I read quite a bit. I just don't fall in love with a fictional character.

"Alright. Let's go. We'll be back, but I don't know how soon. Not only could it take a while to find her, it may take some time to fight off the bloodlust. But we'll be back, don't worry."

Walking into the village, still breathing heavy, D'Artigo whispered to Miv. "Look, just follow my lead okay? These people are so helpful when you're in distress..." Then, in a raspy tone of someone who has traveled too far, D'Artigo called out, addressing all of the civilians,

"Our daughter!!! Please, somebody, help!!! We've lost our daughter, and we have no idea where she could have gone! We lost her three weeks ago, and we fear she's dead! Somebody, help us!"

Hearing the cry, a member of the city guard walks up, eyes wide with shock. "Ma'am, is this true? Can you describe her to me miss, we'll see if she's here."

D'Artigo hung onto Miv, sobbing for effect. The guards. So stupid.

Hmm... This man seemed like a trustworthy fellow, and he seemed like he was telling the truth... And he was hoping for a good story. Oh well.

"Thank you innkeeper. I am glad to know that I am safe. However... I still don't think joking about that topic is the wisest thing to do. Some people won't believe that it's a joke. And they'll go gallivanting off... probably get themselves killed.

"A joke sir? I find a joke such as that quite astounding. You're sure that there's nothing to interesting about this location being haunted?"

(OOC: This is a sense motive on what he just said. I don't believe him at all.)

Topic: The Fall of Our Great Kingdom: Vampiric Tale
Subject: Hmm... complicating.

"Well, the citizens are bound to know it was a vampire by now... and our pale skin gives us away... here, hold still. And try not to think of this the wrong way." D'Artigo reached out and grabbed Miv's face. Closing his eyes and breathing deeply, he begins moving the simple disguise through his fingers, and onto Miv. Whispering softly and tenderly, though making no sense - the way his magic always worked - D'Artigo's breathing became shallower, and sweat dripped from under his mask. As he finished talking, he opened his eyes, looking at Miv.

No longer was her face pale, as was the trademark for the vampires. Now, it held a slight bronze colour. He hadn't changed her hair, he didn't need to. But now she would be able to walk unassumingly in human lands.

"Okay." D'Artigo said, panting. Magic really made him tired. Letting go of Miv, he continued "that should be good for now. If you have anything else to say to them, do so now. My magic doesn't last long, so we may need to hurry. You ready to go?"

I am also indeed not grown up... but you knew that, right?

And I haven't read the book, so it might not be that I hate the book... I just hate how so many people are falling in love with a fictional character.

Well, one that isn't MacGyver, that is.

What is up with her? I see four possibilities:

1. She's an evil child.

2. Her parents are evil (I'm talking about YOU t_catt11)

3. The space time continuum has been breached and somehow, it's not that she got grounded again, it's that she's actually been sucked back to the time when she was grounded, and her parents are unaware that it's actually past that time, so they won't let her on the compy.

4. All of the above.

...
...
...

My bet's on three... stupid time fairies.

"Keep telling yourself that Pale Rose. We are similar, if only in species, not personality. Come, let's go. Oh, you might want to keep your face slightly obscured, do you have any way of doing that?"

D'Artigo took a few seconds to respond. This was maybe the first time... maybe the second, he wasn't sure... but it was very rare that Kitten talked to him. Regaining his composure, and grateful he had his mask on, he mused over the thought.

"Look, Kitten, as much as I appreciate the offer, I think it would still be best if I went and fetched her. And I also think it's best in anyone comes with me, it should be Pale Rose. There's something about a sense of family that comes with being met by your own species, don't you agree?"

Lloyd saw who he was looking for. Madius. The one who was helping the assassin. It was so close. Five thousand royals... right in front of him. He figured he had befriended the guards enough over night, sharing his stories of how he had fought in large wars, and served kings and queen's all over the world. They were quite the nice people. Maybe... friends helped friends out, right?

"Hey, guys, listen to this." Lloyd says, a hushed voice so only the guards can hear. He points out Madius, though subtly enough that only those who were paying attention could catch who he was pointing at. "You see that guy there? He's giving me a bad feeling. Working under queens and kings and the like, you get a kinda sense for who's good and who isn't. And he's giving me a not good feel. Like he's trying to do a smuggling operation or something. I think he's doing something illegal. Maybe we should pull a 'surprise check' on his wagon as he comes out eh? Say it's with the city's law, just to be sure." Lloyd, following suit with Madius, looked out over the crowd, looking for someone that might be drawn to Madius. The assassin was coming by here this morning - he learned that much from his little stakeout. The question was... how soon. And who was this mysterious Tales? It didn't matter though to Lloyd. Justice wasn't exclusive.

Yes, Dragonblood, you would sense evil.

And suspicious of a little boy? Man... what GMs did you have in your past? My GMs only taught me to be afraid of mice in french army uniform's wielding a sewing needle.

Also... JJ and Brianna, I'm gonna need posts from you if you want to move on.

Brianna, you can also tell Lekain you just want to see everything. That would take you right until nightfall.

Well, Perrin had sure done it this time. Almost cringing under the abbots gaze, he simply nodded at his suggestion to go with this group, saying "If that is what you wish father."

On the inside however, he was frantic. The outside world? He'd just escaped from there. He was almost hoping that the group wouldn't accept him. But then, one by one, they did. "Um, to answer your question... Kay, was it? I am an average combatant, I have done some simple training in the art. Also, I am rather knowledgeable, from hearing stories all the time, and am a good watchmen. Sadly... I can't cook, no."

...
...
...

After the days went by, Perrin wished he was still at the monastery. But still, it was good not to have to write under the monks' watchful gaze. He was new to the writing, and he found it rather difficult to keep pace. Oh well, it wasn't too tough of a life.

At the innkeeper's question, Perrin merely shrugged. "Sir, this group has taken me in, and I am to record their tale for future generations. Now what is this about a haunted coastline? It could make for quite the tale..."

Well, with all the huzz and buzz of my other games, and my real life stressed out life, I had forgotten about this. I had the intention to post right away after I saw the update. I will do that now.

Edit: I put my post up. Sorry about the delay. I should be more free now.

"No guarantees darling. If she tries to hurt my baby, then I have no choice but to step in and protect my child. As long as Lyca behaves herself, then I do the same. That sounds fair, doesn't it?"

"Lyca I'm going to hurt people. Don't worry about that. It just matters who I hurt, and how much."

Approaching the village, D'Artigo motions for Miv to follow him, while saying "Look, to start, I think we should just have my baby see other vampires, at least until we can turn her away from blood lust. That is when she'll be most aggressive. After that, we'll bring her over here, to keep her away from those less capable of protecting themselves. After that, she'll be fine here. Sound like a plan?"

One I included in my game post, about the added benefits of rage.

Also, one's just a clarification. Thrown weapons can go out to five increments, and bows (crossbows, longbows, shortbows, the like) can go out to ten range increments, with each increment giving a stacking -2 penalty.

And I don't like your dice Wyrm. A crit miss with my first roll? Grr...

Though I am having fun, and it looks to be a great game.

Oh, I guess that's more than to things.. oh well.

Screaming loud, as though to ward off the pain, Almyrikon swings again at the rider. No puny man was going to swing at him and live to tell about it. Especially no common thiefs.

(OOC: Thanks for updating HP. And I also get a +2 on attack and damage rolls. Just making sure.)
