Topic: The Fall of Our Great Kingdom: Vampiric Tale
Subject: Name it.

D'Artigo chuckles. "Lyca, I have ALWAYS seen you as troublesome. Nothing has changed now that you're Lycan. Oh, and I mean that with only the greatest affection... you know that, right?

"You may call yourself what you wish. After all, I do. But a name is a powerful thing Lyca. I changed my name to take up my career as a secret police officer. However... now nobody knows me. I can walk anywhere, and be greeted as a stranger." D'Artigo takes out a flask from within his cloak, opens it, and downs it.

"Do you still think I'm self centered?"

Subject: That's an opinionated question.

"Nice is a matter of opinion dear. Though I will tell you I was more sensitive, as that is fact. A few hundred years of a cruel harsh world, and living with your regrets will harden you up rather quickly. I'm surprised I still know my name. I'm surprised I still care about myself. And most of all, I'm most surprised I haven't run into a pack of Lycans baring my chest and begging them to kill me. The world is a curious place Lyca. It does things to people."

"Human? Lyca, you haven't even seen my face. How can you know what I look like? Also, in regard to having your spine stretched... no, never mind, secrets are best left unknown. But keep this in mind - you got bitten. Most vamps wish they just got bitten. I know I do."

"Our physical form remains almost the same as when we die, however our mental form is completely changed. We now think of blood, and death. Not just that of others, but our own. And of course, we do not forget things easily. We are quite different from when we died."

"We'll see. I know my transformation held some rather unexpected results. New forms are slightly difficult to cope with. Unless Lycans are different than we are. Besides the obvious of course."

"You are my acquaintances. Did you think I was referring to you as my baby?"

"I was saying that in desperate times, which you may find yourself in while around a newborn Vampire... you may take drastic measures. When you are close to death, you may exert self defense and kill the threat. It's only natural."

"Well, I need to call you something, don't I? What a silly question."

"And while I'm aware that you are fairly capable of defending yourself if you were fighting my baby, I must admit that I can be protective of my children. She will live. Don't worry. And I know she can't stay permanently. But she needs guidance. At least for the beginning."

"Yes she's my baby now... oh, now what am I going to call you ex-Angel? I can't call you angel anymore... and you're not a kitten... maybe I shall call you Lyca? Yes. Lyca it shall be."

"As for not willing to take on a wolf, it's quite the opposite. We can tell who is Lycan, and who isn't. Since you are Lycan now, she will feel more inclined to attack you until she learns to cope. One of you could easily die if worst comes to worst. And we don't want that to happen."

Subject: Good. Or bad.

"If she's here, then it means she's not there, which means one of two things. Either the people are still safe, or the people are all dead. However, I doubt that Erina could've cleared out the pub in the time which she's been out of our sight. However... our new baby might not be so tame. She will be confused and hungry." Opening his cloak slightly, D'Artigo reveals a few flasks of blood. "These will help with the hunger, and seeing us with her will make her more comfortable."

"She was actually perfectly willing. She was the one who asked me to engage. I don't do anything near what you have suggested." D'Artigo shrugged. "Now, shall we, Pale Rose?"

D'Artigo watched the Lycans run off. Good. Looking at Miv, a lazy glance in his eye, he replies with a laid back tone, though a bit of a bite can be heard within it.

"My fault? Why didn't I help her? I do believe it had something to do with... what did you four say again? Me being self centered? Me being selfish? Even though I protested, you wouldn't change your mind. Do you believe now that I don't always look out for myself?"

"She's fine by the way. No mortal wounds to speak of. I'm more worried about the village nearby. If Lycan conversion is anything like our own, then she could cause serious damage before she gains control of her instincts. I've never witnessed a Lycan conversion myself, but I know the repercussions of a Vampire spawning. Especially if the sire isn't there to help them."

Gauging the time of day in relation to the sun, he says. "Speaking of which, we better hurry to the village. A vampire should be waking soon... and I don't want to leave her alone to wreak havoc."

D'Artigo stared at the Lycans, purely for effect. They were male, or at least looked it, and therefore weren't on his list of attractive ones. However, Erina, not only losing her wings, but now becoming a Lycan... that was very interesting indeed. After watching her run off, he decided to step forward.

"Good good, very honourable lycans." He applauded them. "You preyed on an innocent girl without any provocation. What crime did she commit? None. Totally innocent. Innocent girls? A new low has been reached among you. Not even I am that bad. I prey on those who break the law, in one way or another." Shaking his head, he permits his fangs to scrape across his mask, slowly and loudly. His eyes turn red to accompany the fangs. "You should go after her if you even have a shred of decency in you. Those who are converted often have a difficult time going through the transitions. Without one of their own, she could go mad, and a bloodfest. I'm slightly peckish as well. You go after her to help her cope. Or I'm going after you to feed."

Almyrikon smiled. Finally - some good action. Hefting his axe off of his shoulder, and bring it in front of him, he stroked his bear tattoo on his chest. Feel the power... feel it run through you...

RRRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! COME PUNY ONES!!! SEE WHAT A REAL FIGHTER CAN DO!!!

The cry echoed along the forest, causing many birds to leave their places in the trees. Almyrikon, now driven by rage alone, ran to meet the one who had so willingly challenged him. Time for fun.

(OOC:Since he took a jump, I'd assume that as the surprise round. Moving with the horse's movement in the surprise round, he should be 50 ft closer than the rest. Since I have 40ft. movement, I think I should reach him. If so, this is a charge.)

You're telling the barbarian to be smart???

...might as well tell the wizard to run in to combat screaming at the top of his lungs with a greataxe... it just doesn't work.

And so they jumped. Right at Erina. He almost felt pity for her. But after the stunt she pulled, he watched her try to fend for herself, also seeing what the others would do. Still, he readied himself in case they were incapable of handling themselves. While they were very painful to be around sometimes, they were still pretty. A redeeming trait, if nothing.

Topic: Favorite Super Hero Movie
Subject: As to Iron man...

While it was true that there was lots of action... not too many fights.

First, he torched a couple of helpless people - okay, not totally helpless, they were shooting at him - people with a flamethrower in the first suit.

He fought Iron Monger for all of 8 minutes or so.

Good plot, good action, lack of fights.

But that's just my two cents.

As my favourite, I will have to say X-men 3. It was quite enjoyable.

D'Artigo sat back in the shadows as the Fallen and the Angel - the odd pair - attempted to bargain with the emerging lycans. Reason with the beasts. Likely they would do it, but amusing to watch nonetheless. Making no move to aid them, he just watched.
