Well Eol... You wanted something along the lines of last one to post loses, although I believe you worded it in a much more verbose manner, and you got it. Gotta be careful what you wish for, especially around here. Now Grugg in control of making everyone a loser. Not that that is all together surprising. Although I must admit thus far my will power has been strong enough to withstand the temptation of the Dark Side. We'll see how long that lasts
Wow, can anyone tell I really don't want to be at work right now?

Is also very amazing.
Gave me the willies with those teeth he had in Sleepy Hollow.

Not like true -horror- film, but another obscure film that was really good and has Walken in it is Scotland PA. He's actually a good guy for a change, but delightfuly funny. Well not to spoil it but the way the restaurant owner dies probably tops my list of ways I would hate to die.

Anamorph was a film my husband found randomly for me. It's in the Silence of the Lambs genre, investigator chasing a serial killer... It came out last year. It stars Willem Dafoe. And the serial killer is really twisted.

I'll have to take a look at those when I'm not at work... somehow I think that might actually get me fired. lol.
If your into fascinating death scenes I mentioned Anamorph in the movie thread, but it deserves another mention here. That killer is messed up! You only see the aftermath, but that's enough.
And I will give props to Snakes on a Plane here too. They come up with some fascinating ways to kill off the characters with and without snake involvement. And of course Samuel L. Jackson is always friggin awesome. The movie sucks in general, but it is worht watching for the laughs...

Subject: Alex in a night club?

lol... yeah his flask probably was empty... seems to get that way pretty quickly. Umm... are kitties allowed into the club? Or does she sit in the car and join them as soon as they get out? Oh! Maybe Alex hides her in a bag or something, like a bowling ball bag... lol...
Okay I almost like that idea for stealing the kitty into 'no pet' zones, not that she is a pet... lol. Will have to be some cool kick *** bag, maybe with a skull on it. Wow that's almost too much like 'Mystery Men' hehe!

>Edit< You know sometimes I should read all the previous posts before I post myself. lol. I would guess that a club for the gifted would allow a Bast, even a Common Bast. But the bag idea might still be viable for other less accepting places

Topic: The Sharpeness of Smoke
Subject: *twitchy*

Ellgawen had sat and listened intently to the conversation Alex had on the phone. She could only occasionally hear the caller’s words, but from what she could hear and what she heard Alex say in response it seemed the caller had found one of those responsible for his wife’s death. And Alex was going after them. Humans were so often motivated by their emotions, which more often than not got them in trouble.

The line went silent and Alex hung up the phone. “Happy anniversary, baby,” Alex murmured under his breath, still cradling the cat in his arms as he headed for the stairs, “found another one.”

He set the cat down as he reached the staircase that climbed to the second floor of the place and offered her a smile. “Not exactly what I’d had planned for the night, kitty cat,” he smiled faintly, a hint of both excitement and possibly maliciousness coloring the expression, “but, with these sons-of-bitches, I’ve learned it’s best to take ‘em as they come.

You go ahead and hang out here, if you want,” he continued, stooping a bit to pat the cat’s head, “I’ve gotta go out for a while.”

With that, Alex bounded up the steps to change into some dry clothes and, since he had a few hours before Lucius’ Azazelite was due at the club, to perform a ritual that would allow him to summon and store a bit of additional Essence.

She wondered what he had planned for the night, besides the obvious drinking. At the bottom of the stairs she sat for a moment, twitching her whiskers and tail in angst. He should not go alone, she knew this, felt it at the very bottom of her tail, was it premonition? Probably not, she did not have the Sight, she had other talents, it was more likely just all those past experiences boiling up to the surface. Practicing the Craft in public was dangerous. Human’s forgot that, or never had the memory in the first place, but she remembered. However… no man, even a slightly drunk man who thought he was hearing voices, would take an ordinary cat with him into a night club, to fight a follower of a demon. Stupid demons, power was not in destruction despite all their propaganda to the contrary. But she was digressing… If she wanted Alex to take her along with him she would have to convince him that she was something other than a cute little grey fluff ball. There were two issues with that. One, she was having a good time pretending to be that cute little harmless grey fluff ball. Two, if she startled him with that at the moment he might completely distracted by what was actually keeping him motivated, and partially sober, at the moment and might miss his chance to battle with the demon-follower murderer man, and in the end that would be her fault and he might blame her for it and she’d be back on the streets trying to catch mice. Tuna was much better, she didn’t know Alex well enough to know exactly how he would react to learning that she was a bit more than a typical kitty.
A plaintive meow slid over her tongue and she stretched out her body before mounting the stairs after Alex. With each stair she muttered to herself in her head about how stupid humans were and how much easier things were before Chelmsford, and how she couldn’t just sit around while he tried to be stupid and how much he reminded her of Chet, and on and on…

At the top of the stairs she sniffed around, bouncing around from spot to spot and finally came upon Alex starting up his ritual to get more Essence. One step into the room and she set her rump down by the doorway and watched him. If possible she lets him borrow some of her own Essence when he starts the ritual, if she feels she can do so without him noticing, no sense shocking the hell out of him while he’s in the middle of ritual, bad things happen when that happens. But if she can she will let him take some, not like she is going to need it while she sits and paces back and forth in his home waiting for the orbs of his headlights to light up the front window saying he was still alive.

Subject: ohh... scary movie time!

31 - The Ring - Found the imagery disturbing, but not all that scary of a movie
30 - Hellraiser
29 - Nosferatu (1922)
28 - The Descent
27 - The Omen
26 - The Fly - Scary? Interesting Yes, but scary?
25 - The Wicker Man (1973)
24 - Carnival of Souls
23 - The Eye
22 - Scream
21 - Friday the 13th - I watched this when I was 13, scared the crap out of me at the time, so I stayed up all night watching tv, and that was the night the Atlanta Olympics were bombed... I didn't sleep for a week!
20 - Dracula (1931)
19 - Evil Dead 2
18 - Carrie (1976) - Gotta love that girl, not so much scary as delightfully vindictive
17 - Invasion of the Body Snatchers Tis funny!
16 - Night of the Living Dead Fascinating film, bad acting
15 - The Blair Witch Project - Scared the living daylights out of me, those teeth still make me twitch just thinking about them
14 - The Bride of Frankenstein
13 - A Nightmate on Elm Street
12 - Rosemary's Baby - I think this should be number one, it is the most psycologically terrifying things I've ever seen, I will NOT be watching this when/if I get pregnant
11 - Frailty
10 - 28 Days later - The best Zombie movie I have yet to see, Shaun of the Dead is a close second I think
09 - The Haunting - Is this the one with Zeta Jones and Owen Wilson and Liam Nelson in it? Really interesting story if it is
08 - Dawn of the Dead
07 - The Thing (1982)
06 - Sixth Sense - Not so much scary as mind screwing
05 - Texas Chainsaw Massacre
04 - The Shining - King wrote an amazing scary book, Kubrick made a scary movie, too bad the two aren't related. I love the ABC mini version of the book though, King has a great cameo, and the guy from Wings plays Jack, which was a little odd at first, but does a good job
03 - Psycho - Not scary while I watched it, but... I HATE all white bathrooms in hotels, and will always paint my home bathrooms due to this movie
02 - The Exorcist - Have to say this one is pretty creepy too, mainly because it involves a child...
01 - Halloween

So I commented on the ones I've seen, the rest I need to get around to watching. I am a little suprised IT didn't make the cut, Pennywise is pretty scary.

There are of course hundreds and hundreds more... but I think I'll continue my personal marathon of scary/evil movies with Name of the Rose tonight. Medieval murders with blackened fingers and tongues and lots of blood, not to mention a witch burning and Sean Connery

Alright I'll take it.

Gnome Rogue

Gnomes are strange little things. Fascinated with gadgets and shiny things, gnomes are often plotting and planning - but are pretty smart, despite all the explosions.

As a rogue, you're always looking out for number one. You aren't afraid to do whatever it takes to win - and if things take a turn for the worse, you can always vanish into the night... Just don't run out of flash powder.

Okay... I happen to have two folders in my PM area that have enough messages that they warrent more than one page... however, I can't seem to currently get to more than the first page. When I go into that folder and select "2", "Next Page", or "Last Page" it appears to send me to my inbox and says I have no messages to view. My inbox only has one page and yet it still says "Next Page" and "Last Page" up at the top for me to select. Seems to be some odd bug there.
Also should note that there is a misspelling out there in the PM's: Messages in malbox folder: Inbox
So when someone gets a chance to look into that it would be great! Thanks!

One of the doors marked 'Wanted' on it opened up slowly and a little grey kitty came bounding out and settled itself at the feet of Meri, who looked down at it, smiled and then turned back to the room. It was an interesting group of people in the room now.
" Oh you mean that vending machine thing? Yes you really should pay it attention now and then. It is dangerous but I have a feeling it is more dangerous if you don't feed it than if you do. I have the same feeling about our Grugg as well, though not everyone agrees with me on that point." She shrugged slightly at the man who had asked the question.
