Subject: the brave and the bold

"Treat me like a child if you must, but do not disrespect me by saying I'm useless on a battlefield." "I am smarter than I look."

If he was honest the boy was a good height, he was worth a chance. Maybe he's been through more then his share if he's willing to go and fight at such an age, Damocles certainly wouldn't have done so. And bravery was something to be valued but it's only a step away from stupidity, he hoped Beau was as smart as he boasted.

"I certainly wasn't brave enough to fight when I was your age, lets hope the battle doesn't see either us in the ground"

"Could kick your ***"

It could be hard to take serous note of children, particularly when they muttered such rubbish but Damocles still replied.

"It would hardly honorable to fight with someone so young, but if your sure then I'm not going to stop you coming."

Although his discussion with the boy he couldn't help being distracted but the green haired thing that had just entered the inn. He'd seen him outside and counted him as a weirdo but now he'd open his mouth Damocles was positive the man was insane.
"Get me in there, I don't care how you do it. They're destroying our natural environment, they deserve to die. And I'll be the one to do it."
The creature was not the type you wanted in a fighting force, a wild cannon with a disrespect for authority. A leash might be a useful implement.

Damocles had looked up and payed attention to the newcomer at the lower left table almost as soon as he'd entered the inn, he was almost definitely not here for the drink or cool, like himself or Dron. Suspicions were confirmed as the man stood on the table and addressed the inn, the western border was close to breaking which wouldn't bode well for anyone. If the monstrous hoards crossed western Breland not only would miles of farmland be destroyed but they would gain control of the lightning rail and lines of transport straight into Aunair, Thrane and Zilargo. Of cause this didn't cross his mind, his first though was to protect his home nation and to hopefully survive the encounter.

Getting up and crossing to the table with Dron he looked at the paper with him before signing his name and turning to Dron.
"I have to go with the mercenary and protect Breland, your help would be welcome but no doubt Breland isn't your first concern."

Turning to the mercenary he wondered how he expected an inn's patrons to put up much of a fight against those that inhabit Droaam but instead he asked about the boy.
"Do you think it's a good idea to bring a boy, even if he does come how do you expect him to fight or who's going to stop him getting killed?"

Any one's character from Sharn?

My character's current residence is in Sharn, and it has been all his life, so if any one fancies working my character into their character's history I'd be up for it.

My brother has a X-box 360, it kept breaking down for quite a wile then I vacuumed out the filters to where the fan is and it seems to be working fine now.

The main problem with X-boxes seems to be overheating, the fans, in my opinion, are too small on them to reduce noise so it gets damn hot in there. My brother's old x-box actually managed to melt a strip of solder as well so that wasn't good.

EDIT: My brothers has broken his now.

Here's how it goes, I started so I post a quote. The next person tells us who originally said that quote and then he or she posts a quote and so on until enough people get board and this game disappears into inactivity.

"You can always count on Americans to do the right thing—after they’ve tried everything else."

Just want to make clear I'm not trying to be nasty to any Americans with this, it's just a quote off my quote of the day thing.

Arrune suddenly remembered about Kate, it wasn't she didn't care about her, just that she was a bit angry with Ben. She'd forgotten how important it was to Kate to be asked to be involved rather then it being assumed. She was glad that Ben was including them in this, what ever it was.

"I'd never wipe you Kate. You’re too much an organic."

But this filled her with guilt. But Kate was better now. She was caring and passionate; she'd learnt so much and developed such a good personality.

If she could get Awvoor's trust to work on the ship. She needed to finish the flame thrower, wonder what I can do with the shield generator. Don't think I'll put it on my speeder, or maybe I will. Turning to the Rodian she asked

"Your familiar with this planet aren’t you? Can you take me to some scrap yards or rubbish dumps? Somewhere I can find starship parts, particularly military ships or weaponry."

She turned back to Ben and Awvoor

"As were here and trying to award the Mandalorians would you mind if I worked on the ship? Perhaps improve the sublightspeed or hyperdrive speeds."

But that's not all she intended to do, combat thrusters and a disguised or better yet IFF transponder.

(OOC: I'm going to be in Wales with my college Friday, Saturday, Sunday and only get back Monday night so I'll most likly be wacked)

Subject: Appeasement, it's easy once you know how.

Arrune listened to Benjamin after her outburst, she can't say it was calculated but it certainly seamed the only way to get even a thread of information. She had heard of the Sith, not much but enough, it the Sith are after the data disks then they must be galactically important and it seamed sensible to disguise it as a Mandalorian chance attack. Benjamin had also extended the invite to Kate, Arrune knew that Kate's life had been on that planet and was unlikely to let it go without wanting some sort or fight. She also knew that Kate was her closest friend and she'd follow her to the death... if that's applicable for droid.

As Ben came to explaining his mission he let her see into his eyes, a chance she didn't take. She could just about tell, maybe, if someone was uncomfortable by their body language. He was telling the truth, maybe he was uncomfortable about the cost of his mission in lives but more likely Arrune was just hoping he was.

"If the Sith are after whatever the ambassador has then I'm with you."

She wasn't ready to say his name yet but she wasn't going to call him 'Jedi' anymore. She hoped Kate would help, she hated droid pilots but she'd trust Kate as her co-pilot or wing-woman any day. If only they could convince the Nobel to let her at the controls.

Upon writing the chest she dumps her non-essentials on it, everything but her pistol, belt, bandolier and comlink, and turns to the pyromaniac. She wouldn't be blowing the place up the the grenades but it was simpler just to leave them on the bandolier, she hated the uniforms and fatigues. On her home planet they worked hard and played hard, as soon as work was done then into casual gear and a game or three of grav-ball, she had the perfect build for it, maybe shorter but she was athletic with beyond human reflexes and the sleek muscles of an athlete. She was competitive to, maybe that's why she was picked to the patrol leader because it couldn't be because of her farther.

"Please don't call me ma’am, I'm not a fan of ranks and hierarchies. But I agree with you, torch the whole place. I don't think we should though, you know what these are so maybe you could help us find a nest. I can't see any harm in tackling the same way my people tackled the Kiltik."

Adol's soft tones gently answer those of the only other female, she wished they had a separate room away from the men.

"Anyone think that it's a bad idea to hit the nest?"

Subject: This is why I hate Jedi

The Jedi had the arrogance to ask for thanks for saving them, no doubt it was him and his friend that got us into this. Never had she met someone who kept his cards so close to his chest when he was so close to being found out, she already knew that he had information the Mandals wanted and that it must be important. No doubt the Mandals would be able to find then and track them to where ever the disk was going.

Half yelling at the Jedi Arrune put aside Kate's gambling comment, she wasn't going to be insulted but this Jedi when she'd had to fly for her own life twice in her life now.
"How dare you, if it weren't for you and him we'd never have been attacked. It's obvious that the Mandals want whatever your acting courier for otherwise they wouldn't have attacked just our transport and certainly wouldn't have pursued the Doctor's ship. You put us all at risk for some data disk that you need to deliver to some friend."

She paused to draw breath, she was getting quite a color in her face now (would be red except I don't know what color blue Twi'leks go when their angry)
"Mandalorians just don't do that any way. There a warrior people, poodoo beliefs like glory in death and battle and facing armed opponents, they don't just attack civilians like that. Some one's controlling them, why do you tell us who that was with the lightsaber cos Mandals just don't do that."

And she knew, or she thought she did, she'd met one before she got her freedom. She did a good job on upgrading his armor, wonder if it's one of the one's on that ship.

Just on the brink of pulling one of her glow rods from her belt, the only one in her belt, the rest in the survival pack, the lights flickered on. They reveled a room full of upturned bunks, knocked over cabinets, old think vines and an almost impenetrable layer of dust. In fact a few things had penetrated the payer of dust, the floor was covered in paw prints from some large animal, the rats the droid had warned about were not normal rats. They must be huge, big as dogs, and strong by the look of it, pulling over cabinets and upturning beds was not within the strength of a normal sized rat.

Speaking into the short-range comlink on her wrist she thanked.
"Thanks, much better. What had happened to the lights, doesn't seem anything you couldn't sort though. You might want to come in but keep your blaster out, the rats look like they'll be huge."

Adol herself was slightly converted by her blaster, if she hadn't had it out the worst thing that could have happened would be having to go claws out on a rat.

Her speaking to ... showed her comlink for the first time completely to those behind her, it was embedded into a leather or leather looking bracer had had a small holoprojector on it, if Teldan's hadn't been sub dermal then a small 3d real time image of her would have appeared above the his comlink. It wasn't the comlink of a soldier, it was that of a smuggler. And now that came up so did her pistol, the both seamed smuggler ish and well used.

Addressing the rest of the group she casual said
"Maybe HNO3 isn't a bad idea, or even just a tonne of explosives, level this place and start over.

getting more serous
"OK, let's get our things down and see if we can get rid of the rats before we do anything else. If the worse come to the worse there are probably ships in the hanger and we can sleep in the cockpits."

Adol moved towards the nearest bunk or overturned cabinet, her train of though was obvious. 'We can at lease get these things sorted before getting started.' As she up righted it, possible with the help of someone else depending on how auquard or heavy it is.

Subject: The Rodian, The Jedi and the Ship

All this conversation and none of it open, or at least only Rodians and nobody seemed to be paying much attention to him. What was interesting was the conversation the Jedi, the Noble and the so called diplomat. She'd seen a data disk thing earlier on the ship and had wondered about what it was, now it was kind of obvious that it's what they were attacked for so they had a choice. See that the disk got to where it needed to go or stay her, be found and then be torchered for it's location. The biggest worry was Kate, it would only need someone to access her memory to find the location.

She started off rather confrontational but her tone turned almost hopeful towards the end with the thrill of an adventure.
"So Jedi, I think you should come clean. I know you have a data disk and it's probaly why we got chased. Just tell us the truth so we can decide, if you don't tell use and we stay here you've killed us because they'll hunt us down and torcher us. You tell us and we stay here the same thing happens, but you tell us and we come we can see to getting the job done. I'd come if only you'd tell us the truth."

Any force user would be able to tell she's telling the truth and anyone with enough reasoning would be able to work out their fate if they stayed. The Jedi was in a right situation, of cause this was slightly calculated, she knew he'd only tell the truth if it was the only option and she hoped that he wouldn't condemn them.

Seeing as I have the speeder it could make things a lot easier, if I stay at the ship to make modification, which I intend to do, then if the main group needs me or there's a key point coming up then you can contact me by your comlinks and ask me to come.

It might take a few minutes but if I used 'all out movement' then it wouldn't take to long.

What does anyone think to this?

Just to check.

Are we using the chemical verity of glow rods or the verity that uses a power pack?

I think for ease we should use the power pack verity just so we don't have to keep ordering more.

Adol turned to Saysei with his big gun, something showing how new she was to the command thing.

"Yer sure, but we better get rid of any local wildlife first. I don't want rats chewing holes in our stuff."

She turned back to the job at hand and started down the corridor with her pistol drawn, she wasn't too worried. As the droid had warned only about rats but she was just a one sixty two centimeter cat person. Caution was always best and whist she would rather just use her claws on animals smaller then herself, but as she was in company there would be no using her claws in combat and no eating raw meat.

Without turning back to Saysei she asked.

"So where did you come from? What drew these guys to you?"

This was risky, Arrune had little idea about how much a Republic customs official would need to be bribed. She had always managed the right amount when getting the permit for her speeder but she was able to be non-specific, if the person thought your weren't too sure about how much to offer then he knew to help you out.

"I only have a thousand credits on me, most of my belongings were left on Malachor V. Maybe one of my friends here could help if a thousand isn't enough."

All this time she was using her experience at the university of life to smooth talk the man, not that what she said wasn't particularity small talk but how she said it and her body language attempted to manipulate him to take the bribe.

(Persuasion check probably)

And if this doesn't work then she was busy summoning her knowledge of bureacracy idiots and their stupid protocol in case that will help the situation.

(Knowledge (Bureacracy) check in the chance it might help)
