Subject: search

I know it would take a tremendous amount of time to search the transport but what dose Kavtan find? If anything.

Kavtan smiles at the response he got from Susska, I almost jumped for joy.

Kavtan knew that he had to conceal his emotions, he did this as best he could but all the same he couldn't stop a small, sly smile play across his face as he heard Susska's reaction and to hear he confirm what he thought he already knew, and help him formulate an idea about the culprits further. The Union were enforcing in Guild territory and they had appeared at the precise right time to assassinate the prime suspect, yes they had a good excuse but he was endlessly suspicious of The Union, thanks to a bounty hunter tell him one of them had put credits on his head, the only reassuring words he heard in that conversation was 'but they didn't pay enough.'

He thanked Susska for letting him examine the craft and made his way out onto the landing strip, it was bad, there wasn't much left and there were piles of debris all over the place. No sooner was he outside than he ran over to the craft wreckage and started and extremely thorough search of the wreckage insisting that he isn't disturbed and that anything that was removed from the ship be replaced in the exact same place as it was picked up.

OOC:- Taking 20 on search checks, if he finds nothing on the ship wreckage then he'll move onto the debris piles.

The inn lobby is a small room with only a desk in and a middle aged human male behind it. The rooms are less then what you would expect but there cheap and the best on short notice.

The tavern has a lot of shady patrons talking quietly to themselves however none of them are of interest to any of you. The ale is slightly over-priced and poor quality.

Subject: Kavtan Cleentor

Kavtan ran towards the cantina, eager to get there for some reason he didn't quite know, maybe he just wanted to run, it had been so long since he had gone specifically for one. It was good to exercise his joints again, he had spent so long working on ships that although he was extremely dexterous he hadn't had time to exercise.

On arriving at Klebb's place he saw 3 people in red and gold, they must be from the guild. He entered the cantina through he blasted window and introduced himself immediately. He registered there race as soon as he had a clear look at them, a Twi'lek and a Duros, one of his own race, all carrying blaster rifles with a Trandoshan female, there boss as it turned out.
"Kavtan Cleentor, I am an employ of Klebb and helped Si-Di putting out the fire on the transport and rescuing the passengers."
His voice was thinner then usual, it was seeing the head of security for both The Union and The Guild in the same hour, possible the very guy who had put a price on his head.

Si-Di continues, “If you would please have someone examine the wreckage of the ship for evidence and also if they find any remains of a Jedi Master among the dead, please secure it and notify me at once…. Thank you!”

Si-Di had said something that slightly interested him, his response was probably less pleasing to Susska then she must have wanted but it made sense.
"Si-Di, I'll have a look at the wreckage, I didn't have time before but I doubt there will be much remaining of the bomb, the best chance will be some sort of transmitter"
this next part was a tactical stroke of genius by him thought
"but if there was one it was probably held by the arcona that fled, Tamir Slade and his crones killed him and carted him off through. You know, The Union, it would be best if they could of let me search him but they didn't extend that hospitality to myself and the other Jedi."

He did this to keep Si-Di updated of cause but his focus was on Susska, her reaction would prove himself to be genius or fool, depends how diplomatic she was and how she took bad news.

I'll let you post YeOlde then I'll put something up, that way you get to respond and I get to run and see The Guild.

You haven't delayed us, grugg was absent for a wile as well but like Cap'n said 'there is not posting rota', I just thought to give you a good chance before butting in.

As you arrive in Athkatla, spectacular port city and renowned gate to the rest of Faerun by islanders, you are awestruck not only by the city itself but the population, such a diverse site you've never seen. Also the ships, trade ships from the far north and south and ships coming and going to the far east, yes another continent rich in gold and iron and spice, the stuff of pirate dreams are on the boats.

As you disembark the captain bids you farewell and reminds you of the name, you make your way through the docks district to the first inn you see to book yourself in, your next stop is the Sea Bounty's Tavern. A typical pirate pub if there ever was one, Shaben would not approve.

"Innocent doesn't work when you make a demand and I don't think there's a single person on this planet who's innocent."
His tone is hard to decipher, it might be half scolding or half joke, but he is being sincere.
"The fumes do get to your head, I've grown up with them but they'll take hold in a bit, we best get back to the cantina to tell Si-Di what's happened."

Turning his back to the jedi he starts to walk back to the cantina, his chest acing. When he gets there he looks forward to a nice drink at the bar, he knows about the casualties and that they might make it difficult to get one but really they weren't his lookout, he was a mechanic and he had done what he could. They were the emergency services problem now.

(OOC:I am ready to post up his action back at the cantina but I think you need some more time to conclude things.)

1) How do you normally keep track of characters in your games?
I just can, I can leave a game for weeks on end then pick the characters and plot back up and continue, soz, not much help there.

2) What kind of limit do you normally give on posting, or do you?
As a DM I like to make sure that each player has as much of an incentive to post as another, something I'm currently failing at, I don't consider it my call if some players are posting more then others because of that.

3) What tricks do you use to keep track of game info?
Again I can just remember, but I do have a detailed plot line for my adventures, you can always read through the posts as well.

4) Do you use karma at all?
If someone is very deserving of it, they make me smile or laugh. Kama is just a bit of fun and nothing to take seriously, although I have done in the past.

Topic: Star Wars: Patterns of Deception
Subject: Kavtan Cleentor

Kavtan waited until Tamir Slade had gone to respond to Ninkanna, he even waited until Tamir was out of site and round the corner to respond. He knew that they just wanted a reason to get rid of him, he had heard rumors about opposition mechanics and such like being forced away to other planets to work in the mines, but they were only rumors. There was no reason to suspect that, he just needed to be a bit more careful then the average person, in fact, Ninkanna needed to be more careful, he knew she had said she wasn't diplomatic but on this planet you needed to be.

Once he had seen Slade round the corner he spat into the dirt where Tamir had been standing before spitting out an insult about Ninkanna in his own tongue, without mentioning her name or facing her, and walked back to Klebbs cantina, away from the fumes, he had grown up with the smell around him, it was still foul but he was more accustomed to it then the jedi, he laughed inwardly.

Why had The Union killed the arcona? Why didn't they let him search the arcona? When will The Guild become involved?
All these questions swirled inside his head, he wondered why he had risked his life for the jedi. He was caught up in this now. Finally he turned back to Ninkanna,
"Why are you here, you haven't come on a diplomatic mission. I'm involved in this now, you might as well tell me."

I know that you can not continue until Grugg posts up, my characters natural inclination would be to return back to the cantina and so I will become stuck, this is the problem when people stop posting for a wile, at least this isn't happening before the meal, if it was the game would be in trouble.
