If anyone knows how to get a picture loaded on this site I'd love to hear it.  When we first started this game I was able to load a couple of images using the bytenbit site that Tann told me about.  But now the last several times that I try to use it to generate a link I can embed it just sits there spinning.  Ihave a drawing of the gulley to make things clearer for you guys, but I can't post it!  

My Friend, Silver is level three and a Swasbuckler and has the ability Fancy Footwork so is free from Attacks of Opportunity.

Also as far as the site that created Embed codes yeah it went belly up quite a while ago so my apologies for not letting you know then.

Well, as for the embed site, that is a bummer.  If there is another way to get you images let me know.  I'll look into doing it on D&D Beyond, I just prefer to keep the game here.

As for fancy footwork - this is why you need to keep me on my toes.  Glad the attack didn't hit!  Feel free to include details like this when doing your posts so I don't miss them.  I try to look at character sheets every time, but it is easy to miss.

I think I've gotten us a new player. I'm in a D&D group on Facebook and somebody posted that they were looking for an online campaign so I told him about RDI and gave him the link. He signed up yesterday. He's called Aaron. Hope you'll let him join, Nomad!

Welcome to the group

Welcome to the Red Dragon Inn.  I love play by post and hope you will enjoy our game.  You are certainly welcome to join the game.  You can send me a personal message if you want through the site if you want - it will likely be the easiest way to get thigns set up.  The first question I have is simple - how much 5e experience do you have?  Some folks I can just say "go make a character" and others need a bit more help.  Either is ok.  

The party is third level at the moment - and fighting for their lives.  (Why does everyone always ring the doorbell on every dungeon?  Do they really think the monsters won't respond intelligently?)  I would  suggest reading the first post in the Q&A thread as well as the start of the main game thread.  You are certainly welcome to read them all (Or maybe just my posts since they incorporate much of what the players wrote.) to get caught up but that might be a lot.  But at least check out the first couple to see how we are doing things.  I believe it is the top of the Q&A that will give you some basic game function stuff.  We do have the characters set up on the D&D Beyond site becaue it is an easy place to look them all up, but that isn't strictly necessary.  I can get you a link for our campaign.  

So . . .what type of character do you want to run?

First, do we use optional class features and stuff like that? 2nd, are there any specific limitations on classes, races or books we can use? Is encumberance and/or ammo tracking a thing?
