Okies good to hear.

Well it's not good to hear that you're rushed off your feet, but you know what I mean.

Any news on the update?

I have to confess to being a little worried about the game slowing down, which I hate since I love the game really.

Hehe, yes I can see the whole Young Conservative-Revolutionary Anarchist thing there.

II look forward to reading the blog. I think WFRP is the best hack and slash system there is, simply because combat is hilariously fun (and with most systems combat can get a little dull).

I'm game to give it a go. I'd love to reprise Vaela P'Tammah, as I never really did do much with her beyond the odd cursory post.

I'm afraid I don't know anything about the rule system though.

Topic: Forgotten Realms: The Unsung Heroes
Subject: No need for apologies

Violet eyes narrowed to regard the hand that had been thrust before them, and the woman to which it belonged. She was dressed simply, and her round, full figure seemed completely at odds with the lithe, supple form of most drow.

‘Bronwyn,’ Aelistae recalled. She remembered the blind panic that had been writ across the woman’s face when they had first met. And even still the human betrayed her unease through her strained smile and the nervous shuffling of her feet. ‘But at least she’s tried,’

“Thankyou,” Aelistae voiced to the woman with a smile, and slowly entwined her dark, sable hand around hers. “And there’s no need to apologize. Most of my kind would be deserving of your suspicion.”

“But,” Aelistae added, “hopefully now not all will.”

The drow priestess shook the woman’s hand softly, before withdrawing it so that she could exchange the black cloak she currently wore, for the green that Bart had provided.

Looking forward to the update.

As for the belt, Aelistae's a finesse fighter so it wouldn't be much use to her. Not sure if others would have use for it or not.

Glad the maps were ok. I can change them as the keep gets furnished etc.

I was chatting to Tek on msn, which is why I know he's intending to pull out.

As for the loot, well from an ic perspective Artanis and Intella have left before they could get their share. And Brownywn and Elendil deserve something, even if its not equal to what the others received. If they want to refuse any share then that's alright.

If we add in Talus' ring and Aelistae's armour to the loot pile (and selling them at 50% of its worth), that'll leave a grand total of 15725. Which will leave 2620 each, and 1310 for Elendil and Bronwyn.

Might as well add Aelistae's old armour too if we're going down that route.

So how many ways will that loot be divided given that Tek, Dwibius and DA's characters are leaving the game?

I figure maybe 6 ways? One for each player and a half share for DM and Bri? Or do we give everyone a full share?

Topic: Sojourn in Middle Earth
Subject: ...

Just realized I never got around to concluding this. So I'll do it now.

The game ended on turn 17 (the day after my previous post). And not only did the Free People win, but the Sinda Elves were ranked as the top nation (yay!).

The final standings for the Sinda Elves were as follows:
Population Center Victory Points : 500
Character Victory Points : 450
Army Victory Points : 450
Wealth Victory Points : 100
Individual Victory Points : 0
The One Ring was still lost @ 2022

(The maximum number of points in each category is 500. With descending number of points being awarded in relation to how the nations are ranked.)

And the top 3 nations were:
Sinda Elves [ 1500 ] Noldo Elves [ 1383 ] Corsairs [ 1225 ]

I had some fantastic characters at the end of the game. Since the game ended a long time ago I don't need to hide their names. The full list was as follows (the ones with asterisks were starting characters):

Aducair - 62 agent with 65 stealth. (had the artifact Bracers of the Mist)
Aelistae - 61 emissary
Amroth* - 74 commander; 29 emissary (with the artifact Orc Slayer)
Arwen - 10 commander; 24 agent
Brand - 10 agent; 72 emissary (with the artifact Turantir)
Ginafae - 53 agent
Haldir - 46 commander
Ithilwen - 30 agent
Lanthir* - 48 commander; 33 mage (with the artifact Dagger of Green Wisdom)
Legolas - 60 agent
Mithrellas - 62 emissary
Nimrodel* - 31 emissary; 110 mage (with the artifacts Thologaer Ciryatano and E Mere Vardo)
Ohtar* - 72 commander; 15 agent
Ringlin* - 90 mage (with the arty Orb of Seeing)
Taurnil* - 44 commander; 25 agent (with the arty Troll Slayer)
Tharudan* - 62 agent; 50 mage with 40 stealth (and arty Helm of Shadow)
Thranduil* - 63 commander; 48 emissary (with the arty Dagnirdraug)
Vaelarin - 54 agent

Basically thanks to the emissaries and some military action I had a big increase in the tax base of the nation. I lost 1 village from the starting population centres, but gained 1 major town; 9 villages and 6 camps. It basically allowed for the Sindar to be a major power militarily.

The only slight regret was that I never had a chance to use the forces I built up. There was a large heavy cavalry army outside Mordor that never saw battle, and in Belfalas I never had a chance to use the 56 warships, 17 transports and 2000 heavy infantry in a planned naval invasion of Harad.

Still it was a good and fun time.

PS. I'm the Quiet Avengers in a another game. I didn't see the point in creating a blog for that since most of the things I'm doing or have done with that nation have had to be kept secret. I might post something after that game is complete.

Getting some magical weapons is probably a good idea for us all. It would have required a silvered weapon, though, to harm that werewolf.

I'm ok with the loot as its divided. It'd be good to know if there's any gold to divide too, since Aelistae would like to spend some.

I've just about finished drawing up the outline of the Keep, and putting in a few odd touches (doors, stables etc.).

I'll email the ground floor of the keep and the individual rooms to you when I'm done, Kaelyn.

I started working on drawing up the keep in dundjinni, and, somewhat surprisingly, the keep is actually really quite big. There are 2 levels to it, and then there's the basement which we can fit out with rooms etc.

Anyway, I'm off now to make merry as the new year rolls in. Happy New Year folks.

Yes but Bart has his device. And often the heraldry of minor nobleman incorporated that of their superiors.

In this case it's the griffon (representing Tethyr) and the scarlet rose. For a keep on the outskirts of Tethyr it makes a lot of sense to me. And presumably it would have been done with the cooperation with the Royal Herald.

Yes he is a bit paranoid.

A map of the keep would be good. It'd be nice to know what the Keep has in terms of rooms/buildings.
