History and Information

I encourage role-playing in this game and put a lot of pressure on information sharing, so much so that I have provided each of you with vital information to your characters success, but the person who has the info doesn't necessarily know how to use it.

I advise you each look at the info I sent you at the start of the game and think about how it might be relevant before putting up your next few posts.

It wasn't too long after Lelain had started her rest that the sirens stopped. A death sentence. For anyone without a means of escape. It would take a few minutes for the guard to get to the hanger and a few more to get past the doors but it wasn't quite long enough to get comfortable away, with any luck the intrepid group would escape the hanger before the hanger blast doors were closed, but there would be no doubt that they would be followed, by either a droid ship or a piloted one. And if that happened there was only one choice, a space battle, they would need to exit the atmosphere and then re-enter at different coordinates in order not to be tracked.

An obvious smile ran across Drassarr's face, his plan had worked, without telling them so Maaht and Gorsh had stayed inside the cave, he hoped they realised that he did not intend to leave them their. If Jevaf is smart she would now be able to bluff about 'shorty' and 'orc-face' staying to protect her and himself going to summon the town guard or a large, and imaginary, force of mercenaries.

It was a shame that Gorsh had taken offence at the name he had just been called but he knew to protect their real identities as well as portraying a 'fearsome' group of fighters, even a skilled halfling is not to be trifled with.

He turned to the other two, Gamiates and Grakh,
"Sorrry for acting leaderr, I know I'm not but you two didn't sseak up. The theft dossen't know you two arre herre and we do not know how many he hass, I know you disslike thiss Grakh but we sshould let Jevaf have a chance. At leasst we should prepairr betterr forr battle."

He then took his quiver from his back and drew out two short spears, a number of javelins, a shortbow and 10 arrows with leather sashes tied round where the point should be.

I've exited the cave and hopefully made out that there are two less then there are in our group.

I hope your drow is smart enough to bluff her way through this, or if not fast enough to escape

Drassarr had thrown his lot in with this plan, now it was time to get the other on board as well, both Grakh and Gamiates had kept quiet so far, was that because of uncertainty or refusal to play along, he passionately hoped it was the first.

He did a quick, obvious and uncertain scan of where the voice came from and returned his gaze to Jevaf,
"Ass you wissh Misstrresss."
and he turned and walked, still faster then any human but at his norm, if their is one, towards the others, without stopping he beckoned them to follow him and said this
"Come on shorty, orc-face, the misstrresss wantss uss ou' ta herre."
He wanted the rest to follow him and to make conversation as to cover the footsteps of two more people then he wanted to make out to be, on the hunt or on a raid you aways try to conceal your numbers.

When outside the cave he turned to the rest of the group with a 'what now' kind of expression on his face and whispered the obvious thing
"We should be ready if Jevaf needs us."

You just tell them to hand over the painting and your'll leave the money, , that'll never work.

We need to lure them out of the cave, change the status quo a bit, make them fight on our grounds so to speak.

This fella isn't stupid but if we give him say, a token payment, a small amount of the gold now, the 'rest' after we get the picture then when we have the pic we can lead him outside into something like an ambush or just do a runner.

I'll back you up, both of you

It dose fit though, a drow leading our motley crew, or it would if we/you were evil.

If you need a suggestion then a good idea would be to insist on having one person stay with you for protection, some one equally good with swords and bows and with a whole quiver of useful weapons. Not saying any names

Sorry, I deserve a whole lot of smites for that.

Drassarr heard the voice coming from the shadows and heard the voice from behind him and decided to play along, he gently took the bow string back to it's resting position so that he could not shoot it and pointed it towards the ground but still holding the bow and arrow in his left hand he stepped out of the shadows towards the dark elf.
"Misstrress" he said inquisitively is a meek sort of voice, he hopped he could pass it off "I agree with him, what would you have uss do?"

Quilia, getting the advantage, releases a spray of shots knocking down all but one of the opposing droids, this last droid is quickly dispatched by a quick jolt from Kate's electroshock probe. This kind of action would probably seem like cowardice to a sentient as well as being, dare I say it, a kick in the back.

With all the droids dispatched and the alarm bells still ringing it's safe to assume that the area is secure, or at least will be if Kate puts a lockdown on the doors, and as so the group can, if they want, start loading concussion missiles into the ship they battled, and fell, to win. It might be a good idea to get Lelain on her feet and into the ship first though.

The man you saw take Sep answers the door with little surprise on his face, he looked the mercenary up and down whilst he spoke.
"I have no need for anyone in your trade, but a friend of mine might. Please come in and I'll introduce you."
You are lead into a large lounge with a fire roaring in one of the long walls, Sep is sitting on a comfy leather chair and has been provided with a strong drink.

(Is this worth continuing, how many of you are still interested in this game?)

Drassarr acknowledges Jevaf's nod and follows her into the cave, as he moves he reaches into his quiver and draws out a short bow and and arrow, he then looks at it and mutters something in his own tongue. He puts the bow back and draws another, this is obviously the correct one as he advances slowly along the opposite side as Jevaf keeping equal with her, blending in with the shadows and ready to shoot anything that might pose an immediate threat to Jevaf of himself. He hopes the others get sorted and follow, but stay a distance behind so not to compromise their cover.

He could no longer talk as silence was key, maybe he should invest in something that granted him telepathy.

(Taking 10's on move silent and hide checks. Also taking 10's on spot and listen check)

Drassarr was very glad that the half-orc agreed to his, how these short tempered and stupid creatures survived long enough to learn to speak is beyond him but with all his prejudice against them the stupid head-strong things were needed, if only to draw enemy arrows.

A bit of this must have come out as he let a cruel smile just touch his lips when he next spoke about the evil creatures below, they shall be Grakh. He had seen people fight with Grakh's type of shield before, he thought it stupid to sacrifice manoeuvrability and face the enemy face on when their flank is soo inviting.

"Let'ss get thisss show sstarted then, it'ss tirring sstanding. In the worrdss of my 'good' frriend Grrrakh 'the evil crreaturress below, they sshall be vanquisshed'" he said takeing off the climbing gear and placing it into a backpack he also purchased.

Drassarr watched the others ascent carefully, they made quick work of it once the got started but allowed himself a few purring chuckles at Gorsh but he had no hopes to manage the climb any better. As it worked out he managed the climb easily, even with all his equipment over his back, he was sure that if he didn't have that special elven quiver he wouldn't have even made it half way.

In half the time it took the others to get up he was on the cliff top and looking into the cave, he was considering roughly the same things as Grakh but with a few differences.
'If we all sneak in then if one of us is found then all of us are, but storming it would be madness maybe if...'
But then he remembered Grakh's precious shield and started voicing his thoughts.
"Do you have your towerr sshield with you Grrakh?" He said looking hopefully at Grakh's backpack "becauss me and Jevaf could go in hiding and you with the others could go with you. That way they now theirr being confrronted and we have ssurprrise."

Subject: Five droids, but only 4 are hostile, the other's Kate

The droids, proving their previous shots to be flukes, all turn to face Quilia and shoot. Only one of them hits and again its a glancing shot, this time to the leg. (Take 6 damage)

Quilia fires back on the droids pulling the trigger as fast as she can, completely throwing aside all accuracy. Luckily both connect with different droids, the first and nearest to her hiding place is deactivated by the shot (knocked out in organic terms) and the second to be hit, not the next in the line but the one after that, is hit on the arm causing it's motors to fail and to drop the gun, it can still walk but can't shoot and that's the important thing.

The thing with droids is that they don't value life, most of them, I don't know about Kate, and at this point if they were organics they would retreat, but seeing as their just metal and circuits then they keep on the attack.

That is laughable, even though my character has no ranks in climb he still beats every one's climbing speed, what the hell.

Actually, you might want to edit it because I did elect to take 20's and to follow so I should be the last up regardless.

Topic: The Inconceivable Crusaders
Subject: Drassarr

This morning Drassarr had felt in a kind mood, he did not know why but he felt like going out of his way to help the rest of the group help these humans, as a result he got himself this task to do. Before setting off he was dismayed because he couldn't take Katarin his horse because of a cliff, Katarin wasn't just a horse, she was his companion and had been for a long time but this time she had to stay back. He payed for a climbers kit with 8 silvery platinum coins and gave the sum demanded to the stables before taking a waterskin and his tent from Katarin's saddle bag and then set off.

When he saw the group he was worried at the presence of 2 characters, two half-orcs, he did not like orcs. And one of the a RED dragon sharman, his tribe had a dragon sharman and so he recognized one when he saw one, but why a red dragon, their evil!

Having already got over his inhibitions he traveled with the group, running ahead a distance and then slowing to slower then even the dwarf letting them catch up then flitting ahead again, he knew the other races found this annoying but he couldn't simply keep a pace. Whenever his tribe moved it was like this but an a scraggy group with people running and walking at the same time. Something he did try was this not-talking idea, it was again as foreign to him as keeping a pace, he tried this for a wile but it was boring, he knew some the other to be interested in him and so he slowed to the dwarf's pace to talk to him. Speaking in dwarven he started to talk.

"Thank the spirritss it'ss drry." This mere sentence was almost be uncomprehendable in common but he hoped it would be OK in dwarven. "I can not sstand the rrain, it getss my furr matted and heavy."

His voice was soft and feline as, he pured slightly on the R's and hissed less on the S's but it was still noticeable, although not melodic the sound of his voice was pleasant, in the same way the puring of a cat is a nice sound to hear.

Remaining one of the few not trained in climbing he hoped that his newly purchased kit would help him, he would not be able to use the boots but he hoped to ask Gorsh for some help picking is route.

When he got to the foot of the cliff he hung back and watched the others make their way up so he could pick the best route, even though he was the fastest walker it was him they were all waiting for at the top. It was slow work and he hated every second of it.
