On behalf of the entire Icelandic division (which I believe includes me and myself), I would like to welcome you to the Inn.

Behave and don't feed the Grugg

(Actually, you don't need to behave that much)

I got about 4 copies, and they all look good

I haven't read through them yet, since I have an exam in about 1 and a 1/2 hours (last one this semester, YEAH!) so I haven't got the time to read the newsletter completely.

I'll see if I have time after the exam, if I somehow can't buy the whole bunch of books I was going to celebrate the end of exams with

Several delightful turkish people come visiting and take up all the space in you home. Still, they are delightful.

I wish I pass the exam tomorrow.

That reminds me. There's a really cool webcomic about the world of Grimm. Not Alice or Oz, but worth looking at.

I will have to check this out. I am currently and hugely into Changeling: the Lost (White Wolf) and this sounds like something that might give me some inspirations.

I'll have a look at this when I have time. Thanks for pointing this out

Topic: Tome of Battle
Subject: well...

I have the book but I haven't been able to fully test the classes in any of my games. I once got to play a Battle-something (too lazy to get up and get my book) here at the Inn, for a short while, but I had to give up the maneauvers and stances, which was fine by me.

For that matter, I have never tried the maneauvers or the stances from the book, so I can't say one way or the other. Some people can just read the material and see a problem right then, while others need to test it in their games before forming an oppinion. I fit in the second group.

Subject: HEY!

What about us who live far from the shores of Americanese soil? Don't you think we'd like a letter too? Of course, our yule-lads have a bit different system where we get stuff in our shoes for thirteen nights in a row

Anyways, I think this idea is brilliant and I wish I could make use of it, but I don't send Santa mail and I have no kids of my own. Still, I do think a world-wide mailing should be in order, if only for the American kids who have moved to a different country.

Topic: What good is my education in England?
Subject: hmm

It was a thought, but after 17 years of school, I am ready for some break from it

Also, we are going to need some sort of income. The school my girlfriend is going to is expensive and if I have work she won't need to work at all with school. It is a tactical assessment.

Thank you, Vanadia, but how I write and how I speak are two different things. I would wait until you hear me speak before you judge my English

As for what English education can get you doing in Iceland, there's not much that I can think of. Teaching is one, translations, traveling guides. That's what I can come up with in couple of minutes. I aim to teach, though, but I have given it some thought as to what I should do if that plan goes south. I haven't thought of much yet :/

EDIT: And Loki, it does go without saying but thanks anyway for the tip

Raise your hands; who knows what I am actually learning in the University?

This is, next semester is my last one before I begin my studies for a Master's degree, which means I'm about to finish my Bachelor education in English. That is all nice and dandy, except for one thing: I might be moving to London for couple of years.

Nothing is set in stone as of yet, of course, but my girlfriend is applying for school in London and if all goes well she'll start her education in August/September. This involves moving to London, and since I would really like to avoid that whole "distance relationship" shtick I will most likely join her.

I am currently learning English, a mix of literature and linguistics, so I need to ask you people who live in England or the London area (preferably both), what the hell can I do in England with my education?

Don't feed the Grugg. It makes him ill-tempered.

Also, for me, it will always be pepsi, even if you spell it wrong.

Must admit I enjoyed this. He does make a fair point about saving his turning for when he really needs it. It is definitly how I would have played it.

On another note, I like how they are all drinking my favorite bevarage

Topic: Dragon Age Origins!
Subject: Steam

Steam also has it available for $49.99, but that's not a hard copy. A copy here in Iceland costs apperantly $51.59 (about 6,500 ISK). Come to think of it, that's not as much more expansive than Steam as I thought it would be.

I'm also considering to buy it for PC, but it is too expensive so I think I'll wait and ask for it in a Christmas present.

Not that I want to ruin everything that you believe is true, Vanadia, but there are 31 days in August. As such, Alacrity's birthday is 31 days before yours and not merely 30.

Or at least that would be true according to my calculating super-brain.

As Iceland's representative of this Inn, I would like to welcome you to this little nook of less-than-desired sanity. As you may or may not have noticed, we are a colorful flock of gamers, rulers and players.

Don't let that scare you, though. As scary as we may seem, we are of the kinder brand. Need help? Ask away. Need friends? You've found them. Need a hug? We're not that kind of friends, you perv.

Seriously, though, you've stumbled upon a good place
