"Well of course I don't have a ticket.  Already told you I was trying to get away from that root down there.  Since you all cleared it up I was just about to head out myself.  You sure we can't come to some understanding that has us all just walking away?  I'd love to give you credit for your time and effort if that helps."

Cor is indeed my character for Trilogy War.  He has been around a long time (since 2004 in real time).  He has died and been resurected numerous times, turned evil for a bit under the influence of a nasty spell (he was really good at the evil and killed a buch of the party before they figured it out) and is once again a champion for good.

To avoid confusion if you are reading the first parts of Trilogy I went by Mottle then so all the Mottle posts are mine.

Cor placed his armor on the dressing rack and his axe on the altar of Odin that occupied a central place along the back wall of Cor’s study.  As he turned, he caught sight of himself in the mirror and paused.  His waist was just a bit fuller than it had been in years past.  Corded muscled still rippled as he moved.  Scars too numerous to count crossed his body like a map of some ancient civilization.  He rubbed his shoulder and remembered the arthritis resulting from the mace that tore his arm from the socket during the battle of Kravern Peak.  The deep scar across his back was a reminder of his encounter with a black dragon.  He could not count the wounds sustained in battle but many of them served as reminders of both victory and defeat.  At least he was still able to take stock of his scars, too many of his fellow dwarves had fallen over the decades.  Cor shook his head to clear it of such thoughts.  Odin was not yet finished with him and so he still drew breath.  A knock on the door caused him to turn.  “Do you require assistance Master Cor?” came the voice of Eldrick, one of the new initiate clerics.  “Nay lad, I dinna need help just yet.  I wouldna refuse a plate of food if it is not too much trouble, I seem to have lost track of time and missed dinner again.”  In answer he heard “Of course not Master Cor, I will return shortly”.  A trip to the kitchen and back would take the lad nearly 30 minutes since he would have to argue with the cook as dinner hours were well past.  Cor moved to the fire and retrieved the pitcher of boiling water and added it to the water already in the bath.  Slowly he lowered himself into the warm water, closed his eyes and sent a silent prayer to Odin.

The night air crept slowly into the tower bringing with it a coldness that sought purchase in a person's bones.  In a chamber near the top of the tower a lone dwarf sat in silent study of lists.  Long lists of names of those petitioning for advancement as a servant of Odin and of those who sought to be initiates in his service.  "Tis cold enough ta chase a frost giant into his cave."  he muttered to himself as he raose to add another log to the fire burning valiently in the hearth.  For the moment it was losing its battle with the cold but a fresh supply of fuel would see it vanquish its nemesis in short time.  Cor watched the flames dance as he warmed his hands.  On most nights the flames were just falmes but on certain nights, like this night, they were more.  Figures appeared.  Faces of old friends who fell in battle mixed with those of enemies he killed.  It brought saddness and a profound sense of loss to the elder dwarf.  Slowly the flames changed and he beheld the face of Odin.  "All father, what brings you here?" the dwarf asked as he took a knee.  "Arise Cor, my faithful servant.  I come bringing news and call on you once more.  Trilogy once more falls under the influence of evil and people have turned from the ways of the old gods.  I come to charge you with once more leaving this place and traveling far and wide to root out the source of this evil and restore the faith that has been lost."   In moments the flames mixed an became noting more than a normal fire.  Cor rose and walked to his chests and trunks.  Slowly, reverantly he unpacked his armor and axe.  The Knight-Cleric of Odin would once more walk the realm.

If I remember correctly Olin said it is a result of the Inn being the target of spam attacks.  Multiple requests sent in a short time.  The protection software protests the site but the overwhelming number of login attempts shuts the site for "real" logins.

Cor is a rather unique character.  In fact he is the sole example of his class in all of Trilogy , a Knight-cleric of Odin.  Part war cleric, part paladin his purpose is to evaluate paladins that follow Odin.  Without his consent one cannot become a paladin of Odin nor advance in rank.  He can be a good matured dwarf find of his ale but is deadly serious about his devotion to Odin.  Quick witted and a bit sarcastic he is fond of banter during battle.

Glad to have you on board.  Just so you know there is no safely in Tril and characters die on a regular basis.  But we have an excellent health plan that includes raising from the dead with no co-pays.

Dragon-soul, don't be afraid of the game being intimidating.  Lots of experienced players here and we will help you.  As said above you basically have to role-play and explain what you want to do and Tann does the rolls and such behind the sceens and posts the results.  Q&A thread allows players to exchange player knowledge to help each other play thei characters better.  Hope to see you in the game.  Been playing Trilogy for over 10 years now and it is one of the best gmaes on the Inn.

As Steam grumbles and suggests team leader pull rank on the customer service clone, Brighte2 steps back a bit.  He is pretty sure such a confrontation will result in another laser blast.  Deciding that the last vaporized clone resulted in a small increase in morale, he egged on the nearly irate Steam.  "You tell em Steam.  Step up and give that clerk piece of your mind for not supporting our Friend Computer approved mission."

Aching feet, sure back and a headache was all Brighte2 had to show for nearly three hours of standing in line.  Frustrated would be a nice way to describe his mood.  Having finally arrived at the help window they were met by a most unhelpful clone.  Just because they didn't have a mission number he was turning them away.  Brighte2 was just about to launch into a long, biting speech about how they were working for friend Computer and not helping them would be treason and the unhelpful clone would be reported to Computer one of the other clones remembered that the jackobot knew the mission number.  Brighte stepped aside so the jackobot could approach the window.  He had no idea why friend Computer didn't trust then with the mission number.  Maybe in case they were caught they could not give away the plan.  Maybe because Computer figured most of them would have to be recycled several times during the mission and did not want to have to give out the mission number several times.

Ghalan cursed his luck.  Not only did the sec team find him but they appeared to be fairly competant.  He heard them call for him to give up but he didn't want to go down that road if he could avoid it.  "Well it seems we agree on one thing right off the bat, no one has to die here tonight.  I was just up here staying out of that mess down below.  The way that mob was acting there was no good outcome.  This seemed a good place to stay out of the way and watch what happened.  You all did a first rate job dispersing that crowd I must say.  As for coming with you and clearing things up, that is not gonna happen.  I have done nothing wrong you are correct about that.  How about you just head back down and I'll make my way home and we all wake up tomorrow.  I don't want a confrontation but believe me I can make life miserable for your wives and kids is you push me too far."

Ghalan hoped that if he could keep them talking the others might show up and save his butt.  If not, it was going to get ugly realy quick.

They had arrived at the PLC.  Greatfully, Brighte2 disembarked the hovercraft.  He hoped they would not be reboarding it any time in the near future.  From the look of the crowd it was likely his wish was answered.  Turning to the jack-o-bot , "Well, we made it.  Now what?"  Perhaps the jack-o-bot had some way to skip the lines.

With the swarm spell being less effective than anticipated, Midge was feeling a bit sorry for himself.  Once he entered the cabin and saw the amount of Carnage that occurred he was pretty sure it would have meant his death had he entered during the fight.  He helped check the woman and children as best he could.  When the man offered his coins, Midge peeled up.  "well we couldn't take all your money, half would be fine".  No reason the group should not profit a bit even if they would likely have added the family for free.

Looking around, Midge saw the regular zombies and then the word creature.  With the others describing the rape and the laughing he was sure this was no normal undead.  He had never heard of anything like that and the thought of it have him the creeps.  Undead were supposed to be slow, mindless creatures.  This one seemed sentient.  Carefully Midge took a closer look at the body so he could identify another one of the creatures is he ever saw one again.

The ride went just about as smoothly as Brighte2 expected.  That is to say it was horrible.  No seats or seatbelts me it difficult to remain inside the ride at all times.  When the inevitable happened and the was an accidental collision with a sweeper bot the unguarded fan blades that made Brighte2 nervous did an excellent job of mulching the unfortunate clone.  As they waited for a replacement clone he thought about how to raise morale.  "Since that went a bit less perfectly than could be hoped for, does anyone actually know how to drive one of these things?  Not that I expect it will result in a better outcome but just maybe it would result in less dead clones."

"Hey"   That one word told Ghalahn that his stealthy escape was foiled.  He had been spotted.  As he figured it there were three options.  First, try to bluf his way past the security team.  Of coursr it might be hard to explain his weapons cache.  Second was engage th team and hope there were not too many of them.  Or third, try to find an exit.  Option 1 was not feasible.  The second relied on pure luck.  So that left option 3.  Taking cover behind the nearest car he pulled his pistol and took aim at the closest sec team member.  Hopefully he could neutralize at least 2 of them before they even realized they relized what was happening.
