Thondrek stood there while everyone bantered back and forth. They had discussed what needed to be done, but noone was actually doing anything.

"Are we gonna stand here wagging our tongue or are we gonna get to the rub down?" Ye swordsingers have dealt with these things before, so this one shouldn't be a problem right? If none of ye wanna get yer pretty little feet mucky, then hand me the potion, and I'll 'hop' on over to the tree and give it a nice Khordish massage.
The Duskblade's fingers glow with magical auras, and he grins at the others. "Or we can just burn the dang thing to the ground and rub the roots when it's felled."

The Khord was waiting for a response, sometihng needed to be done.

(Trying to get some sort of decisive action. Or Almerin's not going to have much to post tomorrow..)

My question here is this.

Are you the group that's going to go room by room trying to clear every spot of the dungeon? or shall I leave the choices and mingling and decision making amongst you all each time there's a option of where to go?

The first option will speed the game up in allowing me to just post where you go and what you see, but could put you in unwanted danger...

The latter, will slow the game down some, because you'll all need to discuss each and every option each and every time.. banter back and forth, quibble argue, debate and so forth about risk assessment vs possible reward (or in this case finding the wife and child you're searching for)

Subject: Choices

The party had been reunited, and the signs of happiness only heightened as Kasenarrion’s unexpected show of divine faith poured forth to heal some of the wounds of her companions. Xaris was standing watch over the door from which the orcs had come forth, while Artanis moved quietly about the fallen enemy in search of anything that might be of benefit for their cause.

Picking through the bloody mess of corpses was not so glorious a task, but when all was said and done, the woman had piled a small collection of items and coin.

88 gp
101 silver
47 copper
4 falchions
1 suit of leather armor (barely held together by stitching and some sticky substance)
Copper ring with many teeth marks in it
String necklace with 5 humanoid fingers strung on it
String necklace with 3 human, 1 elf and 1 gnomish ear strung on it
Waterskin (half full by weight)

(Artanis can decide what to claim along with anyone else if needbe in back posting or q/a but I’m moving on)

What spoils could be collected were, and the party settled back into their preferred marching order. Moving further down the corridor they were now in, the party rounded the corner at the end of the hall to the left. Here, the candle-orbs were spaced further apart, only one every 15 feet, leaving much of the hallway in dim illumination. The hallways continued a great distance ahead, at least one-hundred feet ahead of them, beyond even those with low light or dark vision’s capability of seeing. There were doors lining both the left and right side of the hallway, 2 on the right with 30ft or so between them, and 2 on the left, at about the 20 and 40’ mark from where the party currently stands.

Some choices lie ahead of you.
(see Q/a section please)

is there no 2e version of magic weapon? Its a first level spell in 3e that temporatily grants a weapon a +1 threshold... I'm wondering i it exists in 2e at all, or if possible we can make a customized version..

On that note, I wonder if you'll allow this spell taken from an online House rules ist of spells I found while randomly perusing.

Transfer Spell:
Level: 3
(Abjuration)
Sphere: Protection, Magic
Range: Touch Components: V, S
Duration: Special
Casting Time: 1 rd.
Area of Effect: 1 creature Saving Throw:
None

This spell allows the priest to transfer some small portion of his deity's blessing to an ally, with some restrictions. Firstly, the Ally can be no more than on alignment step away from the priest, nor can they worship an opposing deity. (This extends into simple roleplay, not just fellow priests or divine casting classes)
Secondly, transfer spell only allows spells of up to second level, and with a range of 'touch' to be transfered. Only one spell may be carried by an ally at any given time, and the priest is without that spell for as long as the recipient carries it, or until the priest prays the following day, thus robbing the recipient of ther borrowed blessing.

I think it's a decent spell, but I'll leave the choice to you, Im just hoping it will allow some flexibility in my limited spellcasting.

I was in Stratford von Avon when I was 8 years old with my dad for one of those weekends, he had ties to whomever held it so I could sit in on it I was freaked out of my gourd but had a wonderful time. No wonder I love playing clue so much!

Emmy.. I had intended on Pming you actually, about Emmerus talking to Bishop abner about borrowing some templars and revisiting the woods... So Jozan's chaacter and maybe some npcs... because he knows in his heart that the drad is doing the killing... Ghast's are one thing but she's killing indiscriminatey... the woodsman and whatnot are innocents in this ordeal..

Thoughts on the matter?

Subject: The room

Xaris moves to stand in front of the door from which the orcs had come out. Peering in, he is met with a small room with four bunks The beds are little more than timber and hay, the sheets likely stolen from passing victims, soiled and filth ridden. In one corner lies a small table, upon which sit a pair of knucklebone dice, some worn cards, a short dagger more the size of a stiletto or letter opener, and a low burning candle.

On the wall hangs a tattered piece of cloth, with markings which could perhaps resemble the bearings of a clan symbol of a bloody eye within a crescent moon.

The room is bare of any other accoutrements as far as Xaris can tell, and the room thankfully is empty of any other movement or life.

The donating of the church ministry is fine..

PLaying midweek if need be is fine as well (I do enjoy friday sessions and I know Aryn and DM/Brianna can make next friday's game, though it does sadden me that cdnflirt will miss another, I'm thinking friday seems the most logical unless everyone else posts othere when they are available.

(I love Stratford von Avon's muder mystery weekends!)

Uh yeah. As said before unless someone really objects, Emmy would like to use the mace with the light spell... The flail (worth 250gp can go back into the part treasure) Or possibly sold to add some coin to our purses since noone has a weapon prficinecy to wield the flail and I don't particularly see anyone taking that particular WP..)
(Remember, each identification costs 200gp until we at least get Derry or Cdnflirt up a few more leves to do it ourselves..and Our party treasure is empty, and Emmerus can't keep footing the bills lol

Anything else in the party treasure as far as Emmy is concerned is up for use or sale by other members.. (Does anyone use Shields other than emmerus by chance? I'm just curious more than staking a claim on it.)

After sme effort, Loriel, with the aid of othes who could spare an arm, hoisted Aelistae, then Linnix up from the depths of the room below. It was obvious Aelistae now carried two backbacks, a shirt of chain slung over her shoulder as well.

In the better lit hallway stil lined with all the candle orbs, the chain looked as though while in neglect from disuse, the meta links were still strong and flexible.

Linnix too, now carried a new sword at her side. The light in the hallway reflected off the crisp metal blade which hung through the loop of a scabbard at her hip. The blade, wiped free of the thick layer of webbing that covered it as Linnix inspected it at the comment of others, (I'm sure someone will mention the arrival of new gear) seems to radiate a faint blue glow, dimmer than a candle but like a blue hazy aura surrounding the blade.

Abraham is the most respected and hghest level caster we know for identifying.. so pay him..

If people wanna pitch in for the costs then by all means it'll help keep the party money and Emmerus' purse a little fuller.

and 3gp a week living expenses is fine for me.. (though for weeks when I'm n Bridhale me thinks Emmerus would stay in the parish or ministry dorms, attending morning prayer and evening mass and such as time allows for roleplay factor. (Keep the 3gp cost if you lke we'll just say he donates it to the church for his keep)

Kasennerion calls upon the power of her ancestral patron Pelor for some healing in her time of pain and need. She called out for her patron, but it was not Pelor that answered her call. In her mind a voice rang out strong and clear.

"Child of the youngest race yet touched of golden grace, I hear your call. You are far from the realms of he whom you call Pelor. I, Tyr, shall bless you in this time of trouble. Carry on your crusade under my banner, take up sword and shield and continue your quest to rid this realm of evil and I shall be there with you every step of the way. I have read your heart, and judge you worthy of my blessings. Will you follow in my army of hope, to rest eternal in my kingdom of the faithful and just?"

(As he speaks you are imbued with the knowledge of Tyr's Dogma, his purpose and his alignment.)

So I'll use one of your clerical level 0 spells for the cure minor wounds..
