Minion master would take a high level character. Followers are gained based on level and charisma and you could play those as minions. Low level characters might start off as a minion for a high level NPC master and progress to the point at which they move from minion to master.

Ochit watched the strange dark elf. She seemed to argue with herself. Perhaps she was not alone in her thoughts. The shaman of his tribe had told of those who heard voices. Ochit had never seen one for they were driven away as soon as they were discovered. When she offered her had and friendship, Ochit stepped back. "Work together but friend best not".

Subject: Ochit

Per the AD&D Wiki: Half-orcs are between six and seven feet tall (180-210 cm) and usually weigh between 180 and 250 pounds (80-110 kg). This makes them less bulky and more agile than pure-bred orcs, but still taller and stronger than most humans. Half-orcs have pale green skin, jutting jaws, prominent teeth and coarse body-hair.

I envisioned Ochit as about 6'8" and all of 250 pounds of toned muscle.

Ghlahn watched the others land and knew the risk. Taking a deep breath he jumped off the train. Knees together, he let his body go loose and rolled to his side. Hoping the maneuver worked as intended he rose and took stock of his condition before starting to run.

Ochit turned towards the strange looking creature as he heard voices in his head. "How speak no words?" Never had he encountered such a trick. "Together work?" Sizing up the stranger, Ochit saw they stood nearly equal in height but the other was not as bulky. Perhaps here was one who would understand how it felt to be very different. "Ochit" he said as he pointed to his chest.

The one known as Crowe spoke slowly and a bit louder. Ochit knew that it was a result of his own slow and broken speech. Others always assumed he was slow because it was difficult for him to make the sounds of the common language of the realms. He wondered how others would fair if they had to speak his language. "Yes. Work together." For now he was ok with others thinking he was slow.

The Templars first spoke of rewards then, as he had come to expect from all in authority, they spoke of retribution if they were not obeyed. He heard many such threats before. None of them bothered him for he was not likely to be in one place long enough to see the final outcome of the threats. Just as he was about to shrug and walk away, one of the others spoke about working together. This was interesting. Few indeed were those who would openly offer to work with his kind. Even his own tribe had refused him. "You work with I?" The question was spoken slowly and in a bit of broken speech. He found making the common language a bit taxing but he knew that his own language would never be understood here among these people. "Willing work. Call Ochit" He pointed to his chest as he spoke the name most often spoken by those who met him.

Ghlahn heard the voice and knew they had been caught even before the words finished. "Well, do we go quietly or not?" he whispered to his compatriots. How had the security been so alert? They were never that observant. Had someone else alerted them? If they had, they would regret it.

You could allow consecration of the defiled ground to give the same boost. But maybe it can be stored for later use as it soul not be instantaneous like the defilers.

Subject: Reduced gravity

Maybe instead of no gravity it has an area of reduced gravity like on the moon. Water, rocks and rooted items would not be effected because they all eventually settle back to the ground. Livestock and people would find walking difficult due to the effects of normal pushing motion causing them to "float" for a time before coming back down slowly. Flying creatures might be able to move faster than expected upwards for an attack but slower downwards as gravity doesn't aid their fall. Also, almost any flyer could essentially "hover" with minimal effort. Would allow for Tether salesmen, weight belt salesmen or other such.

You could combine that with a floating, upside down city that has exact opposite gravity with same issues. At the midpoint gravitational effects would cancel and there would be a dead zone that traps thing entering it without sufficient momentum to pass through.

I have found that late Sunday or early Monday works well for GM posts for the week. Players should post by noon on Sunday.

I will be playing "Ochit"; a half-orc barbarian. His real name is unpronouncable in most of the common languages but he took the name most people used upon first meeting him. He was not welcome in his orc tribe due to being "weak" and his human family sent him away as he was not "normal". He wanders now.

Trilogy is a 2ed AD&D based game. BUT, if you can role play the GM takes care of most of the other stuff. Longest running game on the Inn.

I am leaning towards a half-giant barbarian. But waiting to see the GMs "home brew" races before a final pick.

I am kind of leaning towards a totem barbarian (not sure race yet, have to see what is available). If I get the pdfs for the books I will generate a character this weekend.

What about a barbarian? Are they still a class in 5e? Thinking they might be good in a low magic world. Maybe a shaman if we need a healer of some form.

Subject: Good party

Almost always easier to run a good party. Evil parties tend to have infighting. I have played in an evil campaign and it was all lawful evil. They had to pledge not to kill each other. But we were free to find creative ways to "allow" misfortune to hit others. In the end it was really tough on the GM and it fizzled.

I am willing to play whatever is needed for the party.

Krog watched as the`wolves attacked the others. A few light hits were made by both but in the end the wolves and the gladiators were all still standing. Then he was forced to turn his attention to the wolf that was rapidly approaching him. With his heart beating faster than ever before, Krog closed his eyes and swung. He felt his axe bite and when he felt no pain and heard the crowd erupt in cheers he opened his eyes. Before where once stood a wolf there were now two half wolves. Brandishing his axe he let out a primal scream, chopped a leg from the fallen beast and brandished that as well. He knew luck had been on his side and that it could change at any time. Once more he turned his attention to the other fighters and the wolves.

OC: Let the dice decide his attack and defense once again.
