The weapon 'War Fan' comes from the 'Arms And Equipment Guide'. It is specified in chapter 1.

"This weapon appears to the untrained eye as nothing more than a beautiful lady's fan. In fact, the veins are crafted from steel and the tips are needle-sharp."

This weapon is a slashing weapon and small size. It dose 1d6 damage and a x3 critical, it also weighs 3lbs.

It is usable with the 'Weapon Finesse' feat/class skill. Also when first entering melee using this weapon is you succeed on a Bluff vs Sense Motive check you gain a +4 bonus to your first attack.

"The call to arms went right around camp." I say in response rather indignantly, but my tone changes swiftly to a politely inquisitive one with "Any way how can you sleep for so long? Us elves only need 4 hours meditation a night and yet humans need 8 and still you took longer. How is it that someone can spend so long of the already brief day asleep."

I then glance around, looking at the campsite, and say "Any way, now your up you can help pack up camp, were expecting reinforcements and when they are here were moving on into the woods. But first eat something, it'll be a long march."

I must say that it is a good game and a good play so if your interested in joining Holly then send your character to DDJ.

Please remember that if you play an existing character you will need to read up on whats happened.

Subject: Can't help it either

One of my friends always played his 'generic' dwarven fighter.

Worst thing is he always gets the characters the same feats(3ed edition), skills/non-weapon profs and the same weapons and armor.

That is until I killed every reincarnation of him in all the games I DM/GM and play in, I was feed up with that character so much I actually did hunt down and kill of every reincarnation.

Sorry but if we can't find any more players to join in then I think we will have to give up this adventure.

Don't get me wrong, I like your DMing and I think this is a great game but it needs more players.

Another option instead of trying to get people to play the existing characters is to have people to create new characters and say that they're some of the reinforcements.

Topic: What’s Your Favourite Edition?
Subject: 3ED

My favorite edition is 3ed.

I can't stand the started packs or board games at all,
but recently I've met a guy who plays 2nd so I confess
that my 3ed edition games are highly, er, altered with 2nd edition stuff.

Actually its a funny story how I met this guy, and even funner how I found out about D&D altogether...

I go and tell Kelen and James if they didn't know, explaining about how John has to follow the orders and how he's as displeased with them as we are.
Then I grudgingly pack up my stuff and help pack up camp muttering about how the general should show his face on the front line so he can know what it's like.

"Do you think that's wise sir." Holly interrupts indignantly.
"We have just been attacked, as you can see, and it would be best if we rested for a night to gather our strength. That is unless the prisoner can tell us of any danger that we are currently threatened with." she says looking at the captured archer.
"We might all be soldiers but we can not be atacked and not have time to rest such as beasts of burden. And I would not even force a beast of burden like this."

"Don't give me that look James, I know, it is the 5th time I've healed someone and they've 'fallen in love' with me. He'll get over his emotions soon." I say in response to James raised eyebrow.

I check the bodies for anything suspicious then when the the bodies are being burnt I say a prayer for the dead. Perform the lasts rights.
It's important to honer the dead whether they be our enemies or friends.

I look after Kelan in a curious way and then I turn to (whoever's in charge) and say
"What shall we do with the bodies?"
Then I go and check whats on the archers bodies, there might be some clues to who sent them and why.

I take to looking around of soldiers that are badly hurt (I define badly hurt as the loss of half their hit points) and i only want to use up one more of my 1st level spells (Cure Light Wounds) spells so its first come only served.

"Would of been nice to have someone to 'interview' about the raid but that would mean prolonging their suffering so perhaps its for the best" I say addressing Kelen. "I mean it would be nice to know but its against my principals to unnecessary hurt other people."

I also think that Kelen is a particular violent man and that he could jeopardise his safety and that he will need protecting against himself, his poor decisions and big mouth.

I go over to Kelen and cast Cure Light Wounds saying "That will show him not to charge blindly." and once he comes round I ask "You feeling better?" and direct my sword to chase after the lone archer, if he's still alive and if he isn't then I send it after the closed swords man.

I draw my sword, put away my crossbow and cast spiritual weapon and send the sword after the axe man.

As I draw my weapon I say "Idiot," and in an under tone "running in like that. He'll get himself and us all killed." Once I've cast spiritual weapon I add "that should help him."

All this time I'm thinking whether this is a large scouting party or just a raid and wondering why it wasn't conducted in the middle of the night.
