Mae didn’t appear to notice Bulls Eyes reaction to his battle mask, or at least no one could tell because they couldn’t see his eyes now.

“We need a RV or something close let’s try for that if we can” Croaker told Bull’s Eye.

“Whatever the case,” Firewind added, still hunching against the weather. “Can we move this discussion away from the edgy man with the submachine gun?”

Mae thought that a wise decision, no use risking anything if they weren’t going to attempt to boost the van.

“Firewind’s right lets calmly move on, as far as where to go Pacifica’s out too much sec so we head to Rancho Coronado by taxi or bus depending on our available Euro’s.” Croaker said and started them down the street again.

Mae followed in their wake, keeping the smg totting guard locked in his sights until the corner of a building removed him from sight. He walked a yard of two behind the group again, his hand still hovering near his automat as he scanned the street for trouble. He presented the visage of a modern day grim reaper, tall, dressed in black, his face completely hidden behind his black armored battle mask and bandana. A look he found very intimidating to most.

All this talk was boring him, he didn’t have any suggestions and besides he doubted that Croaker would trust him anyway. The man seemed to be very edgy when it came to the black clad assassin; the thought made Mae smile behind his mask. He liked making people uneasy, if they wasted thought on worrying about him then it weakened their reactions, slowing them ever so slightly, which sometimes gave him just the edge he needed.

He didn’t have any plans to do anything against these people, not right now anyway. They were trying to stage an assault against the Megacorps and he really wanted in on that action, but one could never tell when ‘allies’ could sudden turn into ‘enemies’, sometimes in the blink of an eye.

“Ok you heard the Lt we finish recon on this Level then we head down, same formation as before, move out.”

Sgt Lee nodded and moved out taking the lead once again as they made their way through the remaining rooms on this level. Entering the Auxiliary Lab, Lee moved to the side as he scanned the room staying silhouetted in the doorway for less than a second. He immediately saw more destruction here, but before he noted the details of those things he completed his visual scan of the room for danger.

“More fighting here, Sarg,” he said softly as he moved further into the room. He took a closer look at the huge machine which seemed to contain some kind of dead body.

“Looks like some kind of transport,” he said to the others, “containing what looks like an dead alien.” A hint of disbelief in his voice at what he was seeing. He takes a step back to let the others peer inside as he covers the room keeping his eyes open for any danger.

This was certainly becoming a science fiction movie here; weird glowing spheres, aliens, yetis, what next he wondered. He wasn’t sure he wanted to find out.

Well I always PM the DM my ideas at least until they are approved… and I sent him my backstory as well. If he approves the character concept and wants the backstory posted then I will oblige.

I do hope to have at least one, maybe two people who are ‘friends’ with my character, but I cant make any commitment till I get my character approved.

Gently, as Vatta pushed her chin down towards her chest, he placed two fingers underneath it, and pulled her gaze from the ground back into his warm brown eyes. "Our lives are never defined in such meagre ways. Even if you were but a killer and a thief, which I cannot believe to be true, what you feel you are, what you pray to be, it cannot be revoked by the weakness of mortality. If we were gods we may do all that we want, be what we believe in at all times, because we are not bound by life, and in intricacies. We worry, we fear, and contradict ourselves, we lie, and then we say we are true, but we lie more still."

Moving his hand fron her chin, so that his fingers could rest gently upon the back of her neck, he continued, "Perhaps we are here in this moment for a reason. You made me a promise, to protect me, something completely unselfish, and it was no lie. Not only that, you gave to me, which discredits you as a thief, who gives nothing for free. We are all killers now, but strike yourself breathless at the realization that we are also saviours. We saved lives, and ended a war that could have been bloodier by far. Only those living can become righteous, so those that die in our wake are the stones upon the road to our salvation."

As Cerric’s fingertips raised her chin up to look at him, Vatta’s amber colored orbs locked with his brown ones. He could see moisture gathered at the corners as they filled with strong emotions. She blinked more rapidly trying to hold back the tears that threatened to flow freely as he talked to her of worries, fears, and promises. As he continued talking about her unselfish feelings in promises she made to protect him, then a complete stranger; he could see much doubt buried in her almond shaped stare.

As he finished his oration he saw something he had said made a change come over her visage; yet as his fingers gently rested upon the back of her slim neck it was not a look of understanding and acceptance that he would have thought. No, it was a look of anger and with a sharp slap her hand came up and batted his arm away from her and she took a single step back. A fierce rage came upon her even though her eyes still filled with the threat of tears.

“Saviors?” she asked incredulously, “there is nothing about me that remotely resembles a savior.” Leaning slightly forward she kept her gaze locked on his; much like a lion staring down it’s prey.

“You think I am not a killer?,” she asked shaking her head slowly, “you know nothing about me. I who have killed people for gold. I who would have killed you if someone had paid me enough. It is easy for you to say these things when you have only seen a side of me that I wish to present for your appraisal. I don’t need your flowery words to tell me what I am.” Behind all the blind rage she seemed to be presenting, he could see the struggle within her to hold back a flood of tears that threatened to overwhelm her.

“You don’t know anything about the world, Priest,” she says, her voice cracking a bit as she tried to pull back her rage, “except what you have read in books.”

“There is a dark side to all of us,” she says whirling away from him, “I pray one day you will not have to confront your inner demons… and then have to live with the choices you had to make.”

She quickens her pace and heads off away from him, off into the rapidly growing darkness of the coming night.

Ok.. I just thought that an unauthorized transport would surely pop up on the Security Chiefs radar and bring about some questions.. but as long as he was notified that the Captain had authorized it then it shouldnt be a problem.

Mae saw the others walking off as he talked on the cell phone, he followed a discrete distance behind them so he could keep them in sight and still talk on the phone. As he walked he hung up and made two more calls and after the last he flipped his phone closed and slipped it back inside his coat, after making sure it was still on vibrate as he always kept it.

He quickened his pace so he could catch up to the others. Catching Crocker’s eye he just shook his head and shrugged letting the big nomad know that he had struck out. He didn’t have much contacts in the area of help, most of the people that knew him were either ones that he worked for, or enemies that would be glad to see him killed. He stayed at the back of the group a few steps behind so he could keep a good scan on everyone around them. If someone came along and tried to ice this group he wanted some room to move.

There,” Bull’s Eye’s gravel-filled voice brought their attention around. The group had progressed a few minutes down the street, working their way past shops, alleys, and restaurants until they’d come to a wide, one-way street that cut back between two red brick buildings tagged by graffiti. “Don’t no one point, or do nothin’ stupid like that. Just gather up like we’re talking lunch.”

Mae took one look down the street and saw trouble, and as the others gathered he stayed at the back of the group using them as cover. Hereached into his Icon America Duster and pulled a black battle mask out and slipped it on his face then raised the bandana up a bit to cover the lower portion. His Cyberoptics scanned the street and image enhanced everyone and everything there. His targeting scope locked on to the one with the SMG and his right hand still hovered near his holstered, smartlinked.44 automat.

About midway down the street, the area opened up to about three times as wide—possibly a loading/unloading area for the shops and restaurants. Parked there was a dull gray delivery van, the back doors opened wide and two people unloading boxes while another stood by with a submachine gun in hand smoking a cigarette. All three wore dark gray coveralls, ball caps, and heavy black work boots. The one holding the weapon was looking down the alley at the group of edgerunners that had just come into view, but the others were still working hard at removing the brown cardboard boxes from the back of the vehicle and placing them on the covered deck nearby. A stream of rainwater rushed down the alley away from the edgerunner’s positions towards the van that was about a foot wide. There was a large mottled green dumpster a bit further down in the courtyard, tucked into a corner just before the street narrowed again. The direction one-way sign pointed out towards the street the team hovered near, and traffic was slim, comparatively.

“Yeah, I know. There’s three obstacles, and one of them has heat, but that’s a delivery van, and it appears to be office supplies, so it could be an excuse for bein’ up that way if we ace it.” Bull’s Eye took another drag off the Canned Air and smiled as if he were telling a joke. “You’re call, Croaker. You want this one, or do we keep lookin’?”

“Looks like a good place for an ambush,” MDK whispered, his voice reverberating slightly because of the battle mask now in place. He was sure he didn’t have to point out the potential areas in that street where other’s could be laying in wait for someone to come along and attempt to steal the obviously precious cargo. He didn’t say anything else, he just let the leader make the decision. He would go with it either way, he was starting to get bored and needed something to break the monotony. Maybe killing someone would help, it usually did. Just in case, he settled his target reticule on the forehead of the SMG totting van guard.

Location: Wooded Area - Destination: The Grey Mountains
Date/Time: Day Six - Early Morning - Mid morning

As Billy tried to shake off the pain from the sword blow, an arrow glanced off his armor. "So you have no honor, afraid you cannot finish me on your own and would have your cowardly archer do your work for you huh?"

The leader snarled as he turned his mount again to face the large warrior then he waved his sword in the air and shouted to his men, “Leave off the big one, he is mine!” Then the leader charged his mount again at Billy.

Billy managed to get his sword under the guard of the leader as their horses passed and Billy felt the blade bite deep into the right hip socket of his foe, but in return the Leader’s blade also found it’s mark and crashed into the breast of the large man with such great force that it unhorsed him and he fell to the ground. The world around him spun and he felt fresh blood coursing down his chest. He knew he was severely hurt now and that if this didn’t end soon he would not survive this encounter. What he didn’t see was his blow on the leader also knocked that man from his animal and sent him crashing to the ground not far away. The Leader tried to stand but each time he fell back as his right leg would not support his weight.

Siliwen felt an arrow strike deeply into her body. She struggled to remain upright in the saddle. Winning that small battle so stay upright in her saddle she maintain her advantage of height to see out over what is going on. Siliwen quickly choose Magic Missiles as her next spell. She had to do her part to help them and Magic Missiles was a good spell for ranged offense.

Siliwen could clearly see the archer across the field that had shot her, so she sent a glowing bolt of energy flashing across the battlefield to strike the man while he was drawing another arrow from his quiver. He staggered from the impact and for a moment she thought he would fall from his mount, but he recovered and glared across the field towards her. He drew another arrow, having dropped the one when struck by the missle, and took aim at her.

Yet before the arrow left his hand, Siliwen saw her strange new protector step in front of her horse. She thought he was going to block the arrow with his body but with him on the ground and both archer and target still being on their mounts he was far too short for that. He didn’t try to block the shot, instead she saw him reach out his hand and make a clawing gesture in the air before him. She heard a scream and looked back towards the archer who had been about to fire upon her again and saw that something had ripped his eyes from their sockets. His entire face was marred as if a large animal had slashed his face with its talons and mauled him. The archer fell from his horse clutching his hands to his ruined face.

Thor quickly rolls over and jumps to his feet as he does he will also remove his morning star from it's place and now once again fully armed the now enraged Dwarf charges towards the man who is down with his dwarven war cry ringing out across the battlefield he will bring the force of both his weapons to bear upon the man whose horse he had brought down.

The man still half pinned under his dead horse, sees the enraged dwarf bearing down upon him and fear enters his eyes. He raises his sword and manages to block the morning star but the Dwarven war axe bites deep into the man’s neck nearly taking his head off and ending his struggles.

Riddle stunned by the blow quickly rolled out of the way of the charging horse knowing he had to protect Siliwen. As riddle stood up he shouted, "We need to form up. Alea get close to the fighters for healing. Siliwen get in the middle and lets take care of these archers." with that he began to move toward Siliwen again trying to form some sort of battle formation, this seemed a little to chaotic as he moved he whistled for his horse hoping she would hear him above all the noise.

Riddles makes his way over towards Siliwen, his movements through the chaotic battle deft and agile and he manages to avoid any injuries or getting in anyone’s way. He stands a few yards in front of Siliwen’s mount with his scims in hand guarding her from attack. Before him he sees the two men that were originally unhorsed as they attempted to ride Siliwen down, they begin to stir and look like they may soon be back in the fray.

Alea gives her stallion a pat as she falls back towards Siliwen setting herself to block incoming riders or any attackers on foot. prepares to cast healing on Siliwen first since she seems to be their primary target. After healing Siliwen she sets her spear.

Alea rides up to Siliwen and is just in time to witness the actions of their new strange companion in dealing with one of the archers who had targeted the mage. The power used by this creature set her nerves on edge; it stank of dark evil magic and she was sure her god would not approve of such creatures as these. She reaches out and draws the arrow from Siliwen’s side and then laying her hands on the mage she whispers a prayer to her god and feels the warm feelings pass from her and into Sil. She then turns her mount a little and sets her spear ready to provide cover from any attackers.

The last remaining archer watches as his partner falls to the ground holding the remains of his face in place and stares at the battle hesitantly. He takes only a moment to take his reins in hand, whirls his horse around and setting his heals to the mount sends it galloping away.

The archer’s retreat caused the last two mounted attackers to look at each other and then kicking their horses in the side, they followed the wise archer’s flight from danger.

Listen, Jedi," Susska says. "I appreciate your position. However, it is not in your authority to take custody of a prisoner. We are not under Republic jurisdiction, and Administrator Namor has nothing to do with security. That is the job of the respective mining organizations on their territory. Now I must insist that I take custody of this man, as he is suspected of committing a crime on Guild territory. I assure you, you will have access to him whenever you like, but he must be kept in a Guild holding cell."

"And besides, my Jedi friend," Susska continues, "I doubt very much that thiss one has anything to say."

Si-Di was not so easily dismissed; she would have her way in this investigation and she was prepared to argue her point with the Security Chief though in a calm and intelligent manner.

“I am afraid that will not do, Captain.” Si-Di replies with a slight shake of her head, “as I said, I captured this prisoner and until I deem my questioning of him complete I will not release him into your custody.”

“After what I heard from Kavtan here,” she turns to give the Duros a slightly smile and nod for his assistance, “I don’t trust anyone involved in this dispute and that includes Mining Guild Security.”

“Now,” she continues firmly drawing herself up to her full height of just under 2 meters, “you can insist all you want but think about this for a moment. With the death of my Master, I am now the lawful representative sent here by the Republic and the Jedi Order to mediate negotiations between the Mining and the Union Guilds. I doubt that the Republic Council will look kindly upon your impedance of my investigation into the death of a Jedi Master. If you insist upon taking the prisoner from me, I will have to report your lack of cooperation to my superiors and the circumstances leading to Master Allum’s death. I am sure that there will be no further mediation by any representative of the Republic”

Si-Di looked the Trandoshan Female officer squarely in the eyes showing her full resolve and determination.

“If your petty squabbles are not resolved soon,” the Jedi continued, “there will be further fighting amongst the two guilds and eventually it will spread to all corners of Dathu. Mining operations will cease and only war and bloodshed will reign. Many will die needless deaths. But no help will come from the Republic all because you could not cooperate and allow me to question this Arcona before you take him into custody.”

She raised and eyebrow questioningly as she finished and stood there oozing confidence and determination. She had learned much from Master Allum and she intended to try her hardest to live up to the expectations he had for her. She would not disgrace his memory and teachings by backing down when she knew she was in the right.

“So?” Si-Di concluded, “do I have ‘permission’ to continue questioning my prisoner or should I get on the next transport back to Coruscant to make my report?”

I cannot hold on to my anger and hatred anymore…
I must do what I feel is right.
I am NOT Evil…
Though I question my past actions…
I know I have learned something from my mistakes…
I will not be used for the purpose of evil.
That is not my purpose in life…
I have no use for anger, hatred and revenge…
I banish all negative motion from my soul…
I start my life anew…
I forgive all who have wronged me...
I can only pray, my beautiful goddess Aphrodite…
That my sins be removed from my soul..
I am born again…
I find trust in my love...
Truth in my happiness…
Tranquility in my friendship…
My life is for the love of everything for all time.

- Leighanna Valeigha‘s Prayer

World of Garayon
24th YE (Year of the Empire)
Month of Apina
Kalatar City
Imperial Palace

The Emperor of Kalatar paced angrily back and forth upon the dais before his throne of gold. The men gathered before him, all high ranking members of the Imperial Court, looked nervous and fearful of their lives. Each man knew that the temper of the Emperor was not something to be taken lightly and more often then not heads would roll upon the ground before the day was through. They waited in silence, each man fearing to speak a word lest their ruler’s ire be directed at them.

“How could this happen?” Emperor Kalatine finally asked when he paused in his pacing and gazed down upon the assembled court, “someone tell me how anyone could break into my dungeon and still away with a prisoner and escape the city unnoticed… HOW?”

There was a long silence and finally a man stepped forth and an almost audible sigh escaped the other men as they saw someone draw the attention of the Emperor away from the rest of them. The man was well built, a warrior without doubt, wearing a fine suit of blood red plate armor with a dragon embossed upon his breastplate.

“Your Majesty,” Captain Trenor spoke up, clearing his thought before continuing, “we are investigating the incident and the Dragon Blood Guard are scouring the Imperial palace and grounds. We do know that magic was used to overcome the dungeon guards and affect the escape from the cell. However, we have found no clue as to who it was that aided the prisoner in his escape or where they have gone. The guards were the only ones who witnessed the escape but their memories appear to have been erased.”

The Emperor’s gaze locked on the man while he spoke and as the Captain of his own Imperial Guard gave his brief report it only served to increase his anger. The Emperor himself was an elderly man, yet anyone could see he had been a powerful warrior once and no doubt still was to some degree. Huge muscles bulged as he clenched his fists in anger at this affront to his court.

“So you’re telling me,” the Emperor asked, “that you have no clues as to who is responsible and that they have escaped completely? Is that what you are telling me?” His rage was apparent and it caused even the battle hardened Captain of the Dragon Blood Guard to cringe and take an involuntary step backwards.

“Yes, My Lord,” the Captain managed to stammer, “we have found no trace of them and believe they used magic to escape the grounds. They … could be anywhere by now. However… the Court Magical Advisor is examining the scene and will report on whether or not there is any trace of where… ”

The Captain was cut short by the banging open of the main doors leading to the Great Hall, causing everyone to look up to see if relief had arrived to redirect the Emperor’s growing rage. The Captain sighed a little in relief seeing an elderly man walking quickly across the large floor towards the dais.

The man appeared ancient for a human, average height with a mane of long white hair and a flowing white beard, he walked quickly showing no apparent sign of his advanced age and carried a long staff but he did not lean upon it for support. His blue robes were of fine craftsmanship and bordered with gold, and about his neck hung a large jeweled medallion which had to be worth a small fortune. He walked up through the men, who parted the way for him, and stopped at the base of the dais and gave a short nod to the Emperor.

“Your Majesty,” he said in firm authoritative voice, one which seemed to command respect, “I have finished my investigation and am here to report.”

The Emperor looked down at the man and remained silent for a moment, then not hearing anything he asked angrily, “Well? What did you find YeOlde?”

YeOlde, Royal Advisor of Magic and Arcana to the Imperial Court, smiled slightly at the Emperor’s impatience and nodded his head again in response to the question.

“Magic was used to render the guards unconscious and to remove all memory of the escape,” he began, “it was also used to provide egress from the dungeon itself. Once outside the prisoner and his accomplices affected escape from Kalatar using magical means. Unfortunately, I could find no trace of evidence to their identity … whoever it was is very powerful and quite skilled.” The old mage smiled and shrugged his shoulders in resignation of his failure to find anything that would appease the Emperor.

The Emperor screamed out his rage and clenched his fists so hard the bones in his hands crackled so loud it was audible to all in the room. He started to pace again his rage spilling from him like rain from a thunderstorm until finally he stopped and seemed to slowly calm himself. He stepped back to his throne and fell into it, closed his eyes and then took a deep breath to calm himself. After a few moments he opened his eyes and looked upon the scared nobles before him.

He suspected that someone had aided the mage Darius to escape, that someone could be in this very room. The man had been sentenced to death for treason and crimes against the Empire; being a powerful mage he probably had powerful friends and no one her was above suspicion. Yet he had no proof of anyone’s involvement in the man’s crimes, he had named no accomplices to his actions and had plead guilty to everything he had been charged with at his trial. It had been as if the man wanted to die; but if so why then the elaborate escape and who was responsible.

“Very well,” the Emperor finally spoke, “continue the investigation Captain. I want everyone questioned again. This escape could not have succeeded without inside help and I want anyone who might be involved interrogated thoroughly. Dismissed!”

The assembled nobles bowed, turned and left the room as quickly as they could without running; anything to get out of the gaze of an angry Emperor. Once the doors closed behind them the Emperor looked up and saw YeOlde still standing where he had been and raised an eyebrow.

“You have something else to report Wizard?” He asked in a calmer voice.

“Nothing certain,” YeOlde said with a shrug, “just a hunch really. I don’t think we will find anything here to lead us to Darius and his accomplishes. By now he is no doubt long gone and secluded away in some well protected lair which even my scrying attempts can not penetrate.”

Sensing the old wizard was trying to tell him something, the Emperor asked, “I sense you have a suggestion for me then?”

“Yes,” the wizard said with a small smile, “I suggest you don’t waste too many resources on searching for this man. I suggest that you put out a general reward bulletin across the Empire and to all allied nations and if he surfaces then he might be captured or even killed.”

The Emperor’s eyes narrowed a bit at the suggestions from his advisor and raised and eyebrow before asking, “Why is it I sense you know something but are not telling me everything?

“Your Majesty,” YeOlde said slowly with a smile, “you know I would never keep anything involving the court from you…. without good reason.”

The Emperor sat back in his throne looking at the old wizard; he knew that the man was older than he looked and had great knowledge and wisdom which had served the Empire well over the years since he had assumed the throne. Yet he also knew that YeOlde had his own agenda and did things behind the scenes which he considered none of the Emperor’s business.

“Very Well, Royal Advisor,” The Emperor said with a nod, “implement those actions immediately. But I want a full report of all findings before me by noon tomorrow. Pray that Darius the Black stays out of Kalatar and out of my grasp forever or so help me I will kill him with my own hands next we meet.” With a wave of his hand he dismissed the mage.

YeOlde bowed his head, the only reverence he showed the ruler of the court, turned and left the Great Hall and went to handle the commands issued by the Emperor. His mind was filled with thoughts about Darius’s escape and how his accomplishes had expected to get away without the Emperor knowing who had done the deed. If YeOlde hadn’t intervened and aided in their escape he had no doubt that they would all be in the dungeon or dead right now. He hated to keep things from the Emperor but he had to protect her from even her own stupid mistakes. She would get away with this one, but soon he would talk to her and let her explain why she helped one of the deadliest sorcerers in the world escape from a death sentence.

Yes, one day soon he would have Leighanna Valeigha explain her traitorous actions and how she felt about committing treason to the Empire which she served.

World of Garayon
24th YE (Year of the Empire)
Month of Apina
Saluma
Valeigha Estate

A soft chime sounded in the transportation pattern room, announcing the arrival of someone to the entire household; seconds later a beautiful red haired woman with soft Elvin-like features appeared upon the center stone of the transportation floor. Leighanna Valeigha, Ambassador of Kalataria to the Nation of Saluma, had arrived home safely.

The door to the room opened slowly and an elderly man stood there looking at her, seeing who it was he smiled and bowed gracefully to her.

“Welcome Home, Milady!” Marten the head Butler and chief administrator of her estate greeted his employer, “I trust everything went well on your trip.”

Though Leighanna had not told any of her staff about her mission, most knew she was nervous about this trip and probably only worried about her safe return. It wouldn’t do to tell them that she had just helped a condemned criminal escaped from the Imperial Dungeon of the Ruler she served as Ambassador.

“Everything with the estate is in order, Milady!” Marten told her, “though of course your ‘pet’ has been causing the cooks the usual grief when dealing with the baked goods.” His slight smile told her that they were all getting use to her familiar and his usual antics. “I am sure he is sleeping off his latest gorging someplace quiet.”

The thought of her familiar brought a smile to her face; good old Pythagoras, or Pyth as she called him, was relentless in his pursuit of his favorite food – sweet baked goods of any kind. She had to leave him behind on this mission as it was too dangerous and besides she didn’t want him questioning her about the legality and rights and wrongs of helping a man, who had been trying to kill her in the past, escape from a death sentence.

She thought of Darius and how the man had become infatuated with her and how he turned himself in to the Empire to face charges all because he said he loved her. What really worried her about Darius was that he had told her they were very much alike and that he saw the evil that dwelled deep within her. A darkness that had become all too prevalent lately and which she had been trying to repress and master it forever; an ever continuing battle within her own soul.

He had tried to convince her to flee with him, but in the end he had left without her, only Starsona had gone with him to see that he would find his way safely to one of his secret lairs upon any of a dozen worlds. She didn’t even know where they had gone, not wanting to know in case they found out about her involvement and questioned her then she couldn’t reveal his location.

“Are you alright, Milady?” The butler asked, shaking her out of her reverie, “you seem distressed about something. Is there anything I can get you.” His face showed some concern as he waited for her reply.

...they are so easy to hate .. they are always up to something.

As Brom said.. it isnt the players though... purely IC hatred.

Yeah lets get this thing going... the Charon has been getting some action but the Cerebeus has fallen silent. Should have had the Romulans come aboard the Charon first.. then we could have seen some 'interaction'

hmmm... what do they call it? Aggresive negotiations?

Mae got up and followed the others outside figuring that finally they were going to do something. He hated sitting around talking about what they were going to do when they could be doing it. He looked at his skin watch and was amazed that so little time had gone by, it had seemed like they had been talking for hours.

Once outside he listened as Croaker talked of transportation and places to use as a hide out.

Next thing after that is a new place to stay as our time is pretty much up with your buds Bulls Eye. From there once we get a location from Spiff or Scribe we can plan our recon and see what equipment we have to work with. The only place I can come up with is my apartment but if 'they' know who we are that’s a big risk. MDK, you and Lighting are new to this gathering and ‘they’ may not know yet of your involvement, so do either of you have any idea’s?”

Mae thought for a moment and then shrugged to the big Nomad, “My place isn’t big enough for even me, but I will check around and see if their might be anyone I know who has a place we could use for a bit. It might cost though?”

(Any Reply)

Mae nodded then pulling out his cellphone he turned and walked away a bit so he could make a call and the others could continue to talk without them both being distracted.

“You see I believe you might have had something to do with the explosion outside and if you did I need to know who ordered you to attack that ship and why? Tell me that and maybe we can talk a deal.” Si-Di said.

The Arcona's face suddenly hardens. "I'm not sayin' nothin'..."

Si-Di shakes her head sadly at the salt-addicted Arcona, she could tell immediately that he was lying and was now going to play tough with her. Maybe he suspected that her being a female and a Jedi she wouldn’t force any answers from him and he would be right on that account; it was not in her nature.

“Can you tell me what you might have witnessed?” She asked turning to ‘Rok’ once again, “and maybe it would help to understand why you attacked these men in the first place.” She had seen him kick the one Arcona before diving in their direction when they have first entered the cantina. This man seemed reluctant to answer questions, probably thought it best to stay out of business that was not his own.

Look, Guild security!" someone in the cantina says.

Si-Di turns to see two security men, dressed in bright red with gold trimming, a Twi'lek and a Duros, carrying blaster rifles enter the cantina along with a person who appears to be their leader, a Trandoshan female.

"Attention, patronsss," she announces, "I am Susska, Chief of Ssecurity for the Dathu Mining Guild. I am here to inquire as to whether or not any of you have any information about the destruction of that transsit ship."

Si-Di is about to address the Mining Guild Security Chief when ‘Rok’ spoke up cutting her off.

Greetings Susska." the words rolled off his tongue without the slightly reservation, "Name's Rok, and I believe the one you're looking for is right here." Rok gestured at the Arcona,

Before the Trandoshan Security Chief can speak, Si-Di steps up and has her say about the matter.

“I am Si-Di, I have come here as a representative of the Republic and the Jedi Council to negotiate proceedings between the Mining Guild and the Union.” She gestures with a delicate wave of her hand towards the window where they can see the remains of the transport ship.

“My Master was killed by an explosion aboard that ship when we landed,” she continued hiding the grief she felt inside at his loss, “I believe this Arcona and another accomplice who fled this establishment might know something about the explosion.”

She looks down at the tied up Arcona for a second then back to the Security Chief, “I have detained this man for questioning in this matter under the authority given to me by the Republic and the Jedi Council.”

Looking the Security Chief in the eyes she adds firmly, “When I am done with my questioning, and I have consulted Administrator Namor, I will release this man to your custody for further interrogation.”

Her tone was firm and her belief in her authority was absolute; her Master had been killed and she would do what she could to find those responsible and complete the mission which was entrusted to her upon her Master’s demise.

“Now,” Si-Di continues, “If you would please have someone examine the wreckage of the ship for evidence and also if they find any remains of a Jedi Master among the dead, please secure it and notify me at once…. Thank you!”

She stands waiting for the woman’s reply, assured that the Security Chief will follow proper procedures in this matter. Master Allum had always instructed her to take charge in any negotiations, it let everyone know who was in command and enforced their authority over the dispute; she intended to follow his example.

(OOC: I know she doesn’t know about what happened in the alley with the others and how the other Arcona was killed by the Union Guards, but she is already suspicious of everyone and protective of her captive and if they attempt to take or kill her prisoner her force sense should alert her in time to stop any rash actions . I hope . )

I have returned as well.. I will post something here tonight...

I was hoping that 'Rok' would tell Si-Di something about what he saw before the security troops arrived since he had plenty of time.. but since there is no mention of him telling her anything.. I will have to assume he is keeping his mouth shut to stay out of it... typical Scoundrel

I will post something later tonight... sorry to have delayed things.. hopefully we can get this going again.
