Well it is getting to be time to start preparing the next edition of the RDInnsider.

This coming month we are going to focus on the world of Science Fiction.

I am looking for article and creative submissions in this genre, so if you have anything please send it my way!!

*rolls d20, watches with raised brows* What's the worst that could happen? Ooooohhh.... you'll see... you'll see!

But... at any rate. Again good job playing nicely this week (I am getting good 'Mommy Practice' with you all ). Not everyone has checked into the bar, you'll have until tomorrow and then we are moving forward.

I spoke with Tann earlier today and I just haven't been able to keep up with Trilogy lately.

I'm with my first child and this whole baby making thing is just draining me. In order to keep up with the newsletter next month and the game I (at least pretend to) run here I am going to have to take a leave from here.

I've loved playing with all of you and hopefully when I get some more energy I can return once again.

I'll try to check in now and then see what you crazy folks are up to, it really does stink to have to leave in the middle of all this chaos.

Good luck all!

So far this is going much better I feel. Thank you everyone for listening and trying here. I knew we could get along if we just put a little bit of effort into it.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of this goes before the evil DM in me comes out and I burn the Inn down or some such

Lovely work.

I absolutely the look on his face while the die is rolling across the two panels.

(No I can't come up with -his- name right now. *le sigh* I've got lists and lists of baby names running through my head, it's amazing some days I know my name... but you all know who I'm talking about! )

Keep it up!

Subject: There you go...

I've set the scene.

I will do the next post to get us going on another little 'adventure' on Saturday. Until then you all have been tasked with a little RP... a little 'let's be nice to each other' RP. I think this will prove an interesting challenge. I'll be watching the posts, and as you noticed I put Professor O'Leary in the bar with you, she might not seem interested but I promise you she is listening and obviously not in a good mood, I really don't recommend getting her attention just yet.

If your character has not posted up by Friday night (as I hope to get the update in Saturday morning if all goes well) I will assume they decided to stay at the dorms that evening and will either miss on whatever event occurs at the Inn or will join in later, per my discretion.

Enjoy and good luck!

Red Dragon Inn
Day 3 - Week 1

The Red Dragon Inn was a boisterous place any night of the week, and tonight was no exception. Beyond your small group were several other groups of people enjoying the evening out. Huddled around the large fireplace were several older looking adventurers laughing over ale and old stories. The table next to you was occupied by some younger patrons, strangely dressed in brightly colored costumes some looking almost like animals that were intent on a drinking contest. Another group played a complex dice game on a space on the floor they had pushed all the tables and chairs off of. Two barmaids bustled around the place keeping the drink flowing and the food coming, and the bartender got his socks drenched as he poured one drink after another. The only patron that was familiar to you sat alone in the corner.

The director had an entire table to herself and leaned back in her chair so her head rested against the wall, creating a halo around her head with her bright red hair. One foot rested on the ground while the other, in a rather unladylike fashion was propped up on the seat of the chair next to her. Dangling between her legs her hand held a dark bottle, nearly half empty. Her eyes opened only to take a drag of the bottle. No one had yet approached her yet; she did not seem to be in the mood for company tonight.

Things at your table began a little tense and quiet, but there is something to be said for decent food (excellent food if one has been surviving on gruel for a few days), and a proper amount of ale to ease the mood. Comfortable conversation, and perhaps even a laugh or two now drifted over the remains of the meal as you relaxed with another round of drinks.

Subject: Alright

First things first...

1. Everyone stop posting for the moment. I'll have something up by the time I go to bed tomorrow to get us moving along, I think I have something in mind.

2. I both OOC and IC mentioned that everyone needed to work on working as a team.

I was very impressed with generally how well that worked, finally, once you all entered into combat. You not only defeated the enemy, but you did so without inflicting injury on each other or spending more time arguing with each other than fighting. Kudos.

However... I think there is something about 'teamwork' that in my world implies that you don't finish a decent bit of work and then spend the next five posts bashing your fellow players on their actions. Your new professor offered up his suggestions for future improvements, which is proper and expected as he is the TEACHER, the rest of you are STUDENTS... congratulate each other... discuss what to do next and unless we want this school to degrade into factions that will do better fighting against each other than a fellow school, DROP THE CRITICSM OF YOUR FELLOW TEAMATES. That goes for each and everyone of you. I don't want to hear why 'so and so wouldn't make a good leader, or who failed to act in a proper way according to you.' If this is 'how my character would respond' go ahead and try it and see how they respond to Professor O'Leary kicking them out of the school. If your character is truely that much of a 'independent rebel' they can simply stalk off and take on future challenges by themselves. Part of gaming is that it is not a solo enterprise. You all choose to do D&D knowing you would have to do it with a group of other people, and in this venue they are usually a group of people you have never met in real life and know little about. Part of this School is learning how to effectively do that. And currently this class is failing.

So... I am going to move us forward soon, take the time to calm your character down some and lets move on in a more positive light.

Thank you,

Just how much does the DM want to kill us? That is always the question.

I liked it It was long... and I want to know what they will decide to do!

My group would bash the door open probably and start firing/attacking on whatever is on the other side without waiting to see if it was friendly or not...

I swear. Sorry I've been so... distant lately guys.

Nothing against all of you I promise, just been a little distracted by RL, being pregnant does a good job of that it seems.

At any rate, I heard from Steelight that he's done torturing you for the moment, I will get up to speed again and hopefully have the next adventure in store for you soon, I will kick myself into action and get up a post by this weekend

Glad to see you all still here!
