I like to make my players think but these people won't even get 10X10 to make 100.
Use a combination of both suggestions already, give them an reason to behave and a punishment if they don't.

Subject: What I do
I use to have players like that, first I asked them to stop, then I told them to stop then I started deducting experience from all there kills ect, it was mainly combat based, and that go the message through to stop correcting me.
Remember that the GM is all powerful in his/her own game but there must still be a reason for doing something.

Could I use the Ninja class out of 'Complete Adventurer' or the Raptoran race out of 'Races of the Wild'.
I'm in but I need to know so that I can pick my character.
PS Out of the list I only play in one of them, runelords and the related threads, as the rest are dead, dieing or on hold.

Subject: Conversationalist or nosy Parker?
"Greetings Aldern, It is a pleasure to meet you again and thank you for your kindness in the inn. As you can see I have reconsidered your offer and decided to join you on your hunt so long as a minimal is wasted."
Selaro says as she sees Aldern and once she has clambered into the caravan she continued the conversation and answered his questions unless they concerned her family at which she would sightly change the subject.
"What brought you to Sandpoint originally? I have always believed this place to be a quiet port town with little importance with outsiders, excepting tradesmen, and I assume you did not come to be set upon by goblins during the festival. Actually, that question goes for all of you that weren't born in the city as I am interested to know all your stories. Myself I came here from Ashen Moor near two years ago to escape from my past."
As she says that last word though you sense that she is not being truthful with you but at the same time it is a truth, sort of a half lie. And if anyone pushes the subject of why she left she, again sightly changes the subject. You also notice that she has a new gleaming scimitar at her side, quite different from the one she had yesterday, with serrated edges.

Once Selaro had drunk her full of wine she continued any conversation with who ever was left then went to her room in The White Deer, after locking the door and windows firmly and storing her stuff away in a cupboard/cabinet, undressed and went to bed with the prospect of spending the next day riding in a forest to the south east and practicing with her new scimitar.
The next day she proceeds towards the Inn after donning her armour, grabbing her scimitar, grabbing her backpack full of her other stuff and eating breakfast. She also gives notice to the Innkeeper that she might be gone for a few days but to keep her room for her.
If this was going to be the hunt of their lives then she might as well be prepared for any situation.

Halfway through a sip of wine and completely discordant with the rest of whatever conversation was going on Selaro announced to the group
"Maybe I was too dismissive of going on a hunt. I mean I don't have a bow or crossbow but if the meat was properly used and none was waisted then it wouldn't be an unnecessary kill. Yes I will join you tomorrow on the hunt if only for company."
And then she continued with whatever the current conversation was and sipping the wine in her glass thinking that it might be fun go riding in the woods with some new companions.
After a wile she decided to go and great the female elf in the corner.

After Selaro's trip to the Jeweler and Das Korvat, and a little detour to collect some money (50gp) and drop off her remaining ruby, she returned to the Rusty Dragon to find a small bag on the table and Taden missing. Upon sitting down after getting a drink of Ale (4cp) she addressed Myra and asked
"Where has Tanden and our host missing, I hope I did not annoy him so that he has left us to buy our own drinks."
she says jokily, reaches out to examine the bag and its contents, and continued
"I shall buy us all drinks. So is it wine all around?"
And with that she stands up, goes to the bar and buys a bottle of wine and a gallon of ale (10gp, 2sp) then brings them back to the table and explains that the ale is for good measure.
HAPPY DRINKING
PS What is left over from my buy, I don't sell the Emerald I just give it to him so I'm just asking what I get left over from selling my scimitar to him.
I also bring mugs and glasses.
