Perhaps you should stop looking at that... it will just make you sad, and then I'll be sad and we'll all be sad and will have to go cry on Grugg...

And there ain't much worse smelling then a wet Grugg...

Good question, although perhaps a better one is... is Olan a rabbit? He could be one of those rare red-headed bunnies...
The offspring of Roger and Jessica perhaps?

I thought it was a lower case 'L'... a Lara, like from Dr. Zhivago... although... she's not Russian so that did kind of confuse me.
I will correct

Smoke was not most people or most animals. And from what she had just seen with Rosie she had a better idea than most about what the girl was, or at least had been.

"Whatever you do, don't frighten her," She sends to both Alex and Penelope behind her.

Her golden eyes look at the hand then slowly move up toward the girls face. The fact that the girl hasn't grown up in all this time is creepy. The symbol on her forehead is even more so. Smoke can't look at it very long before she turns her head back to the hand. Taking small steps she actually gets closer. She sniffs the hand then rubs her head against the out stretched fingers. Touching the girl almost brought up her hackles but she did her best to appear calm. She let the girl pet her so long as she gets to keep all her fur during the process. With her distracted with petting Smoke sends a message to Alex.

"This has to do with Rosie, and the clocks. I can't fully explain it. Don't get Rosie. I don't want to frighten this girl, Alice I'm pretty sure, by talking to her. Maybe you can though, see if you can find out why she is here,"

Michael listened to this and nodded when appropriate. While he listened he pulled a carton of cigarettes from an inside pocket of his jacket and tapped out one of the long white cancer sticks. The pack disappeared but he plays with the cigarette while he listens, tapping the end on the table, rolling it between his fingers, all while flashing grins over at Sarah .

When everyone seems done talking though he nods.

“Alright. Well… seems like we have a few things to look into here. First I want to know why this guy became a victim. Then I wanna find out who made him a victim, and finally, why it is being covered up. I’d like to check out the victim. Talk to the widow, see if there is anything at the scene that our boys on the force missed. Lara, you’d probably be best at getting information out of the doctor, so perhaps it would be good if we split, can cover more ground before things get cool. Marie… you got something you’d like to sniff out, or would you like to join me? I’ll give you a ride on my motorcycle…” He flashes a bright smile at Marie.

Topic: Loaded Dice: Strip #21
Subject: So True

It is that players never can trust that the NPC's the DM puts before them could actually be beneficial. Although, this isn't my gaming group, my group would have beheaded them.

Perfect example: We are walking down the road and hear a rustle in the bushes. Instead of investigating in any way shape or form our ranger unloads a series of arrows into the bush. When it finally stops moving we investigate. Only to discover the arrow punctured body of a young girl, and more rustlings in the distance that we later learn are caused by a group of goblins that were chasing the poor girl till we mowed her down. whoops. She was supposed to help us get to the goblin lair or something. Instead the ranger ended up picking up a coin from her and it started haunting him, along with those few points of 'Evil' that crept up... lol...

So the group in the strip is actually pretty mellow

*Okay erase western justice showdown scene, replace with image of Elmyra squeezing the crap out of Smoke*

Check!

Yeah I guess with all the char sheets available and since witchcraft is basically all high rolls win stuff it shouldn't be too hard for us to just do without having to rent-a-dictator.

Ohh! Alice and Kitty showdown!

*sets stage: Dust, tumbleweeds, clock in background about to chime high noon just as the sun centers between them and their eyes narrow on each other*

btw... if this comes to combat... how will that work with die rolls and such? Since we are all communist and lacking in offical leadership here?

"Well where doesn't it hurt?"

"Here..." *kiss* "and here..." *kiss* "and... here..." *looong kiss*

See this is just Smoke's way of looking out for Alex's well-being

That is an interesting note... I'm not sure that she has fully let Alex in on what she can do with all that death mastery stuff. I doubt he's had occassion to see her use it. She's used the shield and maybe some of the lesser death mastery stuff, but mostly I'd guess she just uses her normal basty abilities...
But... yeah... she isn't exactly defenseless and he might know that

Well here is the kitty's reaction.

I figure that when Alex lets her out she will go down the street and try to get a better look at Alice. I'm assuming Alice was still walking down the street when Smoke catches sight of her and thus doesn't get a good look. She'll want to have more confirmation before doing anything.

Rer - feel free to work Smoke's following into a post with Alice's moves, and as noted before Smoke rarely hides what she is to people who are receptive to it, and this is no exception.
