Subject: Decision Time

“Children,” Anya says softly when they pause to take a breath. She doesn’t address them thusly to insult them, but out of kindness for to the eye she does appear to be the oldest one of those in the cabin.

“Listen to me.. Your plans to train the people, gather an army, seek out allies are all well and good,” she says shaking her head, “but you will not have time for all that right now.”

Gesturing to the map on the Table, “Keep the map.. I have no further need of it." She sits back and sighs softly.

“You would find either course difficult to impossible,” Anya says knowingly, “You are outsiders here and with the paranoia from the recent attacks most people would fear you all. The towns all have mayors, some of which I have learned are actually in league with the Dark One and others would not trust you.. The villagers and towns people already know to flee when trouble approaches.. If there is time. You must understand that your group consists of a Dwarf and two Elves and most people around here have not seen your find even in their lifetimes. You would be treated with the utmost suspicion and even believed to be agents of the Dark One. No… the people must help themselves.”

Reaching over the map she points to the Dark Haven, “this is the home of the Dark One himself, he has a place deep within this foreboding forest and has warped it to his whim. It is a very dangerous place, one in which none of you would survive, “ She says with such finality that you feel it is the truth.

She moves her finger to the Gray Peaks, “Here is where you must go.. This is where the forces of the Dark One are massing… here is where you must do battle with the Leader of those forces.”

Sitting back she pauses for a moment, closing her eyes in thought. When she opens them they can see the intensity in her gaze.

“Now listen to me, “she says commandingly, “there is a reason the forces of the Dark One has waited in the Uplands for almost 50 years. He was waiting, searching, for a great power that lies buried under the Great Peaks. Long ago, when this world was young, there were great stones of power that some say the gods themselves wielded with impunity. Some of these stones were held by the Gods of Righteousness, and others by the Gods of Evil. A great battle was fought here, before man, dwarf or elf had ever set foot upon the land. One of the stones, belonging to an Evil one was lost in the battle and fell to Garayon where it vanish from all knowing. The Dark One came here 50 years ago because he believes that the stone that fell is buried somewhere under the Gray Peaks. That is why he stopped there and why the dwarves were driven out, so that he could have his minions dig in search of the stone.”

Anya sighed with seeming effort of telling her story.

“Now he is close to finding that stone and with it he will use it to take all of Tremoria and maybe even all of Garayon itself. Oh, he will not wield it himself, for any mortal can not fully control such an item for long, it will warp thmem and eventually destroy them, no he will use one of his creature to wield it and lead his army across the lowlands destroying all in their path. This stone is powerful beyond imagining and no army no matter how great will be able to stand against it.”

She looks at the group gauging their response to this before she takes a deep breath to continue.

“The only hope you will have in this battle is to go to the Gray Peaks, find the stone, find the leader of the Dark One’s army and destroy it before he learns how to use it. Even if they find it, it will take some time to attune themselves to the stone, time to master it. You must stop that from happening. Otherwise, we are all doomed.”

“Now,” she says after a pause to let you think a minute, “you must decide if this is a mission you are willing to undertake. I wont lie to you, it will be very dangerous and probably some of you will not make it back alive, and I know that you have been brought here against your will but ultimately the choice is still yours. Those of you that decide to go, I will tell them what I can of the foes you will encounter as well as answer any of your other questions.”

Subject: The Tale...

Once the healing was finished the woman asked them to sit for a spell. Billy looked at her and replied with a wink, "Well now how can I refuse a request to sit for a 'spell' from a spell weaver?" I hate to sound needy but could you perhaps take a look at my side? It still hurts a bit after our fight with the horse-things. The healer woman in teh village near ours always had a smelly slave that made it feel better. Sometimes she gave me a jar to take with me. Not sure if she was being extra nice or just wanted me and my clumsy self out of her house as long as possible."

The old woman chuckled at Billy’s comments as she reached into the cupboard again and came out with a small metal tin. She came over to him and looked at his side; clucking her tongue she handed him the tin, “A big strong man like you complaining about this scratch?” Handing him the tin, “Here put some of this one it and it will be healed in no time,” she says as she turns to the others. When he opens the tin inside he will find what he could swear is the same smelly salve he had seen in the past.

Siliwen signed in relief and turns to BIlly and Thor. "He seems to be sleeping normally now. That rigidity is gone."

She looked up to the old woman having heard her words and those had raised many questions in her.

"We all Thank you for what you have done for our companion. However you seem to have the advantage over us. You know something about our arrival to this place. We do not know where we are or how we got her though we know small tidbit about why we are here. You said you sensed our coming." Siliwen stops suddenly remembering her manners.

Oh, I am sorry. My name is Siliwen, my companions are Alea, here," she gestures to Alea first and then others as she introduces them. "Thor, is the Dwarf, Billy is then big one and our wounded companions is Riddle. By what name do you go by." Siliwen asks politely. more things are accomplished with a please than a loud voice or a sword her mother always quoted and so it was Siliwen had learned that watching her father when she traveled with him of diplomatic missions.

"Your invitation to rest is most appreciated but we really need to learn more about where this is, who is the Master , What are the Na'sir and if anything why are we here in this place?" SiIliwen looks the old woman in the eyes. "What can you tell us, if you please?" Siliwen adds that magic word.

“My… you do have a lot of questions,” The old woman says with a smile, she nods knowingly, “as I was sure that you would.”

“For starters.. you can call me Anya.”

Anya rises and walks over to the bed and checks on Riddle, reaching out a hand she rests it gently for a moment on his forehead. She turns back to the group then smiles, “I will try to answer what I can,” she says softly, “but I doubt it will be enough.”

Making himself as comfortable as he can and with many questions of his own especially about what she meant when she said “I sensed your arrival and hoped you would visit.” Right now however Siliwen had asked the healer several good questions to which Thor will sit and wait to here the answers to these before he raises anymore questions.

"I thank you for your comformation," Alea nodded to the Wise One. "Corellon leant me his Divine Grace in our battle with the Na'sir. Unfortunately I am new to his service and did not have to ability to channel the type of healing power needed to counteract poisons. So I could do nothing for Riddle beside close up his wound."

Alea stays close if needed and sits when a place is offered. She takes in the smells of the small cabin, sitting in here sent a rush of green through her as she tried to make out the different scents of the herbs and spices assembled around her. It was euphoric, a flooding sense of health and well being.

The Wise One was a master herbalist.

“Yes.. some times the gods don’t always give you what you want,” Anya said to Alea, “but most of the time they give you what you need.” She grins as she sets down and sighs.

“Well as to your other questions,” she begins, “Let me tell you a story that might help you to understand the situation.”

“I don’t know from what world you hail but I can tell you that you are no longer upon that world. This here is Garayon, an ancient world that over the centuries has become quite civilized as worlds go… and this is the Island Nation of Tremoria; a very large island indeed. It is separate from the rest of Garayon with its own government apart from the Empire that rules the largest continent. But Tremoria is like a lot of secluded parts of the world… more susceptible to being overrun with evil.”

Anya chuckles and waves a hand dismissively, “Oh I don’t mean the whole place here is evil…there are a lot of good folks here but there is an evil upon the land that threatens Tremoria and if it is not stopped maybe one day the whole world.”

“About 50 years ago.. The Dark One came… he laid siege to a large portion of this land and for awhile he was content with his domain. Since it was a harsh land where nothing good would grow and far from the established cities.. there wasn’t much of a complaint when he took it and stopped his conquest there. Not much was known about The Dark One in those days, he came from across the sea with a vast force of creatures no one had ever seen before. Monsters like the Nas’ir, the Shelnak, the Kree.. and others. Horrors to the people, they killed thousands.” Anya had a look in her eyes that spoke of her own visions of those horrible times.

Shaking her head to clear those visions she went on, “When he stopped at the border of the Uplands..leaving the lower lands to the people.. most were happy to just live and stay away from the evil. But within the last couple of years, the Dark One’s minions have began to make their way to the lowlands.. killing and pillaging once more. The high government of Tremoria can do little to help those on the fringes.. places like Northpoint. It is only harassing raids now but soon it will be worse.. and towns like Northpoint here will cease to exist.”

She gets up and ambles over to a desk and opening a drawer she draws out a rolled parchment. Bringing it back to one of the larger tables, she pushed some of the things aside and unrolls the parchment (approx. 12”x15”) revealing a crudely draw map. (Download map here if you like:
Tremoria Map )

Tremoria

“Here is Northpoint,” she says pointing it out at the top of the map, “at the far north end of the Island.”

Anyone with a decent intelligence (leave that up to you to decide if your character fits this classification) should be able to realize that if the Sea you saw when you arrive was indeed North and not South as you would have thought, then the sun this morning rose in the West. This being contrary to your past experience, plus the two moons you all saw last night, will definitely confirm Anya’s remark about this not being on your own world.

“This map is crude and only shows towns and cities,” She shrugs, “you will find numerous villages scattered around the island that are not listed on this map.”

“Here are the Uplands,” she points to the western part of the Island which looks raise on the map, “this is where Evil lies.”

“The Gray Peaks,” pointing at what looks like mountains in the middle of the rise between the Uplands and Lowlands, “is where your kind dwelt,” Looking at Thor sadly. “Unfortunately when the Dark One took the Uplands he claimed the Gray Peaks as well,” they can hear sadness in her voice, “the dwarves all retreated to the Peaks to defend their homes…. They haven’t been heard from in almost 50 years and it is feared they were all destroyed.”

Pointing to the Southwest edge of the Island they see what looks like a large forest, “This is Elvan’dur.. home of the elves,” Anya says looking at Alea and Siliwen, “They have withdrawn to their forest and sealed it’s borders to all outsiders.. as far as I can tell they are safe there and not even the Dark One’s minions will venture into those woods.” She smiled.

“The human population cover the rest of the Lowlands.. and are scattered all about … though most will stay in or close to the cities now that the evil is loose upon the land. Northpoint has been lucky so far.. and this group of Nas’ir you speak of are the first to venture this far North. No doubt I was not the only one to feel your arrival.”

Anya sat down leaving the map unrolled on the table as she looked at the group. “I cant say for sure,” she began, “but it is my belief that you were brought here by the gods.. or at least one of them… to combat the Dark One and stop his advance into the lowlands.”

“I do know that the evil forces are massing near the Gray Peaks,” She says sounding pretty confident of her words, “and soon they will march to the lowlands and destroying anything in their path. The armies of Tremoria are not large and they will be used to defend the major cities leaving the towns and villages of people overrun”

Anya looks at each of them in turn before speaking again, “I believe that you have been brought here to stop them before they start to invade the lands.” She waits for further questions and comments from them; knowing that what she has told them sounds like an impossible task for such a small group.

Subject: The Cabin...

Siliwen moves forward once the group sees the cabin. “ Thank you Billy and Thor, but I would like to try first as one user of magic to another and as a female.” Siliwen steps forward until she is about ten feet from the door.

"Wise One, we need your help. Our friend was poison by a Nas’ir’s kick. We know not what to do for him. He must survive, it so crucial to our mission. By the powers that bind us, all I say is true and time is of the essence." All-be-it their unknown mission, she thinks, sighs and waits for a response.

The glade is quiet for a few long seconds then the door to the cabin opens and someone steps into the doorway to look up the group. The party looks upon a old human woman, her age is hard to tell as she looks to be anywhere from 60-90. She is dressed in a plain homespun dress of brown with green leaves of some kind sown into the shoulders. Her hair is long, shockingly white and wild looking. She squints out into the clearing her grey eyes taking in the scene.

“Well..” she says, her voice soft and frail sounding, “..Wise one eh?” She grins slightly then adds, “You must not be from around here I take it.”

She steps out of the cabin and approaches the group slowly with a slight limp. She doesn’t seem afraid of them, just slow in movement. She approaches Billy who is still holding Riddle’s still form.

“Nas’ir you say?” She says as she looks at Riddle and reaches out a hand and touches his face.

Nodding she turns back to the cabin, “Bring him inside and I can help him.”

She pauses at the doorway and looks at Billy and Thor knowingly, “Don’t worry, I’m a healer and besides I am much to small to hurt this behemoth.” She gestures with her head at Billy and chuckles.

“Come on..he doesn’t have much time.” Turning she goes inside the cabin.

(Assuming all of the party enters the cabin)

Upon entering the cabin they find that most of the interior is filled with herbs, plants, strange colored woods, covering most horizontal surfaces. Vines climb up the walls leaving on the doorway, windows, and fireplace free. A small fire burns in the small fireplace on the right. A bed lies against the back wall; one of the few surfaces not dotted with things.

“Lay your friend on the bed, “ the old woman says as she goes to a cupboard and looks through jars filled with various colored liquids.

Once Riddle is laid on the bed she comes over and gestures at Billy, “Get out of the way you big lummox!” She points over by the window, “Why don’t you and the dwarf stand over there out of the way.”

Turning to Siliwen and Alea, “You two love ladies come help me.”

When they come over she them over with an appraising eye, “I sense power in you two,” she says softly and holding her gaze on Alea she adds, “Never fear, Corellion will aid you.. even when you are far from home.” She nods and hands the jar to Siliwen.

“Take that and slowly give him a couple of sips,” she directs her, “but stand ready to hold him as he may have a violent reaction.”

Gesturing to Alea she says, “You help hold him down… it wont take long.”

(Assuming they follow directions)

After Siliwen pours a few drops past his lips, Riddle suddenly starts to convulse violently but the tremors last only a few seconds and the two of them are able to hold him down. He stops trembling and lies still, he takes a deep breath and then closes his eyes and sleeps.

“There,” the old woman says as she takes the jar from Siliwen and closing it puts it back in the cupboard, “He will rest now while the we get acquainted.”

Turning back to the four of them she smiles, “I sensed your arrival in the area and was hoping you would find cause to visit me.” She grins at their, no doubt, surprised faces. “Don’t worry yourself big guy,” she says to Billy, “I am not a witch despite what others may have told you.”

She moves about the cabin and drags out some stools, moving planters or boxes of greenery from them and gestures for the group to sit. “Please, rest yourselves for a spell,” she says softly, “He will be out for at least an hour.”

She looks upon them and waits for any questions she is sure they will have for her.

Night City – Hari Kiri (Sushi Bar) - Thursday, March 12th, 2020, 2035hrs

The sushi bar was slow tonight but what could one expect it was a Thursday. It would be packed tomorrow night no doubt. Only a handful of patrons scattered about the tables and booths. One patron sat alone at a corner booth chosen no doubt for it’s magnificent view of the entire room. The booth’s occupant seemed to be concentrating on his food but if one looked closely enough they could see he was watching the room carefully.

The man was of asian descent with black shoulder-length hair pulled back into a single tail. His clothing was high grade leather armored, from the pants, to the long duster he wore; and all in black. His eyes were covered with black mirrored shades even in the gloom of the restaurant. Under the table, not visible to the other patrons, was a large caliber handgun resting in a long quick draw holster on his left hip. Anyone looking at him would recognize a dangerous man, a solo no doubt, one not to F*** with.

The lone dark man’s dinner consisted of a couple of tuna and octopus nigirizushi (small rice balls with the meat laying on top), a single tuna onigiri (cooked rice wrapped in nori seaweed), a bowl of Yakisoba (deep fried noodles with vegetables and ginger), and a pot of Gyohuro green tea.

A low ringing sound came from the man’s booth, he stopped eating and pulled out his cellphone, “Talk to me,” he said in a moderate sounding but low voice. He listened for several seconds then nodded to himself, “Ok.. Keep me informed.” He hung up and slipped his head back in his duster.

‘It’s got to work out soon.’ Mae thought to himself as he went back to eating. Mae Do Kwang, known on the streets as MDK, his initials but also short for Murder-Death-Kill as some people called him, was indeed a solo; at the moment an unemployed solo. The call had not been good news. He had put out the word on the street that he was looking for work. The call had been about a possible job but there had been no decision yet, so he waited. He hoped it would be too long, he still had cash but it wouldn’t last long. He would have to find work soon or starve.

He glanced up from his meal as a couple of men came in the door. Suits, corporate types, he watched them head to a private room off to the side. Corporate, now there was some work no doubt, and the pay was great too. He shook his head at the idea, he hated the Megacorps, he would rather starve then work for them, but the pay was good.

He glanced down at the top of his right wrist at the Skinwatch just beneath the skin. Seeing the time he took the last couple bites and down the last of his tea. Getting up he glanced around the room as he headed towards the register, he paid using his Credchip and giving the room one last stare before leaving he stepped out into the night. He wanted to head over to a bar down the street, a solo hangout, especially ones that were looking for work; who knew he might get lucky there.

Night City – The Afterlife Bar- Hades Room - Thursday, March 12th, 2020, 2100hrs

Entering the Hades Room he paused and scanned the room; his shaded eyes meeting most of the other men’s eye in this place. It was almost like the old vids where before a gun fight the combatants would try to psych out each other before the killing started. With all the killing talent in this room, it was inevitable that a staring contest would begin. Usually this would start a fight, but here everyone kind of expected it and knew it was a status thing, just something that had to be done.

Mae moved into the room glancing around at everyone as he moved towards an empty booth. The place had many booths against the wall, solos always wanted a wall at their back; it just made sense. Settling into the booth facing the room he grabbed the arm of the first serving girl walking by and ordered a drink. She started to complain about being manhandled but he stared at her impassively and she decided to keep her mouth shut. She was experienced and knew the ones that just might be a little over the edge; the ones that might just kill you for saying the wrong thing.

While he waited for his drink he scanned the room; activating the image enhancement in his right eye. By the time his drink arrived, he had noted all those that had a optimum angle on his position and therefore would be the most threat if anything went down.

He didn’t expect trouble here, the Afterlife bar was a place where solos came to hang out and share stories and to be in like company. Anyone starting trouble here would soon find themselves staring down the barrels of many, many guns. Probably a reason no boosters ever came in here and tried to rob it; boosters were psycho but not suicidal.

He sipped his drink and thought of the last few days; laying around his coffin motel had worn thin real quick. He got out and hit the streets when he could looking for work, hits, protection, whatever paid. His luck had not been good. There had been leads but so far nothing had panned out.

He thought of his cell phone conversation earlier today with Lightning, the Techie he had worked with in the past. He had let Light know that he was looking for a job and if the Tech had anything going to get in touch with him if he needed some protection. Lightning had said he would be in touch. That was what everyone had said.

He knew the Techie though and didn’t think the man would jerk him around; he suspected that the man was a little afraid of Mae. Lightning had seen him in action and surely had no doubt of Mae’s ability to kill and inflict pain and just because they had worked together in the past didn’t mean he was safe from the Solo’s ire. Mae kind of liked the Tech, if he liked anyone that is. He had few, what you would call friends, but he would consider Lightning to be in that exclusive group. Mae hoped something would come up, he sort of liked the idea of working with the Techie again; he was good at the Tech stuff and a solo always found that handy to have around when the chips were down.

Mae spent couple hours sitting around drinking, moving through the room and talking to a few other Solos he knew, asking about work. But at the end of the night he didn’t have anything more then when he came in. Checking the time he decided to head back to his motel before it got too late. Being out after midnight wasn’t a good thing if you didn’t have business. The local cops tended to stop people that looked like they were up to something; a lone armed man out after midnight they usually considered a prime suspect to something. He didn’t need any flak from the law right now so he thought is best to head back to his motel and get some rest; one never knew when a job might suddenly come up.

Night City – Alley off of High Street - Thursday, March 12th, 2020, 2340hrs

Leaving the Afterlife bar, he made his way up High Street in the direction of his little motel. It wasn’t nothing but a cheap coffin motel but it was what he could afford right now. He couldn’t wait to get some work and get into some better digs; speaking of which he looked up at the building he was passing by at the moment. He looked at the large well lit sign ‘Camden Court’. He knew the place by reputation; high security, high rent condos favored by Solos and Corporates. He thought he deserved that type of living and one day he would have it.

He ducked down an alley that was a shortcut to his motel, and before he had taken a dozen steps he knew he made the wrong decision. He saw them before they stepped out of the shadows, the Lowlite enhancement in his right optic gave them away. He looked them over carefully as they stepped out of the shadows and started whistling and hooting.

“What we got here?” one of the boys said. They were four boys, age 14-18 he would guess. Boosters and if he recognized the colors and tattoos they belonged to the Metal Warriors.

“I don’t know,” answered another boy, “looks like someone is lost.” He chuckled as the four boys moved to surround Mae. He scanned them for weapons, seeing they were armed only with scratchers and wearing light armored jackets. Probably use to robbing locals for petty cash.

“You best be on home boys,” Mae said softly as his right hand slung the right side of his duster back to reveal his low slung holster and heavy pistol, “before you get hurt.” He grinned slightly hoping he could scare them off as he didn’t really feel in the mood to kill kids at this hour.

The four paused seeing the gun and looked at one another, the eldest boy, probably 18 years old, yelled at the others, “GET HIM! The four boys surrounding him all rushed him at slightly different times.

Mae’s .44 Automag cleared his holster in a quick draw and fired from the hip twice at the two boys to his right. One large caliber bullet caught the first attacking boy in the gut just below his armored jacket and flung him back into garbage cans where he lay screaming. The other bullet caught the second boy square in the nose where the top of his head blossomed out in a spray of dark fluid and his nearly headless body flopped to the cold wet stone.

Mae felt something rack across the back of his duster but the puny scratcher wouldn’t penetrate his heavy armored Iron America duster. He reacted instantly to the attack by kicking backwards with a dwi chagi (back kick); the heel of his black Ruf Tred armored boot catching the boy solidly in the throat crushing his windpipe instantly and throwing him back to lie gasping for breath on the ground.

The last boy’s attack caught Mae on his bandana that hung around his neck. In the neck the scratcher might have caused some serious damage, maybe even ripped out a jugular. But the armored black bandana deflected the thin fingernail blades from doing any harm.

Mae recovered from his back kick by dropping down and performed a low bandae dollyo chagi (reverse roundhouse heel kick) sweeping the boys feet out from under him and dropping him hard on his back stunning the boy for a few seconds. Before the boy can recover Mae dropped down on his knee on the boys chest driving his knee into the boys throat. The boy struggled as the weight of the large man slowly crushed his throat cutting off his air.

The boys struggles slowly fade; Mae reached up with his left hand taking off his black mirrored shades and looked into the boys eyes with is own two chromed orbs. He continued to watch the boy, the oldest one, until he stopped moving when the sound of his neck breaking echoed down the alley.

Getting to his feet, Mae holstered his gun and looked around at the bodies; all were still now. He straightened his duster and put his shades back on as he started up the alley towards his motel. Mae didn’t feel any regrets at killing the boys, he had given them a chance and they hadn’t taken it. He figured it was best since these boys would only have went on to terrorize or kill other innocent locals. It was his public service for the day.

Night City – The Mortuary (Coffin Motel) - Thursday, March 12th, 2020, 2358hrs

He arrived back at his motel and cleaned up a bit in the rest room before heading to his ‘room’. His small coffin-like cubicle where he would sleep not far from the other poor souls like himself. Sliding into his bed he locked the door and drawing his gun he set it next to him. He lay there staring at the ceiling for a few moments. Thinking not about the boys he had just killed, but about whether tomorrow he would hear from Lightning or someone about work; this laying around was getting very boring.

..guess we agree that Lightning and MDK know one another.

If Brom gets some kind of intro for us by tomorrow we can go with that.. if he doesnt have time maybe we can set something up ourselves and post in the game thread events just prior to the ones the others are posting now.

We can assume that these two have worked together before on another job. My solo is currently between jobs and looking for work, I assume that wont last long. Hopefully we will both get the same call to action.

If you have any ideas Drakar, throw them out there for me. You can PM me if you would like to keep things between us for now.

thanks for the link Brom, I searched today and found something similar to this one. This should help me set the scene.

Have fun on your vacation Brom, dont worry about us. RL is more important.

I wouldnt mind if my character was friends with another. If Lightning doesnt mind being friends with a solo then let me know whether you want to partner up or not.

No problems here mate... I jsut read the first part of your long post and didnt see any 'if' clauses there so assumed he was still going to eat... the ifs didnt come in till the later part of the post which I didnt use because they didnt apply because the party was going to be leaving.

Either way it didnt matter. If you notice in my post the barkeep said the dwarf should stay if he was hungry but if you look down further in my post I never singled anyone out from going. I left it open because I was sure the dwarf would tag along once he found out they had to leave right away.

So no problems either way. You could have left your earlier post it didnt matter.

Brom,

The character is great! Man that is alot of history! He was just what I had in mind and more! Thanks for making that up for me.

I am sure I will have questions as I get into using the stuff he has but for now most of it seems clear.

I will keep an eye out for the introduction and will hope to have a post shortly after that. I may be a bit slow getting into this genre but I think one I get rolling I will not disappoint you.

Subject: battle over... or is it?

Vatta rose from gathering what useful arrows she could find and is she finds ones that are Xuor markings she will offer him those. Any others she finds or hers or the enemies, she will put in her quiver. After that she stripped what useful or valuable items she could from the large orc leader; she would look it over later and offer anything to the others she thinks they might be able to use, weapons and such.

(Please let me know if she found any arrows that are still useable and what she might have found on the orc leader)

When the Goblins come rushing out of the forest she draws her sword and dagger and stands ready, but she is relieved to see the pursuing riders running them down. She relaxes slightly but remains on guard as she moves back towards her horse which was staked out safely by the tree from which she was fighting.

She chuckles slightly at Highnar’s words to the woman in charge of the riders but she remains silent and lets the others deal with the newcomers. She listens to Brianna’s explanation and knows that nothing else needs to be said so she stows anything she found on the leader on her mount. She checks her horse and spends a minute adjusting the harness and saddle as she keeps and eye on the newcomers waiting to see if there is going to be further trouble.

If all looks like it is going well, she will sheath her weapons and mount up and when the others are ready she will follow them out of this clearing of death. She will of course stay close to Cerric offering him a reassuring smile.

Topic: So who was your first?
Subject: my first character?

Lets see… my first D&D character was in 1976 under the original D&D game (the 3 book set) he was a basic fighter whose name I cant remember. He died after a few hours of play, so I made up another and jumped right back in. Character creation was simple in those days.

My oldest character who lived would be a wizard named YeOlde (hence the handle) he was made under the ADnD 1st edition about 1978 and continued through until he retired and eventually became an NPC in my campaign world.

Another one of my ADnD characters whom I use as an NPC is the current Emperor of a Country on my world. Those two are the oldest surviving characters from way back when.

TRAVELLER? OMG!

I loved that game and still have my traveler books in storage. Back in the 80s when tabletop RPGs were everywhere, I played just about everything back then. I sure do miss the table top play. :-/

Subject: Still considering...

I got the character sheet and have been going through the rule book.. man their is a lot of stuff... all of which I am unfamiliar with right now.

I have the character idea I am going for I just have to look through all the options and things to see if I can put it on paper. The character creation in this game seems more difficult than any other game I have seen before.. all the strange abilities.. life events.. cybernetics... I havent had alot of time lately to work on this so it may be some time before I iron the character out.

I will contact you with any questions.
