Subject: Alexandria.
Alexandria politely declined the items offered again. Her equipment was currently useful to her as it was, and she was not allowed to be greedy. She wouldn't choose anything excessive anyway. It was not her way.
Precious and Flame's return brought a smile to her face, as it always did somehow, but Alexandria found herself lost for words. She still brought her hand up to stroke Precious as she was curled around her neck, but her focus was elsewhere. Her people had died... it didn't matter that it was good drow against evil drow... there wasn't a difference in her mind. All drow knew goodness, it was simply a matter of allowing them the chance to embrace it. And somehow, it did not sound like they had done that. It had just been a killing.
Alexandria solemnly mounted her horse when the others began moving, and urged it forward to follow the others. Her hand kept stroking Precious affectionately, but she was lost for words.

Morasennarion heeds Ninian's words, and bolts toward the little girl who continues to escape. However, there is a great distance between the two, and the girl does not show any signs of slowing down. Regardless, Mora's tenacity and perseverance keep her going, and she continues to run toward the child. Glancing over her shoulder, she sees her parents hiding behind the furniture on the veranda of their house. They were perfectly unharmed, and safe, with no obvious threats to them.
Achilles takes a step back from the shadow, now coming back to his former senses. Shaking his head and steadying himself, he reaches up to his bandolier and grabs a flask of red and orange liquid, and throws it with all his might.
(OoC: Attack Roll: 20 (15 + 5))
The flask of liquid sails through the air, and lands directly on the location where he had aimed it, which made it the exact location which Nino was running through as it landed. The flames burst up and engulf her briefly, leaving a few scorch marks on her, but it does not impede her progress. Achilles then pulls another flask from his bandolier, and tosses it at the shadow in front of him.
(OoC: Attack Roll: 17 (7 + 10))
Achilles tosses yet another flask true, as it sails directly toward the shadow. However, Achilles had forgotten about the Shadow's incorporeality, and the flask sailed right through, causing no harm to anyone.
Trillion invokes the magic that has been invested in her by her celestial blood, and shimmers out of vision as she does so. As she flew, not disturbing the ground with her feet, or with her wingbeats, she was almost entirely undetectable. She pushed herself with all haste toward the little girl, as she was getting too close to the tree line for comfort. These forests were thick, and should she escape... Trillion didn't want to think about that. She just hoped that when she caught the girl, she would pick the right one.
Sonia simply stands there, awaiting a command from Selunine as to what she should do.
However, Selunine has other plans than directing Sonia. Her eyes glowing violet with Fey magic, she begins to weave a vortex of intricate magics the lands from where she hailed were in no means harsh, but the magics that ran through the place often cause weather shifts, and mages had learned to harness the strange power of the cold in order to use it against their enemies. And Selunine was doing just that. Drawing on the moisture in the air, she compacted the water to make raindrops, then chilled them to the core to make icy projectiles. With her final words, the Ice Storm flew toward Nino and her copy, landing between the two and causing havoc:

Nino felt the hurt of the ice as it pelted down on her, and she began to slip and slide unsure of her footing now that there was ice to deal with, if only a little. Looking to her left, her copy was gone - the ice had simply gone straight through it, causing it to disappear. Looking back, she saw her shadow still fighting with the strange man, who must've been the one to throw that liquid fire. Well, she wouldn't be caught off guard by that again. The forest was close now... if she had been able to run full speed, she would've been able to get there... but there were other means to moving such distances. Stumbling through the hail but eventually clearing the storm, she takes out a small ball that had been given to her before the mission. It was labeled "Panic." Well, as good a time as any, and she threw the ball down, disappearing out of view, then re appearing just inside the tree line. With a small giggle, and a little wave, she disappears from view, almost fading into the black of the shadows.

Ninian hissed as she recognized the woman who had approached them. Her eyes flared with an Emerald fire, as she said "So it was YOU! Linus hasn't gotten any new whores for him to use for his own work! He's still kept YOU!" As Ninian talks, glimpses of razor sharp teeth can be seen. The two must have had some past together.

Character Creation
Characters begin at level 1.
Abilities are to be generated using 35 point buy.
Starting gold is ¾ max.
Races: Any 3.5*
Classes: Any 3.5*
Feats: Any 3.5* except Leadership
There are no Psionics or Maneuvers allowed.
Characters may not be Evil in alignment.
One character trait, up to one flaw.
House Rules:
Heal checks can heal hit points.
An initial check of DC 15 is required to locate a wound.
A secondary check of DC 18 will heal the victim HP equal to (HD + Con modifier)
Tumble checks vary in DC.
The DC to tumble through an opponents threatened area:
10 + Opponents Base Attack Bonus.
The DC to tumble through an opponent’s occupied space:
20 + Opponents Base Attack Bonus.
Reputation.
Characters will receive reputation bonuses and penalties, according to Unearthed Arcana.
*For anything that isn’t core, check with the DM first.

"Heh, now you all know me enough to know that I don't usually get all philosophical and such on you... but we're looking at an hourglass here, with the sand coming down on us... but, what's to stop us from turning the hourglass over?"
Xavier pauses briefly, making eye contact with everyone in the room, then continues.
"I mean, this house seems to fade out and in. But, it probably follows a pattern, you know? So, if we miss it this time it fades out... then we'll just wait for the pattern to start again, and go back. If you people need time to equip yourselves, you need the time. The house isn't going to disappear forever... and if it does, all the better. But it'll come back, and we'll be ready then. Of course, I'm ready now... but that's not important. We are a team... so the team needs to be ready."
Xavier stand up and stretches out, contorting his body in many different shapes, and having his bones crack as he did so. Shaking himself out, he says, "So? Are we ready to do this thing, or are we going to sit here discussing?"

Morasennarion advances toward the woman, cautiously holding her weapon forward, ready for anything that might come unexpectedly. She does not trust that the woman is subdued, and is ready to fight to protect her new friend Ninian.
Achilles stands dumbstruck, partly frozen from shock of the shadow separating from its owner, and partly hoping the shadow would leave him alone.
Trillion jumps into the air and takes off toward the girl. Her wings spread majestically, almost resembling the an angel. The wind whipped through her hair as she took off toward the girl, closing the distance with all haste, hoping she could catch the girl before she made it to the trees.
The tattooed woman bows to Selunine, and speaks "Yes master. I shall defend you. You shall have nothing to worry about." With that, she walks toward Selunine, a determined walk to arrive, without delay.
Selunine, satisfied with her work on the tattooed woman, turned her attention to the child. With intricate movements of her hands, she throws magic into the air to go and bind the child.
(DC = 20 (10 + 2(Spell Level) + 7(Int Mod) + 1 (Fey Heritage)
Nino's save: 21)
Selunine watches the quasi real bonds go flying after the girl. They smoothly slip around the girls limbs, and begin to harden, attempting to hold her in place. However, the girl's eyes widen, then close, and Selunine sees the bonds shatter into tiny pieces, and fall to the ground, the girl unaffected.
Nino could feel the bonds forming on her, and decided that something else was necessary. She moved at a slower pace, moving her hands in intricate patterns, and focusing very hard on her hands. Suddenly, a copy appears beside her, moving in the same way. The two split apart, hoping to cause a bit of confusion.
Nino's shadow, seeing Achilles frozen in place, decides to move away, and move closer to Nino, though when she splits, he remains in the middle, not giving away which is which.
Ninian says, "Mora, I will stay back here, away from harm. But don't put yourself in too much danger. You are my second true friend in this world."

Alexandria looks around, attempting to locate both Precious and Flame. However, she is unable to see them from her location. "Lorae, if I knew their exact condition I would tell you... However, they seem to be quite the elusive pair, and are escaping my vision. That they can do that, however, gives me a good indication that they are doing quite well. Precious seemed to be recovering quite well."
At Brianna's mention of good and equipment that they have, Alexandria shrugs slightly. "Much of my equipment is good as it is. I will look at what you have, but I do not expect you to have anything I have dire need of."
However, then something that she had missed before while looking for the two Pseudodragons. "You fought my people? Did you give them the chance for repentance that they deserved? The chance to walk in the light with Eilistraee? Or was it simply a slaughter like how they act because of their blindness?"

"Kid, I'm not going to lie, I might now where you could possibly find some information about that blade. It would require a bit of a travel, but it might be worth it after all. Especially if knowledge is what you're after. I mean, look at this."
Hirokuun takes out his double bladed Naginata, and holds in gingerly. Then, in a swift motion, he stabs it into the ground at a slight angle, so the the other blade faces Calvin. "Feel that."
At Calvin's touch, the blade seems to freeze over, covering the steel in frost, and chilling Calvin to the bone.
Picking his weapon back up, Hirokuun says, "This was given to me by my family... you said your blade burned all others but you, it could be the same build as this Naginata. I must say that it's possible-"
Hirokuun's head whipped around at the sound of a crash outside Calvin's door. He gestured to Calvin to stay quiet, then with one fluid motion, cuts into the door at a height that would sever a man's neck from his shoulders, and then proceeds to rip open the door. Due to the dwarf's size, he was unharmed. "Are you spying on us dwarf? Speak truthfully, or I won't miss this time." Hirokuun knew the truth. He was just making sure his intimidation still worked.

Hirokuun sneaked along behind Calvin as he left campus. He was going to follow the kid home for two reason: learn about this blade, and make sure the kid didn't get himself killed.
When Calvin arrived at home, and didn't find his father, Hirokuun considered making his presence known. However, when the kid began to leave, he didn't want to be found, but presented. And so, slipping into the shadows and sneaking behind him again, Hirokuun tracks the boy back to the school.
After Calvin had settled in his chambers, Hirokuun decided the time was right. He stepped out from a corner, and called in a hushed tone. "Oy, kid. What have you found out about that blade? You've peaked my interest about it... and that's hard to do."

Xavier's eye open up, shining with an inner light. "1500 gold eh? Governor, that sounds like a wonderful reward. Now, I will have to request access to the finest shops, if those are somehow hidden from the public, and I will enjoy myself immensely with the reward. The funds will go toward the excursion of course. I'm not as arrogant as I come off as."
Xavier giggles like a little girl. "I just am a little bit off of my game every now and then, and some comfort helps a lot. My experience will be much better with some comfort. And practicality, of course."
Xavier takes another swig of wine. It must be getting to him. But it was too good to stop.

Xavier jumps slightly at Camille's contact on him, but then relaxes when he realizes who it is. Smiling, he slides his arm up and around his sister's shoulders, giving her a comforting little squeeze. He wasn't going to let his sister get lost again.
The house nearly faded from this world with some of us still inside, it is clearly evident that we should gain whatever knowledge we can before entering the house again."
Xavier turns his head to look Seluumiel in the eyes. "Well, yes, the house nearly devoured us while we were inside. However, is that a bad thing? I know that sounds terrible, but we're obviously going to have to explore... maybe the house is a portal to a different world. Did anyone else find it strange that when we explored, despite all the reports from people, we only discovered Satya, the child, and Lacey only saw one dragon? I think that there should be more. Perhaps they fade in and out of the house... and that's what we should be observing."
He takes his free hand, and grabs his glass of wine. Taking a long swig, he gasps when he finishes it.
"Now, I'm not one for divinations, but I think that the only knowledge we will find will be not as helpful as actually experiencing this. Of course, it could get us killed... but I'm not one for wasting time."

Subject: The stream.
Alexandria walked smoothly with Brianna and Soronuume toward the stream in the early morning. The cool touch that it gave as it tickled her body with its cool embrace was very nice, and refreshing. Alexandria had not done this in a long time, and had almost forgot what natural water felt like as it coursed over the body. The world held many secrets, as she found out. But, she didn't need to know all. Only enough to serve Eilistraee.
When Lorae calls out, Alexandria jumps a bit. She had been so absorbed in the feel of the stream, she had not noticed her approach. The priestess walked out of the water, and began to don her clothing, not being embarrassed with Devon being there.
"Lorae, your kindness is, once again, unbelievable. To bring us food while we're outside... I thank you. What happenings went on in the city? Again, sorry for any trouble which I may have caused with the guard."

Xavier watches as Lacey walks out. He lets the initial shock set in, then after a few seconds, he speaks.
"Well, people turn. Chiron, if what she's talking about is you, go apologize. If not, then whatever. Leaphaven must be saved, whether or not with her help. The world is at risk from deranged cultists who believe in Tiamat."
Xavier took a long swig of the red wine. He let a bit of it slip out his lip so that it could drip down his lip.
"So, governor, give us direction. Should we return to the house, as we originally intended, or is there something else you want us to examine. Either way, I would be happy to repay the debt which I owe you since you saved my sister."
