"So how did you assume control over this group of people? Not many Lycans will take orders from a Vampire willingly. Mental Control? Torture? Hostages? How'd you do it?"

"Pale Rose, think carefully of what you just said. You were one of the most ragtag groups I've seen. You had a Fallen Angel, a Lycan, a Vampire, and an Angel. Together. That's interesting enough. Learning about you and how you acted was an added bonus."

D'Artigo shrugs. "Well, I don't know really. Mostly the fact that you wanted me to leave. I don't usually take orders from anyone, and for the most part enjoy doing the opposite. But I don't think I can say that's the sole reason. I found your group quite the appealing one... let's say that."

"That sounds like a brilliant plan milady. And don't worry. My lips are sealed about your condition. I do have some morals." D'Artigo chuckles. "Keep in mind, I said SOME."

"You're a leader Miv. You have to decide what will be good for the people, now. And the people need someone to look forward. You have to think of one thing that can be good for both you and those around you. And you need to be decisive. Hunt down the enemy? Fine. Look for survivors? Also good. But your choice needs to be yours, and yours alone. I may seem like a nuisance, but I'm doing my job. It's time to do yours."

After a short pause, D'Artigo adds an extravagant bow and says, "Milady."

Lloyd rose, reached out his hand and accepted the document which Jarom Strongblade held out for him. He took a quick minute to glance at it, get a general idea of what it looked like, then tucked that away inside his cloak.

"My king, I understand what you say. I will do my best to keep my composure and serve you to my fullest potential."

When the king informed him that they had no leads, Lloyd smiled and chuckled softly. "Your highness, you are talking to a bounty hunter here. I often receive no leads. My job is my own, and finding leads is part of my job. No... not job. Part of my life."

"Your highness, today was the first time that I have lost my mark. This is no longer just another job for me... this is quite personal. The fact that Madius has committed such a crime as the murder of Count Urolin merely makes it a better justified hunt. Rest easy your highness. I shall bring this man to you. Only two questions need to be answered, and I will be on my way:

Accomplices as well, or just the murderer?

Dead or Alive?"

(OOC: After receiving responses, I will continue)

"I see. Your highness, I take my leave of your court a humbled man. May his kingship live long and may this city be prosperous. You shall have the man."

Lloyd bowed respectfully and elegantly again, and turned to leave the castle. If he was going to go on a long journey, he needed to speak with Cynthia before he left. She wouldn't forgive him if he didn't.

Wow guys. Thanks for putting up with my delay. The game post is now up.

For the RP posts, I will now post more often... in an attempt to make up for my short absence.

Group 1: You guys are coming out of the forest into a small clearing where you see this house.

Yes DM, they are Mora's parents and her pet dog.

Kandar: You are in a totally closed room. But there's a mini forest in it. There are five black arrows on the ground before you.

Any other questions, I'm more than willing to answer.

Badon

Morasennarion led the way towards her home, with Selunine, Trillion, Achilles, Hector and Ninian following behind her. With the rapid pace which they had been marching, the skeletons soon were left behind, and were lost from view.

"What power do you possess that repels these skeletons?" Selunine asked the four not knowing which of them would answer.

Ninian spoke in response to Selunine's question. "My lady... Selunine I believe it was? ... I wish I knew the answer to your question. I myself was afraid when we approached the city's borders, and though we saw people within, I was afraid to enter because of the walking dead. However, I was confident that with Mora's power we would be alright. There was no need to test that power though, as they never approached us."

A though suddenly hits Mora, "Hector, were the animals affected as well?"

"I don't really know Mora... haven't seen any out and about, but I haven't seen walking dead ones either, so I'd say they got killed, but not enchanted to walk again. I hadn't been out of the city though, so I don't know for certain how the world around us is affected. Scary sight though... all happened with some bright light. I was down in the cellar picking up another thing of ale since we had just run out. Came back up, and the walls were gone, bodies all over the place. And then, the rest is history."

The walk through the forest was strangely silent. There was no chirping of birds, and sounds of what was the city of Badon. The only sound that was slightly audible was the sound of the water lapping on the cliff face where the city had been built.

Mora, leading the way, soon found her way to her home. The house was still intact, and it seemed as though sound had returned. The birds could now be heard chirping, and there was the sound of footsteps every now and then of a creature walking just out of sight.

And old man and woman are sitting on the porch, speaking with each other. A small dog lays on the porch between them, lazing in the sun. They have not noticed the group yet, but Mora recognizes them as her parents and pet. At least they aren't dead. Or worse.

The Holy City of Alimar - Weapons Room

As Kandar grasps the bow, his vision begins to fade, and power rushes through him. Slowly his vision fades to black, and Kandar's mind stops working.

Seconds later though, Kandar wakes. Finding himself holding the bow in his hands, and ten arrows standing in front of him. But where was he? Looking around he noticed he was in a closed room, but there was grass growing like the outdoors. Trees were abundant, but not impossible to navigate. Further down, Kandar though he could see... a target? Two targets? Maybe more? He couldn't be sure.

"So you've come, Kandar Tailsad. It is good to see you. I knew that you would come. It is time, after all."

Whipping around, you can see a small elven woman wearing clothes of the plains, and with her hair in braids, with beads woven in to them. Her bronzed skin seems vibrant against her raven black hair. She also holds a bow in one hand. Along her arm though, you can see the head of a bird tattooed in. This must be the person from the painting behind the bow!

"My name is Mia. I go by 'The Eagle'. In times past, I used that bow to fight in the great war. And now, it moves to you. However, are you truly worthy? If you wish to prove your worth, I propose a game." Mia walks over to you. Her yellow eyes fix on you, and a smile forms on her face. She picks up five of the arrows before you. In her hand, they turn white, while the ones which she left turn black.

"Here's how this works. In the forest, there are five targets. We each have thirty seconds to go out and shoot at the targets. You can use my old bow, and I will use this one which I have just made. If you win, or tie me, you can keep the bow. If not, then I'll have to take it back. What do you say?"

"They did not permit me to follow my beliefs. Drow beliefs. Dark Elf beliefs. My weapon is more important than my soul, as it was gifted to me by my goddess. A drow goddess. A dark elf goddess. I refuse to enter those walls. If the city had been more respectful, they would've permitted me through the first time, perhaps with an escort, or constantly being monitored. But they did not. They closed their minds so as to not give me the respect I deserved as a sentient humanoid. I will not enter."

Alexandria looks around, and finding a small copse of trees motions to Brianna and Sorronuume. "There, shall we? That looks like a nice spot.

I think with my change I've eliminated the cover of the wall. I moved in to the cell so that I still have to deal with the bars, but not so much the wall. Do you see this the same way I do? If not, then I will change it again.

Actually, Miko, I'll have to agree and disagree with you there. It is true that during the Sengoku Period (1500 or so) in Japan, Ninja had guns. However, they had also learned of the use of gunpowder, and primitive firearms slightly before that. Ninja were not only trained in combat and stealth, but also in herbalism. This came from their background, as many ninja started as farmers, and used farming as a cover job.

That being said, Ninja had gunpowder around (if I remember correctly from my visit to Iga city...) 1300 AD... Roughly 200 years before the Portuguese brought their firearms over. It's true, that the European guns were more advanced... but they weren't the only black powder firearm in Japan at the time.

But still. Ninjas PWN.

Xavier walks with the woman to her own quarters, slightly stumbling along the way, of both fatigue and shock. The woman wanted to be a vampire? Was that what she was saying, or was he just hallucinating from blood loss? Perhaps it would be better to discuss after he had had his fill. But that would mean leaving her alive...

"My my my... you have strong ambitions. I will say this - I will only ask for one night. What you give to me after that is of your own volition. We can talk afterwards about your other... terms."

Xavier looked around the room, taking in every single nook and cranny. This all seemed too good to be true. And if it was, he wasn't going to be caught unaware. He would know his way out. And he would know how to do it quickly.

Closing the door behind him, Xavier smiles. This city wasn't so bad after all. He would probably enjoy it here. He could only think of what the governor had said after he walked out. And what the rest of his party had said. And what he was thinking. Oh right. He knew the answer to the last question. Blood.

At the woman's request, Xavier moves in, cracking his knuckles and reaching out with his nimble fingers. "Very well, my lady. If that is what you want me to do, then I shall."

Alexandria hears Lorae's call and stops, turning her head over he shoulder, her eyes are narrow with anger, not at Lorae, but at the guards.

"I do not care for entrance into a city who would turn me away simply because of my race. Not all drow are terrible people. Some of us want change. Some of us dance in the light of day, and before the moon. Those people would not accept me when I first attempted entry. I will respect that, and remain out doors. If you all wish to explore the city, by all means, don't let me hold you back. But I will not step in such a prejudiced city."

"Alright you bugger of a guard in this godforsaken hellhole. Come at me all you want. But just like the others who imprisoned me, you'll be dead before you know it. Assault without provocation is a crime. You will now be punished for it."

David took a quick step into the cell which he was outside of to manipulate around the wall, and drew back his bow and let fly, and almost like lightning shot another two arrows from his quiver, aimed at the guard. The three shafts of death hurtled toward the guard.

"Taste my fury."

Alexandria turned her attention from Lorae to the guards.

"You humans have closed your eyes to the outside world, and the good which is in the hearts of everyone. I forgive you for this, hoping that seeing this, you will be more open to possibility later in life. However, with your blatant disrespect for my culture in forcing me to conform to your laws and infringing upon my own freedom, then I have to choose to stay with my comrades outside of your cities walls. Not all those with black skin have a black heart. And not all with a black heart have black skin."

Alexandria stands up to a neutral position, and then slowly walks out of the guardhouse, stroking her sword.

Eilistraee gives me visions of what I should have done with her symbol which she has granted me. This is more than a piece of tempered steel. This is a holy gift that I have been granted to keep with me."

Alexandria shifted her position, bending her knees and spreading them to just past shoulder length, her hand still on her sword.
