Rhiana was a the com screen when Sienae setpped into the sitting room. She was engrossed in study the computer readout. She had poured over medical information available, directly related to muscle and nerve regentation and rehibilitation that were available from the computer.

Rhiana stands and salutes as appropriate. "Yes Centurion, you will live though your back will not get better any faster unless you get it seen too on a regular basis. It is not something I can handle as well as Star Fleet can."

"I have been looking over medical information they have available, especially on nerve and muscle regeneration. They certainly have some new treatments and medicines that have had good results with humans and Vulcans."

"Centurion, I recomment that you go see their chief medical officer and see what he can do for you. I have to say it but Star Fleet does seem to vare much about rehibilitating their personnel and not just cashiering them out of Star Fleet as unfit like we do. The sooner the better for your recovery."

"I do be getting looks, but what do you expect when a dwarf marches thorugh Sylvari streets," he says.

"Loda, I remember I owe you a drink, lass and I think my coinage would spread to a first round for everyone so long as nobody chooses anything very fancy."

Siliwen keeps tabs on the results. So far two are commiitted though if she remember right they all would be needed to have any chance at success. Still everyone should have the freedom to choose.

"You know mow might be a good time to try to enlist the aid of the Lizard folk. They would most likely like the pirates gone as well. It would certainly help us out too."

SIliwen turns to the Anya, "It seems you know much more about what is happening than we do. And you said our best bet is to head for the Grey peaks find this object, first or take it away form those who have it before they can truly use it and defeat the leader of the opposing forces."

Siliwen shakes her head in disbelief. "My own magics are minimal. I am just starting out. I can see no seasoned warriors or cleric amongst our numbers. We are rather slender reeds to be used against a mighty foe that has so far done what he has please for 50 years. He has been reparing, by gathering his forces building them up, perhaps already has found this item. We were barely able to survive the four Na'sir that attacked us." Almost to soft to be heard SIliwen adds "The Gods can't be that hard up for mightly heros that we were chosen for this alone." louder she finishes. "I just don't see us up to this task yet we truly have been given no alternative. We were told our own world may well suffer as well. I do not like it when there are no alternatives."

"I don't know about the rest of you but I feel betrayed, if not by the Gods then by whatever brought us here. I could lend a hand and do what I could to help but i looks like the whole responsibility for this rests on us alone. So I am willing to listen to what some of you others have to say since you are in the same situation as I am."

The task seems so overwhelming even if all they do is travel to the Grey Peaks and try to find this object of Evil. THe place must be crawling with the minions of the Dark One hunting for the same thing. THere were such a small group with so inexperience for this endevor that it seemed doomed to failure even if they did all work together as a team. THe odds were badly stacked against them.

Ariellyn was up with the sun as was her daily routine. bathed and clean she brushed down her clothes before putting hem back on. She had gone down to the tavern early to break her fast. She ordered bread and cheese and porriage with cream and honey liberally covering it. THe bread she toasted over a fire and then folded it around the cheese of a sandwich she could eat later. Out side she filled her waterskin with fresh water.

Ariellyn had noticed the coach being prepared in the courtyard. It also seemed there were mounted outriders. This could present a problem in that she had not horse, she was on foot.

Finding a convient barrel Ariellyn sits off to the side and waites for others to appear. AS Aldern Foxglove came out she stood and and reintroduced herelf more formally.

"A fine new day, My Lord Aldren, I am Ariellyn Windsong and I am pleased to join you this day." And Ariellyn was pleased, she wouldn't make it her buiness to tell a lord what to do in his own lands, but she could make sure the boar was killed cleanly and quickly as possible given the opportunity to do so.

Ariellyn moved forward to greet Lord Aldern Foxglove with graceful strides of her race. Her mighty bow in its case over her shoulder and quiver of arrows. on her hip. Her aqqua eyes rivaled the bringhtest of the morning sky.

On a game I play with some very experienced players and DM's there is a simple way to run diputes. THey person who thinks that the rule says something else bet eXP points that he/she is right and then has to prove it my looking ot up. IF they are right DM gives them ESP if they are wrong they lose the ESP bet. Mostly anywhere from 50-500 depending of level of sharacter. This was DM rules hold until they prove it and you don't have to waste your time or effort, especially if you feel you are in the right. However be perpared to give way gracefully if they are right.

Northpoint is perhaps the closet port for their forces and they could be thinking of using or byuilding ships which would make it easy for them to move theire forces without much resistance to anywhere they want to. In the oplans are their many trees. THey may be looking for a port with ships or trees for building ships if not enough are available in the Uplands. ?

Siliwen looks at the map again. "What are they Dark woods here."

"I will need to make a copy of this map. We are going to need it."

Topic: Rise of the Runelords
Subject: Ariellyn

Ariellyn hears the invitation to join the other group. She is of a divided mind on whether or not to join them. The presences of the orc or half-orc, she couldn’t quite decide which, made her stay put for now but when he departed she picked up her drink and plate and moved gracefully though the still rather full tavern to the table where the other "heroes" had gathered. Her heavy cloak still about her and her bow case and quiver the only weapons showing.

Before sitting she introduced herself. "I am Ariellyn Windsong." I arrived just this morning to Sandpoint. Interesting place." she says is a neutral tone--her words imply more than her tone does. "May I have the pleasure of your names? I arrived too late to hear the stories of your exploits today." Her voice had a soft musical quality of her race--even though speaking the common tongue.

Ariellyn waits until introductions are maid both ways and then moves to sit down. Her clothes are well cut and made but only have simple adornment of embroidery in colored threads about the edges of the neck and hems. Her headband was a single band of silver twisted and sculpted but without engraving or jewels--mostly functional. Her silver white hair hung in long curls at the back the side though were gathered back and up by the headband. The fire light warms her creamy skin with a golden color. Her lips and cheeks are colored like a pale blush on an apricot. Her eye were startlingly pal and of an unusual color being sea green like aqua but greener) and almost translucent. Ariellyn features were unmistakably elven, high cheekbones, a delicately sculpted face, high arched eyebrows large eyes and their distinctive pointed ears. Though slender she had the look of a person of action and not some hot house flower. her hands on her drink were long and graceful though they must be strong enough to pull the mighty composite bow on her back. IT was fashioned of some very dark wood, as were the shafts of all her arrows the stuck out of her beautifully crafted leather quiver. Her arrows were identically fletched in the same type of feathers, and with a band of bright bluegreen near the notch for ease of identification.

All-in-all she was quiessentialy elven.

She continues easily, "Do the goblins usually cause this much of a problems around here."

FLASH BACK
In another part of Sandpoint

Ariellyn walk as quietly towards the Rusty Dragon by a quieter side street. Her "medal of heroism" now in her pouch. THe last few parents with their children now safely back to them having thanked her for standing in to defend the school house. IT was a close thing though and not a situation she had wanted to face again very soon. She had used up nearly all her arrows when the last goblin attacking what serve as the school house in Sandpoint was free of the attacking horde of goblins.

Ariellyn thought back to just this morning as she had enter the town of Sandpoint on the vernal, the first day of fall. As typical of most agraian societies that measured the passing of seasons with festivals. Sandpoint was rigged out in finery for the "sweallowtail Festival" SHe had thought that she would take in the festival and rest this day before she would try to find a new group to travel with. There was some possibility that other adventurers would be drawn here for the same reason. She could only hope.

Absently Aielwyn rubbed her recently fracture arm. It ached just a bit from the contant strain from shooting her new bow. It was much stronger than her previous one. and that had really helped her down the goblins. It had taken her some time to gather all her srrows. THey fact that they were made of darkwood helped her find them faster and reduced her loss from breakage. She as smoothed their feathers and replaced them in her quiver. SHe also looted the bodies for any valuables. Where the goblins were going they would need nothing. At least that put a bit of coinage in her poscket for now.

Ariellyn moved steadily towards the Rusty Dragon. She had been invited too but wasn't sure she wanted to, but why not. She would partake of free food and drink for what she had done and it would help her coins go further in the days ahead.

CURRENT
The Rusty Dragon

Things were already in full swing as Ariellyn quietly entered the tavern. rather tall for an elven woman., with silver hair and bright sea green eyes like the color of a tropical ocean wave with the light shining through it dressed in simple traveling outfit of dark forest green pants and a dark forest greenn jerkinn, over a sea green tunice. Ariellyn cloak was dark grey lined in a patterned green lineing. One group was being hailed as heroes as she moved up to the barkeep and ordered food and drink quitely. She tool out her medal only long enough to show the barkeeps and order her food and drink, then went to a corner table and took in the sights and sounds. her silver hair was braided back into a long single braid and a decorative headband keep any stray hairs out of her face.

The local lord was there thnking the one oddly assorted group for saving his life. USually nobles were very thankful when their lives were dave as thankful and anyone whose lived were saved only they had the money to reward those who saved their lives. Not that she was bathered by it., Ther parents had been genuinely thankful for their children lives.

"Would your offer of going hunting include all that were lauded as heros this day?" comes the voice of the elven woman in the corner just after the other accepted of declined the young lords offer. "If the meat is used and distributed to those in need, under those conditions I would join you," she finishes

Siliwen turns to focus her eyes on the old woman who answered there request for help. She was as old of a human as she had ever met. THough her hair was in wild diarray the look on her face ws more reassuring.

When the woman commands Billy to take Riddle inside and says she can help him. SIliwen was relieved "Thank You Wise One for you offer of aid. And yes we are not from around her she offers by way of information.

Stepping insie the small cabin Siliwen was overwhelmed by the scent and sight of so much vegetation. Perhaps this woman was an herbalist, with so many specimens of plants that hung and lay all over ever surface. However it was not unpleasent like so many small human abodes not sith all the fresh plant smells.

Billy filled carried Riddle in.

"Put him on the bed" the woman told BIlly. it was about the only surface in the cabi not covered with specimens of plants and woods. Siliwen followed Billy in but tried to keep out of the way of them as Riddle was laid on the single bed in the cabin.

THe old woman moved over to a cupboard and took out a small jar and returned. ordering Billy and Thor off to the side to give her some room. Siliwen was about to remove herself also but the old woman had Alea and her stay. WHen handed the bottle she sat beside Riddle near his head and followed the old woman's instructions. She lift his head and tried to get only a few drops into his lips. To say the least she was worried that she might get to much or to little. IT was an aekward situation trying to get a man who could not move to open his lips to take a potion.

By cupping her arm around his head she was able to open his lips with her left hand enought to get the potion to his lips and a few drops into his mouth. SIliwen then quickly gave the jar over to the woman mindful of her caution that he might react violently.

Just in time time and Riddle violently convulse his whole body jerking but not so vigoriously that between Alea and herself they did namage to hold onto him and keep him on the bed. WHen his convulsion ceased he took a deep breath and his body relaxed in what seemed to be normal slumber. SIliwen felt that the tetany had left his body.

Siliwen signed in relief and turns to BIlly and Thor. "He seems to be sleeping normallly now. That regidity is gone."

She loooked up to the old woman having heard her words and those had raised many questions in her.

"We all Thank youu for what you have done for our companion. However you seem to have the advantage over us. You know something about our arrival to this place. We do not knopw where we are or how we got her though we know small tidbit about why we are here. You said you sensed our coming." Siliwen stops suddenly remembering her manners.

Oh, I am sorry. My name is Siliwen, my companions are Alera, here," she gestures to Alea first and then others as she introduces them. "Thor, is the Dwarf, Billy is then big one and our wounded campions is Riddle. By what name do you go by." Siliwen askes politely. more things are accomplished with a please than a loud voice or a sword her mother always quoted and so it was Siliwen had learned that watching her father when she traveled with him of diplomatic missions.

"You invitation to rest is most apprecciated but we really need to learn more about where this is, who is the Msster , What are the Na'sir and if anything why are we here in this place?" SIliwen looks the old woman in the eyes. "What can you tell us, if you please." Siliwen adds that magic word.

The man's trepidation about approaching this woman abode became even more clearly evident as the distance diminished to her place. He couldn't wait to get away from here. By his own words he had said that the woman never hurt anyone that didn't deserve it so she felt quite safe is moving forward as quickly as possible through the trail that quad ally revealed the woman's cabin. Her quick steps carry her along a twisting path through the enveloping trees.

Siliwen moves forward once the group sees the cabin. “ Thank you Billy and Thor, but I would like to try first as one user of magic to another and as a female.” Siliwen steps forward until she is about ten feet from the door.

"Wise One, we need your help. Our friend was poison by a Nas’ir’s kick. We know not what to do for him. He must survive, it so crucial to our mission. By the powers that bind us, all I say is true and time is of the essence." All-be-it their unknown mission, she thinks, sighs and waits for a response.

I did not realize we were traveling on foot. we cannot make much distance each day that way. Best estimate with two dwaves in te group is 3 miles per hour of constant travel on relatively flat ground. uphile or downheil, heavy vegetation or rocky ground would be even less MPH.

In the morning after prayers and breakfast. Geim is ready to get back on the road. "I know we've been delayed and all, and for good reason but we mustn't let any more time be awasting. Let's hit the road again.

ON THE ROAD

The huge boar sprang suddenly to the Road crashing through the underbrush. Geim draws back on his horse's reins more by instinct than thought. Almost as quickly as it camp it sprang away again but not without leaving something behind. Another mutated bestie. THe roiling red mist crept outwards from where the creature had blown it out. Geim kept backing his horse up and away from that mist.

The spells he could use this day, unfortunately did not include the one that might have worked. Mostly Geim had chosen healing spells and aguements to weapons and armor.

"Augh! If'n I had taken Dust Devil I could have done something to that vile mist. I hope someone has something that might. Otherwise I plan to just keep backing up until it is gone." Geim laments but continues to back up to keep out of the red mist.
