Subject: Kidnap Poor Me??

Your character would kidnap Bronwyn? What a foul, nefarious deed, indeed. She is just an innocent and rather naive farm girl who is desperately trying to find a place to make a living for herself since the lord that now rules over those lands where she lived made it impossible for her to practice her craft. This is part of the reason that her self-confidence is so low right now.

You couldn't be so cruel. That would really just hit again while she is down already. And all because you feel that your own abilities have been over looked. We actually both have something in common --incecurity.

As Miri drew closer her observation skills, developed during her training as ranger and scout saw the glitter of scales on the bid fighter's arm--one of the Dragon-blooded. Miri was intrigued to say the least. Sitting in the indicated chair Miri politely introduces herself, "I am Miri and you are? "

After the brief introductions, the old man had a bit to say about an oracle and a trip. It was rather short and to th e point and not very enlightening. Miri was not sure why he told her but she took in the information in and kept quiet for now, out of respect of the age of the human at least and because of manners she had been taught to hold to; even though this old man's years probably did not match the years she had already lived. He counseled patience. She could be patient and so she waited.

Miri keeps her eyes on the old and the Dragon-blooded who was not so patient with the current goings on. The big man rose and turned to leave the table. The old man's staff streaks out and neatly catching the big man behind his knees as he was walking away and drops him unceremoniously into the other chair.

Miri waited with baited breath. She was sure the big fighter was use to such treatment from another. She would be interested and how he responded. The man retained his composure.

While this transpired Miri sensed a change in the room as the outside door opened. She quickly glanced in that direction and was surprised to see who entered, strange indeed. Never had she expected to see one of the fey walking into a human inn. Now her attention was caught and held. Miri rose from her chair still cloaked but she nodded in respect for the woman who entered.

Miri was sitting quietly in her darkened corner. The hood of her cloak still up. She waited patiently for the serving girl as she glanced about the room. Most of the customers were villagers, though a few travelers had were present also. One large human male was talking to an old man several tables away. Her gaze unhampered by the darkness of the corner she sat in, swept over them, lingering only to assess what she could by their dress and demeanor. The big man gave a clear indication that he was so sort of fighter type. He stood the way fighter types did, balanced on his feet in a position to move quickly if necessary.

The old man might be a local but for the travel stained and dusty robes he wore. So she suspected he was a traveler too.

The two men one old and frail and one young and strong were talking lowly.

"Sir, what can I get you?" the serving wenches voice drew Miri's attention.

"Drinks are ale, beer, and cider. Stew from the pot, bread and cheese or if you want something else there is chicken and a roast beef, but that is extra."

Miri schooled her voice to a lower timber. "Stew is fine though lots of vegetables, bread and cheese and a cider.

Finishing her order Miri takes up her observation of others using just her eyes and ears. It was then two things caught her sense and not just her physical senses. The old man had turned towards her and beckoned her with his hand motioning her to join him at his table. She was curious and did not move from her place until she he, <> clearly in her mind.

Gathering her saddlebags she moved towards the old man’s table and sat in the chair he pointed to.

Miri rode easily through the forest nearing a human village lying on the fringes of the forest. Thankfully it was far from the elven home woods that she had left a days ago.

The smell of smoke and human habitation told her when she was near though she was still in the forest itself. Before reaching the edge of the forest Miri paused and with a quiet telepathic exchange between the two she rode on leaving Stormy there to hunt for himself and the dark shadow that moved so silently that one might wonder if it was a living thing or a ghostly specter. Moving up to stand near Miri on her elven stallion Moondancer, the shadow resolved itself into a huge smoky black wolf.

Stormy huge for his kind his back level to the to the botttom of Miri's stirrup. Hunt now came Stormmies though of warm flesh and red blood. yes, but not humans animals Miri replied. be wary she added, and the shadow that was Stormy melded into the night darkened forest and was gone. Good Hunting she sent after him

Miri could still feel him fairly close though he was moving quickly. By extending her senses she also knew without sight or sound that there were plenty enough prey animals for stormy to datisfy is hunger with. If he didn’t find enough he would come find her and she would provide his dinner. Though she knew he much preferred his own fresh-caught kill. In the dark of the late evening her dun colored clothes and dark green cloak on a silver sun stallion Moondance blended into the forest shadows, A darker shadow moved out the the woods to close with Miri as she halted there.

Miri withdrew her extended senses as she did not want to experience Stormy making a kill this night. She sat there for a moment more thinking about what she might find and what the future will bring. Clucking softly to Moondancer she rode forward not looking back. The stallion danced forward lightly still quite fresh.

Miri rode into the village passd the small homes of men up to the inn larger and more brightly inn near the center of the village. Going to the stables she nodded to the stableman, but indicated she would take care of her horses herself by the simple fact that she lead them into the stable. She watered them both first and then forked in a couple fork fulls of hay for each. Then she unsaddle and brushed them down, though she tipped the stableman a couple of coppers anyway. Miri pays him for the stabling and feed at the going rate and asks for two measures of grain for them each to be given one in about and hour and another later that night.

Picking up her saddle bags she moved toward the inn and through the doors. She made sure her deep hood was still up as she moved toward the doors of the inn.

The sights, sounds and smells assailed her senses. and for a moment she paused not sure she wanted to stay here for the night, but the desire for a hot meal drew her further into the inn. She moved forward to find a seat off in a corner where there were no others nearby.

Miriele’ilsifea

Elven Maiden, combination, Fighter/Ranger /Scout/ aiming for Order of the Bow sinitiat.

Miri has been a member of the forest guard for years but for years she has be yearning to go out into the world of the non-elves. Her brothers tales of the outside world made her want to experience it for herself. Tending her resignation to the forest guard she sets foot on the path out of the forest. Her first stop was a small village that clung to the fringes of the forest. She choose her two best elven steeds Moondancer a dappled silver dun stallion, a golden chestnut with flaxen mane and tail to take with her and a horse to alternately ride or pack. Her animal companion is a very large smoky black wolf she had rescued from death and raised.

History
Her family has served the elven court for generations in many capacities. Her father as a court councilor, her mother a court bard, her brother worked to for the court but there were many times h could not tell Miri what he was doing or why. She had every advantage of her birth into a high elven house but her own spirit loved the natural world better. Once she reached adulthood she served as one of the elven ranger and forest guardians.

Description
Miri is tall for an elf female about 5’6”, slender, with a natural grace of her race and a clearly evident wiry strength. Her hair is a rich bronze blonde with golden highlights. Her eyes are golden as well with dark rings around the irises. Like a hawk’s, or very like her wolf’s. Her skin is creamy with a faint golden tone. She wears natural colors that blend into her surrounding when traveling but when she has a chance to “dress” up she loves the rich jewel tones of spider silk gowns, especially Imperial green and crimson. Two of which are pack away in her pack. Their advantage is that they roll up to something mot much larger that an a thick pair of socks and when unrolled soon hang without a wrinkle.

Traits
More to come later

"Coachman you are free to go." She went over her spells that would be useful against those skeletons to try to cut through them to whatever was in the center of them.

After Selunine steps down and speaks, Trillion looks to her. "Yes, I can fly over their and take him up if he is not too heavy. I will go invisible just in case there is something other than skeletons about that may take exception to my rescue attempt." Trillion felt sure of her abilities enough to have no fear of what she was going to do but she was cautious.

Trillion steps down from her horse. "Mount my horse he will keep you safe or if you have to flee, he can carry you quickly. I will rescue him first and then any others I can find and bring them here.

"Whatever they are they certainly have a measure of sentience, I would guess. Even knowing what they look like though it will help our search. However, I still have many question are unanswered. What do they do when the villagers do not offer up tribute? And who or what attacked that villager and almost drain him of life?"

"Now to return to the Monastery. Perhaps the Abbot can be of assistance to us."

Isilmiri rides a bit off as the others mount. She waits for them to join together. "I say we find out what we are dealing with while we are here. To search without having some idea in mind of what we want to learn about would probably be fruitless. Though I agree it has to e observe only at this time until we can arm ourselves with what this Sea Druid has said we will find there. If the Monastery is the place he meant."

Isilmiri frown a it at the unknowns they were dealing with ut if that was all the sea druid would say then they would have to figure it out together.

Turning to the Elven wizardess, "I suggest we stay together here now, observe what we can, then ride to the Monastery."

Brianna actions are simple, she attackes with her twin long swords. Thunder in her left hand and Lightning in her right.

"Hurry, Yes, Pretty Dark One, hurry." Flame flies quickly around Alexandra's head and then rockets off. The best description possible of the blue of red streaking off toward a line of trees across the meadow back along the road they had traveled yesterday.

Flame was gone in a flash or so it seemed to observers.

Brianna followed but could not match Flames quickness but Shadowbane was flat out on the rose though she would not race him that fast over unknown grass covered ground. To many chance for a hole to snap the leg of a running horse.

"BRIANNA! Brianna, come quick. Nasty red dragon tried to eat my Precious. Bad Dragon. Precious is hurt. Hurry. I can't puff any more. Please hurry, bring black lady. Bring weapons, magic, healer, more weapons, and hurry. The diminutive red creature calling for help now resolved itself into a miniature dragon itself as it circle around Brianna several times. .

"Iam Coming Flame," Brianna valls out, as she leaped up up from of her hunkered position near the pot and whistled for her horse. "I don't know what is going on but I am going to find out. "Lorae and any of the rest of you who feel up to it, Come on. It might be best to show up in force. It couldn’t be too large so we should be able to take care of it. Shadowbane responded to Brianna's whistle and one he got to her she swung up on his back in one smooth leap. “Ready yourselves just in case.

"Lorae you should be able to track me easily enough."

Brianna gallops off and unlimbering her bow as she does. She notches an arrow taken for the quiver on her saddle. Hoping this is a smallish dragon not an adult.

Brianna was still grooming Shadowbane as he leaned into the grooming brush when she felt he shift away and whuffled softly.

"Talking to the girls eh?" She says softly to the stallion. "Who is getting your interest." Brianna turns to look in the direction that the stallion is looking at and is surprised to see it is not at any mare on the picket line.

"Ah ha, incoming." Brianna says and steps close to her bow standing propped nearby. She heard Alexandra greet in stranger as she took up her bow. Once it was in her hand she steeped clear of the horses.

What she saw keep her standing quietly while she took it all in. This woman looked elven but of type she was totally unfamiliar with. Her skin was like copper tinged with green. Even her hair was green.

Suddenly Shadowbane scream in defiance and half reared and stamped the ground.

Brianna saw a shadow daker that the blackest night move among side the strange elf's side. A huge black cat of a type she was also unfamiliar with.

Reaching out she laid a hand on the stallion and grabbed his mane. Not that it would stop him if he was threatened or took it into his head to run. Brianna kept a wary eye on both the new comers and the huge stallion.

"Fair day," Brianna called out to the strange trio. She did admire the fine mouse-gray mare with black points. She knew such a color blended in well with the terrain and disappeared in the darkness and shadows.

As for Brianna herself she was a very tall well built (muscular) well proportioned Amazon woman fine mithral double chain shirt with bracers in her forearms and greaves over her tall riding boots over supple doeskin pants. Her flaming red hair was caught back in a single braid.

Xuor had taken Brianna off to the side. She went along though she wondered what he had to say to her. He was a straight shooter and she knew he wouldn't beat around the bush.

They set up the shifts so one party member got to sleep the whole night through one every rotations. This was his night to be off the watch list. Xuor has asked to share the morning shift with her. That was sine with her as she said so is as frank a manner as he had asked.

"Sure that is fine with me, Xuor. I would be glad of the company it gets kind of quiet. Not that I mine the quiet really it is just a bit lonely on watch all by myself. When I just to ride night guards on our herds there were plenty of other younglings my age or there abouts riding at the same time.

On another note she adds’ “we have lost of lot o good people Vatta, Cerric, Logan and Highnar. I …….I hope will be staying with…..us. You are a good….. man.” ( this means a lot from a born and bred Amazon.)
