I tried to post... but you need to indicate the players of the game if you want more posts to come!

I was unable to post, I am guessing Admiral was simply because he is a moderator.

I want to post... but make sure that I can!

Subject: Welcome to Combat people!

The men look around confused as to who to charge for. There was their ally, who had just taken out there companion, and there was also the group of three travelers which they were originally hired to hunt down. Looking at each other, they speak in an unknown, guttural language. Giving looks to you and the other man as they speak.

However, interrupting their conversation, an arrow comes and strikes one of the men in the shoulder, penetrating his breastplate. A small grunt comes from his throat, as he looks to the others, and gives a quick nod. Upon his helmet, a plume shakes with his head. Turning to face your group, they lift one foot to try and run towards you. (Eldarwen's shot: 15+4 = 19. HIT, 2+1=3 points of damage.)

As they begin to move towards you however, the grass climbs from the ground, reaching out to them, and snagging their feet. Not ready for this sudden threat, two of the men are caught, the previously injured one with the plume on his helmet, and his closest companion, who had a cape on his back. The third man however, being unladen with other additions, nimbly dodges the grass, and continues to advance, though the earth makes it difficult to move. (Nimu: Save DC = 15. Saves = 15 (PASS), 6 (FAIL), 13(FAIL).

As Pyres boldly charges forth, he is unable to accurately judge the distance and the time it takes him to close the distance. He is now halfway to the man who was not caught in the grass, and should be able to reach the man shortly.

Subject: The Dilemma

A bit of gold, a bit of talk... nothing to much when the Law was involved. And the Law was involved. And it was hunting down Tales.

The inn, which he made a mental note to revisit sometime, was rather run down, and rather sketchy looking. And the patrons were even more sketchy. One job at a time though, so Lloyd took his seat, and ordered the Lentil stew. Pulling out a flask of water, he drinks from that, not trusting those who would be able to poison his drink. Looking at the kinda of people which he needs to appease though, he decides to order a pitcher of the stronger alcohol, and top off the glasses of those suspicious figures. But suspicious figures had the most to tell about other suspicious people. It helped divert attention away from them.

After all the time he spent finding information, he was done. Slightly warmed by the stew, which was hardly worth the 5 shill, he wrapped his cloak around him again, and stepped back out into the cold night, making his way to the gate.

Arriving at the gate, slightly cold, Lloyd pulls his cloak tighter, both making it warmer and getting his hand closer to his rapier should push come to shove. These guards were upholding the law, but also standing in the way of the law. However, what they don't know can't be held against them. But he had to make sure that this man wasn't getting out... Tales would die before he made it out of this city.

"Good sirs, I find it odd how you fine gentlemen may be stuck outside. Please, allow me to explain. My name is Guy. I am a mercenary trying to find a more... stable employment. A friend of mine recommended I try the city guard. He said that the night watch was probably where I'd start, as the new guy. I was coming to see if I could take one night as an unofficial guard, and see if I like it, then talk to the commander, see if I can join." Good thing he had gotten a lot of sleep the previous night... and into the morning. He was going to need to stay awake for the night watch. But Lloyd was going to be here to see this man with a burn across his face. Aiding chaos was being chaos. Chaos must be eliminated. "Is it okay if I stay here with you two, to see if I can handle the city guard? One night is all I ask."

That's the best I could come up with... I hope they buy it... Lloyd thought. He was smiling under his cloak, having mastered the act of interaction. Guy was nobody new to him. He had used that identity many times before. But he was determined to stay the night.

Wouldn't it be shorter if it was dog years, seeing as 7 dog years is one human year?

"If it's not to much trouble for you, I would enjoy an order of the rabbits, with light bread and goat cheese." Alexandria smiles broadly, and gives a slight bow of her head.

Regarding the other persons around the table, Alexandria smiles warmly at them. Turning to Lorae, she asks, "Why did you choose to save me? I agree, it's what I would have done, but I mean, it's in my code. But the dark maiden has chosen me to do such deeds. Has she also chosen you?"

I mean, you do get class abilities for it, but... nothing like the template I had in Spores. Is that what you mean?

Yup, if you're cool with eliminating maneuvers, stances and all that, then this shouldn't be a problem. Sounds great. I will make you the character, and send it to you via PM.

Subject: Because

I very rarely pick anything core... I like the expansions much more.

The shadow sun ninja offers versatility to a monk, such as positive and negative energy touch attacks, the ability to launch a burst of light, a darkness aura... all that in addition to stacking to a monk's own abilities.

Subject: Crucians.

As explained above, they are a slight mix of a human and a turtle.

And fair enough I guess, I will look for something else.

Hmm... 4th level eh? Would you be okay with me taking the Shadow Sun Ninja from Tome of Battle as a Prestige class, only not using maneuvers? It only has one ability which actually requires a maneuver, and I'm sure we could work something out on how to change that. Right?

I will make a human ( it's a core race!!!) monk if you're okay with the above suggestion.

My idea was suggested above, but has changed. It is now a Crucian Monk.

But I'm awaiting conformation if Crucians exist in this world. Let me know, and I'll change it.

Don't worry... no templates, no half air elemental. All clean!

I really want a game to play in, seeing as the Spores is now on a hiatus... if there's room, I'm in for a Crucian Monk.

That is... if Crucians exist in Audalis... if not, it'll be a Sylvari (elven) monk.

Subject: So his name's Tales...

Lloyd smiled underneath his cloak. Tales... the name rang in his head like the bells in the clock tower. So Tales was the one he needed to apprehend.

However, who was the other person who was speaking? This would require looking into. However, one job at a time. And his job was now focused on Tales.

And also... Madius. This traitor's way out. Well, now that we've got that much... let's find out what his involvement in this is... Lloyd tears himself away from the man's house... how insolent he was. He would pay... Oh, how he would pay. However, those who conspired with traitor's were also traitors. And Madius was now marked traitor.

Swiftly, Lloyd walked toward the tavern. Drunk loose lipped people we're sure to have some, if any information about this character. Next he would hit the guardhouse. Any money he had to pay to find out about this man, he would make up with his reward. Two captured traitors were better than one. This rendezvous would happen, but Madius wouldn't be there to save Tales... nobody would be there to save him. But someone would be there. Someone with a burn scar on his face. And the law on his side. He would find this Madius, take care of him, then continue on to Tales.

Subject: If those riders try to arrest me again, I swear...

Alexandria strode into the inn, following Lorae, with a smile painted on her face. Her glistening armour and sword complimented her appearance. The black armour moved with almost no sound, seeming to simply flow along in perfect harmony with her natural movements. Her sword, white like the moon, stood out perfectly, just like the hair flowing down to her waist. Her shield, strapped on her back, bore the image of a moon.

Following Lorae as she approaches the Sergeant, Alexandria continues smiling, though her thoughts turn to pity. A man who is so quick to judge those around him... how empty his life must be of joy. Eilistraee always taught that those who judged would be judged, and those who lived without judging others would dance with the Mistress of the Moon for all of afterlife. Giving a warm smile, no longer as fake, Alexandria says, "Sergeant, I apologize for any wrongs I have committed without being aware of my actions. I am humbled and ask forgiveness." A small bow follows her speech.

After speaking with the Sergeant, she moves towards the table where everyone is gathering. Taking a seat next to Lorae, Alexandria looks around for Flame. Didn't she tell him to go here? she thought. Oh well. She had enjoyed talking to him, and hoped the little guy would show up sometime or other.
