Well hopefully there will be a few less gobbos about when the mad dash is made. Plus I don't think Aelistae would be able to just stand back while Xaris breathes his last. She's a caring sort (for a drow )

The kiss only lasted for a moment. Neri’s lips brushed over Isaac’s, and imparted her Goddess’ blessing to him. But the armoured man’s reaction sent a wave of mirth over the paladin’s features. Isaac’s eyes widened, his sword slipped from his grasp, and his knees wobbled, almost as if he had been hit by a haymaker rather than by her lips.

‘Goddess,’ Neri thought as she stifled her laugh in case it wounded the man’s pride. ‘Just imagine what he’d have done if I had done something more…’

[A little late:]

The flickering lights of the village suddenly came into view, and was the signal it seemed for the small band of would-be heroes to start bickering over what they would do next. Neri’s eyes were drawn to the soft play of the lights visible through the mist, that shimmered and danced like the wisps she had once seen, while the others spoke their minds.

“Wait a moment,” the paladin chimed in after Isaac agreed to scout the village to see if it were unharmed. “I don’t think creatures like those we fought are much for lighting fires, and I don’t think an exposed fire would last long in this rain. I wonder if the villagers know of the dangers that are prowling this night?”

“Well I suppose it doesn’t matter much,” Neri continued in the musical lilt her Drannese accent gave her speech. “But, Isaac, if you’re going to go alone, take Serafino, at least that way you’ll be able to quickly escape any danger.”

Neri handed Isaac the reins to the beautiful, dapple gray stallion she had been leading through the muddy trail.

Yeah there's no way Batman could compete with Wolvey. He is a psychopathic killing machine, with a mutant healing factor after all.

And yes DC/Marvel crossovers are all crap. I don't read comics much anymore, but I remember glancing at the Avengers/Justice League crossover some years ago. It was pants.

Magneto is pretty cool basically because his villainous behaviour is rooted in its own logic.

But Venom is awesome. He is the dark shadow of Spidey.

Oh and can Aelistae get to Xaris in time (with Dylan's help), or is he too far away?

I take it we can't make out the buildings in the village because of the mist?

And would we be allowed entry at night?

Yeah Wolverine is Canadian. Although he's also awol from a Canadian Special Forces/Superhero team.

If we're allowed second votes, I'll go for Judge Dredd.

I'm hoping Aelistae will be able to get to Xaris in time (with some help from Dylan.)

Of course unless Bob the Orc is killed off that won't matter much.

On another note, it seems as if Xaris has a potion of remove disease. I know a certain drow who could make use of that...

It might just be me but the descriptions beneath the movie posters bear little relationship to the actual movies.

Wuthering Heights is about this sickening, self-destructive love. East Rider is exposing America to a '60s counter-culture that went against the grain of what went before. And Apocalypse Now...well it's not a barrel of laughs.

I hope everything works out ok.

When I was an infant and a child, my parents pretty much thought of me as being too thin etc. (in fact she still does). But I'm fairly healthy, so I hope Noah is too.

Subject: A friend in need...

All Aelistae could sense was a hand upon her shoulder, the warmth of a friend near her, the dull throb of the numerous wounds she had received – as for the rest there was just darkness. She was in a world of blind inertia, barely able to distinguish between the sounds that swirled around her. The whistle of an arrow, crackle of magic, and the clang of steel upon steel all merged into one overwhelming cacophony.

“Dylan, I…” she started as she struggle to find her feet, and struggled to find some way to express her thanks and her feelings of helplessness.

But then a desperate cry cut through that wall of sound, and the words died on Aelistae’s lips. She knew that voice, and to hear it twisted into such agony sent a tear spiraling down from her sightless eyes.

“It’s Xaris. Take me to him, before…before it’s too late.”

Aelistae reached for the small wand of healing that poor Loriel had once carried. She would not let another of her companions die.

[Providing Dylan agrees to lead Aelistae to Xaris:]

Aelistae crouched by Xaris’ crumpled body, feeling her way across matted hair and grievous wounds. Until at last she found some sign that not all life had left his tiny frame.

She sang, trying to kindle that spark of life that still remained, lest it be extinguished forever.

“Usstan tlun naut'kyn, ves naut'kyn, drill shlu'kyorl
Nindel Jallil's ssussun, flamgra’in wund uns'yorl.”

“Don’t die usst’abbil,” she added quietly, once the spell had been cast.

[OOC: The words to the song are:
“I am blind, totally blind, but I can see
That Lady’s light, shining within me.”

The other drow word translates as ‘my friend’.

Finally Aelistae will be taking a move action to stand up and zap herself with a charge from her wand of clw on her first round. Then will (providing Dylan agrees) move to Xaris and use her final level 2 spell to cast cure mod. wounds on him. In subsequent rounds she’ll zap him with her wand to ensure he doesn’t fall over once his rage wears off.]

Welcome to the Inn.

Regarding the srd links, is it possible to add them as permanent links under the 'links' tab? It'll be easier than constantly posting it each time someone is looking for them.
