Topic: Diabolic Genesis-Origins of Evil Q&A
Subject: Haha, yeah, I noticed that too...

Tiamat didn't have a sheet for her, so he just copied and pasted the sheets... I sent him a legit sheet now, so he'll be able to put the right one up.

+1 for the good humor though.

Subject: IB exams...

IB stands for International Baccalaureate. Basically what they are is tests that are similar to high school diplomas, but you can get recognition anywhere in the world for them, as it's an international curriculum. I had to write those on top of having normal school.

Number 1: I have IB exams now... I finish tomorrow, which'll free me up.

Number 2: I saw Tiamat's post and thought it was clear... But sorry for miscommunication.

Number 3: post is up.

Xavier crossed, and called out that it was okay to cross the bridge, probably safe for multiple people too. However, as he stood on the other side, it seemed like the others weren't even going to come. Maybe they didn't hear him... Silly other people.

"I said HEEEEEEYYY!!! IT'S OKAY TO CROSS!!!"

Subject: Wow...

I must say this is fantastic. I'm loving the new art... it seems more realistic, and more advanced. This isn't to say the cartoon-y look was bad, but I'm putting my vote (appropriate, since He Has My Vote is the name of the strip) on the new art! Fantastic work, and keep it going!

Excited! You totally picked the most cliffhanger of a spot to leave us off too... it's like watching a movie and having the tape cut off right as the hero's hanging from a ledge... You know he's going to make it, but HOW?!?!? AND THEN WHAT?!?!?!

These questions must be answered.

Subject: Oh sure, send the rogue... How cliche.

Xavier arrived at a rickety rope bridge before any of the others did. Oh dear, a rickety bridge, why did these things always happen to him? He didn't want to go first, but then Chiron called out,

"Xavier, I need you to make sure this bridge is safe. You seem to be the lightest of your feet and most likely to notice and avoid any rotted planks. Please hurry. And be careful!"

Of course... send the little guy, who just got caught with a bit of blood on his lip. Chiron was probably just being pre-emptive, putting Xavier in a position that would compromise him, and kill him likely. The paladin was probably too annoyed by him. Xavier was about to protest, but he saw the lava flowing behind the others, and decided he needed to save his neck... and of course, Camille would be okay by herself. She always was.

Xavier turned to the rope bridge and began to stride across it, hoping desperately that it didn't break.

Subject: OH MY GOD IT'S FIRE!

Xavier, after emerging from the world felt energized. That sip of blood was delicious, and at the moment, nobody thought that he had drank the blood, simply that he bit his lip hard, and that it was bleeding. The blood did have a bit of an old, stuffy taste, but that was acceptable. It livened Xavier up so much, he just couldn't resist doing a bit of a tumble and a backflip right as he got out of the portal.

(OoC: Tumble 26)

Landing on his feet and smiling, Xavier looks around him, taking everything in when the ground started to shake. His mirth immediately transforming to panic, Xavier decided to forgo the words and run. Lava wasn't really his thing... He was much more of a cold kinda guy.

Running off looking awkward, but quite efficiently, Xavier ran down the hill, looking for something to hide under while the lava flowed, granting him sanctuary from the flowing lava.

Subject: Oh crap, that didn't work well...

Baldorf smacked himself in the face, which had turned bright red from embarrassment. Why does it always seem to come from me? There was now a cloud of mist everywhere, blocking his vision... Just a huge mushroom seeming to loom in the distance. Well, this sounded like it was going to be fun...

Baldorf figured that he at least better not go in unarmed... He reached back to his belt and pulled out his dagger. He still wasn't entirely sure what was happening around him, or anything that was happening, but he'd come too far to die now... especially without even one braid in his beard. He needed to get that. So he couldn't die here.

He also decided that it would be best to remain silent, and wait for anything to come to him instead of blindly venturing. He gripped his dagger tightly, waiting for someone to come into sight so that he may see who it is, and if they are threatening, lash out at them.

Subject: Oh crap...

Scratching his bottom, Baldorf shook his head. He still didn't know how he was alive... Magics weren't his thing, but it would seem like he did receive magical aid. And it saved his life.

But then the ground started shaking. "Oh crap... Saved my life for now, that is..." Baldorf was scared to look behind him. But as the earth shook violently. Things were not looking good...

But just when Baldorf thought nothing could get worse... They did. He turned and looked behind him, only to see the massive insect behind him. He felt like he wanted to vomit. And it seemed like a very likely that if this was coming down to it, Baldorf would be torn asunder.

"Gotta run! Run away, hide, if only there was something to hide me... But nothing anywhere! If only there was something... Oh, I'm a goner..."

Baldorf began to stumble away from the massive threat, but as he did, a cloud seemed to be forming around him... his vision was disappearing, and quickly. A cloud of mist seemed to be coming from him, but he didn't get why... Strange things were happening today... He just hoped this wasn't his last.

Xavier was only half paying attention as he usually did. His mind was acting up for his bloodlust again, and with his acquaintances still not aware of his split ancestry, he thought it best not to just crack a flask right there. He probably should move a bit in secret... however there was not much secret to be had in this room.

"Hmm... Apples... Really red y'know? I don't like the green ones... they're not red enough... And blood oranges... So tasty..." Xavier mutters to himself. He didn't know what it was, but whenever he suffered from blood deprivation, his mind always turned toward fruit... Something that had happened since his childhood. His sister had always seemed to talk about dragons whenever she was deprived. But his ramblings were of fruit.

Trying to snap back, he coughs, and says in a louder voice, "I'm uh... gonna take some close looks at this room... see if there's anything here... Something we missed. The first time, you know? When we just, rushed through?"

Xavier moved towards a corner his back to the party. When he head Selummiel introducing him, he turned and said "Hi!" paying no attention to who she was talking to... He instead reached into the folds of his cloak and pulled out a flask that he had bought at the butcher shop before they left... a lovely flask full of blood. Un corking it carefully, he gulps it down. The bitter taste wasn't as appealing as a human's, but it was enough... And it was all he was having for a while.

Turning back to the group, he walks up to them and says, "Okay, nothing too major that I can see. So what's up?"

That's when he felt a dribble on his chin. Putting his fingers up to it, then pulling them back down, he saw a red liquid on his hands. There was blood on his chin. And nowhere to hide it.

Subject: In regards to YeOlde's post.

Irael calmly walked into the tavern with the rest of his party, looking around immediately for possible exits, entrances, possible strong opponents and anything else that catches his eye. He was trained to look, evaluate, then respond. Walking in to the tavern however, nothing seemed incredibly suspicious, and so his hand was content to simply hold the sword handle at his side, and not draw it out.

Walking in though he did not let his guard down. His magical training had allowed him to become very attuned to simple magics, and they flowed easily through him. Irael decided that it was an acceptable time to see whether or not there were many magical auras around. From the back of his mind, he effortlessly calls out a Detect Magic spell, allowing his vision to pass that of a normal humanoid's, and see magical auras which may be present. One could never be too sure about their surroundings, and when they let their guard down, that was when they would be struck. He kept casually glancing around the room so that he would be able to look at everything to notice the auras present.

The food, on the other hand, we welcome. Irael did not care much for the stale rations a normal day would bring when they were traveling. As he ate however, something piqued his interest that he had been contemplating.

"The barkeep said that there was a wind that blew through from the east... But he didn't mention what problems it brought, simply that it disturbed much of the town... What knowledge do we have of this wind? Why was it so different than any normal wind?" Irael must have missed this important piece of information if it had been discussed before... but he would not miss it again.

Irael watched as everyone moved about their business, their leader going off with another member, one of them communicating with his familiar, which he constantly did, another actually doing practical business... Such was their group. Such were the people he loved as brothers and sisters.

But they didn't know who he was. How could they, he didn't even know. All he could see was faint images... A flute here, a lock of golden hair there... He just couldn't piece it all together.

Irael then pulled out a small medallion. It was the only thing that he had when he awoke that one fateful night in the forest. It seemed simple in make, but there was something about it that called to him... It had a small drawing on it, a half sun with a sword through the middle. He had no idea what it meant, or who it belonged to, but he always kept it on a golden chain that he had got for very cheap in the Sylvari village where he grew up. He would keep it for a long time... and hopefully find out what it meant.

Turning to Danamar, Irael asked, "Orders, Sir?"

Baldorf knew as soon as he was back in physical form, it wasn't a good thing... He fell, holding the limp Khord in his hands. Maybe, just maybe, he could put the body underneath him, to cushion the blow or something...

Suddenly though, he felt the Khord snatched from his grasp, and there was a massive hippogriff holding the body. Baldorf reached out, but missed, and kept falling. Too quickly.

"Figures... I come up with an idea to save my skin, and then some magical creature takes it away... Why me... why is it always me?"

Baldorf continued to plummet to the ground, seeing the ground come closer and closer...

"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Over his own screaming, he heard Crellin say something. Not that it mattered, it probably didn't regard him. Suddenly though, Baldorf stopped falling, then fell down softly, and surely. Coming to rest on the boulder, he sat there, dumbfounded as to what happened, but nevertheless happy.

"... Um, what just happened?"

Subject: Irael ... what's my last name?

Irael thought that by joining the MV 6 he'd get his knowledge back... Well, it was slow going, if he was ever going to get it back. He didn't know what had happened in his past, or what would happen in his future. So he stayed with the group, and continued practicing his art of mixing swords and sorcery. It was what he knew after his memory was existent.

But when a knocking came on the door to ask for Irael to go to investigate a strange occurrence, Irael leapt up and grabbed his sword, and jumped into line, following the soldier to the guild.

Irael didn't say much as he noticed everyone else come in. They knew he was a solitary one anyway... Things got awkward when they began talking about their pasts, and he knew nothing. He acknowledged each with a nod and he waited patiently to be admitted into the room.

~~~
During the briefing, Irael remained silent, fingering his sword, and touching his reserve of arcane power in his mind. He made sure he could still do it, and made sure his sword was still there, because they were what was necessary to make him an effective force. And he wasn't about to let their group down.
When everyone else had voiced their opinions, Irael spoke in a calming, soothing tone that had a strange accent.
"No questions from me. We'll go in, do what we do, and get back. Unless something goes wrong. Which it won't."
Observing the toss of the coin pouch, Irael does a mental check of what he has. He believes everything to be in order.
"I'm all in order."
Subject: Alright, a little bit of a history lesson...
But it is a very LITTLE bit... Though it'll be fun to see how this plays out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Irael awoke in the wild elven lands, not knowing where he was. As he sat up, he felt a throbbing pain in his head, though he had no idea why he would feel it. Looking at his body, he realized he had been stripped of everything he owned, and was lost. Not daring to give up, he got up and wandered aimlessly, searching for someone whom he could ask what happened.

A day later, he was found by a patrol team, and brought to the village. He rested in the infirmary until he was capable, and then began to ask around what had happened. Nobody knew why he was there, or how. Simply that Irael now was part of their village. Irael attended the school of elven swords and sorcery to be able to prepare himself for when he was to be in a dangerous situation again, so that he would not be harmed. Being with his kin, he learned the way of mixing the sword and magic in combat. Irael excelled at this, and became the top of his class. However, his desire for knowledge of who he had been before he awoke that one day puzzled him to no end, and so he left the Syl village and went off questing for the answers.

You will find it if you go onto google and search "heroforge" though. It's very useful.
