AD&D beyond is extremely useful.  Super easy to create and upkeep characters for players.  Our tabletop group used it every session.

Clerics make really good melee fighters.  Throw on some heavy armor and a good weapons and you can deal out alot of damage.  Clerical spells can enhance the entire parties ability to fight, weaken the enemy or inflict direct damage.  They are fun class to play as they are always useful.

Count me in.  I kind of like option 1.  I have not played a wizard in awhile.  Not alot of 5ed experience (I played a couple month tabletop as a thief).

I am open to a new game.  I could do 5th Edition but not super familiar with it.  Whatever the party needs I can play.

"Hole up in Rolling State territory?  Did I hear that right?  No offense but I don't think they would be too welcoming to me.  You would all be taking a risk just being associated with my kind. I might have a better shot bunking with that sec team.  But, if you can vouch for my safety I am willing to give it a try.  Low profile time for me if we do it."

Ghalan watched the handover.  It went as expected.  The package was delivered and the terms of the contract met; payment was now just a formality.  It had gone much better than expected.  No blood was spilled in a rather tense situation.  Then it changed.  As Rya took a bullet to the forehead, Ghalan's respect for the professionalism of the sec team evaporated.  There was no reason for the killing.  His own professionalism kept him from retaliating and starting a firefight that would end in many deaths.  He did however ingraine the face of the shooter in his memory.  If he came across the individual again he would take the opportunity to even the score.  CREE may not have many feelings but that did not mean they did not recognize craven acts designed for shock value and to make a statement.  The shooter had no regard for life and hoped to intimidate the team by a show of reckless violence.  He failed to make the intended impression on Ghalan.  For now he would live, unaware that he was a walking deadman.  Ghalan turned and walked by to the vehicle and climed in.  "That went better and worse than expected.  If I see that coward again he will be dealt with appropriately.  Now was not the time or place.  Perhaps we can move on to finding Vegas."

As Ghalan stood watching he hoped that they would indeed "put the exhange to bed" quickly before emotions got involved.  He was never really good at judging them but experience told him that on many occasions they turned a simple task into a complex one.  The next few moments would likely decide who lived or died and he was hoping that the entire team fellinto the later category.  As for the package, what happened to the boy and the lady were not his concern but he hoped Hairtec was smart enough to at least wait until the meet was over and the teams went their separate ways before doing anything harmful.

Ghlahn heard Blossum's warning.  A subtle move ofhis head allowed him to bring his advanced optics to bear on the location.  He was interested in what exactly was up there.

Ghalahn took in his surroundings; everything was just as he expected.  There was no real cover available, plenty of places to hide ovewatch teams and the sec team was packing serious heat.  As such he wasn't surprised that Hairtec did not change his demands.  It looked likethey wold be doing a sinple drop and waiting to get paid late.  He just hoped that professionalism won out in the end and the sec team simply left oncec they had the kid.

Fast talking and negotiations are great idea. In the end though we may have to do things their way to survive. Ghalan isn't willing to risk his life on this deal

Ghlahn hid an annoyed smile at Hairtech's words.  Why was it always "give us stuff now and we give you stuff later"?  If they give up the package they might or might not get paid later.  The buyer did appear to be a person of influence so it wasn't likely they didn't have the credits.  But then again, he also had the means to hire a well armed group and once the kid was out of the picture there wasn't much to stop the buyer from having this sec team save him some credits.  Of course that could ruin his reputation so there was at least that going for them.  Hopefully Charlie could talk them into a more suitable arrangement.  If not, then there really wasn't much choice but to do as they asked.  A shootout here might see him make it out alive if he got really lucky and didn't bother to even try to protect the team.  But, he knew he would do his best to get them out alive and that would likely end up badly.  For now he simply stood quietly and evaluated the sec team.

Perception check to see if the goons seemed nervous.  Not sure what check it would be but also looking to see where the sec team might take positions for a fight and where he himself could find cover.            Rolled a 3 and 9

Ghlahn is a bit surprised Luther want shim not Casino to join him for the meet itelf.  But only for amoment, he is more likely to remain calm.   Casino tended to be a bit impulsive.  "You got it, no weapons in the open.  Let's get this done.  If it goes to hell just run and don't let me pass you.  I've got your six."  The CREE walked confidently over the last 15 feet.  The presence of a sec team concerned him as he knew how outgunned they would be if it came to a fight.  Plus teh incident in th garage left a bad taste in his mouth.  He could only hope that fate would be a kind mistress.  He stopped just a step to the right and behind Luther and adopted a "couldn't care less" stance.

I deleted my post as I am totally confused as to where the group is at this point.  Are we at the drop, on the way to the drop or getting ready to leave for the drop?  Tann posted us as already there and him pulling his SMG and standing ready but Espalier posted he wants us to "stay put while he does the drop".  Not a fan of a single person making the drop and not a fan of going in and pulling out weapons while meeting a professional sec team.  One likely gets one person killed the other gets a bunch of people killed.  Need some clarity as to the current location and plan then I will make a new post.

As long as Ghalan walks out alive and gets paid he is ok with whatever plan.

I'd suggest we all go to the meet.  No overt aggressive moves; Tann might want to rethink holding a SMG "at the ready" as just having it shows it is there and anything more might ramp up the sec team.  We are sure to outgunned in a real fight so just want to let them know they won't get away scot free if they start something.  If folks stay in the van it makes our numbers look smaller and they are really not in any less danger.  Just thoughts.  Ghalahn will shadow Charlie and be his body shield if needed.

Sniping from inside the van would be difficult.  Ghalan is better off outside where he can manuever freely and work as a shield if needed.  My thought is that being upfront at the meet might be the best idea.   As for what happens if they execute the kid or the lady, Ghalan is not risking himself for either of them.

Brom also said those of us with HUD can tell the distances implying more than one of us are at the meet.

Not sure it would be smart ot have only one person at the drop.  If anything goes wrong they are pretty helpless even with an overwatch.

Well, the GM post had us all at the meet location so I figured that is where we were.  As such I posted that I got out of the vehicle and made a generic comment to Charlie.  Nothing really big about that and the other post was basically the same "I get out" post.  Unless we are free to change the DMs post that has us all at the dropoff there was no real planning to be done.  If it is OK to back post a plan then I am all for it.  I agree that Ghalan could provide overwatch but his presence might also be a bit of show of force at the site.

Sounds like the plan moving forward is to post ideas on the Q&A site then later do our "real" posts.
