Subject: The Ship

There was nothing wrong with the ship, it was uncanny, the perfect little fighter stood before him, high powered, fast, maneuverable, accurate, stable, it just ticked all the boxes. It was a remarkable piece of design and manufacture, not to mention engineering, were all KTI ships like this one? It would mark a new era in space flight.

As it was the ship's shape reminded him of a bird he saw in a holograph, the bird could fly remarkable long distances and fly through almost any storm. When it dived it folded it's wings in for extra speed, and there were hydraulics and hinges on the ship to allow this. A 'perfect' fusion of technology and nature, how was this possible, it shouldn't be, but it is.

As for the disturbance in the force it now seemed not to be the actual ship, more the technology used in it, new technology, never seen by this galaxy before. The ship it's self had an inviting feeling about it, the very force said to him 'Fly this ship, this ship is good.' but at the same time it said 'Don't trust the makers.'

(OOC: I like the pic as well, it isn't mine but it took me ages to find a pic that suited the design spec.)

As Grshak returns the word plan rings in Drassarr's ears, it was less of a plan and more a point of argument, in fact it was no plan, it was pride and instinct and emotion. Maybe he should control himself around these beings, they obviously have no knowledge of his culture, all this though with some acid on the words.
"Yesss, first we muct ssearrrch where he left. I trust we saw where he disssapearrded, once we find it ssome of you mussst follow me down, I sshould be able to catch him up and hold him, theirrr is no doubt he belivess hisself frree. The rest should try to find the other exit, it'll have an exit ssomewherre, I am told dwarrvesss are good with stone. We play to ourr strrengthss."

[Spot check to see if he can find where the thife ran through, taking 10]

Trusting he can find where the thief ran Dresserr beckons the dwarf to help him look.

"I am Lenwe Utinuenmirima Calaudra but you may call me Julius if you so wish"
He says sitting down at the table, talking a sip from his goblet once he is seated and turns to Brianna. Out from under his furs the pommel and a curved handle show when he sits, they seem to have a frosty coldness spread over their surface as if left out in the cold.
"I am glad that I have met someone with my same philosophy, I just assumed that you had purchased the creature as is, unfortunately, usual in 'this' world. I do not know if that is true for your world, you will have to tell me about it at some time, I know of gods and goddesses, magics and nature, and of other plains of existence but not of other worlds. I am intrigued but that might have to wait, if not be put off. Tell me, why have you come here? Are you hunters after some fabled creature that no longer lives or did you arrive here to restock and intend to move on in a day or two?"
He takes a second sip from his drink and looks around, throwing the question open for all round the table to answer.

Subject: Hi, I'm new

As you wait and talk a young human eating some berries enters the inn and makes his way to the serving counter, upon closer inspection however you see that this wild, curly haired young human is an elf. His light brown hair reaching down to his shoulder and bright, lively, hazel eyes and coppery skin, he is dressed in lose leather and fur of greatly differing hue. As he turns towards the elderly innkeeper he speaks in a melodic voice. "The usual please, a room for the night and could I order something for the morning, preferably something with venison. I want to make a good start in the morning." and with a slight laugh he finishes the berries he's holding.

Having picked up his drink and payed for it, (OOC: elven mead if the innkeeper usually has it, if not some ale), and looks around, instantly caught by the table sitting Brianna and Xuor. He approaches it and sits down to make conversation. "Dose one of you two own that horse in the stable, the black stallion? Their is something unearthly about it." Overhead and outside a falcon of some sorts plays with its prey, a pigeon, before catching it in it's talons and killing it. The bird then flys under the eaves of the inn with remarkable speed and perches there eating the pigeon, a few feathers drop to the ground outside.

It's then Xuor remembers Yew berries are poisonous to both humans and elves. Why would somebody poison himself and then ask about a horse?

(OOC: Lenwe has previously cast Purify Food and Drink on the berries to stop them being poisonous.

suicidolt, Merideth, I just need you two to post before rapping up this scene and writing my next long post.

Merideth, I need you to post your response to suicidolt so I know what the ship is doing.

suicidolt, I need you to post after Merideth with what surprise you have in store if she lets you do that.

Once that is done I will end of scene and some detailed space battles later you will be back in control.

You enter the hanger just as a door of to the side finishes closing, it's a large completely unfurnished room with only one item in it, the new fighter. The disturbance must be coming from that.

The Force, the all encompassing force in the universe, or so it seemed before the Vong, it was never wrong, just open to misinterpretation. Their was something wrong here, it wasn't just with the new craft, it wasn't the entire building, the whole thing just felt wrong. It was enough to send a chill down any Jedi's back, and Jedi arnt meant to get the chills, last time they did the universe was thrown in to a violent and bloody war.

The interpretation that the whole 'thing' felt wrong isn't much of a lead for Bruel to follow, he was sent to test the new craft and that is what he should do, the desire to investigate what the 'thing' is should be postponed, something did say to him what the thing was though. The thing felt like the company it's self, something about the company felt wrong.

He acked to rush after him, these seconds were precious and he was reluctant to let prey get away. He addressed the drow, his scowl obvious but he knew that they must stay together as a pack if they were to win, or was that important, surly his 'enjoyment' at their tasks when they cam were more important.

In hissed urgent tones he said "Not follow! My rracce arre hunterrsss. We chassse our prrey like the great cat. Why ssshould I not if I can out rrun him?"

In his heart of hearts he knew this was a pointless argument, the thief was too far away, but he was enraged at that a creature who's race spent it's life skulking around in the dark.

Beli stood in the doorway of the apartment with little expression on her face, but what was their was sadness, she was thinking about something that had past or a tragic predicted. She was in a sort of trance like state just following Ronam around with her gaze, it was only when he looked at her that she snapped out of it.
"Everything is in order."
Was her reply as moved her hands behind her back,
"The test flights will begin tomorrow, you'll be testing it's maneuverability first, then the weapons system at about mid-day. Lastly the team here at KTI would like you
to test the ships hyper-space capabilities."
She turned to leave but the remembered one last thing.
"Also we would like you to attend a small presentation after the test flight and you are free to view the craft at your leisure, it will be in the landing bay you arrived in within the hour."

The door slid close behind her with a hiss.

Duncan says hi, I have agreed with him that his character shall stay a PC but not come into the game until later in the game.

I have sorted for YeOlde to take the position of Jedi Starfighter Pilot and once he joins will hopefully want to stay in the game permanently, he will not be replaced and he is not a replacement, he's another, slightly unforeseen, character.

But it sounds like your assuming this games combat is being run like in The Red Dragon Arena Battlegrounds where the first posts gets the initiative, it's not being run like that. As normal with D&D intuitive will be decided by dice roll with various modifiers added on (at least that is my assumption).

And as you have shown earlier and admitted to you do miss things in posts, may I draw your attention to this part of my post.

judging his run to cover the distance between where his run started and the turn in the cave, their is no chance of him running around the corner.

Meaning that he stops before rounding the corner and is not in melee or dose not have a ranged weapon.

I am sorry if this post comes across as inflammatory, it isn't meant to be, but out of good will I will let you post first and will not divulge the contents of your message to me to any one else on the inn.

Jevaf's words echoed out of the cave for all close ears to hear, 'Treachery is rewarded with death', not very subtle but it made him laugh as he began his run into the cave.

A slight pause between hearing the words and him moving were almost undetectable such was his speed and as he ran he drew his blade, judging his run to cover the distance between where his run started and the turn in the cave, their is no chance of him running around the corner. His golden fur rippling as he ran and his long brown hair whipping out behind him.

((OOC: I believe that Drassarr is now 40ft from the thief, so if he gets better initiative then Jevaf on the next round he should be able to move and make a single attack. Am I correct?))

He is holding the painting, most likely in his left hand.
The sun rod is tucked in his belt.
He has a dagger in his, most likely, right hand and has threatened to cut up the painting.
Jevaf has moved to attack and Drassarr has run into the cave drawing his elven courtblade.

I believe that Drassarr is now 40ft from the thief, so if he gets better initiative then Jevaf on the next round he should be able to move and make a single attack. Am I correct?
