Unless I am missing something it seems that every action we take results in a clone dead or injured.  Is that just part of how the game runs or are we just doing a really bad job of role play / judgment?  New to this system so trying to get a feel for how it goes.

After cutting his way through the fencing and making his way to the next floor, Ghlahn found himself next to a 2034 American Motors Nighthawk Coupe in the corner spot.  It looked like a good place to watch and wait.  He stuffed his bag under the car and wiggled in next to it.  He was careful to leave room for the barrel of his rifle to remain under the car as well.  From his position he could use the scope to keep an eye on the crowd below.

Subject:

The Inn certainly is a bit shabby compared to its former glory but it is still standing.  I remember always seeing chat full although i never really entered much.  There were many more games running and as you said there seemed to be open recruiting all the time.  Now the recruiting is sporadic at best, new games are few and far between and players looking for games have a hard time finding one.  Not sure if the lack of players caused the drop in games or the lack of games led to fewer players  As for me, I have been here for about 10 years I believe (had to make up a new log-in or two along the way from crash and or forgetting my info).  Until the ale stops flowing I will remain.  Many thanks to the keepers of the inn for continuing to provide a place to game.

As requested Brighte will lift his fellow clone so as to avoid a look at the power.  He hands and knees.  'climb on, just watch where you step"

Ghlahn made his way upwards, the climb was not difficult but after 4 stories he came to an impase.  The chain link fence nearly met the floor of the next level and there was no way to wiggle through. It looked like some cuttign was in order as he needed access to the net level for a good lookout position.  With no other option other than retreat, he began to cut the wire just enough to make a hole to squeeze his way through.

Brighte watched as the dead clone was removed and now understood why culture teams were so named.  The new arrival gave greetings straight out of the party handbook.  There was no trade of individual thought in this one.  All seemed to be going fairly smoothly until the lights went out.  It seemed that friend Computer was into conserving energy again, something not done since the 70s.  "If we all get in a line behind the team leader and hold onto the clone in front of us we can at least stay together as we move blindly forward.  Always forward."

Brighte did as Slipp asked and got ready to be made "clean".   He sort of wondered about the skills of a medic on "vitamins" but right now his hip hurt enough that he was willing to give it a try.  Beside, there didn't seem to be much of any of choice at the moment.  He hummed a little song in his head "Your not fully clean until you're Slipp fully clean"  He was not sure where that tune came from but it was catchy.

Brighte had to stiffle a laugh.  Artie and his over the top loyalty was past annoying and into the realm of hilarious.  Maybe when Artie was done his song he would take a request for "another clone bites the dust"

The "insufficient poster" has posted.  Where is everyone else?  Performing treason perhaps.  😎

Brighte crawled out of the room and was relieved to be out of range of the auto-defense canon.  From out of nowhere, a stray red laser blast hit him in the rear.  Normally that would not be an issue as he had his red armor but apparently a traitor had made his and left an unfinished area in a rather inconvenient area.  "Well that really chaps my ass! he yelled in response to the pain.  Then he wondered if perhaps his armor was in facts chaps as that would explain the uncovered rear.  Was his ass really chapped or did the laser simply fry it?  Either way he could tell he need medical attention.

Once the others were all on the relatively safe side of the door he confronted Steam.  "Looks like the red buton was not correct afterall.  Maybe a little less drawing of weapons on team-mates and lectures on treason and a little more thought might have saved my ass, your hand and Bloz's life.  Seems the computer is asking us to do things a little outside the normal blind faith realm. Now we need to find medical attention.  Don't you agree?"

Moving close to Slipp he thanks him for risking pushing the yellow button.  As the morale officer he felt he shoudl say something about their fallen team-mate.  "Alas poor Bloz I new ye not well.  You can be proud in death for it was your work in R&D that likely allowed the laser to function with such precision.  Yours was a job well done and demonstrated the greatness of Friend Computer.  May the rest of us lead lives of such unselfish service."  He hoped that might raise spirits just a bit while they waited for the replacement clone.

Brighte watched as the leader pushed the red button and was in turn vaporized by the newly activated defense cannon.  So much for red being the right choice.  Figuring the cannon targeted moment he drops to a prone position and stays very still.

"I knew he was a spy and had to get rid of him.  But if we hurt him it might have compromised our mission.  Unfortunately I had to break that speaker to draw security to deal with him.  Now that the pain in my head from whatever he did is subsiding we can carry on.  Our faithful leader asked to get going so let's go.". Brighte was ready to go and see how he could make up to friend Computer for the small inconvenience he had caused.

Brighte feels the pop off the speaker loosening just a moment before the wailing of a klaxon begins.  He drops the spork and kicks it towards Dweeb.  "finally you showed up, that one is spy, right team" he says to the yellows and points at Dweeb  "he was snooping around us, claims he lost his team and then that alarm started sounding and a spork dropped on teh floor next to him. Probably trying to hurt friend Computer and blame it on new reds."

Ghalan watched as the crowd became increasingly aggitated and moved towards teh building next to the garage.  No way it was going to end peacefully.  Even the guard in the building seemed to understand that somethign bad was in the works and was scanning the crowd that was rapidly approaching the doors.  Surely he woudl call for backup soon if he had not already.  On the plus side, all this might keepanyone from watching the garage.  Taking a calculated risk, Ghalan made his way into the garage and climbed up to a spot he could keep an eye on teh crowd and maybe his companions.  Once in place he radioed the others and gave them an update on his position, the crowd and the name on the building.

Brighte was chosen as morale officer.  An interesting choice.  How did a soulless computer know what that even was?  He figured in this case it meant keeping everyone content enough to see the mission finished.  One thing he knew would boost moral, getting rid of Dweeb, so he set a plan in motion.

" Hey Artie, got a moment?  You are the last officer right?  Well friend Computer told us this is a secret mission just for our team and Dweeb, who is not a member of our team, heard it.  Might be a test.  I think you should blast him so he can't plan about what he heard.  If anyone asks I'll back you saying he was obviously a commie spy as no real close would lose his team."

Brighte looked under the table once more trying to find a way to remove or destroy the speaker.  It being there was of concern and might raise questions.
