You don't instead a troupe of circus midgets come into your house and cook you dinner. They make a gigantic mess, the food is terrible, and when they leave they forget to take the small dog that jumps on the trampoline off your table.

I wish I could bring my kitties to work with me.

Curie is just full of surprises. I think she even surprised me with that little burst.

btw... I hope Rrowl doesn't eat her head...

But hey, Romulans... looks like you might have a slight ally here.

Stardate 09.05.2374 – 1802 hours
USS Cerberus ASRV-83964:E-001

"Captain," he hissed the moment the link was broken, "surely you cannot take this kshat at her word?"

Enraged, Rrowl explained. "First, she freely admits that the Romulans" - the last word is spat - "could very well be responsible for the destruction of the Cerberus. Naturally, she denies any direct implication - as if we would expect her to say anything else!"

Seething, the kzinti continued, his tail lashing back and forth behind him. "I find it extremely convenient, captain, that this prat'ska already has a suspect in mind with nothing but the logs of the destruction and the reports of her own people as evidence! Even if this man is the one responsible, how would she know it, but that she is involved?

Curie sat still in her chair and listened, first to what the Centurion had to say (the whole pod could hear), and then what Rrowl had to say in response (likely even the Centurion could hear that loud pissed off growl). Her brow furrowed into a tight little knot when he finished. This wasn’t a science laboratory, and she wasn’t working on the genetic coding of some ancient flower, but she felt deep down in her guts that the same laws of logic, causation, and hypothesis still applied. Her mind worked furiously with the situation at hand, actually glad to have something interesting to think about, and ran itself into a wall at Rrowl’s comments.

Turning in her chair she faced the captain and the large cat like thing before her. She didn’t stand up, feeling for certain that her legs would not support her. In her lap she gripped the cup of luke warm tea in a death grip that threatened to implode the contents all over her, and she took a deep shaky breath.

“Sir…” and who that sir was directed at remained a mystery even to herself, “this may be a form of insubordination… and if it is I again apologize, however…” Her voice came out small and shaky at first. “Rrowl’s conclusion is fallible.”

That having been said she took a deep breath, the worst was over, now she had to get in her point before she was trampled, so she quickly let out the breath and started in on a small discourse with speedy words, all the while gripping her cup.

“To begin with, the Centurion did not admit that her crew could have been responsible for the disaster. Instead she stated that she felt that she would be considered one of the most likely suspects, and that she understood why that was. Second, she did not list this man of terrible hygiene habits as a likely suspect… instead she merely reported an incident that her crew found odd enough to report. In this I find her actions to actually be commendable. While I was puking she had enough of a sound mind to look into the matter herself, questioning her own people as to any unusual activity that they could remember. Even having the ingenuity to record the questioning. This is probably an action that the highest ranking official in each of the pods should have already engaged in. While it is likely that each and every one of us will again be questioned once we have been rescued, having those initial inquires recorded will only be of beneficial help in solving this horrific crime. Furthermore… as it is looking like the destruction of our ship has been due to sabotage it would likely be in the best interest of a rescue vessel to secure all of us survivors, we are all under suspect, not just the Romulans. It is my understanding that this crew was generally unfamiliar with each other having just been brought together for this mission. I myself only arrived a mere two days ago, just minutes before launching… The Romulans on board only complicates this investigation, as they might have their own agenda for causing a catastrophe and ending relations between the fleet and the Romulans, however I would bet that the Romulans are not the only one’s that would be interested in breaking that truce… and framing the destruction of a starship on them might likely do the trick…”

She took another huge breath and sunk back into her chair, her moment of bravery now over since she had said her bit.

“In my opinion that is… “ and bit her bottom lip, bracing herself slightly for whatever response might come.

^ Is like one of those Japanese bean paste 'dessert' things. It is called dessert so it should be sweet, but the outside is terrible. You keep eating though thinking there will be something yummy and fruity inside, but when you find the filling it too is more icky fruit flavored bean paste with food dye and you make disgusted faces at it for hours.

> Is probably going to hear about that last comment later on... and feels it was still worth saying

v Is more like one of those gigantic peppermint sticks you get for Christmas, big and delicious, except that there is always too much to eat and it always gets dropped on the floor when at it's stickiest and picks up all the cat fur off the carpet...

A Survival Adventure.

The cold war has made tensions rise to the boiling point. An itchy finger in Russia accidently set off a nuclear weapon, pointed at the United States. Both countries paused in apprehension waiting to see what would happen. But the bomb landed off the coast of Florida, there was no fall out, no deaths, and everyone took a huge sigh of relief. That is until a week later when sea life, fish, whales, dolphins, shrimp, coral, jellyfish etc. started to wash in with the tide, dead. Their bloated bodies covered the beaches for miles. That was only the begining though.

At the next tide what was washed ashore was not altogether dead, but everyone would later wish it was. Meritime victims walked out of their watery graves and onto the shores. Thousands of pirates, whalers, submarine crews, vikings, lesiure cruise passengers, and even downed pilots; Odyssius's men were seen weilding their great circular sheilds, Captain Blackbeard rose with his crew under his flag, John Astor still wore his tuxedo, and Amelia Aerhart looked out at the world through water logged aviator googles.

On Flamingo Ave the residents have taken action, forming a small group and fortifying their homes to fend off the dead that have walked out of the sea.

Will you survive?

Marcus Junius Virilis

Eldest son of Gaius Junius Virilis and Lucretia Tertia. He has a younger brother, Gaius Junius Spurius and two younger sisters, Junia Prima and Junia Secunda.
His uncle is Decimus Junius Silanus, married to Servillia Caepionis (mother to Marcus Junius Brutus).

Born: 80 BC in Rome

His father was part of the merchant class, building up a small fortune trading salt from Egypt, thus he was gone a great deal of the time, leaving his family back in Rome. Lucretia was not that excellent at keeping track of her children, especially the boys, and they ran free along the streets.
On a trip home in 60BC Gaius found that his son’s had spent a good deal of his money in brothels and at gambling. Furious he demanded that his eldest son marry and start to take on the family business, while his younger son would be sent to Greece to study rhetoric. Gaius arranged a marriage with the daughter of a silk merchant. Marcus plead with his father not to make him marry and trade salt, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. Two days before the marriage was to take place Marcus fled Rome, hearing that Gaius Julius Caesar was levying for troops in Gaul he headed that direction.
Once in Gaul Marcus joined the VIII Legion created by Caesar. The military was an excellent fit for this young man, and he quickly took to it, adapting to the culture and showing his military skills on the battlefield. Two years later when Caesar levied to created the XIII Legion he moved Marcus from the VIII to the XIII as an Optio, when his Centurion was killed in battle Marcus moved up to the position.
At the battle of Alesia he received a serious wound to his left arm, but kept fighting. After the battle he was told to take some time off to heal, refusing to leave the army he stayed in the camp while on leave and struggled every day to bring himself back to full capacity. Finally healed well enough to return to duty he has been assigned to a special unit now.

Marcus stands just over 5’6”, but appears nearly as broad, and every inch is muscle. He has brown eyes and dark brown curly hair. His battle tested body is covered in scars, the worst being the fresh one on his left bicep, which wraps itself around almost all of the arm in a deep gagged pink line. Slightly bowlegged he has a very unique gait, almost teetering back and forth as he walks. As many of his fellow soldiers he is rough around the edges and comes right to the point most of the time.

Because your left foot is prettier than your right foot, and the right foot felt it had to do something to compensate and made itself bigger.

Why can't I ever see a movie with Ray Liotta in it without thinking of him eating his own brains?

You guys need to stop with the cute baby pictures, and the baby announcements. Every time I come in here it gets harder and harder for me to say no to the husband about having one of our own. Although it is tempting to put a cute pet thread up here just to compete... I have some really cute kitties... lol...

But really, adorable baby
