Good to know.  Usually passive checks are not as good as active ones so figured I'd ask cuase Hornet is bored and looking for anythign to capture his attention.  Looking forward to the update.

Can you roll a perception check for Hornet to see if he noticed the cat?  Not that he would know that it is anything other than a car but he might watch it cause he is a bit bored

  From his vantage point behind a clump of bushes, Hornet kept watch and listened as the others took turns questioning the goblins.  It took the usual form where both sides made threats but he knew in the end the one holding the knife always beats the one bound by rope.  

I'd leave the question.  Might get lucky with an answer

"Why have they started raiding recently?  Has something changed that forced them to raid?  Why the red hats?"

"Well, these two are bound.  Who speaks goblin and wants to question them?  Not that I would trust a word that spills from a goblin mouth.  I'll keep watch in case the one that got away brings friends."  Hornet loaded another bolt in his crossbow and once more slipped into cover to serve as overwatch for the others.  

Ghalan saw the age old ritual of the weak being targeted by the strong play out before his eyes.  It was the way of things but was it right?  Was his group any different?  He glanced at Fixer and saw in his eyes that he was torn a bit between lending aid and continuing their mission,  "If you give me a head's up when you spot an opening I can make sure at least one or two of them pay dearly for their choice as we make our getaway."

I figured the wounded one might not make it anyway so was gunna kill that one and keep the healthy ones. Unless you have another idea just let me know

   Once more Hornet's bolt found its mark and a goblin fell never to rise again.  Moments later most of the remaining golins dropped as well, snoring away.  One lone goblin appeared to have a bit of sense as it turned and fled.  Slinging his crossbow, Hornet dashed to the sleeping goblins on the road.  They needed a prisoner to question but not four.  Quickly he cut the throat of the wounded goblin and one of the others before binding the hands of the remaining two goblins.  "Kill the others, I have two here as prisoners" 

  Ghalan jumped into the van with Blossum and Fixer.  The trio was on their way to pick up the new recruits and then off to conduct surveilance on teh corp compound.  The trip should have been smooth but 15 minutes later the van crapped out and the three of them found themselves stranded on the side of the road.  "Seems the van wasn't in as good a shape as advertised.  Time to see if you can live up to you moniker Fixer.  Hopefully it is a simple matter.  If not it is gonna be a long walk."  Ghalan opened the back doors and took a seat where he could watch for any trouble while Fixer worked on the van.  

One of our less "fighter type" might want to bind the sleeping goblins hands,  

Ghalan is good with picking up the new folks.  Will use them to do some closer onservation of the corp compaund as they have no previous conection to us.  

Kill the ones not sleeping and maybe tie up one of the sleeping ones for questioning

   The Hornet watched the goblins continue down the path unaware that Death walked with them.  From his concealed position he tracked the trail goblin with his crossbow.  Just a bit closer before he would fire.  As the lead goblin passed a small alder tree Hornet let loose his bolt.  Straight and true it flew and sunk deep into the eye of the clueless goblin.  It's body slumped to the ground but the Hornet didn't bother to watch it fall.  Another bolt lept from his crossbow once more seeking the most distant goblin still in the fight.

OOC:  Assasinate gives advantage on the attack roll (but lack of surprise negates the critical hit part) and with advantage he can use Sneak Attack to deal extra 2d6 damage if he hits.  Bonus action of hide.

  Ghalan packed is sniper rifle into its carry bag and holstered his pistols before pulling on a long coat.  "I'm gonna take a look at that compound.  Not a close look as I don't want to have them recognise me as I am pretty sure they haven't forgotten but from an overlook so I can get an idea of who comes and goes by what gate at what time.  Maybe ID a supply or services vehicle we can hijack and use to get in.  I'll keep in touch by agent and let you know if I find anything or need assistance."  

"So Charlie, you are off to your meeting and Casino is off to his meeting.  How about the rest of us take a trip over to the area around the corp compound and do a bit of looking around?  Maybe get lucky and ID a way in.  If nothing else it gives us a chance to see the ground first hand."

If you put up a post letting everyone know your plan we can adjust our firing time.  Both of us just posted intention to fire at a certain point but that has not yet happened. 

OOC:  If the plan changes please assume Hornet agrees if you are ready to post he combat actions.

That would be a good plan however the party is all spread out and no way to relay the plan unless you are yelling it out hoping we hear it and the goblins don't

I believe max range on my crossbow is 320 ft.  So to get maximum number of shots before they can close to melee range but still have a good chance to hit them lets go with 200 ft for first shot.

  From behind his covered postion, Hornet watched the goblins approach.  Such nasty, vile creatures.  Their songs assulted his ears and as he focused on the ball like object they kicked before him he could swear it had hair.  Could they be kicking a head while laughing at the expense of its former owner?  He could think of no reason the goblins should be spared and he was certain a few of his companions felt the same.  Taking aim on the last goblin in line he sent a bolt on it way towards the creatures foul heart.                   

OOC: Using Assasinate feat gives him advantage and any hit is a critical.  Sneak attack gives him an extra 2d6 damage on a hit.  He will use bonus action of hide once he fires to remain out of sight.

"Hey Blossum, you have a moment?  I figure trying to fight our way in and out of that corp compound is not gonna happen. Any chance you can find us a sneaky or peaceful way in?  Maybe posing as a delivery or repair team?  They must have cameras that show who comes and goes.  Maybe we can have some of Charlie's friends make us uniforms that match and get in that way." 

Hornet woke to Steel telling him a group approached on the road.  Friend or foe was not known.  Grabbing his crossbow, the elf moved to find a place from which to cover the likely approach from behind cover.  Using his skills as a rouge, he slid into a position that would allow him to hide from sight and waited to see how the encounter unfolded.

Hornet could slip behind some of the rocks and provide arrow cover if the group wants it.

   Ghalan sat next to Fixer.  "You thinking about how to do the impossible?  Hard enough to break into a corp compound but then to get back out is double tough.  Seems we have to find a way to at least get in without drawing attention to ourselves to have any chance.  Think there is any chance we can get in posing as delivery or service folks?"
