Kimono handed Kursado her member address, and waited for Kiku to do the same. She then directed everyone back to Mac Anu to the Chaos Gate. After everyone had properly saved, She tried to access a level 3 area through the random keyword function.

Looks like Dylan does know the reference to the moon lady being Elistrae and can probably extrapolate what her symbol might look like, even if not having seen one before in person.

Zorana and Silvara keep backpedaling, turning it into an all out run as the snake swarms continue to crawl over them and bite them for minute amounts of damage. (Silvara 35/38 Zorana 40/48hp ) They had managed to elude the swarms, tearing the few remaining serpents from their persons as they rounded the corner back before the mess hall. The snakes it seems were magically bound to prevent their leaving their designated area, and as one mass of scaled danger they slithered back around the corner and out of view, though their slithers can be heard even from where the women stand.

Silvara feels that presence again, brushing through her hair and across her cheek, while Zorana feels her clothing ruffle though there is no tangible breeze in this hallway. Further ahead on the right, the door creaks, and shifts open but an inch, and a cool waft of air passes the women in that direction.

Subject: Teamwork

"Kimono," he said aloud, reading her character specifics from the left of his screen, "... nice name... but I like to work alone."

Kimono almost pouted at the remark, here was this newb, as fresh as she was already giving her attitude.. had he even fought a battle yet?

"Look, I know the thrill and pride of trying to solo any sort of game, but here in "The World", it pays to have friends around to compliment your own abilities. You're an edge punisher right? Your strength lies in the power of your attacks, but you're not the quickest I'd reckon, and certainly not suited for any magic users I'd wager should you encounter one while alone. Kiku here's quite the healer, and in workin as a team, not only can we kill more enemies faster gaining experience, but we can also cover each other's backs, and clear the maps sooner, which means more money, more items, and more experience in a shorter amount of time. I realize that by soloing you might get a larger sum of experience, but think of the time it'll take to do it solo, the danger of being ganged up upon, and the money you'll spend on healing items along the way. I wouldn't have levelled as it were if it wasn't for teamwork, and I'm sure Kiku feels the same way. Not that you can see our levels, but how about it? We can exchange member addresses and give it a go, and if we cramp your style, you're free to go your own way."

Armand entered the study of the High Priest Barrahen, and graciously accepts the seat offered to him. Deunan too takes a chair, while Caduceus can only bathe Barrahen with praise for the stand in which he leans, and for ‘showing proper respect where it is due.’

"I'm afraid if you've come here for information, I have none to give yet. However, I am certain that news will come swiftly enough; with an event this massive, people will want and need to seek to understand it, from those who are merely curious, to those who are willing to give their lives if needed to avert it."

Barrahen keeps eyeing the ring on his desk, which is sitting upright, almost waiting for it to do something.

Armand listened to Barrahen intently, and noticed too that his attention was focused on the ring sitting vertical upon the desk. “You’ve known me for some time Barrahen, and you know that patience is one of the lesser virtues I’ve been blessed with. With the threat of panic in the air, I find it hard to sit on my haunches and do nothing.” Barrahen’s eyes barely left the jewelry on the desk. “I don’t mean to pry” Deunan interjected. “But are you waiting for it to fly off the desk or something?”

Subject: Crap!

Thondrek was excited as he peered down into the depths of the valley, he was enjoying the unrest his illusory calls and banter were causing within the ranks below, but those of higher strength and power kept pushing the greenskins forward, like a swarm of lemmings ready to meet their end at the end of his blade or spell.

Then, the sky darkened for a spli second, as a great Wyvern appeared blocking the radiance of the moon, before diving down and plunging its poisoned barb into Alyssia.

"Oh Crap!" Thondrek let slip, not very Khordish but it got the point across. Thondrek knew he was no healer, knew Alyssia stood little to no chance of surviving that attack, but he was needed elsewhere, and currently that elsewhere was not even on the ground.

Turning to Geim he yelled to his friend and companion. "Geim! Pass me da Spider potion and tend to the lass, I've got's me a wyrm to wrangle!" Thondrek figured by now, especially after the Tree battle, his often unorthodox plans were a part of who he was, much like how he was a duskblade, and not a typical cleric or warrior like most of his kinfolk.

(Providing Geim will give Thondrek the potion, He will spend this round drinking it and taking a defensive stance to further his defence until he can act.)

(If Geim won't give Thondrek the potion, Thondrek will simply dimension Hop onto the Rider, and attempt to pull him from the saddle)

(Next round round he will dimension Hop to the Wyvern, sticking to it or the saddle or what not and do what he can to distract the rider (since I can't attack it)

(Further rounds will be spent attacking the Wyvern from atop it, Channelling a Shocking Grasp into each attack for an extra 5d6 damage until he can bring the beast down and people can swarm the rider)

Subject: Gotta find a partner and Train!

The arena was crowded, incredibly so, As people gathered to watch the Finals. In fact there was such a turn out Kimono had to wonder if they were truly all players, or some npc’s conjured to fill the seats to add to the awe of the affair. As the battle began, Kimono sat glued to the edge of her seat as watching these level 150’s went toe to toe. When Lady Maera stepped out to take on a trio of Moon Tree’s division leaders, Kimono’s butt slid even closer to the rim of her chair so engrossed in the fight to come. Then come it did. The trio attacked and Maera dodged, they blew skills, and she simply let them go, when they jumped into a Beast Awakening, Kimono gasped. “What’s that?!” She said to no-one in particular. She was amazed to find Maera still standing when the Awakening was over, and before the end came she knew by the expressions of Moon –tree that they had foreseen their demise even before Lady Maera entered her Eldest Awakening, decimating Moon Tree in a single sweep. “Amazing” Kimono found herself saying even as Zelcova discussed his afterthoughts of the match. Kimono was stunned and amazed at the power wielded by this woman, and deep inside she was envious as well. No wonder everyone feared or respected her! “That was awesome!” she said as she turned to Kiku. “We’ve got to get stronger and train really hard if we’re going to be like Lady Maera! C’mon let’s get back to it! Let’s see if we can find another person willing to party, and let’s rock those keywords awhile and gain in strength! If that’s what a top notch adept rogue looks like, then I know what it’ll take to get there. C’mon c’mon Kiku!” Kimono was practically pulling Kiku out from her chair, back to the lobby. She was still talking about going out to practice and level and gain strength when her averted eyes caused her to run right into the back of a slow moving, deep in thought Edge Punisher.

*Thud*

“Hey! Oh uh, sorry,” Kimono said scratching the back of her bright pink hair. “Guess I was a little overeager to get out there and start training and didn’t see you, I’m sorry.” Her eyes fell over the spiky haired sword wielder before her before her brain started turning those hidden wheels of a plan in action. “Hey hey hey!!, you look like you could use some training yourself! I’m Kimono, and this is Kiku, and this my good man is your lucky day! It’s not every day you get to walk around with two hotties like us eh? C’mon, wanna go train for awhile?”

(If he agrees and exchanges introduction,s they can exchange member addresses and move to the Chaos Gate to try and find an appropriately leveled place (I’m thinking around level 3 for the world, Decent Challenge, great Exp for Kimono and New guy, and decent for Kiku.)

I've left the prices and what not there in case there's a need to revert back to it in the future, but as of now I'm fine with wiping the slate clean and just letting those who have the items have the items. Y'all are grown p enough to decide how to sell items when the time comes etc etc.

Secondly Deuc, I think you made a comment on th staff being Arcane or at least the summoning spells within it being such, but Summon Nature's Ally spells are Divine in nature as only druids / rangers can cast it according to the Phb (though clerics have access to it through certain domains)

Whether or not that means anything is up to you lol.

If i can get a spider climb i can dimension hop and stick to the wyvern for a khordish Rodeo while attacking the rider. I can also try to dimension hop the enemy directly down into the earth expeling it right before everyone and it taking damage. Rider would have a tough time striking me i would think and i'm pretty well armoured and have bonuses against poison. Thoughts?

Thondrek turns as Malius speaks about fleeing and leaving the Khord's to die. Not that he said it in a positive sense, just bringing to light an all too real possibility.

Aye, yer legs may be longer but dun'ae count us out. If need be I can run as fast if not faster than you my good Syl, and have more than one trick up my sleeve or have ye forgotten the tree battle already har har."

"Let us pepper them with projectiles, I'll handle the boulders and one of you can run to warn whomever you think can be warned. When the time comes to break ranks, we'll drop some spells, scatter then and flee. Though where too I do not know since this is where we need ta be"

Subject: the problem I see

is we have no definate destination we know what we're looking for, but with no means of doing so. So let's se if we can't cause a ruckus, and then get back to the plan of searching.

If a fells ogre, spirit sounds and chucked bodies doen't scare the lesser races somewhat I don't know what will.

I'm not saying we stay and fight 1000+, but if we can make a dent in the forces, even 20-30 of them at a time via skirmishes, it can wear them down over time and do a great service for all races in the area.

Subject: My question..

Is how many abreast can they travel up the path? two? one? 5? I dunno?

But currently I'm all for my Illusiory plan, flirt's all for combat, but we should probably line the sides of the cliff, pepper them with as much projectiles as possible (remember I can dimension hop Boulders down the hill without a saving throw and Loda and I both have bulls' strength on) and she's got flaming spheres to control while rolling them up and down the path.

Alyssia can lightning bolt large streams of people and Stoneskin the frontline fighters, and in the event of overwhelming odds (which may eventually come) the plan for Thondrek at least is to drop a Fireball and either go invisible or tele-hop away for a spell lol

But yes providing the path leading to where we are is not super wide that is likely the best place to keep the fight.
(Loda doesn't have an entangle and the clearing allows for swarming as was pointed out)

Because I'm in a GRAND mood, and have also written a most diabolical plotline to be introduced at some point (perhaps that's why I'm in a grand mood? I wonder hmmm) I have decided that Sibelious may Start at level 5, and Talus my good man you may up your character to level 5 as well to match the others.doing such will keep my math neat, allow my scaling to be a bit higher (muhahaha) and generally please everyone for having more firepower on YOUR side for a change lol.

I've reset everyone's XP to the same amount (except for RP and Ad hoc bonuses I've given certain people for individual actions / posting CD points etc etc) Oops did I just let it slip that CD points might also give exp bonuses? goodness gracious I'll start a riot of CD point donations!

Enjoy everyone

First and Foremost, I'd like to Welcome Sibelius Eos Owm to the game, he will be replacing the late Solvy with a new character, you may remember him in the q/a throughout the history of the game with little tidbits and comments here and there.

Secondly, I'm all for getting rid of the bidding for items system, I implemented it as a guidelines for fairness. If you al think you can do without it so be it, and we'll try it that way. (Linnix get's the emblaizoned Shar cloak, Talus the Staf Xaris the Belt, and Artanis the Shield free and clear) and we leave past expenses to the wind.

We gathered a bunch of peopl in chat to discuss plans (beyond my illusory dwarvenvengeance lol)

but that dependso n the actual terrain. It may well be better to take the fight to the lip of the valley/clearing, or the rocky crags, or to flee altogether, but a visual aide is much appreciated... and needed.

An idea struck Thondrek and he moved to the Ogre's felled body, and placed a trio of Axe marks into the Ogre, particularly hiding the arrow wound. Then falling into a ghost sound he replicated the Ogre's yell. (In goblin kind for autenticty of commanding the lesser races)

"Run! The Chakran Dwarves have returned! And They've brought Terrible beasts! The spirits of the fallen have returned! Argggg!"

Then with the help of those around he dumps the body down the path into the valley Next, He duplicated the Roar of a pack of wolves, and to top that off, fell into another Ghost sound (the third one) replicating the roar of a Dire Tiger.

To make the illusion seem even more impressive, Loda and Thondrek, along with gothard by their side pickd up the bodies of the charred and slain Goblins, and with a fourth Ghost sound Thondrek made it sound like a contingent of twenty Dwarves Chanting "Death to the Tresspassers!" Before They tossed the bodies down into the valley and ducked out of sight.

Checking Through Alyssia's spells (and I'll call Miranda and suggest this though I don't know if she's even got internet access)

I suggest she cast's Stoneskin on the two main melee fighters, those that will be wading into the most combat, that being either Thondrek, Draven or Malus with his twin swords.

Alyssia can also if need be levitate and cast lightning bolts from above, but the likelyhood of hitting more than one target lessens.
