Cursing his luck Ghalan stared at the unmoving door. He was a man of many skills but bypassing security was not one of his best. Sometimes the best option when faced with an obstacle was to simply avoid it. Ghalan picked up his things and moved a few doors down to the temp agency. Should be a little easier to get into a temp agency. Nothing worth stealing in there so they should hav eminimal security. Upon arrival he checked the door to the agency and hoped for an easier time.

"Aye captain. I'll get to work on a plan and see to the punishment we discussed. I beg your leave." Goncalvo left the cabin and returned to his own. There he took out his notes, charts and compass. After diligent study he determines that Montserrat would be a fine place. It offered good hunting and several other island nearby. Ships of various flags could be found giving the Captain her choice of attacking at will or picking her targets along national lines. Next he plotted the winds, shoals, and distances to determine a course to the island. He took into account the rumors of where warships tended to patrol and avoided those as best he could. The final course was not the most direct but it was the one most likely to ensure safe travel as well as the chance to encounter a merchant ship en route.
With that finished he set out to arrange the punishment for the loose lipped sailor. Such was not his favorite job but he knew the importance of information shared and information guarded.

Dice gods can be fickle indeed Played a table top game once where a ranger had to make saving throws. He had to roll anything but a 1 the first save to find a trap; he rolled a 1. Gm said, ok you roll again to save against triggering the trap and again need anything but a 1. He of course rolled a 1. My cleric then cast Alter reality so he that turn was replayed. He simply had to not roll two more consecutive 1's. To this day we are not sure where the dice landed when he threw them over the backyard fence after rolling two ore 1's.

The Captain's fury was as evident as her frustration after telling her of how he heard of the situation. She fired off questions at him and he thought for a moment. "How would I handle it? That is an interesting question. The crewman first if I may. A man with no tongue finds it difficult to wag one. That may be a bit harsh for he did only reveal it to a member of the crew and a senior one at that so perhaps that is a bit harsh. Five good lashings should remind everyone that silence is oft best. As for your sister, that is a conundrum. You cannot allow her to go around killing government officials or soldiers no matter how much they deserve it. But, she is your second and a public punishment might undermine her authority. Then again it might show you play no favorites." Goncalvo thought for a bit and then added with a sly smile "A good spanking perhaps?"

For a few moments I thought I might have to stay too long in too fine an inn but at the last moment my gentlemanly charm seemed to let me down and a most attractive young woman chose to turn her back on me. But I was able to gather some interesting information on tides, currents and wind patterns. Things you must find terribly boring but to one such as me it is a treasure." Goncalvo took a moment and then continued, "I have heard there was some excitement in town of a sort that may not further our acceptance in this port. Should I make ready a plan for an expeditious departure?" As he waited for an answer he could not help but wonder if the lass on the dock or the Captain herself would be the most entertaining companion.

Goncalvo stepped into the launch. "aye, I am ready to return to the ship". He was just about seated when he heard "killed a soldier". "What, who killed a soldier? Goncalvo knew this was no good news. "Hellfire did, and a city official as well." came the reply. Oh, this is bad news for us. Very hard to do business in a port if you make enemies of the local government. Then again what else should I expect from a boatload of pirates." Pull hard for the ship, I must give my news to the captain and see if she wants to ready sails in case we need to leave quickly."

Goncalvo laughed to himself as the woman vented her fury. It seemed she was happy to remain in her current situation. 'Can't say I didn't try to improve her lot.' Resigning himself to another night alone he returned to the longboat for a return ride to the ship. There he would report what he had learned to the captain.

Goncalvo is enjoying the attention lavished upon him by the woman. There was no doubt that she was well versed in certain "skills". Despite her ministrations, he was able to catch a glimpse of the ones who had lurked in the alley running to get ahead of them, obviously set on arriving at the inn before the newly acquainted couple. Reaching down he removed a shoe and made a show of removing a stone but in fact he simply wanted to give the others a larger head start. Replacing his shoe he placed his hand on the lady's arm and steered her in the direction of the launch. "Come quickly, I have no desire to meet those men and can provide a safe shelter for you if you wish. Move quickly if you agree or we part ways now."

Goncalvo holds the young woman in his arms and his heart races as he thinks of the games they could play. She was likely a skilled player. Lifting her back to her feet he took a moment to glance down the alley. Speaking loudly enough to ensure he was overheard but not so loud as to be obviously trying to do so he replied. "Let us be on our way then lass. The Rampart Lion is a bit of a trip but certainly one of the finest establishments in the city. There will shall meet my wife and begin our games."
OOC: I took the liberty of making up a name of an inn feel free to change if needed. Goncalvo plans to take a circuitous route and lose any followers and then head to the dock and the launch boat

Goncalvo was surprised when the woman extended her hand and agreed to his suggestion. But, he also notice her obvious look over her shoulder into the alley. It was obvious that something was in there. Her inquiry into the name of the inn might have been to allow a companion to overhear and prepare. Pulling her close, Goncalvo whispered into her ear. "Time to end the act lass. Who is it that lurks in the alley and makes you so nervous?"
