Subject: Histories
It is a great idea to post some history here and a bit on your characters, especially since all of you have worked together before this adventure.
So consider it a requirement.. everyone who is playing in this game please post a short history.. similar to what has already been posted.. for your characters.
It will give you something to do while I finalize the start of the adventure.

Well the Saints have been struggling alot in these playoffs.. last night they barely won and that was with 5 turnovers from the Vikes...
If they play like they just did.. then the Colts will eat them alive.
We will see which teams show up for the game.

Actually.. the 2 magic items I have give everyone. are free. you can purchase more with your starting gold.. but no item can have more than a +2 bonus.

 Yeah it is alot .. but these guys have been paid well as you will see.
The magic items are not to be taken from your starting gold.. and just remember to keep your items to a manageable level.. I dont want any bowmen carrying 200 arrows on his person..

gboy - Well I have never DMed an adventure in Audalis soooo.. I would have to read the same info to try and find the answer.
Maybe someone else here can answer it better. I will look for the answer though and let you know if I find out.

Ok.. thanks for all those who has requested a spot in this adventure.. I have chosen the following:
Raven - You can play your Syl warrior Priest Danamar. Very nice history btw.
gboy - Arcanist (Would love to have you play with us)
(What game is complete without the twins? )
Brianna - Ranger or Scout as you wish
&
Dragon Mistress - Fighter/Cleric
Extra guest star:
reepacheep - Will give you a go as you seem to have previous knowledge of the system. How about your Halfing Rogue/Warlock. Just remember, I don’t expect novella size posts but I don’t want a one or two liner either.
Now this will be 3.5E, since you all see aware of that system the best. I did my last adventure in 3.5 and am starting to get use to it so let’s keep it going.
As for character generation:
LV6 (combined if multiclass)
4d6 stats (drop lowest)
Races found in Audalis; remember we are starting in Pardinal.
No evil alignments
Gear – Normal except for the following:
+1 weapon of choice (allowable); +2 for fighter-types
+1 armor of choice (allowable); +2 for fighter-types
Magic users can request one minor magic item from me; please state all abilities of said item since I may not have access to the required book to look it up.
If you are a fighter/magicuser types you cant have both bonuses listed above but you could alternate: (i.e. +2 weapon & 1 magic item) or (+2 Armor & 1 magic item) etc.
I have probably forgotten something so please ask me for info if needed. Post questions here for all to see, unless they are private to your character.
PM your characters to me; do NOT post them here. Include a short history with your character, if you haven’t already listed one.
Once I have ironed out things over the next week, I will start putting together things. FYI all of your characters have recently worked together so you all know one another. Sorry no dark meeting in some wayward inn someplace

Subject: Your got questions.. I've got answers..
It wont give anything away to say that the adventure will take place in Pardinal; it might actually help you in determining your history.
I am leaning more towards AD&D 2ed as I am more familiar and comfortable with that system.
The characters will be LV 6 or combination to equal Lv 6 if multiclassed. I am not against using companion books to generate characters, just please let me know which one you are planning to use.
I have read your posts before Raven and would be glad to have you in my game.
Anyone have more questions please let me know.
Edit: The posting speed is once a week minimum. I will probably update on a Sat or Sun of each week.

Subject: Colts.. moving on up
Well thanks to the Ravens falling apart through most of the game.. the Colts are moving on the the Championship game.
Tomorrow will see whether they play the Jets or the Chargers.. I think the Chargers are going to win... but hope the Jets will cause I think them the least threat to the Colts.
New Orleans moving on.. hopefully to play the Vikings after they Stomp the Cowboys tomorrow..
We shall see!

I am looking to start a new adventure which will be based in Audalis. We can use any D&D system up to 3.5. I need a party comprised of 4 members minimum (Fighter, Mage, Cleric, Thief. or variations of)
If you are interested, please post what character you would like to play. I will allow you to make up your own character and history suitable for the Audalis setting once we settle on a system. Please post your preference of systems.
If you are new to this forum please let me know what games you are currently playing in so that I may check out your style. I am looking for good posts, meaning more than a line or two, and at least once a week posting frequency.
If I get enough interest I will start the game within the next couple of weeks, once I receive character sheets and histories. If I get more than enough interest, I will choose which players I will accept into the game.

Yes I did plan on playing the adventure here on the Inn... and I guess what I am asking is.. how far can I go? What if something in my adventure changes something that would need to be part of the history? What if a town that was on the map now is destroyed? Is this a problem?
Not saying that I am going to do any of those things.. just examples.
I mean with my own setting I know I can go as far as I want.. but Audalis is someone else's setting, who's I am not sure, and they have graciously allowed us to use it. So I dont want to overstep my bounds

I have a question regarding the Audalis world and I am not sure who to ask.
I was thinking of starting an adventure somewhere in Audalis and wondered what amount of Leeway does a DM have in this setting?
I mean.. can we use well known figures, NPCs, listed in the setting for that area?
Can some small towns or villages be destroyed?
How far, outside of total destruction, can a DM go with the Audalis setting?
I just want to know before I start research on where I want to have my adventure.
