Brom.. I cant remember if I gave you everything you need for my character. His history should say most everything about what he is like and I think I mentioned his weapons as well.

If you need anything, let me know.

Location: The Grey Mountains
Date/Time: Day Eight - Pre dawn

“What brings you to this mountain?” he asks in a commanding tone, “speak quickly.. for there are others out here who might stumble across us and spoil our private conversation.”

Thor thinks quickly about how to get this dwarf to know they are here to fight this dark one but is not ready to reveal all such as the marks on their hands. So he deceides to invoke Alacrans name and hope these dwarfs have heard of him.
I know you feel we are at a disadvantage here and that you are holding all the cards right now, and maybe you are and maybe your not, first I would like you to look at our group and I know that either yourself or one amoung you should be able to tell if we are an evil band. Second if you know what has been happening in these mountains then you should know who has been fighting against the dark one. Thor wished there was some way he could let the others know what he was going to say so they could be at least somewhat prepared for if these dwarfs are not what they seem and are working for the dark one what he is about to say may be a death warrent for them. If true than the name of Alacran should ring true to you as one who stands against the dark one, and all I can tell you beyond that right now is that it is because of him that we are now here, and we are on a mission with dire consequences should we fail. We where also told that if we could locate any Grey Dwarves in the mountains here they would be formable allies to have.

Siliwen looks to the mature red-bearded Dwarf. Her clear voice has the ring of sincerity, "Who we are exactly is not important nor is where we are from. What is important is that e were sent here to do what other have failed to do thus far. The Dark One knows of our existence and had done much to try to stop us. Alacran himself, helped us to get this far so that we can carry out our mission here.

"If we are successful it may be that the power of the Dark One can be balanced and the evil he does to the land and people halted."

We are here to try our very best to accomplished this task hat has been set for us. To fail will spread the Dark One's power further than just this land."

"If time is of importance then let us leave this place. If I stand long on the ground THE Dark One can find me. This would do no one any good."

"Beside we meed food and water for our horses or they will perish. It is my hope that you can provide us with at least that."

"Will you help us?"

The Dwarven Leader looks over the group as both Thor and Siliwen plead their case; when they mention the name Alacran his eyes returned quickly to them.

“We know that name,” he said sternly, “the mage is a true friend of the Grey Dwarves and has helped us from time to time in what matter he could without drawing down the Dark One’s power full upon us.”

“That you know of Alacran and speak his name so freely, “ the leader continued as the other dwarves seemed to relax even further with the mention of their general acquaintance, “is a great boon. However… THAT needs some explaining.” He concluded by pointing at the party’s dark companion who has not moved since they stopped for the night.

“He is obviously a keen to the Shelnak,” the leader said as he gazed at the shadowy figure, “yet he does not have the reek of evil about him. Where did you get him?”

(Answer here.. assuming you tell him the true)

The elder dwarf nods and smiles a little, “It sounds like Alacran then.”

A dwarf comes rushing into the group and whispers to the leader who nods and gestures to his men, “We have company. A group of Kree approach, we must leave. I suggest you come with us, maybe we can aid each other.”

Without waiting for a reply, the dwarves turn and head off towards the peaks.

(assuming again the party goes with them, after gathering their things)

They follow the dwarves as they make an easier path through the rocks for the party and their mounts. They move up through a ravine till just shortly past dawn when the dwarves uncover a hidden cavern which they gestured the group into as they themselves entered.

They find a large cavern, big enough for all of them and their mounts, which looks like it is used a lot as a resting/hiding place since there are makeshift stables, with hay, grain and water, some cots, tables and chairs. As they enter the dwarves are moving about lighting torches and as soon as everyone is inside, the entrance closes again; a large stone moved into place by an intricate set of counterweights and levers.

“Make yourselves at home,” the leader says, “You look like you need rest. It will be safe here. I suggest you get some sleep, the night was not kind to you and you will need your strength for the coming battle.”

Stardate: 2374.09.06
USS Charon - Shuttlebay - 1420 hours

Lt. Jake Myers nodded to the two security men stationed just door to the door of the shuttlebay; they was here as a matter of standard procedure than any perceived need. He then stepped into the shuttle bay which had become temporary quarters for the junior personnel from the Cerebeus. He paused to look around at the survivors and he couldn’t help be feel sorry for them. They had been through a lot, their ship destroyed, many of their comrades lost, and then to be crammed in here in temporary quarters.

They deserved better in his opinion but the Charon was a smaller ship than the Cerebeus and this was the best they could do. The few spare quarters they had went to the Cerebeus’s Senior Officers and then some of the Charon crew had to give up their rooms and double up with other crewman to make room.

He nodded to the Ops personnel stationed at a nearby desk as they were packing up their gear, apparently they had finished cataloging all of the survivors and screening them. He assumed they had found nothing since he had heard no reports.

Myers himself had been watching the sickbay along with other security personnel, but once the injured Romulans were transferred back to their secured area in the Shuttle bay the security guard at the sickbay had been terminated. Only Cerebeus personnel remained in sickbay and they had already been checked for weapons and cleared. He assumed the sickbay personnel would take care of the medical scans since they would be performed as part of routine treatment.

Thinking of the sickbay, Myers couldn’t help but wonder what all that business with Lt. Cmdr Talon and the other Senior officers was all about. He had heard that the CSO had been relieved of duty and charges of insubordination were pending. He only shook his head; Talon was a close friend of his and they often talked and fought and he knew how stubborn the Lyran could be. It was in their blood; this violent, combative nature, but disobeying a direct order from a superior officer? He never thought Talon would get out of line that far. He sighed and hoped things would get better soon; maybe it was all a misunderstanding that would be straightened out. They would have to wait and see.

Myers moved through the shuttle bay, he asked here and there if anyone needed anything and directed them on how to attend to their needs if they had any. He tried to assure them that they would get down to the bottom of this given time.

He arrived finally at the security area where four Charon Security personnel guarded the Romulan contingent encased in a security field. He didn’t try to speak with the Romulans, that had been forbidden at Talon’s orders and Lt. Kennedy was the acting liaison while they were aboard.

Myers nodded to the security who nodded simply back at their superior and straightened up even more in their uniforms. He looked over the area assigned to the Romulans and saw that they sat stiffly on their bunks or stood around awkwardly.

“Lt. Kennedy?” Myers said hitting his commbadge, “Lt Myers here in the shuttle bay… the Romulans don’t have a table or chairs, may I have permission to replicate a simple table and four chairs and have it placed in their secure area. I think they would be more comfortable than just laying on their bunks”

(Reply from Lt. Kennedy here. Assuming no objections)

“Very well, Sir” Myers said signing off.

Rather than take one of the tables and chairs from another area of the shuttle bay, Myers had the replicators manufacture one up and within ten minutes he had it beamed into the security area dropping only a small inaccessible area of the force field long enough for the transports. He did not converse with the Romulans, but they couldn’t help but notice the arrival of the simple metal table and four chairs and if they said anything to him he would only nod and then turn away towards the guards.

“Make sure they get fed,” he told them, “your relief should be here at 1500 hrs. Stay alert… and not just to the Romulans.” He knew the major reason they were stationed here was to make sure no retaliatory action would be attempted against the Romulans. If they were found responsible for the destruction of the Cerebeus, he knew the Captain would deal with them appropriately; until then they were to be treated fairly but guarded and protected.

Myers turned and left the shuttle bay and headed down to his chamber which he shared with another security officer and perhaps to rest for a bit. It had been an exhausting day and it wasn’t over with yet.

USS Charon – CSO/CTO Quarters – 1340 hours

Talon entered his quarters not even glancing at the security men who escorted him there. He didn’t want to see the look of confusion and perhaps disappointment at their supposed superior. He walked in and sat down on his bunk, a faint moan coming from him as he slumped down resting his head in his hands.

What have I done? The Lyran wondered and shook his head slightly. He let this crisis get to him somehow and now he has thrown away his career with Star Fleet.

Insubordination? On a Lyran vessel he would have been disintegrated already; well at least he was still alive.

Was that better?

Right now he preferred death to the fact that he had gone against the wishes of the Captain and had disgraced one of the few humans he actually respected and admired.

He sat for awhile trying to think of where he had started to go wrong. It was the whole sabotage angle; somehow he had already decided what had caused the problem and in his mind who was responsible.

It was the presence of the Romulans and even the Kzinti that had made his so suspicious about everyone. Anyone he didn’t know was a suspect.

He realized that Cmdr Fletcher had been right to relieve him; the XOs orders earlier about the treatment of the survivors was the correct course of action. First they should have ascertained the cause of the Cerebeus’s destruction and then begin the investigation. Besides, if there was a saboteur then he/she was either already dead on the Cerebeus or they were now on this ship and had no real place to go.

Security aboard the Charon was high; when he learned of the survivors he had ordered some guards to watch over the key areas of the ship where sabotage would most likely cause the most damage. He wondered if even those measures had been removed since they now distrusted his judgment. He doubted it though, since the Captain would no doubt believe those areas would need guarding nevertheless.

He raised his head up and stood up slowly from his bunk, went over to the replicator, “Lyran Whiskey, Double” he said softly and waited for a glass to appear with the amber colored liquor he had programmed into the system shortly after coming aboard. He took the glass and immediately downed half of it in a single gulp before turning and moving to his desk.

Dropping heavily into his chair he stared for a moment at the blank screen in front of him. He wanted so much to access the computer and check on security matters but he had been relieved of command which meant he was not suppose to do anything related to his job until give permission.

He doubted he would ever be given back his position now. Captain Gavison had been furious with him; he had failed the Captain and was not stuck here in his quarters, forgotten while the investigation of the incident continued without his assistance. He groaned again thinking about his failure and wondered when the Captain would formally level the charges that he had brought upon himself.

He didn’t blame the XO, or even Lt. Cmdr Kato 3 for their actions. They had been doing their jobs while he had been going off in a ‘karpac’ (witch) hunt trying to find the guilty person at any cost. He decided right then and there that no matter what the consequences of his actions would be, he would at least apologize to both Fletcher and Kato 3 for his actions and his foul treatment of them.

They were senior officers, and his superior or equal in rank, and they deserved the respect they had earned to get to where they were today. He had never really liked Fletcher, he wasn’t sure why, maybe he had always felt the man a bit soft, maybe it was his non-confrontational attitude which he saw as a weakness. Maybe the man wasn’t weak at all, he just treated other officers with more respect than Talon had ever shown anyone, even Captain Gavison.

He took another healthy dose of the whiskey and got up from the chair and returned to his bunk. Sitting the glass on the stand nearby, he stretched out on the bunk and let his own failures torment him; something he felt he deserved for his blatantly traitorous actions.

He thought that perhaps the Captain would be generous with him for his past service and only order his death by a quick firing squad, or at least let him fall upon his own blade to regain some of his honor.

“AYE!” Multiple voices sound off in unison.

“All opposed?”

“nay” a single weak voice whispers

~A single Phaser blast rings out~

“All opposed?”

~Silence~

OK, I will continue in this game then. I promise to reign in Talon, a bit.. at least no 'outward' insubordination.. really! If I start to get out of line too far and things threaten the flow.. let me know.. OOC… either in the Q&A thread here or via PM.. your choice. I don’t want a repeat of before. I do have a tendency to get too wild in those types of characters that are themselves of a wild and uncontrolled nature.

OK I guess Talon is in his quarters under guard waiting for the dressing down the Captain is sure to give him. Cant wait!

Topic: Star Trek: Operation:Persephone - Q&A
Subject: My bad!! :(

I want to apologize for any metagaming infractions that I apparently have conducted… it was not my intention to interrupt the game.. or metagame in any way.

Talon is always impulsive, a bit insubordinate, and very suspicious, especially of Romulans and Kzinti. Hearing the Cerebeus was destroyed he immediately thinks of sabotage and suspects the Romulans for one.

As for the insubordination, I watched a lot of Star Trek over the years, and I seem to recall several instances of insubordination in episodes, many of those were by Command Staff aboard the Enterprise, and things always worked out. I know that only works on TV and not in RL, having served my own time in the military I know this first hand.

His actions with the survivors were not as harsh as they may have sounded. He was only detaining people long enough for them to be scanned and cleared.. by the time the meeting in the messhall most, if not all, of the survivors other than those in the sickbay, would have been cleared and released and sent to a place they could relax and eat and etc. Everyone seems to make it sounds as if he was beating a confession out of people. It wasn’t like that.

As for Stan, he only reacted to a report that the man had acted strangely and even endangered others while escaping a ship, that kind of behavior warranted further questioning and detaining of said man for questioning.

But I can see how people would think I was using things of which my C was unaware. It was unintentional and I apologize for any disruption of the game flow. I have posted for Talon, a very compliant post, and since I have caused so much trouble, I will retire from this game with no hard feelings towards anyone, since the whole thing was my own doing. I hope no one has any hard feelings towards me for my missteps.

Thank you for letting me play.

USS Charon – Mess Hall – 1332 hours

So be it, Jonathon thought to himself as he tapped his commbadge. "Fletcher to security. Send a team to the officer's mess immediately." Upon receiving acknowledgement, the Charon's XO turned to face Talon.

"Mister Talon, you are a disgrace to the uniform. Bad enough that you stand here growling at another Starfleet vessel's second officer like some sort of base animal..."

"Actually, mester Rrowl's me actin' XO," Captain MacTavish interjected.

"...make that another Starfleet vessel's executive officer," Fletcher continued. "You disregard a direct order given to you not even an hour ago, and you treat your fellow officer with disrespect when he attempts to ensure that my order is carried out!"

The mess hall hatch opened to admit four gold-clad security officers who then held their positions, wearing expressions ranging from impassive to slightly confused.

Fletcher was not a confrontational man. He much preferred communication and compromise as a method for solving problems. Soemtimes, though, there was no alternative - and this was clearly one of those times.

"Lieutenant Commander Talon, on the grounds of insubordination and disobeying a direct order, I hereby relieve you of your post as chief tactical officer of the USS Charon. Surrender your weapon and commbadge at once."

Lt. Cmdr Talon turned to stare at the XO, the monkey man was out of his mind and Talon look like he was about to rebel against the XO, but then Talon caught a glance at Captain Gavison and seeing the dark anger on his face which seemed barely restrained and noticing that it was addressed at him, Talon’s anger changed to shock.

Did they not understand he was only doing what he thought was right for security? Yes he had restrained people for only a few moments, at least the Cerebeus crew, until they were cleared by security and medical scans; actually most of the crew had by now been released and sent to assigned quarters and spaces where they could recover from their ordeal.

Talon was a suspicious character and learning that the Cerebeus had been destroyed he naturally thought of sabotage, since there were Romulans onboard and even one of the hated Kzinti who he didn’t rule out even though the scans had cleared him, but he did consider the beast to have a low potential of being involved.

He still had guards around the Sickbay where the Romulans were being treated, and hearing of strange and cowardly behavior of a Cerebeus Crewman during the emergency he had sought to detain this individual for further questioning. It might amount to nothing, but being the ever suspicious one, he had taken action and not ruled out the crewman just yet. But now it seemed he had gotten out of control and even as these thoughts flashed through his brain he realized that he had overstepped his bounds. Taking a single step back from the XO so as to not appear threatening, he lowered his head slightly in a submissive gesture.

“Yes Sir!” Talon said quietly and reached down and slowly removed his modified phaser with his right hand and handed it to the XO, then removed his commbadge and handed that over as well.

Fletcher sighed. "We are at war, mister Talon. There is no room for such blatant disregard for the chain of command on this vessel. The secrity team will escort you to your quarters, where you will remain confined until otherwise ordered. If you slip so much as a whisker out of that cabin, mister Talon, you will be relocated to the brig for as long as is deemed necessary. Do you understand?"

“Understood Sir!” He said as his shoulders visibly sagged in resignation. He turned quietly and without another glance at anyone in the mess hall he walked out of the room under guard and returned to his quarters as ordered.

Kato 3 immediately hit his commbadge, staring straight at Talon. "Belay that order, Lt. Myers. And please have the MACO watching Mr. Stowbriesky at the moment reassigned."

"Sir?..." Myers responds, hesitating. Then realizing that he's speaking to a superior officer, he responds sharply. "Yes, sir."

Kato 3 signs off and continues staring at Talon.

"Mr. Talon," he says confidently and with an adversarial tone, "I believe Mr. Fletcher told you to treat the survivors of that catastrophe with respect. They're probably tired and disoriented and asking them questions now will yeild nothing. Keeping security details on exhausted people - and Starfleet officers, I might add - is not productive."

Before Talon could respond, he continues after the slight pause. "Mr. Stowbriesky is not a suspicious person, nor is he any kind of threat. I can vouch for him personally. He may not always be a model officer, but I served with him on the USS Benjamin Franklin and he is loyal to the Federation and Starfleet and certainly not the kind of stuff that spies or saboteurs are made of, if I understand your implications correctly."

Lt Cmdr Talon hissed and hit his own commbadge again, “LT MYERS! Carry out my orders immediately! Accept no other orders unless they come from someone of a higher rank than myself. Authenticate Alpha Zulu” Signing off he glared at Kato 3.

“Last I looked Lt Cmdr,” Talon hissed at him, “you are not my superior. The Chief Security Officer handles security and not the Science officer. Do not countermand my orders again when it concerns MY AREA!”

The last was almost yelled into the Science officers face. Talon was fuming at this point. The XO ordering him around was one thing, but he was not going to let someone who was not a superior officer cancel his orders.

“I don’t care it if is your Mother” Talon continued lowering his voice again, “if I deem them worthy of further security then it will be so.”

He seemed to have forgotten the other officers in the room, including the other Captains who were no doubt glaring at the two of them. He took a step back from Kato 3 before he decided to rip his throat out right there and now, and glanced at Captain Gavison.

Then without further interruption, he explains what the MACO reported and that he is having the crewman checked out despite what the Science officer says.

USS Charon – Sick Bay – 1330 hours

Shaking his head at what he knows must be a yelling match going on up above, Talon was no doubt enraged, no one but the Captain ever countermanded the CSO’s orders.

Myers nodded to the two security personnel with him and entered the sick bay, as soon as he was inside he addressed one of the medical staff attending to injured and sick.

“Where is Crewman Stowbriesky?” He asked and the nurse pointed to the man bed.

(Assuming he is still there and being treated of course, if not then post stops here)

“Computer, place a Level 5 security containment field around Crewman Stowbriesky, authorization Alpha Zulu 589” he says loud enough for the computer to register his command. He used the code that Lt. Cmdr Talon instructed him to use, which only Talon or a higher ranking officer assigned to the Charon could override.

(Stop here waiting to see the outcome, is Stan still there? Does it all work? What S*** hit’s the fan? Oh I love friendly confrontations )

USS Charon - Bridge – 1233hrs

"Mister Talon," Fletcher answered, "I never suggested that the survivors would not go through security screening. I am aware of the captain's orders. That being said, these people are our comrades, our brethren in arms - these are NOT enemies, nor are they prisoners of war. For God's sake, man, they were assigned the same mission as us! Screen them, ask questions of those that you feel deserve it, keep an eye on those that may warrant it, but they will be treated with the respect that they deserve."

Then, it happened. Talon cited that security was his responsibility, and that he would do what he felt was necessary.

"Belay that nonsense!" he bellowed, coming to his feet from the captain's chair. "You will follow orders, Mister Talon - THAT is what you will do! Computer," Fletcher barked, "how many crew members are currently serving aboard the Charon?"

=/\\= The USS Charon currently has fifty-six active crew. =/\\= came the computer's feminine reply.

Fletcher leveled his gaze at Talon and spoke in an icy tone. "Short of setting up a force field in the cargo hold and keeping all of the Cerberus' crew prisoner within, how do you propose on keeping full security details on eighty-odd survivors? Will you assign each member of this crew a survivor or two to watch around the clock?"

The Charon's XO cuts off any attempt at a reply.

"Set up your scans. Do your duty. But you make sure to treat these people with respect. Acknowledge my order, Lieutenant Commander, or I will relieve you of your post this instant and have you escorted to the brig. Do I make myself understood?"

“Don’t worry Sir,” Talon said with a smile that show his fangs, something that unnerved those unfamiliar with his species, “they will be treated fairly as long as they don’t cause trouble.”

"Very well," Fletcher replied. "Get off my bridge, Mister Talon. I don't want to see your face again until you have a complete report on all surviors in your hand."

Talon left the bridge fully intent on doing what he plan to do anyway. He had already arranged for full security fields to be in place around the docking bays, medical, and anyplace else the ‘survivors’ were allowed on board. Until they were cleared, which wouldn’t take long, he would keep them isolated and release them as soon as the security and medical scans were complete.

Of course, the extra security was in place at the Sickbay where he had learned the Romulans and some other injured survivors had been transported.

Talon didn’t like the Fletcher, the monkey boy didn’t understand true discipline. Always trying to throw his pips around as if that is all that mattered. He respected Captain Gavison because Talon and he were much alike and had been through a lot together, but Fletcher was an officer that the Lyran considered not worthy of his position.

Stardate: 2374.09.06
USS Charon – Mess Hall – 1330 hours

Talon watched as the Kzinti looked at him, sniffed the air and looked back at him. The growl in his throat died as the beast simply yawned at him and didn’t respond back. This caused the Lyran to blink, and some of his ire faded. This Kzinti had very good control; here they stood, close enough to launch themselves at one another, something normally done when these two ancient enemies met, and the foul beast just stood there showing more self control than he did.

Talon’s hand moved away from his phaser and he relaxed and reached down and straightened his shirt. He returned the same placating smile that Rrowl had given him. He had to control himself, he couldn’t let this ‘thing’ show him up in front of his Captain. He looked away from Rrowl and towards Captains Gavison and MacTavish. If they had noticed his reaction to the Kzinti he would bow his head slightly in what might appear as a form of apology for his interruption of their conversation. He stood at ease as they continued, showing that he was not to be outdone in the form of manners and discipline.

Rhiannon does double time herself to where the officers of both ships were meeting. The door opened and she stepped in. As Gavison had noticed before she was not one mince or hem and haw, She moved directly to Lt Commander Talon.

She saluted smartly, resting the barrel on her rifle in her left had to do so.

"Sir, I am carrying a report for MACO Master Sergeant Brianna MacQueen, she wanted to alert security as to the actions a Cerberus crewman for insubordination and for trying to take off in an unloaded ASRV, thus stranding her MACO team on the Cerberus."

Lt. Cmdr Talon turned from where the other officers were discussing what had happened when the door open and he raised a brow when the MACO walked up to him, saluted and reported.

“Interesting,” he said at first, “Gunnery Sergerant.. where is this suspicious person now?” He wondered if this person might have anything to do with the sabotage of the Cerebeus, maybe not but it deserved checking out.

(Assuming she fills him in on Stan’s location and his name)

“Lt Myers?” Talon says hitting his commbadge, knowing that he had assigned Myers to head the detail watching sickbay.

“Yes Sir?” Myers responded.

“You have an injured crewman in Sickbay by the name of Stan Stowbriesky,” Talon says, “I want you to isolate this man as a potential threat. Secure him in a security field if you have to until he has been cleared. I want a full report from the Medical staff as soon as possible.”

“Aye Sir!” Myers acknowledges.

Talon signs off and turns his attention back to Rhiannon, “Good work Sergerant! Keep your team ready to assist if needed.”

The Lyran liked the MACOs, even the females were fighters and having worked with them before he had been witness to their combat expertise. It was something he admired and trusted.

While Lt Myers moved to follow his orders in Sickbay, Talon turned to report this development to the Captains.

I am sure the Charon security will make a note of everything they take from the Romulans and make a full report to Lt. Cmdr Talon. His reaction to some of the stuff should be interesting.

Varuna, I have heard tell of a cleric’s ability to warp any wood no longer part of a tree. Perhaps that would make the guard overhead unable to attack with his crossbow? Otherwise, if there is some other way to negate him as a threat, I welcome it.” The Bladesinger says.

“May Lysora protect us all,“ Varuna whispers to her and prepares himself.

He prays to Lysora asking her to give them all strength (not a spell just a prayer) and prepares to cast his warp wood spell upon the crossbow wielding guard. He doesn’t try to warp the crossbow itself, but pictures the wooden bolts whether in the bow or on his person and warp them so that they are useless. (At his level, he should be able to warp a dozen bolts at a range of up to 30 yards)

He will cast his spell as soon as he sees Val casting her sleep spell, if they are within the range, if not he will rush forward behind the warriors and cast it as soon as he is within range of the bowman (Though I am guessing they are already within range).

For the next round he will keep himself in front of Val, his mace in hand and prepare to cast the hold person spell upon any that appear to still be moving, but only if it is needed. If anyone gets past the warriors and tries to rush him or Val, he will intercede to protect their mage. If some escape Val’s sleep spell, he will use his hold spell to keep them (up to 1d4 people) from escaping and sounding an alarm.

hmm.. trying to confuse me again huh?

Ok then.. since she is a MACO then Talon will no doubt take her seriously and she will be cleared much faster and whomever she points out as suspicious will be given the full treatment, scans for dangerous items, bioscan, etc. all under heavy guard. You may post anything to that effect involving the security detail of the Charon. They will even respond with Lethal force if necessary.

Brianna... the highest security on the Charon is Lt. Cmdr Talon.. he will hear any report she has to make, especially since all survivors are to be questioned and scanned before release. Though he might not totally believe a Romulan since he is always suspicious of them.. depends on how convincing she is... if you want to backpost something to him then please do so.. he would have been checking on the Romulans in the Sickbay before reporting to the Captain.

Vatta had stormed off from Cerric leaving him standing there his mouth agape at what to say to her. He had not followed or called after her and she had walked off until she was alone. After about half an hour she had composed herself and returned to the Inn, walking in she went to the bar and ordered a glass of Elvin spring wine and downed half the glass in a gulp.

Looking about the inn she spots Brianna and Xuor sitting at a table talking to a unfamiliar man, she stays at the bar not wishing to interrupt their conversation. She is glad that Cerric is not present in the room, she was through trying to explain things to him. He seemed to have a compulsion to try and ‘save’ her, from what she didn’t know.

She knew who she was and she wasn’t proud of the things she had done in the past, but she was not wholly evil. She often did things to help people, but she had killed and for money. Life was something that was fleeting and often she had helped to speed some peoples lives along to their end. She liked to think that the ones she had killed had all been evil men and deserved to die, but in the end she figured she would find out the truth of it if there was an afterlife as so many others believed.

She sat drinking her wine, trying to forget her earlier confrontation with the Priest. She was who she was and if the party could accept that then she would probably continue to travel with them, if not then she would part company if that was their desire.

(Was waiting on Philo to post but apparently his absence is of a considerable duration, so I have bypassed his response and moved on.)

The Charon - Bridge – 1230 hours

"Mister Kennedy," he addressed the operations chief, "We'll need accomodations for nearly ninety personnel. I am well aware that we don't have that kind of room, but do the best that you can. Notify our junior officers that they will be temporarily relocated; use their berths to host the Cerberus' senior staff. Try to get junior officers into cabins if you can; we can add cots to the existing quarters and squeeze in a few that way. The crewmen will have to make do with cargo bay two. Get the replicators working overtime to at least get them some bunks.”

Lt. Cmdr Talon was still giving orders through his comm to his security personnel, setting up full details at the transporters, in Medical, and in the docking bays, when he over heard the XO’s orders to Kennedy and whirled to face the Cmdr.

“SIR!”, the Lyran stated forcefully, “I insist on full security details on all survivors. They should be quarantined until a full security and medical sweep is complete. I have assigned details to the Medical Bay, Transporter rooms, and docking bays. We must keep them contained until we find out what happened.”

(Response if any)

Talon will insist on his precautions and if the XO overrides him he will bring up the fact that security is his responsibility and that he will do what he feels is necessary.

He will leave the bridge to head the security detail assigned to bring the Cerebeus Command staff aboard. When he hears that some of the Romulans have been transferred to Medical he will assign extra men there. He will keep all uninjured survivors in the docking areas until they are cleared with a full security sensor sweep for weapons or other dangerous devices, and a full medical scan to determine if any are not what they appeared. He thought it highly likely that a Romulan saboteur could be disguised as a crewman.

Once all were aboard he would check in with the medical security team before heading back to the bridge to report to the Captain.

The Charon – Bridge – 1319 hours

“Mr. Fletcher, Talon, Mr. Kato, and Jones, you’re with me. Mr. Mas’Riat, you’ve the bridge,” The Captain ordered as he came in and then headed off the bridge.

While they traveled to the mess hall where the Cerebeus Senior Officers had been sent, after being cleared of course, he filled in the Captain on his security measures.

- All survivors were being screened medically and for dangerous items.
- The Senior Staff were cleared already but several other crewmen remained.
- He still kept all survivors isolated and under guard until all had been checked out.
- He had extra men guarding the medical bay where at least some of the Romulans were having their injuries tended to. This didn’t seem to please him and he sounded as if they were aiding the enemy.

The Charon – Mess Hall – 1330 hours

As they Charon’s Captain walked in to greet Capt MacTavish, Lt Cmdr Talon paused just inside the room and his eyes immediately went to the Kzinti standing there. Talon’s slit-like eyes narrowed and his hand instinctively went to the modified phaser in the holster hanging from his side. Seeing his people's hereditary enemy standing there only a few yards away caused a conflict within the Lyran. He had been raised to hate the Kzinti, had lost friends and family to the endless struggle that had raged for centuries between the two races, and he found it hard not to draw his weapon and burn down the Cerebeus’s officer right there on the spot.

A low growl began deep in his throat, a impulsive thing he couldn’t stop and the struggle to maintain his discipline was evident to anyone that might look upon him. He stood rigidly, fighting the urge to kill, to feel his enemy’s blood upon his hands.

The Captain’s words to the Cerebeus’s Commanding Officer did not register with the Lyran, so much concentration and control was needed to keep him from launching an attack at Lt. Cmdr Rrowl. The sound of his growl grew slightly to it couldn’t help but be heard by any of those present in the room.
