Hornet was glad when his job with the caravan was finished.  He wasn't really cut out for guard duty.  If he hadn't run afoul of the local thieves guild he wouldn't have had to take the job in the first place.  How was he supposed to know the trader he swindled out of a large bag of coins with the help of weighted dice was related to the guild leader?  At least he had been lucky enough to escape with half of the coins.  It seemed that the guildmaster was more inpressed with the offer to split the gold then he was with the idea of helping his relative.

   In the new town talk of goblin raids gave the small group thoughts of glory and they set out to investigate.  So far they had little luck.  But tomorrow was another day and hopefully it would bring better fortune,  

  Ghalan sat next to Charlie.  "If you get a chance, can you see if you can find me some rounds for my weapons and a few for this grenade launcher Casino loaned me?  I don't think your neighbors would take kindly to me wandering around looking for them myself."

  With the call to Vegas complete it seemed that it was indeed their missing team member that made the call and that he was trapped in a corp compound.  Perhaps the very corp whose sec team faced Ghalan in the parking garage.  Sneaking into a corp compound, finding Vegas and sneaking back out would take some real skills and a lot of luck.  All seemed set when once again things fell apart.  Bloodbank anounced he would no longer remain a part of the team.  Looking back it was not a huge surprise as he often voiced concerns about the way the team operated.  Charlie nixed the idea of two small teams going after Vegas and to the meet by pointing out anything other than an individual meeting by Casino would be a loss of face.  Now it seemed they would be getting a couple new team members as well.  It was looking like an interesting couple hours lay ahead.  In a completely unexpected gesture, Casino offered Ghalan the use of his grenade launcher for the rescue attempt.  "I know you are torn about not being able to go after Vegas yourself.  Hopefully we won't need forepower to spring him but it never hurts to be prepared.  Don't worry, I return this to you along with Vegas."   

Was thinking along the same lines.  Vegas pickup seems way too easy.  

   Ghalan found a seat in a corner and sat.  With no need to sleep or eat, he would watch over the others.  Charlie brought htem to Chinatown but it seemed his agreement with the locals was a bit tenuous.  No way to tell how they would greet his new houseguests,  The phonecall was interesting.  Perhaps that group could help them find Vegas or the owner of the sec team that was hunting them.  Or it was possibel it was a trap.  Of course there was only one way to find out and that was to agree to the meet.  All that was left was to see who Casino would tap to accompany him.    

Charlie might choose to wait until after the meet to tell Casino so Casino doesn't blow off the meet.  Or to keep the team focused.  That is a player choice how they play their character.  But telling other players "if you don't do what I want my character is going to cause party drama" is what we were trying to avoid.  

When players post how they are going to react negatively if others do not do what they want it makes the game less fun.  Thought we were supposed to be moving forward without interparty drama.

"Seems Casino should go as he is the one owed the favor. Charlie is our smooth talker so he might be able to keep things smooth and maybe get us the best deal. As for the third it depends on what we want to do. If you take Blossum she could have an easy time with any network info they have to offer.  If you want a show of strength then I can go. Either way is fine with me."

Just thining Casino might be a bit irational due to his desire to find Vegas at all costs to be in leadership.  

"I got this, meet you at the van."  Ghalan turned and walked back into the bar and over to the table where the rest of the group were gathered.  "Blossum is in the van, grab your gear and lets go.  We'll figure out where we are going once we leave.  No more bickering, no more fighting; start acting like professionals.  If you aren't there in three minutes we leave without you."  Not waiting for discussion Ghalan turned and left, headed ot the van. 

Back at the van he asked Blossum, "Did you ever get a solid ID on that sec team I had a run in with?  Maybe we can find another group that hates them enough to help us eliminate them." 

Score one for the emotionless sniper's persuasion.  I mean , maybe it was him but who knows. 

Please make the rolls for me to persuade Blossum to stay.  If it fails can I use all my CC points to change her mind?  If the outcome is that Blossum does leave then I will roll a new character and if she stays I will continue with Ghalan.  

I am still in as a player but would like to see more teamwork even if it means characters have a change of personality.  If I need to I can do a new character with some help.  

  Ghalan watched the events at the table unfold.  It seemed that emotions were runnning high between mebers of the group.  At least he thought they were as he never really felt them.  HIs assumptions were confirmed when Blossum said her piece.  She had a point, the group was fractured and would likely not survive if the infighting continued.  He was shocked when she actually threw the phones on the table and walked out.  Without her help the group would be running blind.  Ghalan stood and walked out the door after her without a word to anyone at the table.

     "Blossum, can I have a moment?  Are you sure you are done with this?  Without your help Vegas has no chance.  Those testosterone filled meatbags are gonna run off and get themselves and probably a few others killed trying to sort out the Alpha position while they are looking for Vegas.  I know you probably never thought I'd be the voice of reason or a peacemaker but right now we are at a crossroads.  We can try to save Vegas ourselves, walk away and go on to other things or turn around, defuse the testoserone bomb and get them pointed in the right direction. If you are out, then I am out as well. " 

I believe you can "unassign" the character from you in the campaign and then she can pick up it up.

Ghalan took in the scene at the bar.  Possible escape routes, areas that could be defended if necessary and anyone who looked to be more than just a patron.  There was no point in placing an order so he refrained.  Planning was not his particular area of expertise and he really has no clue who took their missing friend.  For the moment he simply watched in silence; ready to act if needed.

Party could certainly use a second fighter of some form maybe even a paladin to get a second healer type as well but anything should work so choose a character you will enjoy playing.  

My character is set on AD&D Beyond so just waiting for a start at this point.  If it is OK I can post a little background as to how Hornet came to be in the town.  

Just have to watch if you use AD&D beyond for characters but add stuff outside that program like subclasses as it will not be reflected on thw character or rolls.  That was the reason I suggested we all use the same basic rules found there.  Makes it easier for the DM to keep track of everythign and make the rolls.  I will probablt just use what is there and drop assasin from my character cause it will be easier

Thanks will look at those links.  Tann and the rest of us players can always help you play your character but that doesn't mean the characters have to know each other.  But if you think you think the characters have to be friends for it to work I can go with that. 

Couple things I have have noticed from our character creations so far.

1.  Where do we find talent trees?

2.  For fairness we all need to use only those references open to all of us for character creation and not use stuff granted by other campaigns.  Agree?

3.  Under same idea of fair play we all need to be individuals coming together not some new folks and some long time companions.  Pre-established relationships between characters disturb the play balance.

Just thoughts.  Open to discussion or DM guidance of course. 

Did you set your character to public?  Can't see your sheet just that you are there

The additional paths are only avaialble if you upgrade to a subscription on the site.  What spells are missing?  There is a PHB on the site so they shoudl all be there.  Spells out of expansions may not be.  

Hornet is ready on AD&D beyond.  Everyone should be able to see it once they join the campaign.  

If players set their characters as "public" on AD&D beyond the rest of the players in a campaign can see their sheet.  We found that was helpful as it allowed players to help each other by offering advice on how a character might act or what they could do that was most helpful.  

Not sure.  I think they are purchase things you can then share.  The other group I was in one guy had bought the expansion books and shared them.  Can always go with the basic stuff for now.
