Kyara grimaced as sdhe dismounted and put weight on her left leg. The arrow was still lodged solidly in her thigh. However, she would have to deal eith that later. Ducking down she moved forward towards where she had heard and continued to hear Virif as well as the other guards.

She kept a lookout for any tracks or other .sighs of their enemies. Here bow string half drawn arrow nocked and ready.

She made sure to look up a well just in ase anyone was in the trees,

Subject: Arriel'lyndara

Arriel’lyndara had arrived early at the gases leading into Palderton, just as the mysterious letter had requested. She found a comfortable spot off to the side and waited as others begin to gather at this point as well, figures of every size and shape from all walks of life. She did not take part in the impromptu conversations that went on around her, though she kept her ears open for any useful information. It didn’t take to long to get the notion that all those who were gathering here had also received s letter similar to hers. After a little idle chatter it becomes apparent that each and every one of you here has received the same letter of invitation, invitation to join the mysterious Orion Group.

After not to long a tome after the appointed hour wagons draped in deep blue made there way towards those waiting outside the gates simply because they did not stay on the road through the gates into the city proper. A well dressed man steps out of the front wagon and comes to greet the group of assembled adventurers. He appears at first glance to be human, and as it were he is, his chain shirt is brightly polished, the rapier at his hip seems to be very well made, and the cloak he wears is the same shade of blue as the wagons. With a brief bow and a smile he looks over the group and finally introduces himself, as Leo Sigh vat, and that he would escort them all to wherever they were going which was wherever the Orion Group. He wastes no time getting back into the front wagon, leaving no time for questions or comments, making it clear that anyone who isn't in a wagon when they leave gets left behind.

Arriel was one of the last to get in the last wagon not comfortable with all the secrecy and lack of information. She was less pleased when she realized she could not see out of the covered wagon. She contented herself with embroidering the collar of one of her newest shirt counting her stitches, one way she had to gauge the passing of time. The escorts in the wagons stop anyone trying to exit until Leo comes poking his head in to request that you join him outside. Any shadows that passed over the wagon she made sure to pay attention. They gave her a hint of the direction they were traveling. These were skills she was trained in and they were being put to the best use she could.

Finally there was an end to the travel. They were let out and assembled again as the wagons were driven off empty. Arriel examines her surroundings including the position of rhea sun and its height above the horizon. The simple cottage that stood nearby seemed to be nothing worth of interest and for that reason Arriel knew it was something—something she would find out about soon enough. She really didn’t like the ever smiling escort Leo. As he motioned them towards the cottage Leo addressed them once again, "While this may look like a normal cottage, and in fact if you were to enter it now you would find yourself in a normal cottage." His voice droned on. To which Arriel lent half an ear. Arriel made no move to examine the cottage.

At this they were each given a ring, a 'key', to The Orion Citadel. This is Arriel had been waiting for. It was a signet ring, the same color blue as his cloak and the wagons with a large O on it. Once everyone has their ring on Leo motions the group to once again pass over the threshold into the cottage, only this time the cottage is gone, and instead the party finds themselves standing at the gates of a bustling town hidden way from the world.

They are hustled toward the center of the town and a fortified keep. Arriel notices shops of various types though most people are dressed in the Azure blue of the Orion Group. Once at the keep Leo guides directs them all to a set of thick, dark, wooden double doors, pushing the door open he motions each of you forward and follows behind you as you head toward a large throne-like chair at the end of a strip of azure carpeting lined with many torches and statues of warrior types. At the edge of the lane of carpet the figure on the large chair motions you to stop and rises to his feet before addressing your guide, "Leo, I take it this is the newest batch of recruits you have brought for us? I do hope they fare better than the last group you brought me..." He trails off slightly as he scans over each member of the group making mental notes about each before addressing the party, "Welcome, friends, to The Orion Group, I'm sure you have many questions, most of which will be answered later, but first I think we need to know more about each of you." With that he points to each member one by one

When invited the newbies to introduce themselves one by one Arriel Faded to the back and bided her time. Being last she could probably get away with saying less because they would all be ready to move things on and get where they were going.

“I am Arriel’lyndara of Silverwood, I have trained a bit as a scout and ranger.”

"A mission to nowhere," Brianna grimaces. "Currently we are two groups that arrived here from different places. The tall amazon woman strode quickly through the tall lush meadow grasses, until she neared the horses she released the hold she had on his long forelock. Brianna waved him away. The big black war horse took a leap sideways kicking up hs heels and galloped towards the grazing horses.

"Come and meet the others," Brianna offered. She took some time to observe the fighting man.

"This Pelor you serve, is he lord or king?"

Brianna lets herself drop to her feet from where she hung of the said of Shadowbane. and stood d alongside of the Druidess. I do not know this Pelor he serves. So you?" she asks Soronuume.

Brianna signed deeply. Your lost too eh? You have asked the wrong people. We came through that gateway just earlier but we do not know where this place is, Only thatis not our world."

Gesturing at the red dragonette hiding behind her red hair she says, "This little fellow and Precious know where we are but all they say is that they are home now and day we have to go West to get to some big river that will lead us to other people."

Briana brought up her horn to her lips and blew a long note, alerting the camp. Instinctively she swung halfway off the left side of Shadowbane's neck with but a hand tangled in this mane and her leg hooked over his back to keep her on him.

Most of that was done from her fighter's instinct for survival. It was only after that that she was all to process what she had heard as well Who ever had called out had been trying to warn her of attack and apparently protect her. Perhaps there was more than on up there.

"Who are you she calls out form behind Shadowbane's body, why did you attack Flame?" Brianna calls out loudly, and then clarifies that last bit. "...my Dragonette."

I am going to build something off of Favorite soul. Not sure yet about any particular PC class. There are some advantages with this class that could be useful.

MD I need to know something aobut who might have put me in here. As a NG Favorite I am having a bit of a problem coming up with why she was given life imprisonment. Unles the "Perssin responsible is tyrantical, a megalomaniac, a despot, malevolent or or any combination of the above so a litle background information of the authority that did this to all of us would be appreciated greatly.

Brianna welcomed all the new arrivals. While you all get settled in I will go out and stand watch. We have not been bothered so far but that does not mean we will not be." If I find anything I will sound my horn, she patted the curved horn at her side. Taking up her bow and sword she moves out to the edge of the meadow and whistles for Shadowbane.

Slipping on the bitless bridle on his head, she deftly avoided his quick nip of displeasure. The nose piece looses enough to allow him to bite. The tall well build Amazon woman swung up on his back in one fluid motion. Uncasing her bow she strings the recurved composite bow.

Brianna rode out into the meadow keeping watch on the camp area and it environs. Seeing nothing she began to ride around the knoll to make sure nothing was creeping up on then from behind the knoll. She made it quick setting Shadowbane off at a gallop, her flaming red hair flowing from under to hair band. She laughed in simple enjoyment of the breeze in her face and the fell of a fine horse between her legs. She was enjoying the warmth of the sun in a clear sky arching overhead. A blue so bright it reminded her of the Great Plains of her homeland—a lost homeland in a lost world now. Brianna would not let the dark thoughts to dim the beauty of the day she shook her head. She would make her way in this new world as best she can.

Suddenly a diminutive scarlet winged sinuous form shoots like an arrow out of the forest straight towards the Amazon but since her back was turned, she obviously did not see it approach but Xander does from his hill top location.

Kyara was ready to interrogated brigands know what she knew as well as what she had discovered back at the wagons but she heard the dwarf bellowing his challenge out in the woods and she moved that way cantering off in that direction. She picked up her hunting horn and blew a long melodic note that wafted through the air. She wanted to let the dwarf know she was coming--or at least someone was. The unknown fact of how many might be coming could spook them into fleeing the confrontation.

Well she could at least hop e that they would but she would bet her life on that hope so she dded a little diversion.

Once she in honed on on a direction from tracks or sound she slips off Moondancer sending him forward with a spank on her muscular rear, she took off on a slightly different track letting Moondancer attract attention to his crashing through the undergrowth. She notched and arrow and had it half drawn as ahe snack through the woods, looking for that dark skinned elf as well.

While ahe had said she had fled from the others they had only her word., Though their prisoner had tried desperately to get her back to someone called Linus, The young woman was clearly terrified by that thought.

"What ever evil has perpetrated this tragedy" must be twrted, I commite myself to do this.

I really like the Scout class. A mixture of ranger and rougue I always chose fighting style Archery since they are lightly armor users only. Also add PC of Order of the Bow Initiate then add.I really like ranger but then I found scout.

Another combination I like is sorcer favorite could with Mystic Thurge

I am building a 33rd lvel character and I thought about Druid 19 Master of Many Forms 10 half celestial With those level I ain the abilities of all the creatures or plants I can turn into including those of a dragon or Gargantuan.

There was a sharp sting in her thigh. An arrow from somewhere out in the woods hit her as she galloped towards the attackers. Kyara grimaced as the arrow stuck her with a solid thunk, she could feel the warmth of her blood flowing down her leg, but now was not the time to deal with the injury. Kyara separated herself from the pain letting it pass from notice. There were both the brigands on in the open and those hidden in the woods with bows and the strange elf who had disappeared.

Kyara away the second brigand breaks free of the entangling vegetation. Moon Dancer was well train scouts horse, she had trained him herself. However, she is not a war horse, riding her against a well armed and set enemy risked he beyond what Kyara would do. She halted her charge well short of the man but at point-blank range, drew back her bow string till it was taut. Focusing on the man she let the deadly shaft fly
.
Kyara is already is drawing another arrow and drawing it back ready to shoot another at the Brigand urging Moon Dancer to circle the figure with knees and heels, which freed Kyara to guide her while her hands are occupied with using her bow.

A fleeting thought crossed her mind as she circled the brigand quickly trying to get him to break his stance and aavoid, as much as possible, being hit s=again by another arrow., someone in their group used arcane arts. whe would wonder about thqt later though.

She didn't like that at all but could not wait around to figure out what had happened.

Whirling Moondancer back to the road. Kyara spots some roughly dressed brigands struggling through heavy entwining undergrowth, she fires her already notched arrow at the closest and then draws and notches another her motion smooth and sure from hours of practice. Keeping her horse moving she searches for any other target While she charges the second brigand intent on running him down or forcing him to take a defensive action..

Kyara moved off the road intent on hunting something for the cook pot, instead she caught sight of a humanoid figure hiding in the trees watching the road, fortunately it had not seen hear. Behind her she heard the huge hound bark and then GROWL, along with the cries of a wounded nan and the merchant shouting.

If the figure drops to th ground sh will motion hr stallion to finish him off. Moondancer is truly more than a simpl mount, he is her companion-at-arms. Kyara quietly drew her bow and nocked anothr arrow, drawing it back smoothly to full draw she targets the humanoid she had spotted hiding in a tree.

Once she aimed and released her string which hurled the arrow and snatched another from her quiver, notching and drawing it ready to fie again.Kyara plans is to put this enemy down then move on coming in behind whoevr is attacking the caravan.

She paused a moment though before mounting, looking towards the scruffy dog. She shook her head at his condition matted hair A person should own an animal unless they took care of it. She looked to where the man know and Raid share a waterskil with the cleric. SHe would have to speek to him later.

I am I respinded on the thread of Core Rules as to my class interest and setting/terrain of interest. But to repeat. I would play and Elven Ranger/Scout, currently free-lancing, Temperate terrain, Mix of mostly outdoors/wilderness, mountain. valleys, plains mixed lands, with some urban and perhaps a little bit of a dungeon or cave system thrown in for spice. I am not a huge fan of Dungeon Crawls

I much prefer a rich worldwide setting and the ability to move about the world as we as a group are lead by the situations we will find ourselves in Of course Dm can cleverly hint us a direction..

Bronwyn sat quietly in the dining hall, hands folded into her lap as she listened carefully while others did the talking. It was something Magda, her mentor, had taught her along with the magic. “When you are in a new situation, you can learn much more by listening attentively and observing closely.” Well this might not be a new position, oe it might be, but Bronwyn thought it a good idea to follow Magda’s advice for the time being. So she did just that.

Lord Bartholomew, newly raised in his position, was an easy man to deal with. He was still very much the same man he had been as a prosperous farmer. Bronwyn treated him with the respect of his new position, especially as she was his guest at this tine. He had asked her to remain here as h had no magic user, but she was undecided as of yet. However, she had some time to consider since her elven guide had ridden off to deliver some message to her people as a result of the battle they had gotten mixed up with. Until she returned, Bronwyn had no other alternative than to remain as Lord Bartholomew's guest. Being who she was, she felt a bit guilty about accepting his hospitality without doing something in return for him.

Bronwyn decided she would continue to make such scrolls and potions as she could and present a useful one or two as a departing guest gift-for his hospitality.
