Cupping her hand over they door she puts her ear up close trying tohear what was said and how it was said. Common, orc goblin or some other language. Telepathically she asks Moonshadow to tell her what she can smell at the door.

If there is a key hole she will look through it also.

At the appointed hour Dae takes a meal up to Septimuses room. IT is quiet in the hallway as she walks soft footed down the corridor to his room. Saying the command word Moraglin had given her she enters the wrded room. No that she knew it except for Moraglin had mentioned it.

Dae can see him still in his bed though tossing a bit as she enters. Setting down the tray she calls his name softly tryng to wake hin gently. He mutters something but she can't quite make it out. Dae moves in closer and calls his anme again. "Septimus, Wake Up. You are supposed to eat again." IF that is not enough to rouse him she will reach out and shake his cover that he is laying under. That should rouse him to wakefullness

Tianna slowly regained consciousness. Her head throbbed as did various parts of her body. She opened her eyes briefly at random intervals to check on her surrounds. The boy was alive but unconscious still. Isiliglin was still, still and silent. Tianna could not hear his breath nor had he move one iota. Her heart was saddened by the knowledge that he had passed beyond this mortal coiled. The song o f passing must be sung and prayers made but. But she had no time for that now. Now she had to find a way to free herself and the boy.

Once she got a glimpse of her belongs across the fire from her. She was not sure she could get to them and get the boy away. Life was more important than things. His life more important certainly than anything she possessed. If she could just get into the woods with him she would have a chance of remaining free.

The ropes were strong but the knots were not well made. That was what she was seeking to defeat. Clumsy handed they tie the ropes tight but with bad knots Goblins rarely did things well like that. She tested her arms wrists and hands trying to free the rope, to loosen it just a bit so that she could possibly work it free. The trick was to do it so that the goblins did not notice she was awake else she suffer Isiliglin’s fate.

When she got free she might be able to lure a goblin closer and take its weapon then she would have a fighting chance. That and other possibilities crossed her mind. She discarded them for their unlikely possibilities of happening or being successful. Others were possible. And she kept those in mind. When she got free she would deal with the circumstances at the time. One of her plans hopefully would win them their freedom and their lives.

Loriel hears Linnix out, not bothering to say anything in response. There wasburst. really othing she could say to LInnix;s emotion out. Loriel couldn't leave withoug making sure that there wasnot woman or child.

Loriel looked about for anyone else and noticed that Xarius off talking with Elesia and AelistraeShe was nowhere in sight. She though thought about asking him to go with her becauswe he had proved such an able fighter but decided against it.

Loriwl takes everything out of her pack except her rope, and antitoxin, she keeps only her eapons and tales off all pouchs and eany extra weight rolling them up in her dagger, longsword adn bow and quiver. To the other she turns as she slings her nearly empty pack over her shoulders and fastens it around her waist.

"I am just going down the center corridor. I plan on jumping the pit and checking the doors out and calling out for the woman if she is not gagged then answers then I will return for help to get her out."

Loriel pats her summoning Moonshadow to her side and sets off doen the corridor they had traverse early. She will take a running jump for the far side (take 10 add bonus of 6) and leaps acorss the pit trap.

“Elisia, I do hope you have some healing spells left. Kas has been sorely wounded and so has Artanis.” Loriel asks as soon as she sees Elistae across the double ladder bridge.

As a precaution she had fastened her rope securely around Moonshadow’s body in a figure eight before crossing the bridge herself. She carefully takes her time and does rush as she transfers her weight slowly form one place to another so not to strain the lashed ladders too much. With a brief sigh she was over safely but now she had to get Moonshadow across and that would not be so easily. Moonshadow certainly weighted more than any of them perhaps more than any two of them together and would test their construction to the limits.

First problem was to get Moonshadow on the bridge. The huge wof-Coo Shee had watched them all cross and began to whine a bit a Loriel moved out on the bridge. Moonshadow begin to try to get on the ladder at the same time. “No, Moonshadow. Wait there. I will call you,” she said and reinforced it with her telepathic link. When she called Moonshadow move forward but on placing her forepaws on the ladder, she hesitated. It sagged under her weight so she backed up onto the ground.

Loriel tried coaxing her forward again. She knew it went against her companions instinct to move out on anything that gave so beneath her weight. Loriel knew Moonshadow follow her instincts in this matter. Loriel was going to have to ask her to trust Loriel more than her instince in this matter. “I did it my friend you can too. Come to me.” Moonshadow whine again and paced on the edge of the floor next to the opening in the floor/. Moonshadow was thinking about jumpin the chasm at an angle. Loriel didn’t want her to try. The rope around the Wolf-dog if she missed would drag Loriel into the pit after Moonshadow. “Come to me, Moonshadow. Loriel pats the ladder “Come.” Still whining a bit Moonshadow put first one paw then another on the ladder once again. Slowly she tentatively place her third paw on the rails of the ladder and then began to move she keeps her head down and slowly, one paw at a time, moved forward across the expanse. The last few feet Moonshadow launched herself from the ladder to the safety of the floor beyond.

Loriel let out her breath with a whoosh. She hadn’t even realized she was holding it. Loriel moved forward to scratch Moonshadow in her favorite spot, behind her ears. “What a good girl” she crooned softly, and all the while fondling the big wolf-dog’s ears. “Come on lets get out of here,” Loriel expresses clearly, but to mo one in particular, and she proceeds forward to the entrance of the cave, or tunnel in this case.

The scene outside is not as they had left it. There were dead Orcs on the ground. Bart it looked like was or at least had been wounded. She really hoped Elisia had some healing left.

Once Loriel had heard the tale of the goings on outside. She broached the subject that ws still concerning her. “You know that we do not know for sure that this was alll an elaborate trap. I cannot leave until I know we are not leaving a woman and her child here. I am planning to go back in and check the place out as best I can. That woman I know seemed to be saying we were on a fool’s mission but that trap she had set was hastily prepared and that could be because they heard the floor collapse earlier. Is anyone willing to go back in with me to make sure about this.”.

Why is it that in th elast two games my PCs started in the game tied up, without any of thier equipment. Geesh! You could think it was a conspiracy. In Grugg's game technically I did not survive even to be introduced into the game. My character was on a pirate ship bound and gagged the PC party on the other ship fireballed the pirate shisp and never check out the pirate ship before it went down.

Now, in this game, goblins have me. I hate goblinoids. and again I am tied up without anything to defend myself with and a wonded elf as well.

What did I do to deserve this treatment? My karma isn't that bad.

Alacran raised an eyebrow and turned his head slightly to look at the figure then turned back and addressed them as they gathered behind Alea in the doorway. Siliwen being so small sort of wiggled her way forward a bit so she could see what was going on. IT was one time her size was of some advantage.

“I am sure you have all sorts of questions,” he said, “but please grant me one minute.”

The conversed together. Siliwen understood it all, oh some words was accented a bit differently but not so much different that she did not understand them. Finally the hooded woman, Priestess of Corellon and the only elf she had seen from this world so far said Farewell,” and then looking down at the gem she still held she touched something on the setting at it’s base and with a flash of white light she vanished.

Siliwen's gasps with disappointment as the Elven Priestess disappeared. She had so many questions she wanted to ask her. Her shoulders sag a bit. Elves, she remembered were very isolated and reclusive in this world. This was perhaps her only hope of meeting another of them.

Alacran walked over to the gather companions, his smile fading with the departure of the Elvin Lady.

“Well… would you like to go and set down and talk?” He asked with a wry smile, “or are you still not willing to trust me?”

“Yes, I would like to sit down and talk with you. As for trusting you, that is something that is earned and I feel now that we can trust you for what you did for the innkeeper.” Siliwen concludes.

(Other’s replies to Alacran)

No more did she say until they reached the now empty common room. Once seated, Siliwen turns to Alacran.“ I will not ask for forgiveness for my lack of trust earlier. I am sure you are wise enough to understand my unwillingness to trust in those circumstances. She cocks her to look him in the eye.“ I dare say very wise.” She adds truthfully without flattery.

“Now, I would now like to accept your help in removing that ark from me that you say draws these evils to us.” Siliwen requests politely. She would have asked in Elven but respecting her comrades especially those that did not speak Elven so she kept to the common tongue of humans. I also would wish to know how I was marked so and how I or any of us could prevent being marked this was in the future.

Siliwen hopes that he will help them and answer what question they might have that could help them survive in this quest strange land of unknown dangers. She also knew not all her questions or those of the others would be answered but perhaps enough to help them move forward to their goal.

Siliwen stares at the trio of men exiting into the hallway the middle man supported by the others with blood on his clothes to her amazement it is the barkeep. "What trickery is this?" she asks Riddle tugging on his shirt. "They said he was dead, yet he is alive."

"I think we should get out of here, somehow this is all a ruse and elborate one, but it means us ill."

Even as she says this Billy walks into the inn's hallway, and a moment later Riddle follows. Siliwen is torn between staying with them and staying away from the possibility of more troubles. Wavering back and forth her mind finally made up to not be left alone out there. It would be best to stay with her friends. They needed to work together she could not let them go in alone if this went from bad to worse.

Siliwen didn't know what to expect. She hurries in with quick steps and preps a Magic missle to have ready just in case. Her face is fierce with concentration, holding the spell ready to cast, the arcane words on her lips

I won't even bother to ask for the snake dagger already have three people interested in it. NO much for a fighter that is a bowspecialist. Guess I will take money and jewels. Bracers id thei are bracers of armor should go to cleric or spellcasters best for them since they can't wear armor without penalties. Ax is too big for me and my strength. Nothing special noted about the other stuff afraid I gabve the best of what was founf up to others.

Anyway I am all for copying down that description on the statue, and gather some more globes on the way out. I will write most of this up in RP as that is where it belongs

Throne I am not sure about it might be more truoble to get out of here than it is worth.

First things first, there were wounded that needed tending and that is what Loriel started to do first of all. Loriel spots Kas wavering after she struck the magic user. Kas uses the spear to literally hold herself up. Hurrying over there she will render what assistance to Kas that she can.

"Aelistrae, do you have any healing Kas has been sorely wounded."

"Kas let me help you. You can lean on my shoulder and I will get you at least onto the throne where you can sit. Better that than the floor. By the way keep the spear you did great with it." Of course she did not know that Kas has suffered from using the spear. Loriel helps the young woman to the throne and eases her down onto the seat of the cherry wood throne. It was a beautiful thing but she didn’t think it worth the trouble of trying to get it out of here, but she was not the only one who would decide its fate.

Next she turns to help Xarius, "How are you doing? You took the brunt of that lightning strike." Moving over to see what she can do for him she leans over and congratulates him. “That was some charge at the barricade you opened it up wide. Great job.”

She takes out her simple first aid supplies knowing that their cleric was low of healing spells from earlier when they had fought in the hallway and before that as well. So she brought out bandages and salve for wounds and would assists those with better skills than hers to bind wounds.

Loriel then joined the uninjured and helped search the room for hidden doors etc. and looting bodies. Others worked on various other pursuits including the throne that Kas was now seated on, recovering. She puts everything in a pile. She doesn’t bother about making choices time enough for that once they got out of here and moving again besides some of this stuff needed to be checked out including the spear and shield she had given out for use.

Walking up to Artanis she looks at the warrioress. Keep the shield. I don't know exactly what is does but, 7 of those stones are glowing. You used it well. I could only use it sometimes and you can use it all the time.

"Aelistrae, I would like to copy that inscription down that was on the statue in the other room before we leave. It could be important.” Loriel remembers as things begin to settle down.

Loriel pauses for a moment scanning the room the pits quite evident one in each corner. “Hey, what about checking out the pits.” She walks over to the pit in the back left of the room and looks in.

The battle rages around Loriel. Her companion swept into the room each attacking their choised target. Time seems to telescope as they entered the room and began their assault.

Xarius was the first to act racing into the room like a bull in a china shop. Xarius crashes into a barrel, you Loriel expected him to bounce off iof it but was incredulous to see it shatters under his effort, sending the orc behind it sprawling. So instead of the gnome becoming a lump on the ground instead he ended up on top of the shattered battle on top of the orc behind it with the orc fending off a gnomish fury atop it. The orc tried to wave the crossbow in front to Xarius to parry the gnome’s great sword but could not. Xarius hit the orc hard.

Artanis followed right behind Xarius in a similar fashion, charging the barricade, using the opening Xarius had made in the barricade to reach another orc with a little more ease, Her bastard sword gleamed in the torchlight as it sliced neatly into orcish flesh.

Loriel kept to her final plan which was to shoot the Ogre first. Her arrow flew true the first and then the second when she had time to look though she was disappointed. Loriel could tell that neither of them had penetrated deeply enough to do much damage. Perhaps, he is protected by some magic that resisted her damage she was not sure

Linnix, too entered the fray with purpose and leveled her small crossbow at one of the orc and fired it, Linnix fired, her small hand crossbow’s bolt nicked the Orc’s shoulder, drawing its attention. “Good hit,” cries out Loriel.

Kasenarrion stepped pass Loriel and raised her hand at the Ogre a dazzling light shot from her finger right into the Ogre’s eyes. IT must have done something. The Ogre swatted at his face.

The Ogre, was next to respond moving to attack Xarius whose had just downed the Orc. Loriel Yelled out “Xarius, Ogre” Almost without thinking, hoping her cry would alert the diminutive gnomish fighter to the danger. Thankfully Xarius seemed to move at the last moment and the Ogre’s ax smashed into the downed orc. oriel grinned wolfishly at that. The Ogre’s had just help them out.

The Ogre cursed out loud. “I will feast on gnome flesh tonight!” “Hoprfully not.” Loriel thought.

The remaining Orcs fired their crossbows, one obviously affected by the battle around him misses completely. One bolt hit Artanis’s her shield. It was them that Loriel saw the crackly of energy off the shield and three of the crystals sparkling with light. That drew her interest but only for a moment as she prepared her nest round of shots fast drawing two arrows and loading the first.

Aelistae, the last to react, now with a free doorway from which to fire from, took to her bow-twanging. With a command to bring down the orcs, she let loose her first arrow of the battle, which sailed harmlessly past her intended target, skittering across the floor.

The Companions were doing well so far two orc down the ogre wounded and they w3re ready again.

Linnix ‘s next shot glanced off the orcs leather armor as poor as it was.

Kasenarrion called out “For Tyr, for Righteousness, for Retribution, and for Justice!” Her voice filled the room and echoed off the stone walls. Kas stepped over the broken barricade and thrust her spear at the Ogre the glowing tip of the spear growing in brightness as it pierced the Ogre’s thick hide with seemiong ease

Aelistrae, shot again and this time she shot sunk in deep and the orc fell over either dead or dying. Loriel was not sure. “Good shooting Aelistrae,” she shouts out in encouragement,

Artanis next hit sent the orc to its doom on the cold stone floor.

However their luck had run out when next the Ogre closed on Kas and swung his might Ax and hit her hard and sent her flying. Loriel could not tell if there was any life left in her.

Xarius retaliated on the Ogre and ith his next strike he nearly cleaved the ogr’s leg almost clean off.

Loriel moved into the doorway once more, Moonshadow still barking at her side. She leveled her sights on the fallen Ogre, and let two more arrows fly into the massive beast even as he began to rise to a sit up. Both arrows hit, but without much penetration. Loriel then sent Moonshadow to Kas using her telepathic link. **Protect Kas.**

From the Corner, where the woman seemed to regain her senses but to Loriel’s horror she was not an old merchant’s wife but a cool-faced beauty that was aiming a wand at them and speaking about her master and how they were going to die. Lightning crackle from the end of the wand striking the Ogre that was good, Xarius, that was not good and at Artanis. And the shield crackled as all but one stone was light with inner energy. The Ogre slumped over very dead. Just retribution indeed, Kas, I hope you are alive to enjoy it.

Even as the woman cackled manically and frop the first wand and pulls out another, Loriel combat drew two arrows from her quiver again and aimed at the woman Loriel moves into point blank range (if she was not already within that distance) and fires both arrows at her. Loriel calls out loudly and the arrows steak off on at a time, “Now is your turn to know pain.”

Loriel swings in beside Artanis as she opens the door As soon as the door open, there is a volley of bolts flying their directions.

Loriel quickly sees the room the 5x5 foot pits in the four corners of the room, with braziers hanging above them, blue flames burning brightly within. In the middle of the room is a low 3 foot barricade made of barrels and boxes, behind which are four Orcs, each with crossbows, now empty.
The new shield on Artanis’s arm crackles strangely but since she cannot see what is happening on the front of the shield she ignores it for now. She is surprised to see orc crossbowman behind a barrier ready for them. However rather than firing on them she takes her first to shots on the Ogre. Take him down the Orcs will lose their morale booster.

Her arrow already notched and partially draw allow her to continue to pull it back to a full draw to achieve maximum power to the arrow she holds the tautly bent bow of darkwood with her best arrows all for the Ogre. With fierce concentration she prepared to fires her arrow. Muscles tensed and held the notch of the arrow to the corner of her ear, her chest was up and shoulders back. Now with her breath held she waited for Lub, Dub beat of her heart and in the quiet moment of her between her heart beats .she would fire. She had plenty of area to fire at as she stared down the shaft the towering Ogre presents a vast portion of his torso and head for her to shoot at. "Corellon guide my arrows may they find the flesh of my enemies." She released her arrow at the optimum moment. Then she rapidly reloaded and fired again as she had been taught to.

Loriel’s shots went off like clockworks. Everything happened in a clean succession of moves that were smooth, efficient, and precise. She was one with her bow and her target; a credit to her teachers and to her own long and will practiced skills.

(OOC If I miss it is not my fault it is the dice’s. )

Subject: Raiel

Weeks Before

Raiel had been a Ranger with The Silverwood Ranger for many years. She had rising in the ranks from neophyte ranger to her current status and served with pride and a touch of prejudice for the job they did. The Silverwood Rangers were well receive and their forest kept clear of wandering monsters and those who would harm the forest and it s denizens Unfortunately it was her status that got her here in the first place. When the request had come in to the Lord Ranger of Silverwood for an elven ranger to go to the city it had been passes down the ranks to her. The more senior rangers passed it on but when she got it and tried to pass it on it got stopped with her. The Lord Ranger said that the more junior rangers were not skilled enough for this summons, though he said nothing about what it would entail; only telling her when to report to the main temple.

Reluctantly Raiel left the deep woods and the Silverwood Rangers to make the long trip to Camacha. She took only her horse and her companion of the passed two year, Stormy, a Coo Shee whom she had raised after Stormy’s mother had been killed by a rogue male bear. The two had been close but when she had established a telepathic link with Stormy they were closer than ever. Stormy was an imposing creature an elven dog of mammoth proportions when compared to human dogs. Even the huge Mastiff guard dogs were much smaller than he was at almost 50 inches to the shoulder. His color was a deep dark green with lighter green spots dappling his back, like light filtering through the shadows. It was easy for him to just seemingly disappear in the forest greenery. However on the roads far from elven forests, he stood out.

Raiel had moved swiftly not sure how long it would take her to get here. While she missed the woods she was a bit curious about the world outside her great forest environs where she had rarely if ever gone out of. While she saw a few elves out and about it was mostly humans as she got closer and closer to the ocean. She had stopped at inns, but not often, preferring her own company and that of the companions. The closer she got to the city the more she slept out in the wilds safely enough despite the less law abiding human lands. In one of the first towns in human lands she went into a small inn there to get a few provisions. Some local thugs followed her out later that night thinking her an easy mark. However, Stormy was out their waiting for her she knew he was, eagerly too since she had promised to get him a bone. He shadowed her in the darkness on the night the moon had long since gone down and the local inhabitants long since in bed snug in their small houses.

Once outside she walked out towards the edge of town she knew once she got to the woods she would be okay but they had hurried by a back route and had tried to stop her before she got out of town they came at her threatening many things, which was the first mistake. She drew her dagger and shifted her buckler forward. One of them came brashly forward to take her on, that was their second mistake. They should have rushed her with three to one they would have had a better chance to hit her. They didn’t and one of one she was an experience fighter. She quickly led with her shield and bashed his right arm holding a club bring then brought the edge of her shield down sharply on his arm. “Yeow” he yelled and grabbed his arm. Third mistake that left his left side wide open and she drove her dagger deeply into his side and then drew it forward. He screamed and went down. His friends screamed too because hurtling out of the shadows of an alley way came and charging pony size enraged Coo Shee.

Stormy had been shadowing her and when the first thug accosted Raiel that it all it took for the massive elven dog to launch himself forward. Stormy leaped for the throat of the biggest one. The man brought up a club but he never got a chance to swing it. Stormy hit the big thug high and at almost 275 pounds the man toppled over like a nine pin and landed flat on his back with the wind knocked out of him. When her regained his senses Stormy was standing on him with all four feet teeth barred and growling fangs only inches from the mans throat. The man tried to move but as soon as he did Stormy growl ferociously. The smaller thug was stunned in the first moments and then took to his heels. Raiel left the small town and went off to sleep in the woods that night and most of the time after that as well. Stormy got his boon and an extra good brushing that night.

The only other two times she was attacked was once by bandits on the road and once again at night with a chance met traveler, a half elf whom she felt she could trust. Trust lasted only until she went to sleep rolled up in her cloak near their shared campfire. That person waited until she was asleep and tried to steal her horse. He only got a few yards when Raiel’s mount threw him clean over her head. And then bit him hard adding insult to injury. There after Raiel kept to sleeping out in the wilds or orchards. It was much safe. Moonshadow add to the injury with a sharp nip on the would-be thief’s butt.

She had hunted and fish for her provision and the trio made their way steadily towards the port city of Camacha.

Outside of Camacha

Raiel was really reluctant to leave the forest even more reluctant because she knew she had too, The time was fast approaching for her to report to the main Temple of Magnagoth in the port city of Camacha. It was a long way from where she called home, the great Silverwood Forest that was under the protection of the Silverwood rangers. She had bathed Moonshadow and her elven steed Moondancer and groomed both until they shone with care and attention. She herself and stripped and bathed in the forest pool she had found fed by a small clear spring bubbling up through a rock outcropping. She climbed out and soaped herself with a hunk of soap they made from lard and ash. Until her hair sparked and her creamy skin skin was soft and scrubbed clean. She pulled out her best forest green pants with a darker green silk shirt and leather jerkin. Before she put those on she pulled out her padded silk under tunic and slide it on before adding her finely made mithral elven mail shirt. She belted her jerkin and shirt with an embroidery elven belt of fine leather supple and soft yet strong. The emblem of the Silverwood Rangers was embroidered on the small patch over her left arm. It showed and broad, spearing silver oak on a dark green field. She topped all with her fine elven cloak of dark green lined with grey with a grey furred edge. A larger emblem was embroidered on her left breast of her cloak with the motto of the Silverwood Rangers under it. Raiel put away her travel outfit and pull on fine high soft boots of deep grey embroidered in green vines and scroll designs. Unable to put it off any longer Raiel mounts Moondancer and calls Moonshadow to her side. She rides on to the port site of Camacha. After brushing her hair out thoroughly the long rave black tresses were gleaming it seemed a sin to braid it in t tight braid worn long behind her head but that is how she wore her hair for her work and the journey. Her soft violet eyes scanned the tranquil spring pool, sighing she left having no other excuses for delaying.

The walls were stout and the gate guarded by four men outside the gates. More guards were on the wall with pikes and crossbows. Stopped at the gate by the guards and asked her business she hands them a pass she carried from the Lord Ranger of Silverwood. Raiel did not know if the extent of his power reached this far and would carry any weight with these humans. They look askance at Moonshadow and ask what he was. “He is a Coo Shee and elven dog and my companion,” as if that explained everything to these men. She also asks for directions to the Temple of Magnagoth, and then hold out her hand to receive her pass back. She was allowed to pass on into the city proper. Following the directions she rode on into the more central part of the city. The overwhelming smell of overcrowded humanity assailed her sense. Smells, sight sound even a salty briny taste of sea in the air as well as others less appealing tastes reached her. It almost made her turn around and go back but she could not. She only wanted to. Finally with a few missed turns and a few more questions of likely looking passersby she reaches the great Temple. Dismounting she walked forward into the area before the temple. There was a hitching post not that she needed to tie Moondancer up. Thoughtfully the temple had provided a watering trough. She leads Moon dance over closer to that and then slipped the bridle from her mouth to let her drink. Slipping her simple bridle over her saddle Raiel used a neck rope to loosely tie up Moondancer after she had drunk her fill. She motions for Moonshadow to follow her.

Entering the large edifice that served as the Temple of Magnagoth Raiel made her way into the central part of the structure looking for and acolyte or priest Spying one just fifty feet away Raiel crosses over to him. Hopefully the man in robes was one she could get to help her. “Good afternoon good Priest.” She said in her best Common, “I was sent herr by the Lord Ranger of Silverwood. A ranger was requested and I was sent.” That is what she said, what she said, what she thought was that she got stuck with the job mo one else wanted to do. Be it good or not, she had reported in. Raiel was curious about why a Ranger of Silverwood was requested.

Loriel el into the marching order following Moonshadow with her bow drawn and arrow knotched.. She had hoped by folllowing the human scent they could locate what they really wanted the woman and not the orge. Moonshadow paused at a heavy door. Growled lowly. but did not move from the door. She bark once to let Loriel know that she had track what had been asked of her. Unfortunaltely now only Liriel heard that bark. **Shhh" she mentally sent Moonshadow promptly started waggin her tail the thinck xurly tail more indicative of her Coo Shee mather that her wolf father then she sat down.

Loriel knew now that not just the enemy was behind that door but one of the woman at least. In conformation of that came a woman's wail and smack, a gasp of pain and then silence.

In the silence Kas whispered. "We have to attack now before the orge gets ready." Loriel adds only "Good idea. Sooner the better." Loriel draws her bow fully and waits for the others to get ready. Her plan was to get into the room quickly and get between the captive or captives and the Orge. shooting the Ogre as she went. That would clear the door fo rhte others to enter.as she went.

"Open it then Moonshadow and I will rush over to defend the women. I will use my shield to protect them and my bow to shoot the Ogre"

Siliwen looks up and then around the room as Riddle wondered out loud why no one was coming out of the kitchen.

She focused her eyes and ears on the kitchen door trying to hear and see anything. after a moment more. She stood up. and looked about. She knows she is on edge and is trying not to overreact but already having so many uunusual events happening to them all she preps a spell (flare) and holds it ready.

"I don';t want to overreact Riddle but I don't like this at all. WHree are the others why aren't they back yet?. She cases a nervous glance around at the door. At least that was now unlocked. Riddle why don't we go outside and join the others. At least we will be altogether."

Siliwen starts for the inn door keeping a watchful wye at the kitchen door. HOping Karl or one of the other servers would exit but prepared for something worse. that is been her life of late. Jusut about what is the worse than can happen has. Siliwen bet the others felt the same way too. Perhaps not so much Billy her sort of took things in dtride right now she eenvied his placid acceptance and determination to see whatever it was through to the end.

Right now Siliwen wanted to run like crazy, ut she resisted the impulse and sidestepped her way to the door keeping a sharp vigilance about her.

There is some writing on the base of the statue but it was not elven or common or any other language I am familiar with but I agree with you it is something that most likely needs to be looked into after we take care of Bart's mission and affter we rescue the mershant's wife and child.

Loriel has not lost sight of the fact that Bart's mission is still the primary goal though The goal of rescuing the wife and child is of the greatest priorityTo Loriel's way of thinking when lives were at stake that took precendence in her mind over the desire for reward and aiting until after Bart's mission was completed would lmost likely mean death for the two woman. To this end Loriel now tries another trail for Moonshadow to follow. Over her link with the wolf-dog Loriel asks her to find the trail of human scent. Perhaps it would bring them quicker.

Sort of hard to develop character revealing background history and alike, which is what makes up CD, when you can not remember what went on in you life.

I have been purposefully playing Kas in the present as she is, and not delving into her situation, doing a simple here and now and not yet having her face the dilema of her affliction, though with Tyr piping in on her, just recently, has her off kelter, but since they were in rescue mod. She has put aside her personal problems to do what has to be done now she has focused on that and not her personal problems.

I want to do some sort of CD but I not sure how deep I can go, other than a building sense of "We are not in Kansas".

Loriel looks up as Artanis asks her for the shield and shortly after thar Kas asks for the speat. Loriel wants to keep them but at the same time she comtemplates theirr requests. She know both the items were extrodinary but at the same time it was true that she was best with a bow and could only use a small buckler while using a bow. She looks to both of them they had proven themselves good companions even Kas who had been with them so shortly. They spear and shiel seemed to be very fine pieces and she wanted them but she squask the ungenerous thought of keeping them for herself.

"I can use both the shield and the spear but as you say I usually use my bow as my primaty weapon. These should be use and I will grant both your requests for these items with the knowledge that when our original mission is complete I will reclaim them or if you find something of your own to replace them with weapons you prefer or if you leave the group before the mission is completed." Loriel finished not mentionng if they dies, there was no need to mention that.

Loriel passes the spear off to Kas and the shiel off to Artanis. "Use them well for all of our sakes."

Loriel swiftly hefts the spear in one hand and scoops up the shield in one quick motion. She placing even as she moved rapidly across the toom into the relative safty of the hall, retraces her traverses the room.

Only when Loriel was safe outside she she take and deep breath and exhaled it rapidely. She looked about to the others. "I was afraid that at any moments that statue would spring to life or that something else would suddenly appear as I took the spear out of the statues hand." Loriel moves close to MOonshadow taken some strength from the great wold dog who had been her companion for several years now. She tries to steady her breathing until it came more normall. To say she had been anxious while she was in the room was an understatement.
