Don't worry, you aren't the last one to hand in the sheet (I'm talking about you Jozan)

And if you get it in soon enough, I'll write you in to the next post.

Subject: Scary?

Fyet blinked. This wasn't exactly what he had been expecting. How best to answer this... "Little one, let me say it how I say it, for you to interpret as you will. Tear is not scary in the sense of the word, however behaviours of certain cats - such as Tear simply appearing there - can seem odd to those unable to perform those acts themselves. For instance... stand back a bit."

Fyet, once sure that he has enough room, closes his eyes, feeling his body creak, and bones extend, and teeth grow. His hair was getting longer too. He was constantly growing, until he had reached a size where Shard could sit on his head and still have plenty of room. Breathing deeper than before, he opened his eyes. In the place of the one, medium sized cat which had been there before, there was now a saber toothed tiger, long thought to be extinct. Clearing his throat, Fyet speaks again, though this time, his voice is deeper, and different sounding, due to the long teeth protruding from his mouth.

"You ssshee little one, no' all thingsssh are ssshcary if you know wha' they rearry are. I am sshtill Fyet, jus' in a differen' form. Now, one ssshhecond."

Fyet repeats the process, though in reverse, returning to his normal cat body. "So I don't think that tear is scary. I merely think she has a respectable power, which I am glad is on our side. Do you understand what I am trying to say?"

Meet up maybe? While covering more ground is good, Four eyes... pardon, five eyes if we're referring to me... are better than two. Send me location if it pleases you.

Pleasant day,
Markus.

"Man... you think the city folk would make their buildings bigger..." Almyrikon was having trouble not knocking anything over. Oh well... he tried to think of what he needed. He could hunt for food effectively enough. But what about... and maybe that... the shopkeepers were annoying enough, and didn't help his mood either. But he found what he wanted, and met back up with Velina. "You done? The others might think we gave up. The Bearspaw does not give up. And something tells me you don't either."

Yes, you come to this tavern as much as any other tavern. It's a good local tavern.

"I know what gold is, don't worry about that." Grabbing the pouch and looking inside, he counts the money. "Alright, that's enough for me, I guess. This place better have good shops seeing how large the city is." Stuffing the gold with his other gold which he had, making sure that nobody had taken any, he turned to Velina. "Ready to go, smart one?" He asked, with half a smile on his face.

Subject: I had fun with that one...

Well, my post is up. Yes, sadly, it did involve some significant copying and pasting, but there are also some changes within those copy and pastes. I tried to simulate what it would be like, trying to record things told orally.

Oh, Reralae and Kilmorrigan I don't know for sure if what I said about your characters, the talking fast and the accent. They were just small excuses to screw with the stories as I wrote them down. I did my best... but it's hard, you know?

Topic: A Local Legend - An Audalis Short Adventure
Subject: And the pen flies across the paper.

Brother Perrin was having a slightly difficult time keeping this up. These people didn't know how to take breaks to make sure that everything had been properly recorded. But still, he was keeping up, with only a few small mistakes.

The story of Ocyari, as recorded by Brother Perrin

By the gods she spoke fast... this was going to be hard...

...The story of the ten year old cookie thief.

As you might have guessed, I am referring to myself when I was ten years old. I grew up in an orphanage, and was fairly known as an adept cookie. However, one day, the orphanage was a crime...

...When we caught up to the others, they had just finished an encounter with a hostile sea, which left one of them conscious for an explainable reason. Of course, me being quiet, hyperactive and young at the time, had little idea what had happened, and rushed over to see myself...

Grr... he thought to himself as he tried to keep up. She talked too fast... she obviously hadn't changed from being hyperactive... but quiet? Wait, maybe he had that wrong... too late, she was done, and the next one was starting already. This was a hard job...

The story of Thumpa, as recorded by Brother Perrin

Oh her accent! It was incredibly hard to understand her, and Perrin knew that this was going to go wrong... but he needed to just be polite and do his best.

She Who Burned Me didn't want me, and I never knew her. Probably never will. The Unwanted One who found and raised me did so at the expanse of her own safely. I never knew reason, but it is enough that it is because of the Unwanted One that i am. She encouraged me to whatever I wish, praising the failures as the successes, for in boats lay the learning of life's lessons. By working a meanie task for one who knew of the hardships I would face, she provided me with a sake and stable place to learn, to grow, and to become whatever I plead..."

Oh no. This was going worse than he thought. He never noticed how fast people spoke until this... the elder monks were going to kill him for this... And before he knew it, the next person was speaking. Hurry, get a new piece of paper out...

The story of Kay, as recorded by Brother Perrin

Finally someone without a strong accent, and who didn't talk a league a minute. However, the thoughts of not accurately recording the other two had gotten to him as he wrote this... here we go again...

I was with some other friends before these ladies said I join them. There were nine of us before. We ran across a guy who was boss bunch of other guys around to beat on us so he could use magic. This bad-guy-boss-man killed a lot of friends and hurt me and two my other friends pretty bad. My two good buddies finally mad the bad-guy run away, and they carried me out and to temple to get healed. When I healed, the people at the temple said I couldn't any more. My buddies had left some money for me to pay the holy people, so I paid them and took the rest of the money left. My buddies who carried me were Markan Redcoat and Skratch Juner. When they left me the temple, they said they were going after bad guy. I wonder if they ever got him. I'd like to see them again to find out they made out...

Definitely not his best job. Grateful for the short lapse in between people speaking. Looking over his work, it was all he could do to keep from sighing out loud. This made no sense!!! Oh well. He could only try harder for the next few people who were ready to speak.

"Okay, who's next to tell their fine tale? When you speak, I shall commence writing."

Almyrikon looks at Velina as she speaks to him, the simplified version of what she says. So, she wanted to play eh? He couldn't tell if she was insulting him, or simply being what city people called "polite". Oh well. He understood. "Fine. I can wait. Maybe. I'm not staying alone though. And since you decided to be so nice, I'm going to follow you until we leave." If she was making fun of him, she was going to pay for it now. If she wasn't... then who knows? At least he wasn't going to be waiting alone. And it was probably better for the whole building and its inhabitants that he wasn't. He could get somewhat... bored when he was alone. And when he got bored, he did what he always thought was the most fun...

In the words of Velina, Smash.

Subject: History time! (WARNING: Learning Involved)

Alright, human history has documented the war between dragons and men. This being known, the past existence dragons is well known. So every single person, no matter who it is, is gonna know about dragons.

You on the other hand, are not a dragon. So therefore, people aren't going to see you walking down the street and go, "Look, it's Gnurk, the dragon student!" It's just not gonna happen.

History does tell stories of people learning the dragons secrets however, and even breeding with them. The two races DID used to get along. But exact knowledge is all but unheard of, and the breeding this is now rather difficult to find. Only a few families have dragon blood in them, and even fewer have both parents half-dragon.

Does this answer your question? So yeah, dragon knowledge isn't slim at all, but knowledge of you? That'd be slim.

Subject: Fyet returns... with a new hat.

Fyet finishes eating his deer. Mmm... it always tasted good when he was in tiger form. Oh well, time to meet the others. And perhaps not like this... they might attack him. And three to one wasn't good odds... though he probably could take them if he truly tried, he wasn't willing to hurt such good people. But he wasn't about to leave empty handed...

...

A small rustling in the bush signaled Fyet's return, though it was slightly different than expected. In marched the orange cat, completely casual, but with the set of deer antlers on his head. Looking around at the others, he tilts his head to the side, and says:

"I trust the hunt went well for everyone? Everyone is satisfied... wait, where'd the other one of you go?"
