Subject: Leader of the pack

"What in the..."

The White Blade had suddenly dissappear and Skit was left looking around dumbfounded for a moment.

But it was only a moment. The halfling quickly gathered his wits and changed his focus to leading the freed people to their destination...

...to their destiny... came the thought, which was follow swiftly by Skit's mumbled words, "Or their doom..."

The rogue was becoming less certain about this mission the closer they moved to the warehouse. Would the slaves really be freed? Would they just be bound to new masters? What was this mission really about?

Skit looked over his shoulder at the new enemies approaching. Will we even make it? "Time to stay focused, Skit!" he said to himself as he got to the front of the group. Over his shoulder, he encouraged his "retrieved goods", "We're almost there, folks, let's move quickly! For your freedom!"

Subject: Two posts...

Just waiting on Kaelyn and Steelight. I've seen Steelight around, though not Kaelyn.

I think I'm to blame on this delay, though, as Tobias was the one with information to share, and it took me nearly a week to post. Again... my apologies.

"Son of a..." Tobias muttered under his breath as he noted the skull and bones bandana with new insight.

Suddenly, the ex-knight's eyes darted back to the forest trying to penetrate the foilage, his crossbow at ready. "Son of a..." he cursed again softly. "Friar, stay sharp!" he command his comrade quietly. "There's likely more eyes on us."

Death Dogs, Tobias thought to himself, continuing to keep his eyes on the woods. The thought was troubling indeed, as it meant this mission suddenly got a lot tougher. Though, we've killed four so far. How many could there possibly be in this group? he wondered. And, if it is really the Death Corps, what are they after? And for who?

"Koriss,Grimm," Tobias said to the others. "Either of you capable of dealing with that lock? I think I've discovered who we're up against, and the thought ain't a happy one. These ain't your run of the mill thugs. I think we're dealing with the Death Corp."

OOC: Sorry gang, we're having a natsy bout with the flu this passed week, and know I think I'm catching it too Anyway... here you are.

Even as White Blade disengages, Daleel continues to press the swift warrior, looking to flank the man with Argent or the half-orc.

[OOC: Again, Skit's moving in to attack, trying to attack White Blade from one of his sides, preferably opposite of one of his team mates.

If I've misread, and White Blade is out of melee range, Skit will look to attack him with a tossed dagger.]

Thanks!

I'm looking at one of the following options:

A Psychic (Mental Blast, Teleport, Telekinesis, ESP, and other mind games)

A Super Ninja (Speed, Concealment, Strike, Chi, Deflect, and some cool devices)

An Elemental (Earth or Fire... typical stuff like Blast, Immunities, some Snazzy Movement, and some protection)

An Super Geek (Datalink, Quickness[Mental], Enhanced Intelligence, and GADGETS!)

Hey, I'm interested too, though the time commitment of 6 evening hours, in 3 hour chunks, would be impossible for me. Would you consider running a play by post game here at the Inn, with a high posting rate requirement?

Tobias looked at Koriss as the Raslan spoke, measuring the words of their little scout. The plan seemed a good start, though the strategist in him wondered if there was a way to gain an even better advantage.

"Thank you, Koriss," the ex-templar said with a smirk. "I agree that we need to draw them out, while you look to sneak around their flank."

Looking to the priest, Tobias asked, "Good friar, you got any tricks up your sleeve? Or any favours you can call in from your god?"

OOC: Insert Friar's response...

Pointing out the broken down structures, "I'm thinking it would be a good idea to set someone else up on the high ground. They can rain down some punishment on the rats from on high."

"I'm a pretty good shot, but I don't want to put you in the frontline, friar. Think you might be of use up there?"

OOC: Insert Friar's response...

Looking back at Koriss, Tobias asked, "What kind of surprise do you have in mind for our foes?"

Daleel watched in frustration as his well placed projectile was deflected their foe. "Time to end this," he muttered under his breath.

Moving to manuever himself to the flank of this "White Blade", and drawing his own swords, Skit entered into melee. The little halfling looked to tag-team their foe with the distracting work of the broad dwarf.

[OOC: Two-Weapon Attack with both blades, trying flank/sneak attack White Blade.]

Skit moved in quick, drawing his weapon to engage this new enemy. Need to stop him quick. Need to quiet him quicker. "Don't go, friend. You just got here!"

[OOC: If Skit can close the gap between himself and "White Blade", Skit will move into melee and attack. Not sure if he can make a called shot to the man's throat to try and sever his vocal cords? Maybe it's too hard to reach? Whatever you deem right...

If Skit cannot close into melee, he'll draw his dagger instead and toss the blade at White Blade, again called shot to the throat...

If called shot is not possible, then just a regular two-weapon attack... Thanks!]

Tobias gave the Raslan a nod, "See if you can find us some positions from which we might be able to assault the camp. I think I'd like to soft them up with a few bolts before we move in on a full assault."

As Koriss prepared to leave, the Syln added, "Don't be goin' too far though... and no gettin' caught. I'm in no mood to have t' rescue your hide and save the girl."

Subject: How wide is the alley?

I'm not sure if I missed it in your description, but how wide is the alley? Is there enough space for a number of us to attack ninja-man in melee combat at the same time?
Thanks!

EDIT: A couple more questions...
1) Can someone still try to demoralize a foe, if said foe is engaged in melee combat already?

2) As a free action, is Skit able to see if the two swords that Ninja-man is holding are similiar to the two pieces of metal currently stuck in the sand?

Thanks!

As they approached the remains of the stone wall (likely the edge of the bandit camp), Tobias could feel his adreneline beginning to pump into his blood. He kepted his eyes focused and alert, scanning the topp of the wall and the surrounding area for any guards.

In a low whisper, he communicated with his team, "I'd say this is it, boys. Now, we need to scout out the target, find out how many rats are holed up around here, and try to locate our prize. Korviss, Grimm, suggestions?"

Daleel gave Argent a quick nod, "Alright, l-l-let's go."

The little halfling took the lead, carefully picking his route to the rear of the warehouse for maximum concealment from the guards up front.

[OOC: Skit will be on high alert, looking to make regular perception checks as he goes.]

Skit moved quickly back to his companions. He noted with some anxiety that the number of slaves had thinned out even more during the few minutes of his scouting. Not good! Not good! Time to make a move or there will be noone left to deliver...

Coming up to the dwarf brothers, Daleel reported his findings, "The g-g-guards are wearing the s-s-same ins-s-signias as the ones b-b-back at the w-w-warehouse. L-l-looks like trouble for s-s-sure. There's a w-w-way in through th-th-the back, b-b-but it'll t-t-take a f-f-full half hour t-t-to m-m-make that d-d-delivery."

He looked around at his team. "Either we d-d-distract the g-g-guards away from the d-d-door and m-m-move the people through the fr-fr-front. Maybe one or t-t-two of us sn-sn-snipes at the guards and dr-dr-draws them away, then b-b-backtracks b-b-back to here?

"Or w-w-we tr-tr-try to sneak in th-th-the b-b-back. But w-w-we b-b-best move fast as we're losing our p-p-package r-r-rather quickly.

"Anyone got a b-b-better plan?"

Tobias gave the Raslan a nod and turned to the others, "Good friar, you follow behind me. Gano, you take the rear guard. Let keep our eyes open. These snakes seem cunning enough."

Turning back, the ex-knight moved to follow after the Raslan. "It's be great if we could still see you, Koriss. It surely will make it easier to follow you."

[OOC: Tobias is following after Koriss. He's walking a bit slower in order to stay alert and look for traps/alarms]
