Well hello my lovely fellow red headed lady!
I can't speak for the rest of the innmates, but I've missed you. Although I must admit it's been easier to catch up to your post count without you around

Maybe this explains why innmates are known for their fertility around here. We're all running around in our birthday suits and thinking dirty thoughts, which can lead to dirty deeds (done dirt cheap yes).

Gawds is this tempting. I always end up flaking out of your games though... not your fault. I'm just a big mess like that. Well I'm not committing myself here but we'll see what happens. I have always wanted to try a Firefly game though...

Welcome Skye! It seems that everyone else has already helped direct you around here, but I wanted to say hello as well. I myself am slowly trying to return after a maternity hiatus. Hopefully I'll see you around!! From the few posts I've seen thus far I think you'll fit right in!

I'm with Al on this one... so long as the users don't have to be overly mature I'm for it!

I reall like the idea of the rafters... or anything in the wilderness would be neat, kind of a classic horror film motiff too, which can always be fun.

I guess your system is probably more modern d20, but I've always been a big fan of historical settings.

You could do Roanoke (so that's where everyone went)... or perhaps a western mining town (Donnor Party anyone?)... maybe something during the Civil War (was that the real reason for Sherman's March to the Sea?)...

And that's just what I've come up with American History at the moment.

I think I already said congrats but hey it's a wedding... you can't say it enough times!! Congratuations dear.

A beautiful (inexpensive) wedding dress on a lovely bride... summer wedding in Canada... moving to Italy... so romantic!

Wish we could make it... but I'm actually already scheduled to go to my cousin's wedding that same week in Colorado.

But we want pictures! We demand pictures!

Maybe you can have the open bar but put Grugg on 'brother duty' give him permission to eat your brother if he gets too sloshed. Everyone knows that Gruggles like their meat premarinated!

Good luck with all the planning luv!

Cay let him finish what he had to say, feeling every word burn into her. Then quickly shook her head.

“No.” The words came out harsher and faster than she would have liked. “No… you can’t do this Nyx. It isn’t fair. Don’t you dare do this to me.

“I have no answers for you Nyx.” She spoke with her whole body, her hands flying to her sides with the palms up to emphasize that she had nothing to offer him. “I’m not even sure I understand what your questions are in order to give you an answer. Seek your stars, they are constant and bright. I am anything but…

“So stop looking to me for answers, and stop giving me bull shit for yours!” Every word teetered on the edge of shattering as her tempo rose higher still.

“Don’t tell me that Olsta is just the beginning. We both know better. You pressing your back against mine and telling Dmitrova that he’d have to fight us both if he laid a hand on me might be a more poignant beginning, or perhaps it goes back further, to Gracchus, or even further to the first time I felt a pair of unseen eyes watch me from the shadows. Olsta is simply another step. Which is why you know I cannot just walk away.

“And while we are talking about truths don’t throw your promises in my face. I remember quiet well what you have promised, and I also happen to then remember that you weren’t the only one making promises.” Despite the fear of what he might see she stared him in the eyes as she spoke.

“Our lives have been twisted together for some time now, for better or for worse. If you don’t believe me take another look at your back Nyx and try to deny it. There are powers, much greater than Senators or Syndicate overlords, at work here that I don’t fully understand.

And to be honest Nyx, that scares me. Don’t give me an out…” the amber fires to her soul dropped then, “ I’m terrified enough right now that I might take it. But maybe you are right. Maybe I’m not sure about… about…” she shook her head when the words would not come out right.
Looking down she caught site of the ruby buried in the hilt of his dagger and her dream flashed back before her eyes. In the moonlight it had looked so sinister, dripping with blood

Nyx’s blood

A disgusted moan filled her throat as she wrapped her fingers around it and pulled it out. It seemed to hang there in the scant space between them. She could almost hear the seductive whispers begging her to kill him. Instead she grasped the blade, not really noticing how the edge reopened her palm, and thrust the pommel toward him.

“Just… just take this back please… I wasn’t thinking last night, you’re the killer Nyx not me. It’s not mine… but please… please Nyx… you are…” pleadingly her eyes rose back up to his, “or you said you were… don’t tell me I can leave… tell me to go with you. I’m more afraid of losing you than anything…”

Thank you very much everyone!

I loved waking up to find all these warm birthday messages.

I know there is a reason I love you all so much!

Connor and I are doing great, I'm avoiding chores and the outside for the day, might go out to dinner later tonight so I don't have to cook. Nice lazy birthday.

My goodness... you guys are baby making machines! And somewhat crazy if you ask me. Not that I don't the little bundle screaming on my lap right now... but sheesh.

Hmmm... but Tanis. I have to admit I kind of like it. But there is something to be said for 'normalish' names. If you go for it at least give the kid a good 'fall back' middle name in case Tanis doesn't rock his boat. Then again you'll spend all this time debating it and end up with a girl. Em does need a sister.

Isn't Tanis the name of the half elf from Dragonlance? Or has it been too long since I read that?

The little guy is doing great.

Connor was a full 21 inches.

We are at home now and trying to get into a schedule and stay warm.

I'm sure he'll make a great little gamer some day.

But... someone is hungry, so off I go. Thanks again for all the messages. you guys!

The longest period of recorded time from death to zombification is 8 hours according to Jenner... However... one must consider the time period from bite to death.

Jim was going on several hours and was still alive when we left him. We did not get a clear picture on how long Malcom's wife made it with that fever before she died.

So... if it takes over a day to die from a bite and even longer to turn into a zombie... that could make it over on a plane.

We're all doomed!

Maybe he'll cut up the cast for some 'fresh' samples!

And... what tissue was that he was using as his sample? It was whitish... but didn't exactly look like brain tissue to me... then again I can't say I've ever really seen brain tissue after it's been vaccum sealed and frozen for a few months

Ouch! That hurts...

But I'll be good and not reveal what I know... no spoilers for anyone wanting to read the books.

Lord only knows if the show is going to follow what they have going on in the later issues of the books.

Yeah I wondered a bit at how long it took to turn, although considering what I know about how the comic's handle turning and such I guess I shouldn't be too overly surprised, it wasn't your typical zombie turning (they always like to throw some kind of twist in there now )

And I absolutly agree with you Pit, I Glenn, did in the books and still do now that he's on screen. Andrea and him are probably some of my favorites. I'm so glad they got Holden to play Andrea she's going to do a stellar job with it.
