Topic: The Fall of Our Great Kingdom: Vampiric Tale
Subject: That?

Rocking back then flipping up to his feet, D'Artigo looks down at Miv, and says,

"A little move I learned from a friend. It's a balancer. If I was going to use a knife, you'd have one hell of a gash down your back now."

From his prone position, D'Artigo extended his legs and placed them on either side of Miv's. Applying opposite force, D'Artigo causes Miv's knees to buckle, bringing her down to an equal level.

Subject: Or else what?

"Don't fight you? Or what? You'll get a boo boo?" D'Artigo checked the straps on his mask. Still tight. Good.

"Miv, you asked for a fight, I'm giving you one. The sooner you treat me as an enemy, and not a friend, the sooner you'll find a chance of victory."

"To hell I'm getting off you. This is a fight. You have to get out. There's no free tickets in a fight, and I'm sure as hell not going to fall for 'I'm squishing you.' This is what I mean. I'm teaching you to fight, not to beg for pity."

D'Artigo smoothly rolled after Miv's throw. From his crouched position, D'Artigo leapt into the air, managing to grab one of Miv's shoulders, and twists her down to the ground under him. He braces his arm against her shoulders, pushing down hard.

D'Artigo stops and turns on a copper coin. Already facing Miv again, he lunges out in a similar tactic, though this time he stopped short so as to avoid the same happening. He dropped to a lower level and cracked Miv's knees together. Then he was instantly up on his feet again, waiting on Miv to make the next move.

"Alright. Then get ready girl."

D'Artigo's teeth scraped out again, his eyes narrowing upward. Letting out a small growl, D'Artigo charges forward lunging at Miv reaching out to grapple her.

"You can't be taught to fight, only how to act on your instinct to fight. I've been trying to teach you that, but you haven't acted on it."

D'Artigo returned to his power stance. "So? Do you want to do this or not?"

"Well, to be quite frank, that's what I've been trying to do. However, you just aren't learning the way that I'd thought you would learn."

Alexandria took many deep breaths as she prepared the camp. Most cities she had been to allowed her to peacefully walk the streets without need to peace bond her weapon. Her word had been her oath, stronger than any other promise she could make. Well, some people simply couldn't decide. Oh well.

When they had finished setting up camp, Alexandria looked over Precious who was still in the small makeshift carrying bag. "How are you doing precious? Are you feeling better?"

Yeah, you guys find the same auras.

The two of you, after a long enough time, can discover that the source of the auras to be mostly magical residue.

Nimu, since you stated you're making the Spellcraft and Knowledge (Arcana) checks, you determine that the majority of the Auras are Conjuration (creation), and they are found around some of the wet spots in the field. The others are a mix of transmutation and abjuration.

The large aura near the city however, is also Conjuration (creation). However, it is much more powerful, and feels almost wet. Like, when you look at it, you feel a bit slimy and damp, though it's simply a sensation.

Brianna, your character would discover this as well, if she did the checks.

D'Artigo let out a sigh. "Alright. For now, I'll accept that. But Pale Rose, sooner or later, you have to learn to get over violence. Violence happens. And so, we'll need you to be strong. And willing. Some situation don't allow for softness."

D'Artigo let out a loud sigh, and permitted his fangs to retract, scraping along his porcelain mask. Standing up in a neutral stance, he says,

"Miv, I'm trying to teach you something. You, as proper queen of the realm, are going to have to do things you don't want to do. Life isn't always fair... We can't always get what we want, do what we want, and not do what we don't."

Topic: Diabolic Genesis-Origins of Evil
Subject: Xavier.

Xavier glanced over beside him in the bed. She lay silent beside him, but still breathing. She had made a commitment to him, and he would honour it. However, for the time being, he needed to get back to his acquaintances. They did have a job to do.

Noticing a quill and paper nearby, Xavier gets out of the bed, careful not to disturb the woman who slept beside where he had been. Scribbling a brief note saying that he would be back later. He walked over to where his clothes were, and reached in to his pocket, searching for something to leave so that she would have a memento of him to remember. He didn't have anything though... Except...

He unzipped the lining of his cloak and withdrew one of his many Shuriken. Taking is and stabbing the note to the wall with it, Xavier proceeded to dress himself, then silently stalked out into the night again.

It felt good to be out in the night. And it felt good to be nourished. In fact, he hadn't felt this good for a long time. Now the question was... where was everyone else? Hadn't the governor recommended an inn? Maybe that was a good place to start. Now if only he could remember the name of the bloody place...

_______________________

Xavier will head to the inn that the governor recommended, and if nobody's there, then he will return to the governor's building.

Subject: Meet the Parents.

At the sound of Mora's voice, the dog stands up and lets out a yelp. Running out to greet her, it bounds along playfully, hopping, panting and nuzzling, then proceeding to move towards the others and sniff them, enjoying their new scents.

When Mora runs up to the elderly people, the woman cries out. "Mora! What's the matter dear? You seem so distressed. It truly is a beautiful day, and the birds are chirping. It's wonderful. What do you mean there's something that happened in the city?"

The man looks past Mora briefly, and then asks, "And who are your friends? Come now, introduce us."

As Mora speaks with her parents, Trillion scans the grounds for magical residue. As her eyes glow with a bright light, she looks around the field, and begins sensing some magical auras. However, as time goes on, she also feels that the most powerful aura is simply a faint aura. However, not enough time had elapsed to determine the location of this aura. Glancing back towards the city however, Trillion sees a brilliant glow. Whatever had happened to the city, it had been very powerful magic.

D'Artigo cracked his neck, keeping his eyes on Miv.

"I don't think you could if you wanted to Pale Rose. But I'm up for a good little wrestling match if you are. But if you attack me, I'm not going to go easy on you. You will be another enemy."

D'Artigo smiles underneath his mask, his fangs scraping along the porcelain audibly. His eyes take on a feral view, his blood vessels bulging slightly, and his eyes narrowing.

"I said, bite me. Or are you afraid?"

D'Artigo stops and spreads his feet in a power stance.

"Pale Rose, I'll do as I please to. Don't lie to me, and it won't hurt you. Lie to me, and you might end up getting hurt accidentally. I favour those who tell me the truth."

"You know Pale Rose you really need to know. And if you don't, you can't admit it. You need to be sure of what you are going to say, and when to say it. I will take anything you have to say and store it away. I'm not going to judge you, not going to leave. All I want is for you to tell me the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but. You can lie to others, but not me. Deal?"
