Welcome!!  Always great to have another player.  A kender should make things interesting.

Apologies

Sorry for posting that OOC post in the game thread. Don't know why I did that. The site isn't working properly for me for some reason. I can post and edit, but it's not letting me delete. So could somebody else delete it for me (if the site lets you)? Cheers!

@Nomad and @Altaria

Nomad and Altaria, can we post now, or is Altaria going to post her post to the group before we post ours?

What is the plan?

Lets get some posts up!

Say hello to the new character and also figure out where you are going next.  That probably needs some planning as well.

So Boris says there's no second entrance into the Vargolg...are we screwed, then? Haha.

We just have to be sneakier.  Maybe kill off the goblins at the pyre first so they can't raise an alarm then the ones guarding the forge

What Boris knows.

dragon-soul  Boris' response to your question would be to repeat what he said before.  There is no other entrance he knows of and he strongly doubts there is another.

I'll post tomorrow morning

Essentially, we need to figure out our path back to the Varlog without alerting the goblins watching the ford so they don't bring the whole placce down on our heads again. One thought is to cross at another area than the ford. Soledad can potentially use Shape Water to carve a path through the river or make a frozen "raft" for use to use to cross. Thoughts?

Apologies

Ok I'm working on a post as I write this for Silver. However was without power off and on this past week so I'm way behind.

Nomad, or anyone, can you post a listing of the current party members and thier current character classes. That would be a big help in greeting the newest players and interacting with them for me. I went looking in the past Q/A posts but I did not find a current listing.

Well look what the cat dragged in HI Altaira!!!  Welcome back to our humble house of Adventure. Very glad your joing the game and look forward to gaming with you

Jim, Tom, if I have not already done so I wish to welcome you both to the Inn. I hope you enjoy it as much as quite a few of us have over the many years we have been here, and I hope you stick around.

Stuff

Hey Tann - Long time.  I’m glad to be back, I might not have been except that darn cat is awfully strong.

While not yet an official member of the party, I like the suggestion of the shallowing water, or the raft or something to get across this river.  I’ve gone back and read most of the encounter, but I probably missed a lot of details.  Also, while my character can swim, she’s short and even a shallow river can be dangerous to the vertically challenged.

Not knowing the previous battle circumstances, she wont be a lot of help planning your renewed assault, though she could probably be of assistance at some point, if given the chance.

I await further introductions, and the plan.

The Party at the Moment

Hornet - Elf Rogue

Thaoran - Elf Eldritch Knight

Silver - 1/2 Elf Rogue Swashbuckler

Dok - Dwarf Cleric

Gerdar - Dwarf Paladin

Soledad - Elf Wizard

Uthal- Goliath Druid

Lily - Kender Rogue

Also, the introduction posts are great, but you also need to decide what you are doing next.

Plans

A heads up on the plan - Since you have already travelled South along the river to get to this point you would know that you did not see anything North of here that is a fordable place in the river.  That means 1/2 day to the bridge, then 1/2 a day to Botkinburg - at least that far and nothing fordable.  The closest crossing without a boat to the north is the bridge.  Boris can confirm this.  He can also confirm that you would have to go even further South to cross the river without a boat.  Sorry, this river isn't made for walking.  Thus the ford was noteworthy.
