching the fire from Ody's spell.

Topic: The Gobber King Subject: It's just so shiny!
Wembley felt the gas begin to burn his lungs, saw the swashbuckling siggie take a solid slug from the steel cidal-esque creatures. His eyes tried to find something that might help his companions. Seeing his kin move for the staff, Wembley's eyes fell upon the only other interesting thing in the room... the orb.
Leaping from his cabinet perch, the thief brought his staff-cling to bear down on the glass surrounding the orb, before grabbing it.

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Again Subject: Level Field
Kadrin nodded with the Knight. He preferred the upfront, in your face, meet your foe head on approach.
"Something to take away their advantage of dark cover would be helpful. I hate not being able to see the face of my foes when I'm cutting them down."
Kadrin readied his shield and hammer and prepared to charge around the hill.
OOC: Some spells that I think might be really helpful here would be: Invisibility 10ft radius (maybe combined with an Illusion of our party walking out); Continuous Light or Dispel Magic to take down the magical darkness; Haste on us who are rushing maybe; Confusion? and a whole host of damaging or hindering spells (like Cloudkill)
Otherwise, I think the plan of a couple of us rushing around and up the hill while the rest provide "cover fire" or something to soften up the enemy is great!

Topic: CWWLLO QnA Subject: This is one of those moment I want to be around a table
These are the moments in forum-based role-playing games where I wish we were around the table.
The battle before us seems to require some tactical positioning and working together in order to succeed. If we we're around the table, the out of character (and maybe in character) conversation would go something like this:
Kadrin: "We need to be level this battle field, starting with getting rid of that cover of darkness. I hate not being able to see."
Some Cleric: "I shall call on ~~name here~~ to light our way. My lord will give us aid."
Arien: "I think Max, you (Kadrin), and I should rush around and cut the filth down."
Some Mage: "Perhaps I can help give you the element of surprise. A little pinch of diamon dust, and poof, they won't even see you until your blade is in their gizzards."
Arien: "Hrmm... sounds cowardly to me."
Max, nudging the Knight: "Don't worry, brave sir. They might not see you, but they'll still hear you clanking around. Be thankful for the help... might mean one less dent in your shiny armour."
Arien: "Fair enough."
Kadrin: "While the three of us make our way around the hill, anyway the rest of you might thin their numbers? The fireball was great... but I'd rather not have the whole place cave in."
Mage: "Would a cloud of poisonous gas be more suitable to your needs?"
Ranger: "And I'll put an arrow through any that pop their heads out from cover."
Kadrin: "Why are we sitting around then... let's go."
