Subject: Loriel

Loriel gathers up the plague and sword and any other small easily carried valuable and stuffs them in ht epcoke off the cloak. She shuts the door behind her hoping to lessen the damage to this room. Spotting artanis going up the ladder she follows her up. Not sure why but perhaps she has the baby and is trying to find a way out not that the fires are closeing in.

She can heare voices as she dows but only catches the last part clearly, a mans cracked voice.

"Well, it separated you and your friends did it not? I'd imagine the rest of them are equally enjoying the hospitality of me compatriots at this very moment."

Loriel then heard that same voice cackle and a baby's baby shirek in a wail of annoyance and cough sputtering.

Then the high-pitched man's voice cackled again. voice, "What does one do when caught between the frying pan and the oven hmmm?" His question was sinister and he almost dared Artanis to step forward again."

She hear Artanis's reply as she reached the top of the ladder and stepped out on the floor “I’m neither brave, nor foolish. I just want the baby to be safe and back in her Mother’s arms where she belongs.”

"Artanis, I am here." Loriel calls out "and I am armed."

Loriel draws the sword smoothly and advances towards Artanis slightly apart from her and towards the man wreathed in blue-green flames with the baby.

Whoever youa are you will face us here and now for what you have done here. She holds the sword before her and advances steadily.

Loriel started looking into the rooms whose doors were still shut.
The woman had said the baby was but a few months old so it can’t really get anywhere under it own power. She found the back room and the crib but no baby. Why wasn’t it in it;s crib? Was this all some trick to get them in here.

Then Loriel heard Kas yell "I HAVE THE CAT!" at the top of her voice. So that wasn’t a lie. She redoubled her efforts to find the baby.

“Artanis, have you found the baby?” Loriel yells even as she hurriedly checks out the rooms and any place a babe could be. Still in the back of her mind are questions that have been raised. She knew that she would be asking them and expecting answers for each of them.

Loriel raced after Artanis and Kas upstairs. Being last she saw the elemental erupt from the stove and heard what they said. "Burn, burn to the ground, leave no traces to be found, burn burn bone to ash, and Jethro shall collect his cash!" The same cruel laughter filters through the downstairs, coupled with the tormented outcry of a feline, from somewhere upstairs.
Loriel remember those words but filed them away for know, knowing that someone had caused this

The tormented cry of the cat led her upwards. Trying to think like a cat she knew it would hide away is a spot where it felt safe. She had hoped it would have fled but that cry led her to believe it hadn’t. So she looked and listened for any clue that would lead her to locate the cart or the child in cast the others had not.

“Do you have the baby?” She called out as she reached the second floor. “Hurry, someone is intentionally trying to burn this place down. There are two fire elementals below,”

Fire could so easily get out of control in such a crowded city. Houses and shops were so closely packed that it spread easily. Let the fire brigade handle that, what concerned her was the child and whoever this Mr. Wuggles was.

She didn't go back into your room as scheduled." MOraglin studied "Morgan". She cast something but it has not visual effects that Septimus can tell.

"I hoped you ate those meals and continue to do so. You should be looking better than you are but it is certainly an improvment over how I found you yesterday."

"Come on now THe4 journey continues." Then she just left him as if she did not care even after saying she did.

Outside she takes a look at Dae already mounted. Placing the obsidian statue on the ground, once again it transforms into a huge black war horse complete with barding.

"Impressive isn't he." Moraglin turns to Dae. Moraglin mounts up with a dignified elegance even in her robes. She settles them about her as if carefully arranging her gpwn and robes before going out into the public. "There now all donwe. Shall we join the others?"

Moraglin followed Dae's Sunfire out of the courtyard. She manifested a bunch of roses in her had Dark red ones and then drop a petal every few feet for Septimus to follow.

It was true thy had lost time but hopefully they could make it up today.

She slung up her pack and walked outside. There were only two horse left, hers and Septimus's. Zara and Oko were not in sight, though their horses' hoof prints were clear enough on the raked yard heading out of the courtyard.

Dae Sighed, Now what were they up to. She mounted her stallion and waited for Moraglin and Septimus before following the tracks.

When Moraglin walked out, she offered. "I think they had ridden on a bit to hurry us up. Most likely this is Zara's doing it is sort of tricks she likes to play."

Siliwen prepares to cast Magic Missles. In the ensuing melee with everyone going every which way the effect of Color Spray just might affect her own party as well as the enemy they face.

The foes' broken speech was broken and guttural, but clearly understandable. They wanted her and expected the her companions to give her up to them to save their own lives. They didn't know he companions as she had grown to know them. They would not give her up, and neither would she in their places. She would fight equally hard of anyone of them was threatened in the same way.

That was the way it was, her plan now was to keep her friends form being doubled up on. Her targets were any foe that teamed up with another to attack one of her friends. She could keep picking them off as best as she could to help her friends. If either of those two riders that the Shelnak just took down try to get up and attack she targets one of them if not the second person on her nearest companion

Geim turns back to Alyssia as she starts to explain what she had been doing for the night. After she finished Geim had something more to day.

"Most of us, I daresay, prayed for the dead this night, but that was not all that needed doing." He gives her a level stare. "It is strange that we never saw you wandering around the village all night long in prayer, as you said you did. Though for your sake I do hope your Goddess is pleased with the extent of you efforts on her behalf."

"Draven. I said I did not expect anything more from you and and since you said none of this was your business, perhaps you need to give up some of that reward."

Since Malius said nothing Geim just gave him a quick look and went on into the inn.

Quietly he ate the hastily made up meal and then took off to get clean himself up and sleep. Geim felt tired and more than that drained after his tirade. Part of him felt justified to say what he had said. Part of him wondered why he had gone off like that. He usually didn't let things affect him that way. The old Runemaster tried to figure it out but his brain wouldn't wrapped itself around the problem. Perhaps the problems would work themselves out tonight and things would look better in the morning. Geim hoped so.

Geim said his prayers and prayed for divine guidance and then forgiveness for any who he had wronged this day. In his mind he choose those spells that had been most needed by the group as they traveled unknown lands fraught with dangers.

Draven was right about one thing, they still had that job left to do that they had originally contracted to do. Geim just wondered how many would be left to do it.

I will go find my horse recover the box go somewhere safe heal up. but I am not through with the orc king until his body in burned to ashes and/or destroyed in some wan and I know it. Now my horse is an elven steed and I will whistle for her to see if she returns. WE would be better off if we tried to find our horses and get away from here far enough to be safe to recover. In fact a few days might let things die down before going back in. The Shaman with crawling around and finding it head and with those little wiggling creatures--well that was just too bizarre to thing of and the king may be likewise affected.

Question: At what level can I make scrolls? I need to arm myself with a backup of spells.

Subject: Brianna

Brianna smiled as Xuor joined her at the table. Sitting down with her long legs stretched out.

She sighs deeply, "It is not a simple tale even though I could sum it up in a few words."

"Quite simply Lorae and I are the last of a group searching for the fabled Sword of Truth that is the only weapon that can be used against the Dark One. Only I bet that does not help you much." she says with a slight smile and then her face quiets and becomes more serious.

"For ages the Sword of Truth has be sought in my world all the while the Dark One's power grew. He was once a man but through arcane arts and deals with the evil of all sorts, he became less and less a man. Powerful beyond motal man, twisted beyond belief, consorting with demons and devils and dragons of evil intent, and whomever else he could trick, cheat or deal with to gain more powers and abilities."

"Yes, indeed that is another thing. Lorae and I are not from this world we were in a fight with the Dark One for control of the Orb of all Dragon Kind. Had he gotten his hands on that he could command all dragons. By chance It came into our hands before he could get it. However before we could get away with it he found us and tried to take it from us. The battle rage, but he had all the advantage superior numbers, great magical power. We were but six against all he could summond to wrest the Orb form us. We fought with desperation, but were losing. Several of us were down, and very shortly he would have taken it from us." Brianna paused the scenes of the furious battle between their small number and the Dark One and his forces were forever etched in her mind.

"I then did the only thing I could think off to deny him the Orb. I destroyed it. From that destruction a great vortex arose. We were all swept up into it. I think the Dark One was too, but we have no way of knowing for sure. When we came to ourselves again we were here, in this world which is not ours in a great old forest. It actually was not far form this place to be exact. About a day or so from Ashebenford. Three of my companions died before we could help them. They may have been dead already before we got swept up. Three lived. Lorae, My friend Jerrel and myself, oh, and Flame too, my dragonette and Shadowbane my horse I stole from the Death Knight the the Dark One had summons to fight us."

"Since then we set out to look for signs of the Dark One. If he is here he well make himself known by his acts. We also are looking for the Sword of Truth as well. It is prophesied in my world that a group will find the Sword of Truth and free our world of the Dark One.."

"Only we are here and he may be too and we are still dedicated to trying to find the Sword, then find the Dark One though it might be necessary to find a way home to do that."

"Not a simple tale at all" Brianna concludes, falling silent.

Topic: The Chakran Portal - an Adventure in Audalis
Subject: Geim

Geim said nothing to the errant party members that returned sometime the following day. That did not mean he would let what happened pass without comment, but his ire had built up and he did not trust himself to speak reasonably to them when they did. Perhaps he thought he was just tired, after all he had not rested since the night before last. He was a tough old campaigner who had seen much death. Not ever quite to this magnitude of innocents in such a small place. but plenty over his lifetime.

Geim had watched Elessarae stoically joining in and helping to carry, load, and move the dead to the grave that Loda and Thondrek were digging, even her horse helped by pulling the wagon--a strange beast, it had grown considerably since just a day ago.

When Geim realized that no one else was coming to help at first he shrugged it off. Draven could never be counted on, but Malius up and disappeared as did Alyssia as well.

As the night past his ire grew especially when the young Bladesinger showed such emotion when collecting the bodies of the children. She took extra care with each searching the home for a toy or something personal to lay with them before wrapping them up in a blanket. Babies in the cradle, toddlers at their mothers’ aprons, youngsters at play, all cut down in a moment. It was enough to make this old Khord break down, but he couldn't in front of the Bladesinger. He needed to be strong for them both, though it did not mean he did not care.

And thus his ire grew. Silently he brooded. The others should have been here to help. This was as much a part of the job they had chosen to do; as the fighting was. Did they think they were better that the Khords? And what about the Sylvari lass, did the others have no feeling for the distress this caused her, by dealing with all the dead?

Thus when they showed up he just glared at them. The Lady Quinlanday appeared with a priest of Solaris, and Geim held onto his words and his anger.

It was a right fine ceremony, and old Knord stood with his head bowed throughout it all. He tried to put all aside and let the peace and solemnity of the simple ceremony quiet his ire, but it was not easy. The Lady Elessarae stood beside the mass grave. Her emotions in check for now hopefully the ceremony will help her look forward again after laying all these to rest properly. He made eye contact with her and smiled encouragingly. Her face was pale and drawn. She, like the Khords, had not slept or rested the entire night. The delinquent others gathered by the graveside got only Geim’s dark frown.

Then other Sylvari from surrounding villages appeared in solemn procession out of the forest. Each carried a candle and joined in the ceremony for the departed souls of the Sylvari of Hith Elee.

Geim wiped his eyes, something he had to do all the time to keep the goo from running down his cheeks. This time though tears were intermixed with them. Ach, he was just tired. When the ceremony was concluded he helped to fill in the grave site.

Later that day, Quilanday gathered the companions and took them into a private area. There she handed them a leather pouch, containing gems who’s combined value reached 6000 GP. For each of the heroes she had an individual Fire Opal, worth 1000 GP.

“I had told you Sylvaria would be generous. And here is something to show My gratitude,” she added, and handed the heroes a small leather chest, which contained six potions.

”This be beyond generous, Lady.” Geim spoke up by way of thanking her and the Sylvari for their generosity. “Especially.....” and then Geim stopped “Never mind Lady it is nothing worth mentioning.” Geim said

Lady Quilanday went on, “I know you will need these if you’re traveling into the Chakran Mountains. May you return safely.”

She took Elessarae aside for a minute Geim didn’t know what was said but he guessed there would be more to do in this same vein.

Geim walked with the Lady to her horse and offered up his locked hands to help her up, and then the Priest as well.

“Safe journey for you both as well, fair Lady. We will make the goblins pay.”

After that she said her goodbyes to each of them individually, knowing that it would be a very long time before she would see any of them again.

He squelched a burning desire to ask her what price she would put of the burying of these Sylvari so as to deduct it from those who took no part in it. But he squashed the thought before voicing it; a bit surprised by the thought as unworthy of even being pondered.

Ach I just be tired and hungry and in need of rest he, thought to himself. Done with the grisly task as well as the ceremony he went into the inn to clean up, eat and rest.

As he started in Thondrek spoke up with the simple question likely resting on all their minds. "So, where to next?"

“No where right now.” replies Geim shortly. “We, Khords and the lassie here have not eaten nor rested since yesterday early I am going to clean up, eat and rest in that order. I will follow the lassie wherever she needs to go but I think there are some here that no longer have the same goals. Perhaps they should think about leaving and we will find others to take their place since they can’t seem to share the good with that bad.

Geim hadn’t planned letting loose like this. Oh, he had something to say to them, but it came out now in a rush of words, that surged out of his mouth.

“Seems us Khords and this one young Sylvari lass were the only ones to take care of the dead. Did you hire us to do this job and somehow I missed knowing about it? His eyes went to Draven, Malius, and Alyssia."

“Draven, one can never count of you unless whatever it is pleases you. I expected no more. It seems common sense have deserted you as well."

Geim rounds on Malius next, his heated words unstopped. "But you Malius, I expected more from you. These were your people and you disappeared and left the whole burden on a young lass who cried her eyes out silently every time she had to pick up a child and carry them out to the wagon. She took time for find each one a toy and wrapped whatever it was up in blankets with them. You should have been there, they were your people.”

Geim was just winding up and the words flowed hot and hard, but he did not care. “And you Alyssia, where were you during all of this? "Alyssia. you use to be a sensible lass and a real trooper. What made you so special that you did not think you needed to help."

All three of you off on your own pursuits with never a thought for the rest of us left taking care of everything.”

“It fair shakes my faith in each of you and I’d just as soon continue on without ye than with ye.” Geim paused then. It needed saying and right now he did not care how it came out.

“Now I am going in and getting a drink perhaps several drinks then eat and rest, and those of you who did not help can get going to wherever you want.”

Loda, Throndrek, Lassy you need to rest and eat too. I fix us something up for us all." Geim did not look back at the other three who had absented themselves from the collection and burial of the bodies of all those in Hith Elee.

"Come inside all of ye,"he gestures to the Khords and the Bladesinger and turned his back on the others.

Geim put actions to his words stomping into the inn and going to the kitchen. Filling up a large kettle with water and building a fire under it. Then he went in search of food stuffs that would not have spoiled since they had left this place, hard cheese, honey or jam and perhaps some bread and butter. He was sure that there was slab of bacon or a ham as well. From wherever they were he brought them out and put the makings of a meal on the kitchen table. Then he begins to slice and cut the meat keeping himself busy with such trifling mundane matters and trying not to rehash what he had said.

They needed to hear it all.

Now you expect us to take care of some ancient undead that can enter your temple with impunity and is just a shadow of some greater evil behind him so that the Gods themselves are powerless?"

"I could wish that I did mistake your words, but I do not think I did or that you would lie to us about this to us. We few are a slender hope that the world now depends on, don't you "think?" perhaps you called the wrong Ranger out. I was one of my lowest my order that was allowed to take up this quest."

Raiel shakes her head in disbelief. then stands forward with bow in her left hand and sword in her right. Saluting the High Priest where he sat.

"I will not forswear myself as I am duty bound to carry out this quest, but I think you should have been more specific about the level of ability that is needed considering he gravity of the situation. I am here and will do my best."

"Now there are wounded and apparent a body the one of these good folk is hoping can be raised. I have arrows to collect." Raiel offers matter-of-factly directing the attention of the Priest back to what needs to be done here and now.

Even as she reached for the bow another goblin moved forward to attack her.

She took one step to stand behind the fallen body of the first goblin in hopes of foiling the attack of hte incoming goblin just a bit. Having to clamer over a body in the midst of an entangle spell might give her a chance to down this foe even with an unfamiliar weapon in her hand. "Corellon, see me safely through this so I can get the boy out alive and well." Tianna prepared herself to meet the attack she had a slight reach advantage which she hoped to use before he got close enough. she decided on a horizontal strike His doge could really only be to the left or right unless he held back or lunge forward, so her strike could possibly had a follow through to wherever he dodged too. Coolly she planned her attack putting aside all else to focus on the combat at hand--literally.

Amiri enjoyed having a clean bed and comfortable surroundings for the night. She shared a room with Asheera, who promptly asked her to call her Ash. Her prayers said for the night she studied her spell books preparing for the coming day. Not know what it might brings she studied a variety of spells that might be useful some defensive some offensive and healing spells certainly those were always needed.

After study Amiri silently practiced with her sword. The slim lovely blade had been a gift from her mother when she was accepted into the Sisterhood of the sword.. Her mother took much pride in her accomplishments for that, but virtually none for her skill as a cleric and mage.

Amiri sighed, her mother was what she was, a dedicated Sister of the Sword. Now Amiri was too. She finished cleaning the fine mithral leaf-bladed longsword and slipping it back into its sheath. She had sworn to keep that skill as good as her first love, which was being a cleric and mage. She had missed a lot while she devoted herself to mastering the sword.

Amiri quietly wondered how far she would have been along her own chosen path if her eldest sister had not died. Stripping down she climbed into the bed with nothing more that a fine half shift on. She didn't like the feel for rough sheets that that these were but she also did not want to be waken suddenly and have nothing on as she sprang into action. Amiri laid her sword next to her; her hand on the scabbard. Sleep came and with it dreams. Nothing bad but many things played out in the night that touched on thoughts she had put aside during the day. Vague shadows drifted in and out, beggars kept disappearing before her eyes. Something darker and more ominous lingered hidden yet but always there just out of perception.

With the sun rise Amiri rose and gave thanks for the new day and new opportunities. The big question on her mind was who had assemble this group and when could they find out about when they were going to start on it.

Gradually during breakfast various other who had evidenced an interest is doing something about the problem entered the common room . AMiri would make eye contact with them as they came down woping they would join Ash and herself. Amiri and Ash set off outside to see what there was to see.

To the others, Amiri says. "I hope today we will find out more about what we have signed up for."

Other replies

After breakfast Amiri is ready to head out nd it seems so are the others. So she joins the flow out the front door. Off to the side a young woman steps forth. Amiri listens to what she has to say and make genrous offers of horses, pack animals and supplies for them all. Someone was financing this venture but the young woman said nothing about whom.

"I would certainly like t know who has gathered us together, what qualifications they are seeking, and what do they know about this venture beside the rumors and tales?"

“You have that, Aelistae, indeed it is, as we have faced foes, shed blood and fought with all our skills to aid each other. These are but token gifts, small things that I hope will delight you. As my mother use to always say, “Share you good fortune that it may come back to your in time of need.” She said it many different ways but I understood what she was saying.” Loriel close her hand on Aelistae’s but held them shut over the small package, “I wanted to give you each a gift. Please accept yours. I took joy in choosing each one.”

Left unsaid was that she would be saddened if they were refused.

“We are truly a diverse group with many different reasons to accept this quest. We have had difficulties not only with foes but within as well but we have shown ourselves we can work together for the good of all and to achieve success. I hope that we can build on what makes us stronger together.”

“Please, all of you share in my good fortune.”

Subject: A day of shopping

After Loriel came back to the inn with Aelistae she turned to her, “I am going to take Moonshadow out for a tun and let her hunt. I will be back well before evening, I am not going far. But before she did leave the environs she had some more shopping to do. Stopping off and shops she purchases little things as they caught her eye. After seeing the dress that Elesia gave to Artanis it awoke in Loriel a buries longing to wear a dress again. For years she had worn the leathers and cloth attire of a ranger. Artanis had been transformed by wearing that dress. It might be a frivolous expenditure but she wanted a dress too.

Loriel hunted around for a dress of elven design and make of silk. It took her a bit to find the right shop but she did. The merchant specialized in finer garments for men and women. She found one that she liked a lot and the man had it tailored to her as she went on shopping Share her good fortune was what her mother used to call it. . Loriel had purchased what she had wanted; wants, her new bow, bonus damage arrows, antitoxins, an Cure Light Wounds wand, all practical things she needed but she had some moneys left over

“Share you good fortune and you will find that others will share them with you and more importantly often they are willing to share you bad fortune and help you through it. Mother was a firm believer in that doctrine. So Loriel carefully thought about what she could get others as well. She found gifts for all them as she continued shopping. She was quite happy with the results of her shopping for others and looked forward to giving her gifts out. She purchased a basket to carry her gifts that she had the merchants wrapped up and went back to the dress shop to get her newly tailored dress.

At least she could wear it tonight and for the first time not be in cloth or leathers or armor. She walked with her basket and Moonshadow outside the castle to let Moonshadow have a run. Loriel return ot the inn in good time but she had things yet to do. One was to bathe Moonshadow/ She went back to the stable to get a large tub and have water pumped into it even as big as it was she could only get half the big wolf/cooshee cross in it at a time. It was a sight to see.

Moonshadow did not fight getting the bath but she did not help Loriel either. Loriel had to lift one leg at a time and push and prod Moonshadow until she stood with her front legs in the tub then she rinsed her off with water and soaped her up scrubbing away. Moonshadow would inevitably get one of her paws out of the tub and Loriel had to lift and lush it back in. Needless to say Loriel got soaking wet as she did this. They she had to move the dog to get her back end into the tub. More water splashing more pushing and shoving. Loriel was soapy and sopping wet when Moonshadow was finally clean. Loriel rinse her off and then Moonshadow jumped out of the tub and shook herself thoroughly and also thoroughly soaking Loriel yet again. There was not a dry place visible on Loriel.

Afternoon was just about gone when Loriel went upstairs to bathe herself yet again and dress for dinner. She gave the first of her gifts to Kas when she entered the room laying it on the bed for her to find. When Kas enters Loriel looks up from her bath,. “ I have a gift for you it is on the bed. I hope you like it.” Wrapped in paper on her bed is a package that is not heavy or hard. Opening it Kas fine a silken gown of royal blue with silver embroidery around the neck and sleeves that were long and tight fitting in an elven style. It clung close to the breasts and waist but at the hips to a sweeping skirt. “Try it on. I had to guess your size but I think it will fit you if not you can get it altered to fit by the. On the other side of the bed lay a gown of pale silver silk slightly patterned with areas of translucent and opaque areas cunning place to tantalize but not titillate. It too was also delicately embroidered in gold at the neck and sleeves. Both are fine gowns of elven design, nor opulent or ostentatious but very elegant none-the-less.

Loriel got up out of the bath. The water is still hot I just was rinsing off after giving Moonshadow a bath. So it is your now. I am going to get dressed after I dry my hair by the fire. She took her towel and dried herself off and then went to the hearth, set the towel down and sat on it as she brushed her hair. That she was a naked as the day she was born made no difference to her certainly not in the privacy of their room. With long slow strokes she brushed her hair to encourage it to straighten a bit. Not that it did much good as soon as it began to dry it began to curl. It was her bane. Not the long silky locks her mother and sisters had but wayward curls that would not stop.

Evening at the Inn

When Kas was ready and her gown adjusted Loriel walked downstairs with Kas and Moonshadow following along. She headed straight for the outside area because Moonshadow would be more comfortable as would she. There she found the other gathered in various places. Elesia was dancing with Bartm, Aelistae, Xaris and LInnix were seated at a table. Loriel headed over to the table.

I bought you all a gift today. I had dun doing it. Please accept them in the spirit of friendship. She passed Xaris the the paper wrapped bundle, Ir contains a new silk shirt of deep green with geometric embroidrey of multicolors. "I thought this color would suit you well. I hope you like it?" Loriel adds

To Linnix. she hands a a smaller package but it was weighty. In it is a fine pair o leather gloves also embroidered and embellished with fancy stitching and a bracelet of embossed silver with turquoise stone set in the center. "I thought the turquoise was as close to your eye color as I could get."

To Aelistae she handed and smaller package. in it was a brooch of gold set with tiny citrines all over it in the shape of the full moon. The jeweler had cleverly used pale citrines for most of the moon and a few of darker colors for the dark areas of their own moon. "Aelistae I though this was perfect for you. It is a pin but I can also be worn on a chain as a pendant, if you wish to.

Anyone seen Artanis? Loriel asks. Wanting to give out the rest of her gifts. She hoped they all like what she had chosen for them. She sat down eager to watch them open their presents.

More later when Bart and Elesia come to the table and when Artanis shows up.

Siliwen had prepare a spell even as they riders first apporached. She held it ready even as they rode into sight. As the very land they moved through had been tainted so were these men. Disfigured not by war or fire or injure but in ways of dark magic. Twisted vissages and nore than that so was their speech. Something crude and ill formed very rudimentary guttural but understandable. THey were not friendly, but perhaps they could get past with nothing but the harsh exchange of words.

That was until they caught sight of their new silent member of their party. ONe look at him they charged yelling with bestial growls that she could not understand.

Siliwen got ready to cast Color Spray at the riders charging directly at her only she never got a chance The Shelnak stwp forward directly into their path.

Siliwen was sure he would be trample under foot byy the charging riders. he moved suddenly gabbing at the horses legs and quickly as he did the horse stumbled and fell throwing their riders heavily to the ground. She was so surprised by the outcome she did not cast a thing.

In a moment her surprise had passes and she turns to find any others opponents that she could use her color spray on without affecting her comrades. though mostly their backs were towards her as they fought against their attackers too Taking aim on on one of the riders in case they get up.

“Staff Sergeant,” The Lieutenant called over to Kane. “Take Lee, Johannsen, and Pearson and clear this level, starting down the hall at the main lab. Keep in constant radio contact, and be aware that I’m blocking the door to the main foyer, so the only access you’ll have back to this room is through that hall door."

Inga brought her right up to and followed Kane out of the communications center she purposefully stayed to the rear of the group. Kane had explained his reasons why he was doing this and she didn't need him to explain it again. After all if made good sense.

Kane motioned for them to stay back as he entrred the Main lab first.

Johnston kept her attention on their rear, right in the six o'clock.

Inga heard Kane whistle not of alert but something else. “Any bets on whether or not this is the cause of this whole mess,” He said looking back as the others came into the room. He didn’t expect any takers.

“Looks like a hell of a firefight happened here,” Lee said gesturing with his carbine at all the spent casings and the damage to the room. Turning to look at Kane he kept a close eye out for trouble while he waited on Sgt Kane to give new orders.

Inga ws the last to move in standing out the door and keeping watch. Inside was some weird device surrounded with a blue glow.

"That's a negative, Sgt. Lee." Inga responded to the question. "That blue glow sure looks like what we went through outside to get to this place.
