I wasn't reeling rained upon. I just wanted clarification.

So, D&D style it is. Your are injured and functional until you are dead or unconsious. Got it.

How numb are Inga's fingers? Somewhat numb but still can function, or totally num and incapable to moving?

By rubbing her hands briskly can she get them to work. Left hand is not so important ans right since she needs her trigger fingers to work. Left arm supports rifle; palm of hand mostly holds the it steady. I believe

Brianna's swords flashed and swirled, dealing death to those who came at her. Mainly her focused was on her attackers and though she risked a look around at her companions. While most of her hits resulted in incapacitating her attackers, none-the-less she was aware of the great number of then still active and fights.

When Vatta called out to Xuor Brianna heard her call. To herself she agreed, “Good idea Vatta.” So far they had done well against their foes. Brianna herself had been minimally injured. The others seemed to still be in the thick of fighting. It appeared that so far their tactics and strategy had been sound. . "Not bad" she mutters to herself again. Each member of they party had stayed true to their own style of fighting and that had kept them all relative whole and effective. Brianna stayed true to her fighting style—the in-your-face, toe-to=toe style.

Brianna knew that her strokes were not coming so fast and hard as they had in the beginning. She had begun to pace herself so that she would be able to last this battle out. After all they still had to help the town that was threatened by the whole Orc and Goblin army still.

I am going to get mounted up and find that man. I swear he will chase down his own death." responds Dae. "You pick up the suppies I mentioned last night the ones you lost. You have the funds. I also agree that you should find him less recognizible clothes. If you can find a cloak of Elven kind,. get it. Now remember I will be out at the shrine of Ehlonna"

"Jason it is a pleasure to have you with us. I may impose on you on so short of an acquaintance, don't let her get to carried away while shopping. She easily gets distracted. Zara, 40 minutes, no later, at the fountain."

Dae strides of to pick up her mount. She left the slashing colored mount for Zara it would appeal to her sense of flamboyance. There were more horses than riders available so she quessed she could pick out the one she wanted.

She surveys the selections and takes time to look them all over. She finally cast communicates with animals and asks them which was brave and willing to carry a fighter, because that is what she was. Talking to each one she finally makes her descision. She was a big dappled golden-red color with flaxen mane and tail, with a white star on her face. Dae led the mare out to the livery man.

"Good choice miss. She a good one indeed. A sweetheart to work with, nothing flashy but very steady in battle, strong and enduring. I have her tack right over here."

The smallish man comes back with a saddle, bridle, breastplate, and breeching, and a bucket of brushes. Setting them on a stand he proceeds to groom the mare.

Even though she was in a hurry she said nothing to the man, was doing his job and not rushing. Dae simple bent down took out a brush and curry comb and started grooming her other side. Working from head to tail top to bottom was how it was done. She finally cleaned out her feet and checked her shoes.

"Just shod miss, 8 nails in each, to keep them on good."

"What is her name," asks Dae and she takes up the saddle and pad and puts each on carefully and then slides them into place. With a quick flip of the cinch she tightens the girth.

"I called her Red. But her name is Carnelian."

Dae fastens on the breastplate and breeching that would keep the saddle in place in battle or going uphill or down. The workmanship of the tack was very high quality but nothing flashing which was find with her. She fasen on her saddle bags thoroughly. Finally she took up the bridle and reins. She looked at the bit to make sure it was smooth with no rough edges, the lifted it up to the mare face ready to slip the bit into the mare mouth and she opened up her mouth without any pressure to take the bit.

Dae slipped the crown piece gently over her ears and adjusted the bit in her mouth.

"Well Carnelian, you do seems to be a sweetie." resoind Dae. Dae got gently nudged with the mare's nose.

"He he he," laught the man, "she is a one for the sweets, she is. Here are some carrot bits I always keep them about. Give this to her. Dae reaches out and picks up a small handful of carrot slices. The mare takes them out of her hand and proceeds to chew them thoroughly. Orange saliva colored the edges of her lips. Dae gave her a pat and then checked the girth and swung up. She reached down and adjusted the stirrups.

"The others are coming. Can you get them all tacked up and ready? I do not know who they will chose but if they are all ready then they can just mount up right away." Dae took the slack out ofher rains and cues her mount to turn and head out the door. For a big mare she handled well pivoting neatly in place and then moving off Dae's leg pressure.

Dae rode out of the livery stable set to following Septimus. She summons her Dieties favorite animal for assistance. A short time later and tiny avian form fluttered into view and spiraled down to her shoulder. I need you to locate a man on a large black stallion he could be up to five miles from here. Then she describes what he was aearing. then describes in another way that this creature might be able to better track him by. His aura is greyish in the green, and muddy, pale red and orange, and muddy blue and purple. Yellow is pale and greyed." she tells the diminuative creature. I really need to find him."

"I go" hissed the sillibant voice and then it darted off Dae's shoulder into the sky and rapidly vanished.

In a quick side word to Zara she aks in Draconic. "What was the duck beneath the table for?"

Zara replies in the same language. "I told the Felani to pretend to be going off on his own as a sell-sword. and to meet us either at the fountain in the center of the market, or at the The Stone Horse Livery.

Dae eyes followed Septimus as he rose and exited the inn's front door. A short time later her keen ears picked up the sound of hooves fading away rather rapidly.

This was not the best start to the day that she had hoped for. She needed to get everyone moving but hopefully in a variety of directions with a common meeting point.

"Well, Gentlemen, I thank you for your company this morning but I rose early to go out to the Shrine of Ehlona about 2 miles out from the Northgate, as quickly as possible. "May the day go well for you and you find what you are looking for easily."

Dae hoped they all understood her message. After hearing Zara's invitation Dae concurs, "Certainly, Reverend Father you are quiet welcome to join us. I do not plan of being there long."

"I hope to meet you again very soon, May the Light shine on you all, this day." There now she hoped they would take her meaning. But how to catch up with the errant man. She had had a plan, but he was gone before she could tell him of it.

"Light," Dae starts to pray. "Guide me."

Subject: Inga

Helo to Station

In the 20 or so minutes that it took to get to the station and through the damaged boor Inga was cold to the bone. She keeps moving about to keep warm though, though stuill acutely aware of her surroundings.

If Inga can get a good look at the doorway ripped off it hinges and still keep on watch she will do so. If not she does communicate her thoughts and asks to check out the door or have someone check out the door. Her question wa; was that door smashed in or out? In other words, did this thing attack from the outside or break out from the inside. They had had no information on what was being done at the station and most likely they will not find out anything from official sources but she bet as they continued on they just might discover some answers for themselves. She takes a step closer to the sergeant, “Sergeant Lee. I was thinking that that door needs to be check out for whether something broke in or broke out.”

When the team stops Inga, the second to the last man, moves a step to the side to see what stopped the team. The partially buried apelike creature covered in white fur immediately made her think of an Abominable Snowman; Inga wonders what her team leader will tell the other team. Inga could almost imagine the conversation in her mind. “Fire Team A, this is Fire Team B. _______We have encounter a dead Yeti. ______Repeat, a Yeti. ______ An Abominable Snowman! _________ _No! This is not a joke. ”

Inga can hardly wait to get a closer look at this thing. Her curious mind quickly processes several thoughts as she waits for orders even as she scans the surroundings, with weapons ready and safety off. Until she is called in, it is her duty to keep watch and be ready. To her mind, with what she knew of Antarctic exploration, there had never been a mention of an Abominable Snowman sighting. This one fact makes her lean towards the idea the enemy had come from within. Conclusion though could not be made at this stage, there were too many unknowns. Finding the Yeti put her on high alert; it was just so strange.

Yeti found

Reality isn's always what you might imagine. Staff sergeant Kane words were different, “Lieuttenant, Kane here, we have gained entrance on our side of the Facility and have found the body of one of those Ape type creatures. I have Cpl Johannsen getting us a DNA sample and then will move further into the building. Any new orders at this time?”

Hearing Sgt Kane's words Inga moved up quickly. Once at the creature she slips on her rifle's safety and slings it on her shoulder. She then hunkers down next to the creature to prevent contact with the frozen ground. She was still feeling the effects of the intense cold but ignored it as she worked. She certainly wasn’t going to wimp out from being colder than she ever had been before, not her. She would not disgrace her Norwegian ancestors.

There were several of those hits in her quick stash in her pants pockets Inga gets one DNA sample kit out , part of her regular medical supplies for when bodies were found with out enough identifiable parts whether they were victims of bombs, or whatever. Each kit contained sterile gloves, scissors, scalpels and swabs and several vials with labels to put sample in, and swabs. She knows she will have to off her gloves and put on medical gloves to take the sample as so they are as pure as possible but she waits until all the kit supplies are set out She plans ahead to minimize the time that she has to keep them off.

When everything was set up she stripped off her gloves and slipped on the surgical gloves. Inga worked quickly but surely. She opened up one vial at a time and closed it before opening a second vial and so on. She took hair samples, a swab of the mouth, and a piece of flesh and tried to scrape up and bit of blood where she could find it. Each vial was already set up for each type of sample so as soon as she had the sample cut sealed in the vials she placed them in a plastic bag and sealed it tight. Then she took off the gloves inside out to prevent anything from getting on her—never knew what might be contaminating bodies.

Inga slipped on her thermal gloves as soon as she could, but even in that short time her hands were freezing. She flexed her fingers several times trying to get then limber enough write on the outer label. She labels the outside of the last bag and stashes into her medical kit.

“Staff Sergeant, Kane. I have finished the DNA samples. Inga rose up from her hunkered down position. Lifting her rifle from her shoulder she checks it out and out the safety off. Inga continued to work her finger to get some warmth back into them.

Geim had been ready to tell everyone to back off and led the creature away, while keeping themselves out of the way. Again her hits had hardly done any real damage. The next best spell he had he could not use while everyone was gathered around the beast attacking it. What spell turned solid ground to mud and the big beastie would have a difficult time in slippery mud. Only he couldn't do that now.

Malius was clasped tightly in the beast jaws and it wasn't letting go. They couldn't back off and leave Maius without their every attempt to get him free. Frustration didn't even begin to scratch the surfaceof how he felt her first three attempts to damage this abberant creature.

So Geim did something that was perhaps surprising for an old man of his years. He took out his silk rope and tossed one end around the creatures leg and he ties it off and wraps the rope around his next leg and begins to pull up the slack. He calls out as he does this "Does any one have oil and fire available. Douse it with oil and set it ablaze. I can hal Maius if he is not bitten in half first. I am going to try and trip it.so be ready."

Geim hopes the beast will trip and fall as he tries to move. Then they all may have a chance when it goes down to get malius free and then he can soften earth and erhaps prevent the creature from rising.

Val gets up off the ground then shakes and dusts the sand off her clothes. Her inglorious dive to the dunes did not fill her with self-admiration, but then for her it was about staying alive and not interfering with others when it came to a fight that she could not contribute to. Still it ate at her sense of self worth.

Val joins En’Aranthea as she made her way easily enough over the ground with her longer stride. Val's only saving grace was she was a light weight. She figured she could at least help to tie the rogue up or keep a weapon on him except she didn't think he would be impressed with her weapon skill. Now it might works if she pointed her finger at him and speaks a short poem in Sylvari. She didn’t think the human would understand,

En’Aranthea gets to the man first. Val is just a step or two behind. She lets En’Aranthea do the talking while she stood off a bit but looked right at the man with a dark glower. Val hoped she looked dark and glowering and not like she had indigestion or something. This is something she was going to have to practice doing in a mirror—at another time.

Val looks over to En’Aranthea and says in the Common tongue, "If he makes a wrong move I will fry him where he stands." She then holds up her hands and weaves them together in what she hopes is a totally convincing manner and intones the words of her favorite short poem in Sylvari. It has a good sing song quality since it was so short. Hopefully En'Aranthea would not reveal her ruse when she hears Val’s incantation in Sylvari, "I never saw and purple cow. I never hope to see one, but I can tell you anyhow, I would rather see, than be one."

Well this "chicky" has the same cold damage as you do, moderate. Does it make sense to her background? No! She is a big girl who is a skier and frequenlt vacations in her parent birth country Norway. By the way Size does made a difference regardong heat loss.

But what the hey, the dice rolled badly for us. Now to my knowledge of cold, the quick move in should not have been so damaging, as to make two con rolls. Unless we covered a lot of distance and it took us over 15 minutes to get inside. The time detail was not indicated.

Do we have handwarmer and other kidney and pocket warmers.

"Save you magic for more important things. I have bathed myself for years....and dressed myself too." comments Dae on her half sister's decadent use of magic. "I am going down to order breakfast and check on a few things. She moves to the door and opens looks out. Dae had already prayed with the rising of the sun--the coming of Light for the day.

Walking over to Jason's and the Cleric's room she knocks on the door. "The sun is rising, we must be ready to leave as soon as possible.

Dae then heads downstairs. She keep her eyes open and actively looks around the room missing nothing. There is the ubiquitious pot of porriege hanging over coals in the fireplace on one side and a nice fire built up to take the chill off from the damp morning air.

There were not a lot of customers in the room which was typical of higher class inns. Rich people moved in their own good time. Poor people answered to others and were frequently up and moving with the sun rise.

Then welcome, indeed," responds Dae outloud to the unusual form of communication. "I wouldn't recommend taking this room." Jason, can our new party member bunk with you tonight?" I will take Septimus's things, while you show the good cleric to your room."

Once inside she moves over to Zara who is on their shared bed now and Septimus sleeps, hopefully on Zara's bed.

"You watch for now I need to make a quick trip to the Temple of the Light. That he accepted your offer surprised me. For that we will keep him safe. I will be back as quickly as possible. Take care I do not think the man he killed tonight was the one he guards himself against."

Dae cast Santuary on Septimus. Dae hurries out to her temple and confers with the High Priest. She leaves a tithe to the church for the services for the unfortunate soul. She says a prayer for his soul, while in the Circle of Light. It doesn't have to be informative, The Light knew, It is just a prayer for those who have passed beyond this mortal coil. She also prays for the success of their mission and for all those who are part of the party. Dae returns to her room and bed and sleeps until wakened by Zara for her turn at watching over Septimus.

She did notice that he features sometimes softened as he slept and dreamed and other times they grew harsh and hard when his dream were more nightmare than dreams of better times. When he was restless she used a very soft easy shushing to lull him back to sleep. Like a guardian angel she stood there near him until morning's first light crept in their window. She was tempted to let him sleep longer but she wanted to be on the move as quickly as possible.

"Septimus," she called out to him, "Wake up. Morning breaks."

"Zara. Rise and shine."

Inga had taken time to study the map carefull committing as much as she could to memory. The visual memory was pretty good it is what had helped her a lot in school. If she had seen it and studied it she mostly remembers it. She put the map away in her breast pocket. Relying on just memory was not always the seat thing to do. It went back to that old saying being prepared was half the battle.

In that same vain she follow the Sg.t orders to check her gear over make sure her guns had clips in and the safeties on--at least until they hit the ground. Then it was safeties off. It took Inga only a bit longer thatn the rest because she had not only her own pack but the med pack to go through.

That done Inga turns to Staff Sgt. Kane. "Staff Sgt, I've finished checking my gear will you look over mine while I look over yours?" Inga picked up both of her packs and brought them over to him carring her rifle over one shoulder and her sidearm in the holster for now. Her dagger is also in its sheath fastened in to prevent it loss.

Dae looked the man over his aura was clear, his colors not muddied or dark.

"This man tried to harm or kill a member of the group I am with. He has people who are after him and he seeks to avoid them knowing where he is." Dae begins a very abreviated edition for the stanger.

"My comrade foiled his attempt but we are currently trying to keep our presence here unknown to but a few. Stories such as these spread quickly and the wrong ears may hear them. I will inform my temple so the proper prayers may be said for his soul."

"Now, I must bid you good night, for it is fading fast. Though I do thank you in advance for your silence and understanding."

Dae walks forward to shake the man's hand, to seal their bargain. It was then she noticed, the signet ring on his hand. It was not his holy symbol but the signet of the Prince." She help his hand a moment longer.

"It never cesses to amaze me how our Deities arrange these things." Dae points to his hand with the Prince's signet. "Who gave you that ring?" she asks evenly.

Dae turns to the words spoken behind her. "Death happened." she said calmy. "Most likely deserved but still unfortunate. This one was bent on mayham if not murder."

"May I ask who you are?" Dae uses her question to give her time to study the man. Satisfied, she finished what she had started to do with a word of Elven, the body disappears from the floor.

The good Priest of Vecna could feel a papable aura of good around the elven woman.

"I am Dalyndra Goldenwings, Favored of the Light." adds Dae by way of introduction. "I ask for your silence on this matter, it is important that no word of this gets out. though I plan to report it to my temple.

"Jason, if you will finish up gather all the belonging in here it would be appreciated. Be careful of the dagger, touch it only by the hilt." Dae repeats after the interuption. A complication they did not need, but it happened.

"Where is Septimus now and is he hurt?" ask Dae

"I will go take care of the body." Dae response quietly with a prayer of the soul of whoever it was. "Would you open his room for me the door is locked or blocked."

Dae was not sure what she would find inside his room since she hadn't heard any sounds of a skuffle. Zara's prick on the thumb is what had woken her. She steps outside their room's door again ansd waits for Zara to come out and magically open his door.

Going inside she moves over to the body and examines it . SInce it wan't totally black out she was able to use her low-light vision to examin the dead man.

It was a rough sort of man his clothes worn and a bit shabby, several scars from what was obviously knife or sword wounds. His hair was covered by a scarf tied around about his head condining his greasy hair.

She finally found a small cut which should have in no way been enough to cause death except if the blade was poisoned.

Her face stiffened, She did not like poison. A fair fight, skill to skill, weapon to weapon, was her style.

But ther was no good reson to split up and very good reason for them to keep together. Their strategy was working; they were avoiding a lot of hits. Oh, some got in but that was to be expected, with them so out numbered, even though she was well armored with physical and magic armor.

It was not luck; it was good fighting strategy and tactics. So when Highnar move toward Logan and Lorae Brinns moved with him keeping cover on the stalwart dwarf as he battle his way forward. Dae turned at the sound of the male's voice She had heard someone coming up the stairs and had turned around to see who it was. Her hand was on her sword, but it was not drawn. If she needed to fight it could and ready faster than most people could use a weapon already drawn.

She saw the flash of a holy symbol, while not common she new it from her studies of religion. It was the Holy symbol of Vecuna, God of Mysteries.

The man's words cam as he saw her. They made her smile which lit up her face. "No thank you good priest. I am turning in for the night," once she found out what had happend to Zara.

"Peace be with you this night. May the Light shine on your awakening." Dae carries the Symbol of the light around her neck. Dae nods to the man and opened the door to her and Zara's room, intent on finding out what was going on.

When she gets inside it is just about the time Zara is trying to manuvers the huge wolverine (not that Dae can really tell what it is yet.) she had wrapped herself around, into the window. Dae was ready to start forward not sure if the beast was hanging onto Zara or Zara was hanging onto the beast. "What is the Light's name is that and what are you doing with it?"

Once Zara got it in and let it go Dae got a good look at the creature. Outside of a Dire wolverine it was one of the biggest natural ones she had ever seen.

"Light what are you planning to do it it and what happen out there?" she asks as she steps over to the window. "I didn't find anything out in the halls that might have triggered the alarm you set."

Outside in the dampening drizzle that was steadily increasing Dae saw, three figures. The dwarf was a stranger though easy to spot next to Septimus still in his dark clothes, and what looked like Jason. "Hello she calls down softly. "Are you coming up or what?"

Character names and players login names are listed as well as link to mail. Just wondering.

Subject: Val

Val's first instinct is to dive for cover, reason has her steeping behind behind one fore-front fighters in in her party. Magic was great but it ran out fast, so for know she used physical weapopns to aid in the fightshe would just keep out of the way of the fighters. The few offenssive spells she had she would save. The only ranged spells she had were Magic Missiles, Flare and Sleep that might really affect opponents.

For now she would save her spells and keep herself hidden from their opponents by ducking behind whatever cover she could find. SHe had to let the fighter and the Paladin have to opportunity to fight without worrying about her. So she steps behind one of the fighters and then drops low to the ground to minimize her exposer as a target. It may not be heroic, but she was not a fighter. and had not armor, she was being a practical as she could be in this situation--stay alive to use her spells when they might make a difference.

Subject: Dalyndra

Dalyndra rose in one motion taking up her sword, even as she crosses the room. "Zara check outside I will check the hallway and rooms." With that Dae opens the door the faintest crack so she could look out with nothing in the hall she opens the door then shuts it behind her. She moves off to Septimus's door and listen to it then tries it. It is locked against her and unless she were to try to bash in the stout door that would be it.

She cast Detect Evil and wait for any hint of evil, however there was no evil close by, which should have reassured her but didn't--not completely.
